A/N: I just wanted to take a few minutes to talk about this fanfiction and the things that I have found myself dealing with throughout the entire time that I have been writing it. I know that there are people out there who are wondering about when the next chapter is coming out and just when I plan on having Olivia and Amanda getting together since I have spent the entire time bouncing between telling about Kylee and the things that she has been going through as well as telling about Amanda and Olivia and the different things that they have been through since they had been working on Kylee's particular case. I will be the first one to admit that getting as far as I have when it comes to this fanfiction has been relatively difficult, especially when it comes to the other things that I have been spending my time doing outside of the writing that has been taking place for each chapter that I have added to this particular fanfiction. With everything that has been happening and this current state where everybody has found themselves having to stay home until after this virus is done and over with I have been doing everything that I possibly can to make sure that the things that I have been writing about make some kind of sense so that people will not end up being extremely confused by the story that they are currently reading.
With all that being said I would just like to let people know that the first book of Adopted will be coming to an end soon, but I will be starting the second book to the series after taking a small break in between to work on another fanfiction that I have been getting different ideas for. For those people who enjoy the Harry Potter books and movies you will be rather happy to know that I will be writing a fanfiction that is based on the characters from the movies. I will also be making an attempt to write a fanfiction that is based on the television series American Horror Story, but this story may only be dealing with characters that had been in the third season since I have always had a fascination with witches for the longest time.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the people that have been reading everything that I have been writing about no matter how bad it might have seemed to be during that time. I know that reading this particular fanfiction could not have been very easy to do at times but I will admit that I have been doing everything that I possibly can to make the story as interesting as humanly possible even if I am dealing with writer's block at certain times and no matter how busy I might be getting during these different times. Please remember to keep your negativity to yourself if you find that there is something happening within these pages that you do not particularly like because in the end it was your choice to continue reading a fanfiction that you did not necessarily care for and you knew deep down that it was something that you were not really going to like during that time. Just because you do not like something that another person had written about a particular fandom does not mean that you should treat them badly because you did not like a choice that you had made during the time that you were reading something that the person had spent a lot of time and dedication working on throughout that entire time. When push comes to shove you would not want that person doing the same things to you when it came to something that you had been working rather hard on that they may not have liked for whatever reason. In the end you should always treat other writers with the same respect that you would want them to be treating you in and that includes not treating them badly because you did not like the things that they had written.

By the time that Friday had come around Amanda had been pretty sure that she would find herself struggling with the things that her daughter had been wanting her to do once the work day had come to an end. Throughout the entire week that Amanda and Olivia had been working she had found herself wondering if her daughter had completely understood the reason that her mother had barely been home whenever there had been a case that she had been working on during that time. She knew that during those times she could always count on Maria to look after Jessie, but it was those times after she had gotten home that Amanda would find herself having to make sure that Jessie and her temper tantrums had not caused too much trouble because she just had not been getting her own way. Now that Amanda and Olivia had planned another play date and sleepover for the kids it had seemed that certain things had calmed down to a certain extent. Jessie had seemed to have a child's mentality when it came to the days of the week and how long it would take before she was able to spend time with Noah the way that she had honestly wanted to be doing.
Amanda had been pretty sure that Olivia was going through some of the same things when it came to Noah, but neither woman had really said much about these things throughout the work day because they knew that people were always watching and listening to everything that they had been saying during that time. Amanda had always felt that it wasn't anybody else's business what they were doing during the days that they would have off and it shouldn't have been their business during those working hours either since they had always managed to stay rather professional at that time. Of course, nobody had seemed to think about the fact that Amanda and Olivia had always remained professional throughout the entire time that they had been working together which was something that Amanda had found herself thinking about throughout that entire time. She had known that the people that she happened to be working with during that time would never have said anything about the things that they had witnessed when it came to the relationship that she had with Olivia, but if there had been members of IAB around you could guarantee that trouble would have eventually started once they had seen the way that Amanda and Olivia had been acting whenever they were around each other. That was always the one thing that Amanda had felt rather worried about after she had admitted the truth to Olivia several weeks earlier. Amanda knew that at the moment the one thing that had seemed to matter was the fact that the kids had seemed to realize that there was something happening between them that would sooner or later change their lives as well as the lives of Amanda and Olivia if things had continued in the way that they had been for quite some time.
