Chapter Thirty

You make my hands shake
I watch the glass break
Around my guarded heart tonight
This ain't no mistake
You make my earth quake
You feel like thunder in the sky

-Jessie J (Thunder)

Harry placed his ornate fork down on the silver plate before him and took a quick glance around the Great Hall. He spotted Cedric out the corner of his eye and looked back over at Ron who was telling them all about his late-night date with Krum. Apparently the two of them had gotten themselves into a spot of trouble because they had been caught by the Ravenclaw Prefect.

"He's an okay kisser," Ron nodded his head, snatching another bread roll from the basket. "More of a cuddle bug and sweet talker. You know how his voice makes me drool."

Harry chuckled under his breath. Cedric is an excellent kisser.

Hermione, Neville, and Ginny were looking from Ron to Harry.

"What?" Harry asked, leaning away from their intense gazes. "What is it?"

"Well?" Hermione asked, putting her goblet down. "What about the Third Trial? We know it is a maze full of monsters. Have you at least been practicing? Do you have a plan?"

"Of course," Harry nodded his head. "Cedric and I have been working together. We have a few spells and several potions ready to go."

Hermione blinked, looking quite surprised. "Seriously?"

Harry grinned at her, feeling pretty good about it. "The two of us are going to be fine."

He took quick notice of Ginny looking at him and squinting. This caused him to cock his head to the side.

"You okay?" He asked.

Ginny nodded her head. "I'm good. I just feel as if I've forgotten something, that's all. Like there is a tiny hole where a piece should fit."

"Vegetable or mineral?" Ron asked between big bites of bread.

Neville rolled his eyes. "Homework?"

She scratched the back of her head and shook it. "I'm sure it'll come to me at some point."

"Probably just as you're about to fall asleep," Hermione grinned.

Harry sat back and gazed up at the high vaulted ceiling. He blew a dark lock away from his left eye and silently sighed. It was a rather happy sigh. Cedric wanted to meet him tonight and to bring his invisibility cloak. The Prefect was obviously going to have them get into some kind of mischief.

I can't wait!

"Hey," Cedric's voice greeted him, having him to snap back into reality. The taller teen was kneeling right beside him. "Can I sit with you for a minute?"

Harry instantly made room for his boyfriend to take a seat beside him. He could a hundred set of eyes on them. Cedric took the spot beside him and leaned close to his ear.

"Meet me in the dungeons at ten," he whispered.

Harry turned his head and gazed into his eyes. "Okay."

Cedric grinned from ear to ear and kissed him right there. One could have heard a pin drop and Harry didn't care. He leaned into that kiss until a rather loud and rude cough had them both slowly separate.

Snape rolled his eyes and kept on walking.

"See you later," Harry whispered.

Cedric pecked him on the cheek, ruffled his hair, and sprinted away. Harry watched him vanish through the double doors.

Like a bunch of owls, four sets of eyes were looking at him expectantly.

"What?" He asked.

Hermione pursed her lips and Ron was giving him the look. Ginny and Neville were both smirking.

"What?" He asked again. Louder this time.

Hermione, Ginny, and Neville looked away and Ron shrugged his shoulders. He snatched the bread roll from Ron and started chucking pieces at them.

I'm going to hold the door open and you're going to follow me into the Hufflepuff Common Room.

What?

We're spending the night together.

We are?

We are.

Harry had never felt so excited. Following silently as a ghost behind Cedric. Their Common Room was warm and inviting. It actually looked more comfortable than Gryffindor's. Harry was being very careful not to bump into anyone as Cedric weaved through the small crowd that was wishing him well.

"Hufflepuff will bring glory to Hogwarts!"

"Yeah!"

"You got this in the bag, Cedric!"

"Even if he is your boyfriend, you trip his ass!"

"CEDRIC! GO CEDRIC!"

