25. Chapter 18

Hi everyone! Hope everything got better with the virus going around!

This chapter took me quite a while since I had small writer block.

Stage 18

After Rakshata and Diethard managed to retransmit the broadcasting, the whole world was able to see the massacre caused by Cornelia. Many were shocked at such display committed by Britannia. And even some of Cornelia's siblings and close friends were in disbelief.

They all got their reaction.

Schneizel was staring in horror at the massacre.

The Britannian nobles were more worried about themselves than the massacre, as there will be retribution.

The Chinese Federations were surprised but not shocked, since plenty of them were as corrupts as Britannia.

The Europia Union were stoic and paid no mind. They saw this as a karma for Britannia conquering their lands.

Nonette was looking in disbelief that her best friend was doing this and she couldn't believe her actions. Despite Cornelia having done the same thing in the Saitama Ghetto, this one was irrational, mainly because it was Euphemia's own proposed activity, and Cornelia would allow her if she just asks.

In Mother Base no one was able to see the incident, since they are having their own crisis at this very moment.

Mother Base, in the soldier quarters

Dafne followed the group of soldiers with Chico and Akira following her. Dafne couldn't help but smell that awful scent he smelled back in the Mess Hall. It came from that Peace Mark member; his scent was unnatural and somewhat rotten.

The group entered to one of the soldier quarters bunkers, with Dafne hiding behind one of the struts walls. She peeked to see if anyone got in or came out from the door.

"Dafne!" Called Chico as he and Akira approached her from behind.

Dafne quickly turned her head and shushed them.

"Quiet!" Whispered Dafne.

"What's wrong, Dafne?" Asked Akira.

"I caught a scent of something strange from one of them, that Peace Mark member"

Chico and Akira were surprised and shocked. Dafne told them before that during her time in the facility and experiments, her olfactory system became very advanced and it allowed her to smell anything, like a predatory animal.

"I don't know what is happening, but I got a bad feeling about this, and whatever he is doing inside, we must know it is and warn everyone!" Said Dafne as she peeked again.

She saw another group entering, this time 8 more of them, one of them being another Peace Mark member and the rest are MSF soldiers.

Dafne slowly stood up and decided to get in, but Chico stopped her by gabber her right hand.

"Wait!"

"Let go, Chico!"

"It's suicide to just go in! I know a way to get in, undetected" Said Chico

Dafne eyes softened a little but maintained her determined face.

She nodded, indicating him to lead the way.

"Come, this way!" Indicated Chico as they went to the right side of the quarter. Akira followed behind Chico while Dafne was behind and maintaining vigilant in case they were discovered.

Chico lead them to the back of the quarter. There was a metallic boulder, which is covered with a blanket. Chico removed the blanket, but Akira and Dafne saw nothing in particular, only the symbol of the Sandinistas.

"Chico there is nothing there, nada" Said Dafne deadpanned.

Chico let out a smirk

"Watch and learn" Chico softly pressed the symbol with his palm.

Suddenly the boulder slid silently to the left, revealing a small hole, enough for a kid to crawl in.

Akira and Dafne had an impressed look.

"Not bad, Chico" Complimented Akira.

"Thank you, Akira. Ladies first" Said Chico as he motioned Dafne to enter first.

Dafne eyes rolled in annoyance, but she smiled at Chico's gentleness.

Dafne crawled in, followed by Akira and Chico.

Once they entered, the hole they crawled in lead them to a set of crates, which surrounded the hole, but it had enough space for them to get out and hide behind it.

Dafne, Chico and Akira peeked from the crates and saw what was happening in the room.

There was a total of 50 soldiers, all of them were a mix of MSF, Forgotten Knights, Werewolve corps, Vikings of the North, Brotherhood of Iron and Steel, Lions of Khalahari , Fire Dragons and Roman League of Assassins.

One thing they noticed is that 20 of them were looking emotionless, 10 of them looked braindead, 10 looking like zombies, and 10 were being submissive. All of them were in front of 10 Peace Mark members, one of them stood out, which is a girl with pink hair, blue eyes and wearing the Peace Mark outfit.

"Good work. We can proceed our next objective. We split it in multiple groups and cause mayhem as much as we can." Said Clara.

"You, take 10 of them and go to the east side of Mother Base" She appointed one of the Geass users.

"Take these ones to the command center, we'll make commander Miller think that a spy got inside and then we assassinate him"

Dafne, Akira and Chico started to hear her plan. They were shocked to know that they got infiltrated by Peace Mark and they were planning to kill Miller.

"This is horrible" Muttered Chico.

Dafne slowly turned to Chico and whispered to him.

"Chico, I need your help"

"What is it?"

"I need you to get out and warn comandante Miller"

"What? What about you?"

"I'm going to stay and stall them as much as I can"

"What?! That's suicide!" Whispered Chico.

"Dafne, we should all just leave while they are still distracted" Advised Akira.

"Akira is right, we can just get out of here, all of us" Added Chico.

"I can't. If something happens to either of us or we get discovered; Miller, my friends and my family will be all killed by them!" Whispered back Dafne.

"But I can't leave you!"

"You must! You know this place better than us. You told me that you knew Mother Base like the back of your hand. You can get quickly to Miller and warn him about this!" Said Dafne.

Chico looked unsure. He didn't want to leave his friend behind and have her serve as a bait.

"What do we have here?"

They froze in fear when they suddenly heard a voice.

They lifted their heads and saw that it was a male Peace Mark member. His left eye showed a red bird shaped symbol.

Dafne, not taking any chances, leaped on the man while she pulled out her 2 claws.

*SNIKT!*

"HUUUUAAAAAAAH!" Dafne roared as she started to stab the man multiple time on the chest.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" The man fell on the ground, trying all he could to get Dafne off of him.

Everyone in the room looked to where the scream came from and saw them.

"Chico! Run!" Akira yelled.

Chico quickly crawled out from the hole.

Dafne finished stabbing the Peace Mark member, then she stood up and looked in front of her. All of the MSF members having their guns draw out.

"Akira! Come!" Called Chico.

"You go first, Chico!"

"NO! I'M NOT LEAVING YOU GUYS!" Protested Chico.

Akira was fed up with Chico's insistency.

"Damn it Chico! Do as we say and go!" Yelled Akira. Chico was taken aback at his sudden anger.

He clenched his fist and cursed.

"Shit!" With that, Chico ran away to the command center.

Akira let out a sad smile and stood up to face the apparently possessed MSF soldiers.

"Damn, it looks like we will have to change our plans" Cursed Clara. She then directed to 10 of her Geass users.

"Go! Take 40 soldiers and go after that kid! If necessary, kill any soldier you encounter!" Commanded Clara.

The 10 Geass users and soldiers exited the bunker, leaving only 10 possessed MSF soldiers, 5 Geass users and herself against Dafne and Akira.

"Looks like I'll have to take care of you two" Said Clara as she glared at the 2 kids.

Back in Japan, outside of the special zone

…

After Zero declared that Cornelia is the enemy, The Black Knights and MSF got out from their cover in the forest and dashed to the stadium.