When work had ended that Friday for Amanda and Olivia it was obvious that they were going to be preparing for yet another sleepover that they had planned earlier that week for Noah and Jessie. Even though Amanda and Olivia had made other people believe that these sleepovers were mainly for the kids, deep down they had both known that these sleepovers had been helping both of the adults as well as the kids since there had been so many things that Amanda and Olivia had wanted to attempt to forget about throughout the rest of the week. Ever since the day that Kylee had found another foster home it had seemed that Amanda and Olivia had been working on case after case. Olivia had been taking the time out of her rather busy and hectic schedule to talk to Kylee's current social worker and making sure that she had been doing everything possible to make sure that Kylee was getting everything that she had needed while she had been living with her newest foster family. Amanda knew right from the moment that Kylee's case had started that Olivia had seemed to have a connection with her and it was because of that connection that Amanda had been doing whatever she could to help the woman that she loved. Amanda knew that this was something that was rather frustrating for Olivia, especially when you had considered the fact that Kylee had seemed to want and need Olivia to be in her life even if she had ended up in a situation where Olivia could no longer be around her. All that Amanda could do was hope that there was some way that these sleepovers and play dates for the kids would eventually be helping Olivia deal with everything that had been happening during these weeks since the trial had been taking place.
Amanda had absolutely no idea just what would be happening shortly after this most recent sleepover, but she did realize that sooner or later there was going to be trouble starting because of certain people that Olivia had worked with over the years that would be acting out of complete jealousy. Amanda had known that around the time that she had first started working at SVU that there had been rumors circulating that Olivia had been dating a fellow officer by the name of Brian Cassidy and just like some of the other officers that had been brought in from the academy Brian had found himself being transferred into another unit after trouble had started over a case that he had worked on after he had supposedly moved in with Olivia during their relationship. Brian had eventually ended that relationship with Olivia when it had become incredibly obvious that Olivia had not believed a single word that Brian had told her after he had ended up with charges being brought against him for supposedly raping a girl that he had worked with during this particular case. For the first time ever Brian had ended up being arrested and locked up because of the fact that there had been evidence against him that had proven that these things had happened. Brian had done everything that he could think of to prove his innocence but it had seemed that even after the jury had come back proving that he was innocent of the crimes that he was being accused of Olivia had ended up with reasons that she could not believe that Brian had been completely innocent. There had just been too many things that had been associated with that case that had caused Olivia to wonder just how Brian could have been innocent after all of the evidence that had been found against him throughout the entire time that he was supposedly working undercover. Amanda had been one of the few officers that had been assigned this particular case and for whatever reason she had gotten the feeling, even then, that if Brian had been found innocent of these crimes that it would not be long before he had found himself being transferred out of the unit because of certain things that had eventually taken place.
Now that Olivia was captain Brian had seemed to be doing everything that he could to get back into the unit that he had been transferred out of. This had definitely not been easy for him, especially since people had known about everything that he had done when he had been dating Olivia and just how these things had eventually affected her. Amanda had been pretty sure that Olivia would not want Brian back to working at SVU, but at certain times it was becoming obvious that if the papers had come in for Brian to be transferred in that she just would not have any kind of choice in the matter except to accept it the way that it currently was. Throughout the entire weekend while the kids had been so busy playing and talking about the things that they had honestly considered to be rather important Amanda and Olivia had been discussing certain things that had been happening throughout the week and that had included the fact that Brian had seemed to become interested in returning to SVU despite the fact that he had been unable to handle certain things that the unit had been known for during the time that Cragen had been captain. The truth was that Brian had been transferred out because of the fact that he had been given that one case that he had been unable to handle for various reasons. Brian had known why he had been transferred out and yet that had never stopped him from considering the fact that he had always wanted to return but had always found that area completely blocked because of that one case that he had seemed to struggle with when he had first started working for that particular unit.