He followed Cedric through a large circular opening and down a honeycomb hallway to a large door. Cedric opened it up and Harry brushed past him and into the warm darkness that greeted him. Harry stood in the dark, smelling something sweet and yummy in the air. The door closed behind him and Cedric whispered a spell.

Faerie fire illuminated the bedroom with a magical aura. Harry's eyes widened when he saw the large four poster bed before him draped in flowing silk. Red and pink rose petals littered the floor towards the bed where the bed was covered in them. On either side of the bed were large incense burners and that sweet-smelling smoke slithered through the air.

He dropped the invisibility cloak to the floor with a soft thud. Cedric placed his large hands on either side of his slender shoulders.

"Do you like?"

Harry's heart did a little pitter patter. His stomach was alive with butterflies banging around.

"It's beautiful."

Cedric squeezed his shoulders.

Harry stepped forward a few steps and reached out to touch the silk. It was soft as spiderweb and shimmered as if spun from water under sunlight.

"Harry?"

Turning around, Harry found Cedric on one knee. The Boy Who Lived nearly had his knees go out from under him, but still he stood. His heart was racing like the wind across a wide-open field.

The look on Cedric's face was the most vulnerable Harry had ever seen it. Those eyes were warm and tender.

Those big hands were offering him a small box the colour of a robin's egg. With surprisingly steady hands, Harry gently took the offered box from him and very slowly lifted the top off. His eyes widened when he saw what lay inside on fresh jasmine petals.

His breath stopped and his heart nearly burst.

It was Cedric's house ring.

"Will you wear my ring, Harry?"

Tears streamed down Harry's face. "It's too big."

Cedric snorted and then burst out laughing. Harry grinned and lifted the ring out of the box.

Cedric rose to his feet and took the ring from Harry and slipped it onto the smaller boy's finger kissing his cheek. Taking out his wand, he whispered a charm. The size of the ring began to shrink little by little until it comfortably fit Harry. Gazing at it under the faerie fire, it twinkled on his finger like a star.

So much love welled up inside Harry, he felt like he was going to explode if he didn't somehow release it. He wrapped his arms around Cedric, pulling him close and still he didn't feel close enough.

"Cedric?" He whispered, gazing up into those smoky orbs that shimmered with tears. "Why…are you crying?"

"I'm not," Cedric said, shaking his head. "I'm just so happy." Cedric squeezed him back.

Cedric leaned his head down and kissed him on the brow.

"Cedric?"

"Hmm?"

Harry's hand snaked down and gently took hold of the taller teen's most sensitive appendage. He felt it instantly begin to stiffen.

"Make love to me."

Cedric leaned into Harry's touch. "Are you sure?"

"Yes." Harry answered him, squeezing.

They both bathed with each other and dripping with water and skin glistening with forest scented oils, Harry took his place on Cedric's large bed. Rose petals stuck to his soft skin as Cedric crawled up the length of him and loomed above him like a mountain. The weight of Cedric's body felt so good. The feel of him. The size and power.

Cedric very slowly and tenderly prepared Harry. It was weird and intrusive, but he trusted Cedric with all he had. The more Cedric did, the more it felt good and the more he wanted.

Harry could see the sheer size of Cedric and wondered what it would feel like to be speared. Reaching out for a bottle of oil, Harry poured some into his palm. He rubbed the cold liquid between his hands, warming it. Gripping Cedric's thick length, he massaged the oil as Cedric instructed.

"According to the text," Cedric said. "This should make it easier and hurt less."

Harry didn't care about pain. All he'd ever known was pain. Mental. Emotional. And physical.

This was love.

What was a moment of pain if it brought pleasure after?

"Not so fast," Cedric hissed, biting his lower lip. Harry felt Cedric's member pulse.

Green eyes glowed.

Harry released him and laid back. Cedric began to spread his legs, pulled him gently down and positioned that arrow.

The older boy looked at him. "Are you sure?"

Harry nodded. "I love you."

That was all Cedric needed.

