Holding the small boy as far away as possible but still in my arms, I nervously smiled at the blue-eyed bub "He's-" I glanced at his drooling face before locking eyes with my sister "-precious."

Brian and Mia both laughed at my awkwardness, we had been back in America for a few days, and they had been pushing me to hold their son for an official 'auntie and nephew bond.'

However, I felt like they loved their child very much, and if I broke him, they'd probably be a little upset, so I put it off until Mia literally thrust the child into my arms after pretending to hand me a beer.

After giving the chip to Hobbs, we were all are granted pardons for our criminal indiscretions and were allowed to return to Los Angeles, California, where Dom said our childhood home was waiting for us.

I remember getting to the old overgrown-looking house and staring at it; apparently, it had been in the family since before Dom was born, and I was literally born here after my mother didn't get to the hospital in time.

Mia, who had yet to let me go, showed me around explaining things had happened there with a smile on her face as if she was hoping the place would bring back my memories.

It didn't.

Even sleeping in the muted gray room felt like I was living in a hotel room almost like it was a temporary situation instead of my childhood bedroom, but the bright smile on her face was the reason I hadn't informed her of that.

I found an arm cast in the drawer, too. I guess I had broken my arm and kept the artistically covered plaster. There were plenty of names I couldn't place and didn't bother to try.

At the sound of his son fussing, Brian lifted the small baby out of my arms as I gave him an appreciative look. "Don't worry, you'll grow into it" he smiled with identical blue eyes as his child looking confident.

"I'm sure I will," I nervously laughed, holding Jack's tiny hand in mine as I smiled at my sister.

It still felt weird calling her and Dom my siblings, but I would probably grow into that too, although both responsibilities felt a little daunting right now.

Giving the couple a weak smile, I moved away to sit with Han, Tej, and Roman as they 'manned' the barbecue another thing my family did on the regular, they said bbq's were a time to be thankful and to be family.

"You okay?" Han asked as I grabbed a beer and sat down next to him on the stairs, I glanced at his tired face, a telling sign of him not sleeping probably due to nightmares.

I was having the same problem, every time I closed my eyes, I could hear Owen's scream as he dropped from the plane.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" I retorted as he chuckled, taking a sip of his beer before looking down. "I'm really sorry about Gisele, Han," I say quietly as I think about the brunette female.

Han sighed heavily as he sniffed. "It's not your fault," he shrugs, but it wasn't a rude motion more of a surrendering shrug, as if he knew nothing we said or do could bring her back- and it couldn't.

"She liked you, you know?" I frowned at his words, Brian had already informed me the role Gisele played in my life before my amnesia "You impressed her, and she respected you for that."

I gave a small hollow laugh as Han looked deep in thought. "I'm going to Tokyo," he announced suddenly as I glanced at him. "You're welcome to visit whenever you need to," he explained with a face of understanding.

My cover was blown, I obviously didn't look at home like I was doing my best to portray to my family "Thank you. I'll think about it" Han just nodded again as he continued to sip his beer.

"Hey, Mia, you better hide your baby oil," Roman joking called out as I saw Hobbs walking into the backyard. "I'm just playing," the jokester said, holding up his hands as the DSS Agent barely glanced at him.

"You better hide that big-ass forehead."

Tej and I spat out our beer at that clap-back, and I stood up to salute Hobbs. "I was just joking, but whatever" Roman glared at me as I laughed, "Definitely not that funny."

I just grinned at the man as he almost pouted like a child.

"It's official. You're all free" Hobbs informed us as he handed Dom some paperwork "It wasn't half bad, having you work for me" The DSS Agent joked as Dom let out a laugh of his own.

"We all know you were working for me, Hobbs." I smiled at the carefree look on all their faces, it was a drastic difference from what I had seen in a long time.

This whole situation was a vast difference from how I had been living, it made me realize my 'team' wasn't a family like I once thought. These people were family, you could see it written in their shared smiles and feel it in their embraces.

"Agree to disagree," Brian compromised as he held his small family in his arms, looking a far cry from the broken man who heard his love screaming his name after being kidnapped. "Thank you."

I watched as Letty walked closer to a blonde woman, I was confused at the expression on the guys' faces, I had no idea what was going on "This is gonna be awkward" Tej commented as he and Roman spoke in unison "But sexy as hell."

Han noticed my bewildered expression and pointed to the two women with his beer bottle "Dom and Letty broke up when you were gone, and he was with Elena until we found out you were alive. Now he's back with Letty".

My eyebrows raised as I stood "Oof awkward," I joking grimace as I walked over to the two women who seemed to be talking amicably, they were even laughing with each other.

"Rosalie," Elena said as if we already knew each other "I'm happy to see you're okay" the blonde woman smiled happily even though her heart must be hurting seeing the man she loved back with his ex.

"Thank you" I grinned as I shook her offered hand, she seemed nice enough, "I also wanted to thank you for looking after my brother while I was dead" I explained as her eyes widened.

Letty sighed as she held a hand over her eyes "Mija, I've told you not to say it like that. You weren't dead" she told me with a half-smile, I knew I'd get away with it.

I had already scared one of our elderly neighbors, who still believed I was deceased. That was an unfortunate situation, but also funny as hell.

"Tell that to my gravestone," I argued as Elena let out a snort before apologizing at Letty's exasperated face as she tried not to laugh herself, maybe joking was a way to get through the grief.

Letty slung her arm around my shoulders and pulled me away from the amused but shocked blonde woman "You are going to give people heart attacks" she laughed in my ear as I glared at her.

"Like I knew she still thought I was dead!" I argued remembering Dom explaining to the paramedic that Mrs. Walker thought I was a spirit after the poor elderly woman passed out from shock.

"All right, everybody, let's eat" Tej called as he and Roman began to bring the food to the table, Dom and Elena parted ways as we crowded around the table.

"Want some help with that?" Letty offered, but both men shook their heads as they laid the food down.

"It's all here, it's done," Roman said as I sat down in my chair next to Mia "Come on man, let's get with it" the dark-skinned man whined as he ate a chip from one of the bowls causing Brian to jeer at him.

"First bite, he's got grace," The blond called out as he pointed at his friend, "House rules, man. House rules," he grinned at the exasperated expression on Roman's face when Brian called him out.

I just smiled at I watched the duo "Rose" I heard Dom call, and I turned to face him appreciating the name he'd been so careful at calling me, 'Rose Toretto' it was different, but it was mine.

"Any of this feel familiar to you?" Dom questioned quietly as he sat in the chair next to mine, at the head of the table with Letty perched on his lap, smiling at the same thing I had been amused at.

"No," I answered truthfully as I glanced around the yard and the house. "But it feels like home," I countered, not so honestly after seeing his face drop after hurting him once I didn't want to do it again.

Reaching for my hand, I grinned when he gently squeezed it. "That's good enough for me" I beamed back grateful at his patience, it probably felt like old times to him, but for me, it was a brand new life.

"All right, y'all. Come on, let's do this," Roman called out from the other end of the table as we all turned our attention back towards him.

"Okay, Roman, bless our table" I watched as the others all held the hands of each other and felt Mia place my hand on the one she was using to hold Jack with a soft smile as I reciprocated it laughing when the baby boy put his hand on my face with a babble.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad being here.

"Father, thank you for the gathering of friends.

Father, we give thanks for all the choices we've made,

because that's what makes us who we are.

Let us forever cherish the loved ones we've lost along the way.

Thank you for the little angel, the newest addition to our family.

Thank you for bringing our Rose home.

And most of all, thank you for fast cars."