As they charged through the landscape, they saw Sutherlands, which they were not aware of them yet. One of them seemed to notice them and activated its fact sphere, but the Guren destroyed it with its radiant wave before it could do anything.

"How dare that Cornelia! How dare she trick us like this!" Said Kallen with anger.

"ELEVENS!" A Gloucester charged at them, with several more Knightmares behind it.

"I knew this was your real intention!" Said Tohdoh as his Knightmare's sword decapitated the Gloucester.

3 Sutherlands opened fire at Ocelot. Quickly, his Knightmare drew out its revolvers and shot them down.

"This escalated quickly" Commented Ocelot as he saw the massacre of the Japanese.

MSF Knightmares were shooting down the Brittanians while the Black Knights were now closer to the stadium.

"It's the Black Knights!"

"Smash the Britannians!"

Japanese survivors saw them while they encouraged them.

Alligator's Knightmare was flying through the sky, searching for Cornelia.

"Where is she?" Said Alligator while looking through the screen.

Suddenly, bullets flew past him. It was the Black Knights.

"Shit" Cursed Alligator, the Black Knights were still unaware that he is undercover, which he can't blow it up yet.

He maneuvered his Knightmare and flew away from the assault team.

Inside the stadium, Ohgi's Knightmare was carrying Kirihara on its left hand while shooting down the enemy Knightmares.

"How dare you trample on everyone's hope like this, Cornelia!" Said Ohgi with a furious expression.

Big Boss ran through the street while the Britannians continued their massacre. He took extra caution on not to be detected by the Britannians. It has been 5 minutes since he got out of the stadium and searched for Cornelia.

"Boss!"

Big Boss heard it from his radio, it was Alligator.

"Yes?"

"I've found her! She is located just up ahead, in a Sutherland Knightmare. I'll pinpoint you which one is it!" Informed Alligator.

Big Boss took out his IDROID and searched the Knightmare. He found the pinpointed marker and quickly went to that direction.

"Boss, if you encounter her, try to incapacitate her. There is something wrong here and Cornelia seems to be under some kind of control" Added Alligator.

"I will" Said Big Boss, he was going to take her down non lethally either way.

Big Boss sprinted through the debris in order to hide from the Britannian Knightmares.

Big Boss stopped behind a wall and peeked. He saw that the Britannians were busy fighting back against the Black Knights, which gives him an advantage, they were all spread and that means that Cornelia was on her own.

He used his scope and scanned his surroundings. After several moments, he was able to see Cornelia inside the Knightmare she was in. Big Boss withdrew his scope and started to look for something that could damage the Knightmare without hurting the pilot. (NOTE: The location in which Big Boss and Cornelia are, is the same place where Lelouch shot Euphemia in the anime canon)

By some sort of luck, he saw a bazooka laying on the ground from a dead Britannian soldier just a little far from him on the north side, but it was located in the middle of the street, so he would have to make a run for it.

Big Boss readied himself to sprint towards the bazooka and hope that no enemy would see him.

After 5 seconds, Big Boss ran to get the bazooka.

It seemed that luck was on his side, as neither Cornelia nor any enemy present saw him grab the bazooka.

Big Boss hid behind a building when he crossed the road and Cornelia's Knightmare was getting closer to the building.

Big Boss loaded the bazooka with a round of rocket and waited for the right moment to attack.

Right after Cornelia's Knightmare walked past the building, Big Boss got out from his cover and shot the left leg from behind.

*BOOM!*

"WHAT?!" Shouted Cornelia.

The Knightmare, although the leg damaged, was able to turn around to look who shot. And while at it, she activated the machine gun on the Knightmare's chest.

Big Boss quickly ran to his right side, in order to avoid her sight and gunfire. While running, Big Boss loaded another round and aimed at the Knightmare again. He aimed the back of the Knightmare and fired.

*BOOM!*

"AAH!" Screamed Cornelia. The Knightmare fell on the ground and because of the damage sustained on the back, the emergency eject was jammed.

"Damn it!" Cornelia cursed, she pulled the lever in the cockpit and got out. She landed on the ground walked at was about to run away until Big Boss arrived from behind.

"Cornelia!" Called Big Boss. She turned around to face him.

"Ah, Big Boss. I was hoping to see you soon" Said Cornelia with a provocative tone.

"Cornelia, what happened there? You would never hurt your sister like that" Questioned Big Boss.

Suddenly he noticed something odd, Cornelia's eyelids were red for a moment and she was groaning in discomfort.

"She was weak!" Shouted Cornelia, this time the red eyelids seemed to disappear.

Just then, Cornelia drew out her gun and aimed at Big Boss.

By instinct, Big Boss quickly took cover behind a debris that was next to him.

He took out his Mk22 and shot at Cornelia.

Cornelia twirled her body and then aimed at Big Boss.

*BAM!*

Big Boss hid again, but it was a little late, as the bullet hit his Mk22 and destroying it in the process.

"Damnit!" Cursed Big Boss.

"Come out, Big Boss! Where is the fun if you keep hiding?" Taunted Cornelia.

"How about this? Let's settle this with our own hands. No weapons and no equipment" While Cornelia was speaking, she tossed her gun and removed her cape.

"Or are you afraid to hit a woman?" Taunted Cornelia again.

Big Boss peeked to see that she did toss away her gun and was facing him with nothing.

Cornelia smirked sadistically as she moved her right hand to her hips in a suggestive way.

"Come, honey. Don't be shy" Said Cornelia somewhat seductively as she motioned him to come closer.

Big Boss raised an eyebrow in confusion. Something was definitely wrong here.

Big Boss walked out from the debris and faced her.

"Alright, then" Big Boss said as he dropped his equipment's.

Cornelia continued to smile as she formed a combat pose. Big Boss then adopted his CQC stance.

They both charged, Cornelia sent her right arm while Big Boss sent his left arm, and both arms clashed at each other.

Meanwhile in another part of the special zone, the Gawain was shooting down the remaining Britannian aircrafts with the cannon.

"Damn it, where is she?!" Thought Lelouch in anger. At this moment, Lelouch started to lose his mind due to the sheer amount of wrath he was feeling. The one chance, the one opportunity that things could've been better, was thrown out the window the moment Cornelia shot someone, and he was not going to let her get away with it.

Lelouch then saw from his screen an image on a road. He saw Big Boss and Cornelia fighting each other with their own bare hands.

Lelouch decided to take this chance to get rid of her.

"C.C"

"Yes?"

"Lower the Gawain next to those buildings"

C.C obeyed him as she moved the Gawain to where Lelouch told her to go, a little away from Big Boss and Cornelia.

Cornelia delivered a left punch to Big Boss chest, but Big Boss stopped her punch with his left palm.

"Is this all what the legendary soldier can do? I was hoping something more challenging" Taunted Cornelia.

Big Boss held her fist as she was pushing him. Despite her appearance, she was really strong.

Cornelia then sucker punched his face with her other hand. Big Boss raised his right arm to block it. He successfully blocked it, but the impact was strong enough to stagger him a bit.

Big Boss took several steps back and recomposed himself. But right after that, Cornelia charged at him and pressed her attack.

He kept blocking her attacks and waited for an opening.