That first moment was uncomfortable, a sharp stabbing pain, and then Cedric started to slowly move. In and out. Back and forth. That place deep inside Harry was being touched and he gazed up at Cedric who was gazing down at him. The back of his knees resting against Cedric's broad shoulders. Cedric's hot mouth took his and Harry went mad under him.

"Faster," Harry whispered, digging his fingers into Cedric's skin.

Cedric's thrusts became faster, but they were gentle and took care. Their bodies rocking to the rhythm of their breaths. Both hearts beating as one crystal organ.

Harry cried out and Cedric followed after. The larger boy trembled above him and collapsed. Both laid there trying to catch their breaths.

Harry squeezed and Cedric moaned and slowly withdrew. That mouth right on his throat. Harry lifted his hand up and smiled at the ring on his finger.

The two spent hours exploring each other's bodies.

Thunder boomed and Cedric reached for his wand. Lifting it high over their heads, he made a wide circle and the ceiling instantly began to mirror the sky outside. Bringing his wand down, the walls and floor took on the very same enchantment.

The entire bedroom looked as though the two of them were on a bed floating in the very heart of a raging storm cloud. Dark locks billowed around Harry's face in a magical breeze as he once more lowered himself onto Cedric.

A swift crackle of lightning illuminated his bones and thunder echoed as he gazed down into those grey eyes that were drinking him all in. Cedric was looking at him with such want. Harry began to move as black clouds rolled by them. Cedric had his large hands on the smaller boy's hips and Harry raised his arms high in the air as lightning flashed above and below.

Sweat broke out on Harry's smooth brow and Cedric had a hand around him, stroking to the same rhythm as Harry rocked. His green eyes gazing at the ring Cedric had slid onto his finger.

Will you wear my ring, Harry?

It twinkled just like a star on his finger and he could only smile. Cedric pushed up and Harry leaned forward so their lips could meet.

Passion.

Cherishing.

Devotion.

Allegiance.

Trust.

LOVE.

Laying in each other's arms, rose petals all around and on them, Harry counted Cedric's heartbeats. He lost track after a thousand. The older teen slept peacefully.

The moon appeared over Harry and a few stars began to shine through the fading storm. Deep inside the darkest most recesses of his mind, he found himself standing before a bed in the silence of the school infirmary. Something or someone was laying underneath that single white sheet. Reaching out with a scratched and bloody hand to pull the sheet back, a heartbreaking sob distracted him. Looking up, he was staring across the bed at his own face staring back.

He froze.

A nightmare. No other words could describe such horror. Terror filled him. He was looking at the beautiful face of Death.

And Death was staring back at him.

No scar…

That mouth seemed to unhinge revealing teeth that could render flesh from bone. It opened impossibly wide and the scream that issued forth shattered him completely.

"CEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC!"

The sheet was ripped away and Harry saw Cedric's body laying there. Cold. Grey. No breath. All warmth torn away.

"THEY DID THIS!" The vison shrieked, jumping across the bed and snatching Harry by the throat. Tears streamed like blood from those wide glowing emerald eyes, as that hand lifted him from his feet. "LOOK WHAT THEY DID TO US!"

He squeezed his eyes tightly shut and snapped them open. Cedric was leaning over him, gently tapping his right cheek. His handsome face was dark and full of concern. He drew in a deep breath and started coughing.

"Harry?" He said, pulling him into his arms. "It's okay. You're okay."

"Bad dream," Harry coughed against him, struggling to calm his racing heart. "Very bad dream."

Cedric held him close. "You're safe."

Harry held him, feeling his warmth. Those strong arms around him, breathing him in.

"Shh," Cedric soothed, running his hands through Harry's locks. "I'm here."

Harry closed his eyes, allowing Cedric to comfort him. Cedric planted kisses on top of his head.

"I love you." Harry whispered.

Cedric gave him a little squeeze. "I love you."