Brian knew that even though he had been working for IAB for the past few years there had been things happening that had gotten him to start thinking about the different things that had caused so many of these changes had been taking place. Even though he had been given many cases where he would have to start working undercover Brian could not stop thinking about the things that had happened when he had been working for SVU. One of the main things that Brian had thought about during that time was what had happened when his relationship with Olivia had started and eventually ended which had caused some of the problems that he was currently facing, especially when it came to the fact that he was wanting nothing more than to return to SVU where he had hoped that Olivia would still be in the same place and would have been waiting for him to realize how stupid he had been from the very beginning. For quite a while now Brian had been hearing a few things about Olivia that had made him wonder if there was any way that these stories and rumors that he had been hearing had been true. Brian had never said anything to the people that he had been working with about the things that had happened in his life since the day that he had met Olivia, but at certain times he was pretty sure that people were finding out about everything that he had done since he had ruined the first case that he had ever worked on when he had been working undercover. Olivia had known right from the moment that he had been given this case that there was a chance that he would find himself in a situation that he had not been sure he could handle and eventually it had led to him getting into trouble because of the accusations that had been talked about throughout that entire first year that he had been working at SVU. When he had found himself being transferred out of the unit because of the relationship that he had eventually had with Olivia, Brian had known that it would be a long time before he had been given the opportunity to return to the unit, even after their relationship had come to a rather drastic end.
After their relationship had ended Brian had found himself being trained by Ed Tucker to work for IAB, even though he would still find himself working undercover on the various cases that IAB happened to be working on throughout that entire time. Brian was pretty sure that once he had started working for IAB that he was going to find it almost impossible to return to SVU, especially since he knew that Olivia was now the captain and he was sure that she would do just about anything that she could to have him back in her life. At least that was what Brian had led himself to believe throughout the entire time that these things had been taking place. Brian had never stopped to consider the fact that Olivia would have moved on with her life and that over the years that he had been gone her life had definitely changed. He had never thought about the fact that by the time he had thought of making a return to SVU that Olivia would have been taking care of a young boy who was now her son as well as entering into a rather serious relationship with someone that was definitely nothing like him in the slightest way. The truth was that by the time that Brian had returned to working with Olivia he would end up being completely shocked by the fact that she was dating Amanda and things had changed for the better for her and it would definitely leave Brian out in the cold throughout the times that he had led himself to believe that he still stood a chance with the captain of SVU.
Kylee had been living with Billy and Emily for about a month when she had overheard them talking about a few of the things that they had wanted to change, especially when it came to Kylee and the things that she had been able to do throughout the time that she had been living with them. Billy had honestly thought that Kylee should have been staying home and helping Emily around the house while Emily had wanted to make sure that Kylee had gotten as much education as she could possibly get during that time. For several days Kylee had heard Emily and Billy fighting and arguing about some of the things that they had both wanted for her, which had only proven to make Kylee wish that there had been a way that she could get out of this nightmare that had only started because she was determined to make sure that Jerimiah had paid for everything that had happened during the time that she had been living with him and his wife at the time.
Kylee had seemed to realize that living with Emily and Billy was different from everything that she had previously been dealing with, but there had definitely been those times when Kylee had wondered what would be happening if she had managed to talk to Amanda or even find a way to talk to Olivia about the things that she had really been wanting. There was no way that her foster parents or even her new social worker would understand about the things that Kylee had been thinking about and even if they did Kylee was not entirely sure if she had wanted them to know about these things since they were definitely people that she had been finding it difficult to trust. Kylee was sure that Emily had noticed a few of these things and that in many ways it had seemed to bother her more than she had really been letting on but at the same time the question was whether Billy could understand the reason that Emily had been starting to think that it was time for them to call Kylee's social worker and have her placed in a different foster home. Kylee knew that this was something that she should have been expecting considering the fact that she had remained quiet for the amount of time that she had been living with Billy and Emily, but the truth was that when her social worker had arrived early that Saturday morning she had been surprised that someone had actually made the phone call that would lead her to one of two places. She was either going to find herself back in the group home or she was going to find out that her social worker was taking her to another foster home that would sooner or later add to her already long nightmare.