Cornelia then was about to uppercut him with her right arm. Big Boss leaned back his head to dodge it, and right after that, he delivered a roundhouse kick.

Cornelia blocked the kick with both her arms, but the impact was strong enough to stammer her and push her to her left side.

"AAHH!"

But as she fell, she was close to her Knightmare's leg and by some accident, she hit her forehead against the shin of the Knightmare.

"UUGH!"

She dropped to the ground while groaning in pain.

Big Boss remained focus on her, in case she tried something.

Cornelia put her hands on the ground and tried to lift up her body.

"Big…Boss…" Spoke Cornelia softly.

Big Boss then looked at her strangely. The way she spoke was devoid of killing intent.

Cornelia then turned her head to face Big Boss and it caused his eyes to widened a little.

Cornelia…. was crying, tears fell from her eyes and her expression was a mix of sadness and desperation. He also noticed that the red outlines on her eyes were back, but they were like fading in and out uncontrollably.

"Help….me…. Please!" Said Cornelia in a pleading tone.

"What?" Muttered Big Boss while trying to process this strange scenario.

"I… don't have…much time… before it comes back!" Struggled Cornelia as her body was slowly shaking.

One might think that she may be acting to catch Big Boss off-guard, but he was able to see her. She was genuinely asking for his help.

"What happened?!" Asked Big Boss.

"The… special zone…. massacre…. It wasn't me!" Replied Cornelia still struggling.

"He… set… me up!" Cornelia continued, trying to tell Big Boss the one responsible.

"Who?!" Questioned Big Boss again

" AAAHH!" Cornelia screamed as the Geass effect consumed her again.

Big Boss prepared himself for whatever it was about to happen.

Cornelia then smiled evilly as she stared at Big Boss

"You know what? Screw all of this!" She then went for her gun that was located to her left side.

Big Boss saw that his equipment's were behind him.

"I'll kill you by any means necessary!" Shouted Cornelia as she started to shoot at him.

Big Boss was able to take his equipment and hide take cover behind a debris just in time.

The bullets hit the debris, while Big Boss waited for the moment to attack.

He checked his equipment and saw something that could work.

Cornelia approached to the debris with her gun aimed. Suddenly, a grenade was thrown to her from the upside. She aimed at the grenade and shot at it.

*BAM!*

The bullet's impact caused the grenade to change its trajectory to the opposite side.

*Boom!*

The grenade exploded.

But then, Cornelia noticed something she did not expect. A stun grenade landed in front of her.

She covered her eyes and looked away.

*BAM!*

The stun grenade didn't affect her much, but this is all what Big Boss needed.

As soon as she uncovered her eyes, Big Boss was approaching her quickly.

She attempted to aim her gun at him, but Big Boss didn't allow her. Using one of his CQC moves, He grabbed her left arm with his right hand and then with other arm, he hit her body with the elbow, causing her to stammer backward.

Big Boss took this momentum to take, disarm the handgun and toss it to the ground.

Cornelia then twirled her body and used her right leg to kick his legs, causing him to fall. She then got on top of him, held down his arms with her hands and pinned him down with her body.

"Cornelia, you must fight it!" Said Big Boss, trying to let her gain back control of herself.

Cornelia chuckled as she leaned forward to Big Boss face.

"I don't think so, Big Boss. I will kill all those filthy Elevens, and after I'm done, I will go after your precious mercenaries" Threatened Cornelia.

Big Boss eyes hardened, he then headbutted Cornelia on her forehead.

"Ugh!" Cornelia recoiled as she stood up.

Big Boss stood up and saw that the red outlines on her eyes were slowly fading out. He knew what he had to do.

When Cornelia recovered, she saw Big Boss charging at her. Big Boss delivered a punch, but she blocked it with her left arm.

"Sorry, Cornelia" Said Big Boss as he suddenly punched her stomach with his other hand.

"AAGH!"

Cornelia stepped back in pain, her right hand resting on her stomach.

Big Boss then grabbed her left shoulder with his right hand and then started to punch her face 5 times with his left hand.

"Fight it, Cornelia!" Said Big Boss as he leaned back and then delivered a strong headbutt to her face.

"Aaah!"

Cornelia fell to the ground, with Big Boss breathing heavily.

Big Boss dropped to one knee as he continued to breath. It was a very intense fight, one that he was trying to avoid killing her.

He then heard a noise coming from behind him. He turned his head to see that it was Alligator's Knightmare flying to his direction.

Alligator saw on his monitor that Big Boss managed to stop her.

"Thank god" Sighed Alligator.

Big Boss then heard Cornelia groaning. He turned his head to see that she was raising her body and she was also breathing heavily.

"Big…Boss" Called Cornelia.

Once they made eye contact, Big Boss was able to see that her face was now of shock and relief.

He wondered if he made it.

"Cornelia?"

She looked down to her hands and was like in a trance.

"Cornelia" Called Big Boss again as he stood up.

"I-I can't believe what I have done…" Said Cornelia in shock.

"Cornelia!"

This time it got her attention as she looked at him.

"Thank you… For helping me" Said Cornelia gratefully as she stood up.

Big Boss let out a small smile. He then started to ask her the main problem.

" What happened? You said that someone did this" Spoke Big Boss.

Cornelia nodded her head and then was about to speak.

"It was-"

*BAM!*

Everything turned in slow motion. Cornelia's eyes were wide as she was falling forward and a trail of blood came out from behind her. Big Boss quickly dashed forward and held her body. Alligator looked in horror at what just happened.

Big Boss and Alligator then looked to see who shot Cornelia from behind.

It was Zero, his right hand raised with a handgun.

"No" Muttered Alligator in disbelief as he tried to quickly land the Knightmare.

"Cornelia!" Called Big Boss with a shocked tone. He held her down softly.

"Big…Boss" Cornelia muttered softly, then her eyes started to close slowly.

"Don't die on me!" Said Big Boss, but her eyes were now closed. Then he turned his sight to Zero.

"Zero, what have you done?!" Questioned Big Boss almost angrily.

Zero lowered his handgun as he spoke.

"I took care of the one responsible of massacring the Japanese" Said Zero.

"Damn it, Zero! You've got it wrong!" Reprimanded Big Boss.

"How? Cornelia killed everyone in the Saitama Ghetto. What makes this one any different?" Scowled Zero.

"Because she was under some kind of mind control!" Replied Big Boss.

Lelouch eyes widened a little at Big Boss statement.

"What?" Said Zero in shock.

"I saw her eyes while I was fighting with her. She had red outlines on her irises"

Zero stepped back a bit. All anger he had in him vanished after what Big Boss said. In its stead, it was shock and disbelief what he felt.

"No…" Lelouch thought in horror.

"Someone else, with Geass… caused this?! My anger… was misplaced?!" Lelouch entered into a state of shock.

"How could this happen?! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!"

"No… I have to atone this sin? Bear this cross?!" He felt a great amount of frustration. Had he been more open minded, he would not have shot Cornelia while she was under the Geass effect.

Just then, Alligator arrived to the site.

"Boss!" Called Alligator as he approached him, his eyes widened at Cornelia's state.

