(Note from writer: You know I just realized that Beach City is located in Maryland and Gravity Falls is in Oregon. So, when they travel to Beach City from Oregon, they are basically traveling across the US. Ok, I just thought that was weird and wanted to share that. Ok, enjoy the chapter!)
Dipper had been going to sword practice for 2 weeks now, and he was getting pretty good. Even Connie was helping out Pearl during sword practice. Sword fighting had it's benefits. Dipper was more confident. Pearl had given him a sword to take home. "Just, be careful!" Pearl said, after the end of the class. "Yes ma'am." Dipper said. When they appeared at the warp pad back in Oregon, Mabel said, "How are you gonna hide that sword from Stan?" Oh...no. He hadn't thought of that. "Hmm, the window is open, so I could float them up there." Steven thought. "Here, come with me." Steven said, pulling the kids aside. They were just below the window to Dipper and Mabel's room. "Too bad I didn't bring my grappling hook." Mabel said. "I've got an even better idea." Steven said. "Hold on tight." Steven said. The twins grabbed on to Steven. "Still, I don't understand how you are gonna-WOAH!" Dipper said, before being caught off guard.
They all started to float in the air. "Please don't drop me." Dipper said, very nervous. "I won't drop you." Steven said. They got to the window and had a safe landing. "Wow! I don't know if I like using the warp pad or floating!" Mabel said. "I definitely like the warp pad better." Dipper said. "Ok, hide that thing." Mabel said. "Oh! Right." Dipper said, forgetting he even had it. He put it under his bed. "I can't believe it! My brother is a sword fighter!" Mabel said. "I wouldn't even think about that until I saw you and Connie form Stevonnie." Dipper said. "Yeah, how did you do that?" Mabel asked. "Well, you really have to trust that person you are gonna fuse with, and if you and that person are in sync, it just works out." Steven said. "Hey, at least we know how it works." Dipper says. "Wait, I have a surprise for you!" Mabel says. "Ok, but make it quick, I have to get to practicing soon." Dipper said. "Here, Dipper, close your eyes. But follow me!" Mabel said. "Mabel, how am I supposed to follow you AND close my eyes at the same time?" Dipper said. "Ok, fine. Just hold onto my hand." Mabel said. Mabel led him to another room. "Ok, open!" Mabel said, excitedly.
Dipper opened his eyes to see a small party. "Surprise!" Mabel said. "Wait, why are you doing this for me?" Dipper asked. "This is a 'Because You're Doing so Well' party!" Mabel said. "Also, you've been so busy practicing and I thought you could use a break." Mabel added. "I really appreciate this but, I'm kinda busy." Dipper said. "Oh come on! Why don't you just have a little fun with us?" Mabel said. "I second that." Steven said. "Seriously, guys. I need to get back to work." Dipper said. "I know what will change your mind." Mabel sang. Mabel popped a cd into her music player. 'Disco Girl' started to play out of it. Dipper started to blush with embarrassment. "Yep, you gave me even more reason not to do this." Dipper said, still blushing. "If you just spend a few minutes with us, we promise not to get in the way." Steven said. Dipper looked at his sister, knowing she had done a lot of work to do this for him. "Oh, ok. Fine." Dipper said. "Yay!" Mabel said. Mabel and Steven start dancing. Dipper didn't budge out of his chair. "Dipper, why don't you dance with us?" Steven asked. "Aren't you gonna have a little fun?" Mabel asked. "I am, I just don't like to dance." Dipper says. "Well, try something new." Steven said, holding out his hand. Dipper thought about it. He finally caved in. "Ok." Dipper said.
Steven pulled Dipper out of the chair as they started to dance. Dipper joined in. "Heh. This is kinda fun." Dipper thought. Steven started to laugh. Dipper also began laughing. Steven's gem started to glow and light formed around the two.