Alligator kneeled next to Big Boss and started to inspect her. Luckily, he was one of the best medics when he was once assigned to the medical staff.

But unfortunately, at this moment, he was not sure if Cornelia can be saved or not.

"She is losing blood fast, and the bullet impacted her spine" Said Alligator after inspecting her injuries.

Big Boss then carried Cornelia in bridal style offered to Alligator.

"Quickly, we don't have much time! Take her back and have her under treatment. Even if it's a small chance, you may yet save her!" Inquired Big Boss. He not only wanted to save Cornelia due to a pointless mistake, but she held the key to what really happened during the massacre.

Alligator nodded and quickly took her to his Knightmare. He was going to say something to Zero, but he refrained it, since Big Boss already did it.

"I…I don't want to believe it…." Spoke Zero, his back turned to Big Boss.

Big Boss grunted in stress. This whole incident, just happened so fast.

"It sounds like a fantasy, but it is the truth. Cornelia was really being controlled by something, or someone; she was able to tell me during my fight with her" Said Big Boss.

Zero clenched his left hand and lowered his head.

"We are going back"

Zero walked away, with Big Boss following. They both felt bittersweet, but now was not the time to feel that way, they will have to try and do whatever they can with this outcome.

…

Minutes later in the Avalon

…

Lloyd, Cecile, Suzaku and 2 Britannian medics ran to the elevator after they got a message from Ishmael, saying that he got Cornelia, but she is in critical condition and needs urgent operation.

Once they arrived to the elevator, it opened, revealing that Ishmael has already arrived.

Lloyd, Suzaku and the medics looked in shock, while Cecile had her hands covering her mouth.

Ishmael was carrying Cornelia in bridal style; she was unconscious and his clothes were covered with stains of blood.

"Take her, hurry!" Ordered Ishmael

The medics hurried as they brought the stretcher and Ishmael laid her down as delicate as possible.

Alligator would have liked to go with them, but refrained since he can't blow his cover.

The Britannian medics left, leaving Just him, Suzaku, Lloyd and Cecile.

"Suzaku, how is Euphemia?" Asked Ishmael.

Suzaku just lowered his head and had a downcast expression.

"She is in her room, but the incident shocked her so much that she refuses to see anyone"

Ishmael put his left hand on his mouth and thought about it. The situation was just getting bad with every second.

…

Mother Base, In the Command Center

…

Miller kept calling Adalhelm and Zangief, but there was no response, and it has worried Miller. What if the intruder killed them?

He looked around to see that the rest of the staff were searching and contacting the other staff members from the other struts. Apart of the ones that wouldn't respond, which are the Hangars, the soldier quarters, and the R&Ds, the rest were able to reply. There was also something jamming their signals, so they can't specify which hangar the intruders were.

Strangely, they reported nothing odd in the Mess Hall, the Support facilities, the Brigs and the Sick Bay facilities.

"Hideo! Has there been any response so far?!" Asked Miller.

"Not yet!"

"Damn it! What is happening?!" Questioned Miller.

"Miller-san! Look at this!" Suddenly called Hideo as he pointed at a security camera

Miller quickly looked at Hideo and then at the screen.

In the bridge that connects the command center to the soldier quarters, he saw Chico running to the command center, with several MSF soldiers along with the ones from the mercenary factions, which oddly enough, included Peace Mark members, and they were chasing Chico.

"What the hell?!" Said in shock Miller as he saw Chico passing through 3 MSF soldiers that were going through the bridge, and were gunned down in surprise by the chasing group.

"They just killed one of our owns!" Shouted Miller in disbelief, he also noticed that Chico's expression was of terror.

"Miller-san! Chico is almost close to the command center, what are your orders?" Asked Hideo.

Miller quickly thought. Judging by Chico's expression, something must have happened, and whatever it was, he might know what is going on.

He turned to 4 of the MSF soldiers in the room and called them.

"You four! Help Chico! If the group chasing after him proves to be dangerous, try to just knock them, we need them alive!" Ordered Miller, not wanting to kill his soldiers, despite seeing them killing 3 just now in the camera, as well as interrogate them.

"Yes, sir!" They both left in a hurry.

On the helipad, in the right side of the command center

One of the MSF helicopters that was scheduled to arrive, landed on the helipad. The door opened as 2 MSF soldiers walked out, followed by their guest, one of the core members of Peace Mark, Zi Dien.

Zi Dien is a young man originally from the Chinese Federation, he wore a purple outfit typical from the Chinese Federation, with a black vest. He wore a pair of triangular shaped glass; he has brown eyes and long hair that reaches to his neck.

"So, this is the main home of Militaire Sans Frontieres, huh?" Spoke Zi Dien with an impressed tone.

"Oh yes, the first time I joined MSF, it was breathtaking" Said one of the MSF soldiers, who is relatively young and social.

Zi Dien chuckled softly, he wasn't expecting some of them to be this friendly.

"How many times I have told you. Be professional!" Said the other MSF soldier, who is older and more disciplined.

"Come on, it's not like I'm revealing anything" Complained a little the young MSF soldier.

"So, how are the Peace Mark members? Are they behaving well?" Asked Zi Dien, it felt a little strange that Orpheus requested several soldiers from Peace Mark to go with him.

"So far, they are behaving well. Nothing bad has happen-"

*BAM!*

Suddenly there was a gunshot, causing the 2 MSF soldiers and Zi Dien to quickly look around in alarm.

"What the hell was that?!" Asked the older MSF soldier.

"I don't know, but we should take-"

"Look!"

Interrupted the older MSF soldier as he pointed to the east bridge of the command center. They saw the boy known as Chico running frantically while being chased by MSF soldiers and mercenary faction soldiers, guns blazing.

"What the?!" Said the young MSF soldier.

Chico ran as fast as he could, he was almost there, just a little bit until he could reach the doors of the command center.

*BAMBAMBAMBAMBAM!*

Gunshots were heard from behind him.

His eyes were in tears, as the fear of dying overtook his mind.

"HEY!"

Chico saw from his right side, an MSF soldier approaching.

"What is going on here?!" Demanded the MSF soldier with his gun out.

One of them replied by aiming his gun at him and shot him.

*BAM!*

"AAAH!"

The MSF soldier was injured from a gunshot on his left shoulder.

"NO!" The young MSF soldier shouted as he pointed his MX5 at them and fired.

*TRATATATATATA*

He fired at them, managing to hit some of them.

"AAAH!" 5 MSF soldiers screamed and fell on the ground, injured.

The young MSF soldier quickly ran for his fallen comrade.

Zi Dien was shocked to see this, he just arrived and this just happened.

He quickly ran behind him, only to see that more of the MSF soldiers appear and start shooting at them.

The young MSF soldier was then grabbed from behind and dragged him to a wall in order to avoid the bullets.

"Let go! I must save him!" Protested the MSF soldier.

"You won't be able to save him if you get killed!" Replied Zi Dien straight to the point. He was not going to take chances whenever there's danger.

The MSF soldier grunted in frustration, and was quickly to understand the situation.

"Pass me a gun!" Said Zi Dien as he let out his right hand.

The MSF soldier drew out his handgun and handed it to him.

Chico saw them shot another member, which caused him to get even more scared.

"Chico, duck!" Called a voice

Chico looked forward to see that 4 MSF soldiers exited from the main door, MX5 on hand.

Chico dropped to the ground, allowing the MSF soldiers to shoot at his attackers.

"AAH!" The MSF soldiers and the others fell on the ground, but thankfully they were only injured.

"Bastard!" Shouted one of the Geass users. There were 4 of them as they were behind the controlled MSF soldiers and using them as shields.

The 2 of them used their Geass and approached them.

"What the?" Muttered Zi Dien.

"What's wrong?" Asked the MSF soldier.

"I don't recognize those Peace Mark members… Who the hell are they?!" Said in shock Zi Dien.

The MSF soldier's eyes widened at it, it meant that someone infiltrated Mother Base and were causing havoc around.

"Shoot them! They are the ones responsible!" Shouted Chico.

The 4 MSF soldiers started to shoot, but what they saw was something they have never seen before.

Standing in front of them were like dead people, all wearing diverse clothes and their faces were horrendous and bloody, like zombies.

"WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS?!"

"THEY'RE LIKE ZOMBIES!"

"SHOOT!"

The MSF soldiers started to shoot at the "zombies" in panic. But what it was actually happening, was that they were shooting at nothing. This gave the opportunity for the other 2 Geass users to shoot at them and cause fatal injuries.

"AAAH!"

The 4 MSF soldiers fell on the ground, with gunshots on their abdomen.

Chico looked in fear at the MSF soldiers falling.

The 4 Geass users approached Chico, with their handguns aimed at him.

"You've caused a lot of trouble for us, you little shit" Said the Geass user #1 angrily.

"I should probably use my Geass and torture you" Said Geass user #2 with a threatening tone

"Well, not that it matters. We will just make it look like an accident" Added Geass User #1

"And besides, who is going to believe the tales of a kid like you?" Laughed the Geass user #2

"Enough already! Let's finish this before anyone finds out!" Shouted the Geass User #3

Just when the 4 were about to gun him down…

*BAM!*

One of them feel on the ground dead.

"What?!"

The other 3 fell on the ground, except one who survived. He was going to get up, but he was pinned down by a foot on his back.

"Die, you piece of shit!" Said in anger Zi Dien.

*BAM!*

The Geass user laid dead. The MSF soldier quickly called the command center.

"Commander Miller, I need help here!"

"What is it?!" Asked Miller with concern.

"There has been a gunfight between our members! A group was going to shoot the kid, Chico, for some reason! The situation has been dealt, but I've got men down! Send medics, quickly!"

"Understood!" Miller quickly dispatched 5 more MSF soldiers that were inside the command center.

At the same time, In the Main Hangar

Orpheus, Kafca and Fuangu approached to a big door that leads to the massive room storage of the AI weapons. Orpheus approached a panel on the left side of the door and inserted the codes. Once done, it opened, allowing them to see the AI's.

"Kafca, put in the virus" Ordered Orpheus.

Kafca went to the control panel located to the right side. The control panel was built and supervised by Strangelove and served as a connection to all the AI pods and it was heavily guarded with a firewall and security codes that no one would easily break.

Unfortunately, Kafca got all the information inside his head thanks to his Geass, so he would have no problem dismantle it and put the virus.

Meanwhile, in the section that holds Zeke, the 2 Geass users approached it.

"This thing is so big!" Commented the male Geass user 1

"Yeah, good thing that it won't be working after we are done with it" Said the male Geass User 2

Just when they were going to the stair that leads to the upper part of Zeke…

"STOP RIGHT THERE!"

The Geass users quickly turned their heads.

There were 10 armed MSF soldiers, and one woman standing in front, Eliza Scarlet.

"What do you think you two are doing?" Questioned Eliza sternly.

The Geass users' eyes widened a little. They forgot that Eliza is the main commander of MSF fleet, so she is in charge of everything here.

"Uh, well, were just going to see how marvelous our deterrent is!" Said the Geass user 1 in a surprised tone.

"Yeah! The machine that repelled Schneizel's forces!" Added the Geass user 2

"I see…" Eliza closed her eyes for a second, and then opened, with an angry expression.

"Do you take me for a fool?" Said Eliza.

"What do you…"

"Cut the shit!" Interrupted Eliza, she then drew out her handgun.

"I saw Orpheus and you guys entering the Hangar without permission. I don't know what happened to Commander Miller's soldiers who were giving strict orders to not allow anyone in, especially when he had NOT informed me of your arrival!" Shouted Eliza, she could see now clearly that these men were trying to do something.

"Men, contact Commander Miller, we've got intruders, and take them away!" Ordered Eliza.

"Yes, ma'am!" 4 approached them with their MX5 aimed at them.

The Geass users then smirked, causing the MSF soldiers to recoil and prepared to shoot them.

"You are in our ranges now!" Said the Geass user 1 as he activated his Geass.

"What?! AAAHH!" The 4 MSF soldiers screamed as 2 of them were like paralyzed and the other 2 turned around and aimed at Eliza and his fellow soldiers.

"What? What are you 2 doing?!" Questioned Eliza in confusion.

"It's not me! My body, I can't move!"

"Me too!"

The 2 MSF soldiers said while struggling, the Geass user 2 then raised his right hand and formed a finger gun.

Eliza was able to see it and by instinct, she acted quickly.

"Take cover!" Ordered Eliza. The MSF soldiers complied and took cover behind metallic crates that were around.

"Fire!" Said the Geass User, causing the 2 MSF soldiers shoot at them.

The Geass User 1 took out a combat knife and approached the 2 paralyzed MSF soldiers. He then stabbed them on the chest, causing a fatal wound.

The 2 fell on the ground, bleeding, but not being able to move.

The Geass User 1 and 2 then used the 2 MSF soldiers as a human shield and took out their handguns and aimed at them.

"Those bastards!" Cursed Eliza when she saw that they killed 2 of her soldiers and them used the other 2 as their shields.

Back with Orpheus and the others. They almost finished uploading the virus, but were stopped when someone appeared.

"Orpheus! What the hell are you doing?!"

They turned to see that it was Cornelio, with Gregory and 10 soldiers, 5 Forgotten Knights and 5 MSF soldiers.

Cornelio watched in shock that his supposed partner is betraying them, while Gregory and the rest have their guns out.

"Cornelio, fancy meeting you here" Said nonchalantly Orpheus as he turned to them.

"What is the meaning of this, Orpheus?" Questioned Gregory.

"What does it look like? I'm uploading the virus to the AI weapons, so they can cause havoc in Mother Base"

"What?!" Said in shock Gregory and Cornelio.

"Orpheus, we can't let you do that!" Said Cornelio as he slowly reached to his handgun.

"I beg to differ" With that, the AI weapons suddenly activated, but the AI Pods lights were switching different colors.

"AASJHDKS%$#%! %$% %HJSKFOS"

The AI weapons present, 2 Pupa, 2 Chrysalis, and a Cocoon, started to speak gibberish, indicating that they are out of control.

The Pupas then started to charge their rockets and dashed to them.

"Take cover!" Shouted Gregory as they all jumped to different directions in order to avoid the collisions.

Outside of the hangar, 5 MSF soldiers were patrolling. Suddenly they heard strange noises coming from the inside.

"Hey, did you hear that?" Asked one of them

"Yeah, it came from the inside"

*BOOM!*

Then, the walls exploded as the Pupas crashed through it.

"AAAAH!" They screamed as they fell on the ground due to the impact of the crash. Luckily, none of them were injured.

"ASKHJASKHDJKASHKDJHFKJASHLKF"

The Pupas shouted gibberish stuffs as they started to fire their guns randomly.

"Ugh, what the hell happened?" Said one of them on the ground.

"Look out!" One of the MSF soldiers jumped and rolled away with the MSF soldier on the ground almost getting shot by one of the Pupas.

"Oh man, thanks for the save" thanked the MSF soldier as he got up.

"AJSDKKHDKFKHJSKKJDKJFKJDA %%$&*$ !"

One of the Pupas aimed its shocking cannon and aimed at the MSF soldiers.

"Watch out!"

All the MSF soldiers ran and took cover when the Pupa started to shoot at them.

Back inside the hangar, Gregory, Cornelio and the MSF soldiers behind some metallics walls while exchanging bullets against Orpheus, the Geass users and a Cocoon AI weapon.

"Cornelio, call Miller! Inform him about what is happening!" Said Gregory urgently.

Cornelio tried to call Miller with his comm, but there were only statics.

"It's no use, my comm is not working!" Replied Cornelio.

Gregory then tried to use his, but the results were the same.

"Something must be jamming our communications!" Concluded Gregory as he started to fire at the AI Pod.

Outside of the soldier quarters

*BOOM!*

The walls of the left side of the bunker exploded, surprising some of the MSF soldiers walking around.

"What the?!"

"What happened?!"
A total of 30 soldiers approached the hole. Then suddenly, A figure flew out from the hole and landed on the ground, surprising in the process the soldiers.

"What is that?"

"Hey, isn't that the kid the new commander of the air force, Lioness, brought in?"

"Look at those wings!"

Akira quickly got up and noticed the soldiers.

"Get help! We are under attack!" Akira shouted.

The MSF soldiers were taken aback at the sudden statement, but they were quick to take this seriously.

All of them drew out their guns and aimed at the hole.

"Who are attacking us? Is it the Britannian empire?" Asked one of the MSF soldiers.

"No, It's Peace Mark, they-"

"HUUAAAAAAAH!"

*SLASH*

Suddenly Dafne launched from the hole and landed behind the group.

"AAAAAH!"

Everyone turned to see that inside the bunker, several MSF soldiers were dead, including soldiers from the mercenary factions.

"What the?! Our comrades…they're dead!" Said one of the MSF soldiers in shock.

The MSF soldiers then looked around in confusion, not sure on what to think.

"Everyone! Get away from the hole-!"

*TRATATATATATATATA*

"AAAAHHHH!"

7 MSF soldiers fell to the ground injured, while 5 of them fell dead.

Everyone saw that from the inside, there were more MSF soldiers, along with the other mercenary faction soldiers walking out with guns aimed at them.

"Salamander! Wolffie! What are you 2 doing?!" One of the MSF soldiers called to the mentioned MSF soldiers. They only replied by aiming at their guns at him and fire.

"Watch out!"

Akira tackled the soldier, and got shot instead.

*TRATATATATATATA!*

"AAAAHHH!"

Akira screamed in pain. He fell on the ground injured, but thankfully because of the experiment he went through, the healing factor managed to keep him alive.

"Akira!" Shouted Dafne with a concerned tone.

"You know, you two are quite good, I never expected such outstanding fighters"

Dafne turned her head to the hole to see Clara, 5 Geass users and the remaining mind-controlled MSF soldiers.

"You! You are responsible for all of this?!" One of the MSF soldiers demanded with his MX5 aimed at them.

"You bet!" Said one of the Geass users and one of his eyes appeared the Geass. The Geass user's body suddenly started to buff up and his body grew taller than an average adult.

The MSF soldier was fortunately one of those who had seen the unnatural events that happened during the Peace Walker incident.

The Geass user who became like a giant buffed up man, sprinted forward.

The MSF soldier then shot him with the MX5

*TRATATATATATATATATA*

But despite the efficiency of the MX5, the bullets didn't pierce the body of the Geass user, and it simply fell to the ground.

"What?!" Said in shock the MSF soldier. He quickly jumped to his right to dodge the attack.

The remaining MSF soldiers presents decided to attack the Geass user. But it was futile as the bullets barely grazed his skin.

"It's not working!"

"Watch out!"

The Geass user was close to them and with a swift of his left arm, the MSF soldiers were sent flying.

"AAAAAAAHH!"

Some of them fell off the platform, while others landed almost to the edge.

"NO!" Akira yelled as he opened his wings and dived down to save the soldiers.

He saw at least 4 of them falling, so he quickly went to the closest soldier. He caught one with his left hand by the left shoulder and carried the soldier with his left arm. He went to the next soldier and did the same thing with his right hand. But now he was facing a problem, he had no more room to carry more.

But then, one of the soldiers was quickly to give him a suggestion.

"Kid! Go for them! We will catch them!" Suggested one of the MSF soldiers. Akira was surprised a bit for not having thought about that, but dismissed it since there was no time to waste.

He quickly flew to the other 2 MSF soldiers, the MSF soldier in his right arm extended his hands and caught the MSF soldier that was falling from Akira's right side. And lastly with the other, he flew and luckily, the MSF soldier in his left arm managed to catch the MSF soldier.

"Thank you, kid. But…" Spoke one of the MSF soldiers in a sad tone as he looked down to the ocean.

Akira looked down and his mouth was agape at what he saw. There were more soldiers down there, like 10 or more, but they were only floating on the sea. Akira closed his eyes while some tears fell down from his eyes. He may not have known those soldiers personally, but he knows from Chico that 80 percent of them are good people and wouldn't resort to killing.

Once Akira flew back to the platform, they could see the battle was intensifying.

A group of MSF soldiers were fighting against the monstrosity that is the Geass user, while the others were fighting off with the mind-controlled soldiers.

Dafne was on the back of the Geass user while stabbing his back with her claws.

"UUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Roared Dafne as she kept stabbing.

The Geass user only groaned in annoyance. He twisted his right hand to his back to grab her from the back and then tossed her to one of the barracks walls.

"Dafne!" Akira shouted. Then his face turned into anger as his body started to slightly transform. His face started to have like lines of black marking, his body grew a bit, his hair stood up and it looked like 2 horns.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Screamed Akira furiously as he charged at the Geass user.

The Geass user turned his body, only to receive a devastating punch from Akira in his recent "Devil" transformation.

"AAAAAH!" The Geass user clashed against a wall. Akira then pounced at the Geass user and started to punch him in a fit of rage.

"You will pay for the lives of those good soldiers!" Roared Akira as he started to deliver a series of rush attacks with his fists.

"Ugh! What the hell is he?!" Thought in shock the Geass user while trying hard to protect from the attacks.

This Geass user has the power to increment his body and endurance for a period of time, thanks to the adrenaline that his brain channels. In the Geass Order they modified his Geass to make the duration longer and remove the limit of the Geass. But it backfired, he can get very strong, but the longer he remains, the body starts to destroy itself because of trying to surpass its limits.

Akira kept punching the Geass user, until he noticed that the Geass users muscles were starting to deteriorate. He decided to press his attacks as he thought that maybe that was his weakness, on not being able to sustain so much damage.

"This is bad! I can't..!" Thought in alarm the Geass user. He then used his left hand and with all his strength, he punched Akira.

'AAAH!" Akira landed on the ground as the Geass user stood up.

"I…must…!" Groaned the Geass user while trying to maintain his body.

*TRATATATATATA!*

Bullets started to hit him behind. He turned his head to see that several MSF soldiers were shooting at him.

"Quickly! Bring him down!" Shouted one of the MSF soldiers.

One of them brought an RPG and another used the Kampfpistole.

*BOOM!*

The Geass user blocked the explosions, but caused him to move some inches behind.

"If I'm going to die, they I'm taking all of you with me!" Said the Geass user as he started to use his full power and charged.

*STAB!*

But then he stopped when a small figure stabbed his abdomen. It was Dafne, having recovered from her injuries.

"Muere, bastardo!" (Die, bastard!") Said Dafne with venom in Spanish.

"Ugh!"

The Geass user reached it's point and his muscles was now was destroyed.

*THUD!*

He fell to the ground now dead.

Akira recovered as he approached Dafne, as well as the soldiers.

"Good job, kid" One of the soldiers congratulated her.

"Thank you" Thanked Dafne.

"Guys!"

Everyone turned to see that the other MSF soldiers arrived.

"Good to see you guys ok!"

"You too, what happened to our mind-controlled friends?" Asked one of them In hope that they haven't been killed.

"They're fine, we managed to neutralize them with tranquilizers" Said the MSF soldier, much to their relief.

"Wait!" Suddenly said Akira, catching their attentions.

"Where are those Peace Mark members?!" Asked Akira.

"They got away; they used our friends as a distraction!" Said another MSF soldier.

"Did you guys see where they went? We have to stop them!" Said one of the MSF soldiers.

"Yes, we did! They went through that bridge! It goes to the main R&D strut!"

"Then we must go! The R&D labs contains many of MSF's tops secret weapons! We must stop them!" Said one of the MSF soldiers.

With that, Dafne, Akira and a total of 15 MSF soldiers chased the Geass users, while the other group os MSF soldiers, consisted of 20 members, stayed behind to take care of the wounded and the neutralized ones.

Back in the command center

"Chico! What the hell happened? Why were they chasing you?" Miller asked Chico quickly.

After several minutes since Chico, Zi Dien and the injured soldiers arrived. Miller cut to the chase and asked Chico about this strange incident.

The injured MSF soldiers were being treated while Zi Dien sat on a chair with the other MSF staff members.

Chico told him from the beginning: the mess hall with the other kids, Dafne feeling something strange with a group of MSF soldiers, reaching to the bunker, soldiers acting brainless, the Peace Mark members being the ones responsible, getting almost caught and Dafne ordering Chico to go to the command center.

Miller took several seconds to process everything Chico told him. It sounded absurd, but so it was when back on earth they took pictures of ghost and Isla del Monstruo.

"So, the ones responsible are Peace Mark?" Miller then glared at Zi Dien, whom he noticed Miller glaring at him.

"If I may, I need to clarify that those aren't my soldiers" Clarified Zi Dien.

"Really?" Said Miller with an unconvinced tone.

"I know every member whom I work with, and I am certain that those soldiers down there are in no way Peace Mark members"

"I think he speak the truth, commander Miller" Said the MSF soldier that was with Zi Dien.

"How do we know this is not a trick?" Questioned Miller.

"When Chico was being attacked, we helped him and Zi Dien took this time to finish off one of the Peace Mark members himself. If he wanted to kill us, he wouldn't had shot his comrade and we would be already dead" Said the MSF soldier.

Everyone in the room thought about it for a second. It kinda made sense. If Zi Dien was part of it, he could have just joined them and attacked the command center, and whatever Peace Mark has done with his soldiers, it would have made this whole thing easier.

Miller sighed as he spoke.

"I'll trust you for now. Right now i-"

"Miller-san! One of our soldiers just contacted us. You may want to hear this!" Suddenly said Hideo as he passed him the comm.

"What?" Said Miller in surprise since they weren't able to contact with anyone so far.

He quickly activated his comm and spoke.

"Hello? What's the situation?"

"Commander Miller? Thank god that we were able to reach you! We are being attacked by one of our owns!"

"I know! We have just managed to save Chico from them" Replied Miller.

"He did? That's good news! We also wanted to inform that the kids, Dafne and Akira, said that the Peace Mark members are not the real ones! They are imposters!"

"What? Are you certain?!" Asked Miller.

"Affirmative, sir!"

Miller looked at Zi Dien for a second and then went back to it.

"Alright, is there something else important?"

"Yes, there is one! The imposters are on their way to the R&D labs! We are on their pursuit and the kids are with us!"

"OK! Do whatever you can to stop them! And if you can, try to find out if Zangief and Adalhelm are alright. We lost contact to them an hour ago!"

"Understood, sir!"

Miller then turned to Zi Dien.

"Looks like you are right after all" Spoke Miller surprising Zi Dien.

"What happened?" Asked Chico.

"Your friends managed to stopped them before they could get away. Now they are on route to the R&D" informed Miller.

"What? Then I must go!" Chico stood up and was about to go out, but Miller stopped him.

"Wait Chico! You can't go!"

"Why not?! My friends are fighting! I can't just sit here and do nothing!"

"I understand but-"

"Miller-san! There's a call from the Mess hall! It's urgent!" Suddenly spoke Hideo.

"What?" Miller quickly hurried to Hideo and picked the radio.

"Hello! What is it?!

"Commander Miller! We need help here! Theres-!"

*Static*

The communication was cut off as there is only static.

Miller quickly turned to Hideo.

"Hideo! Put on the cameras of the Mess Hall!"

Hideo quickly turned one of the channels from the server and showed on a screen the video feed of the Mess Hall. Everyone turned to the video to see what was happening.

But what they saw on the camera, was something out of a horror movie.

"What the hell?!" Said in fear Miller.

The camera showed MSF soldiers killing each other like savages.

In the Mess Hall

"AAAHHHH!"

The hall became a slaughtering house as the soldiers in there started to shoot, stab and beat each other uncontrollably.

Yang, Lightning, David Hayter, Akio Ohtsuka, Mosquito and small handful of MSF soldiers were hidden and could only watch in horror the chaos.

There were 100 MSF soldiers, both old and new members, were killing each other, and it all happened when 2 Peace Mark members arrived with some MSF soldiers and then hell broke loose.

First the MSF soldiers started to shoot everyone in the hall, next the rest started to behave erratically and then gone berserk on everyone.

Yang and the rest were lucky enough to see this happen in time and took cover under the tables before they could get hurt.

The reason they weren't helping stop this mess was because 2 of the old MSF members, Brian and the Bald Guy, tried to stop the fight, but…

"Hey man! Stop this!" Shouted Brian as he tried to take away the gun from one of his fellow MSF soldiers.

*BAM!*

Brian looked down to see that on his chest a bullet went in.

"Brian!" The Bald Guy quickly rushed, but then a random MSF started to beat him with a rifle and then started to pound him with it.

Yang, Lightning, David, Akio and Mosquito were stunned and shocked to see them getting brutally murdered.

"T-This… is horrible!" Muttered Yang, having never seen an irrational massacre such as this.

Lightning quickly held Yang's shoulder and have her look to her face.

"Yang, stay focused!" Said Lightning sternly. Yang woke up from her shock and nodded softly.

Lightning nodded back and then turned her sight to Mosquito.

"We have to get out of here!" Whispered Lightning to Mosquito. His face hardened and then nodded at her.

"There is a way we can get out of here, one that only few knows about it." Said Mosquito to them. He turned his eyes to the kitchen of the Mess Hall and pointed at it.

"There is a hidden emergency exit in the kitchen. The reason is hidden is in case we are surrounded by enemies. Considering that this is caused by a group, there's a guarantee that there are more outside waiting to ambush us" Explained Mosquito.

"Understood" Nodded Lightning.

"Wait" Said Akio stopping everyone.

"There are too many out there. They may start to attack us"

"He is right" Added David.

"What do you suggest?" Asked Yang now out of her shock.

"We use the tables to take cover while we reach to the kitchen. This way we can go without being detected" Suggested David.

"That doesn't sound like a bad idea. As long as we don't get caught" Said Yang.

"Let's go then, there is no time to waste" Said Mosquito. He was then the first one to go to one of the knocked tables. He peeked and saw that no one saw them so he quickly motioned the rest to come.

Mosquito peeked again to see the state of the situation. In front of him there were 2 MSF soldiers kicking and stepping on an injured soldier. He closed his eyes and groaned in anger on not being able to help the poor man.

Mosquito motioned everyone to go to the next table.

Once they reached, the kitchen was just up ahead. But there was a problem, there were many soldiers ahead and there was no other way to distract them without raising alarm.

Mosquito then saw a can under his foot. He took it and saw a way to distract them.

"Everyone listen" Called Mosquito gaining their attention.

"I'm going to throw this can to draw their attention. Once they are away, run as fast as you can" Explained Mosquito, which everyone agreed with a nod.

Mosquito then tossed the can to the other side and hit a MSF soldier. This caused a chain of reaction; the MSF soldier ran to an MSF soldier close to the kitchen's doors and as he tackled him, they clashed against another. Thus, a brawl happened between them.

"GO! " Said Mosquito. They all ran and entered the kitchen; Mosquito was the last to enter and fortunately no one saw them.

"My god, that was so close!" Yang sighed in relief.

Mosquito sat on the ground for a moment to catch his breath.

"Yeah, we better get going-"

"Eep!"

Everyone heard a yelp and they turned their head to see that behind one of the kitchens counter, was Cecile.

"Cecile? What are you doing here?" Asked Mosquito incredulously.

"I-I was going to get out, but when people started to kill each other, I panicked and hid behind here" Said Cecile with a fearful tone.

"Never mind that, let's get out of here before-"

"Ugh, Mosquito" Suddenly said Yang in fear.

Everyone turned to Yang to see that the main door was now being slammed.

"If we are getting out, you'd better hurry! Otherwise we'll gonna be shish kebabs for our zombie friends!"

In the R&D lab

Adalhelm was slowly regaining conscious after the Geass user used her powers.

"What is taking so long?"
"This stupid door won't budge!"

"Why didn't you used of the guys before making them all feel asleep?!"

"Well sorry that I don't possess that Geass power!"

"Enough! We don't have time!"

Adalhelm heard the voices of the attackers as he tried to adjust his vision. He raised his head a little to see that the Peace Mark members were standing in front of one of the vaults of the R&D labs which contains many blue prints and projects of MSF.

"So, these guys are trying to steal from us, huh? Not on my watch!" Thought Adalhelm as he continued to lay down and wait for the perfect moment to strike.

Suddenly he heard a hiss from the main door and heard footsteps, he saw that it was another group of Peace Mark but with MSF soldiers and to his shock, Forgotten Knight members and Werewolf corp members

"What the? Why are our soldiers with them?!" Thought Adalhelm in shock. He considered that they were betraying MSF, but he discarded it since they were all checked and none of them showed any sign of betrayal and also the fact that they all looked brain dead.

"What are you doing? I told you that I wanted their top secrets packed and ready to go!" Said almost angrily Clara.

"Sorry, but we were unable to open it! It has like a lock that only opens with authorized members" Said one of the Geass users.

"Which we could have it opened now, if she hadn't made them all fall asleep!" Protested a male Geass user to the female one.

Clara sighed in annoyance.

"Enough already. Luckily I was able to get one of the scientists on my way here" Said Clara as she motioned a controlled MSF scientist to open the vault.

The MSF scientist walked to the panel and inserted the security codes.

"Access granted"

With that, the vault opened.

"Finally! Now let's get what we've come for" Said one of the Geass users.

"Guess we won't need this guy" The male Geass user then approached the MSF scientist and shot him in the dead.

Adalhelm could only look in shock and fury at seeing one of the MSF members get killed.

"Let's get to work!"

The Geass users then started to get any devices they could find. The blue prints were being downloaded through an USB device, as well as any data in regard to Metal Gear Zeke.

One of the Geass users noticed a project that caught his attention.

"Wormhole Fulton?" Muttered the Geass user. From the sound of it, it looked interesting.

Adalhelm slowly reached to his pistol in his holster and prepared to aim at Clara.

*BAM!*

Adalhelm shot at Clara, but the bullet never impacted her. Instead it impacted against an MSF soldier who protected her.

The Geass users were then alerted as they turned to the source of the shooting.

"No…" Said in shock Adalhelm.

"Looks like someone is awake" Said Clara as she turned around.

"I'll make you pay for what you have done to those loyal soldiers!" Said angrily Adalhelm as he stood up.

"Me? I'm not the one who killed them, you are" Mocked Clara.

Adalhelm gritted his teeth in anger.

"Boys, kill him" Ordered Clara.

The controlled soldiers aimed their weapons and prepared to fire.

"Shit!" Adalhelm cursed as he quickly ran and jumped behind a knocked down table.

The soldiers continued their shooting, not giving Adalhelm a opportunity to retaliate.

"Hurry up with the datas! We don't have much time!" Shouted Clara.

Adalhelm was still behind the cover while the bullets rained around him.

"Damn it! If this keeps up, I will not be able to stop them!"

"HURAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Suddenly someone shouted and charged at the soldiers. It was Zangief who was now awake.

They were going to shoot at him, but Zangief had his arms spread and with the speed, he tackled and knocked down the soldiers.

"Zangief! You are alright!" Said Adalhelm happily from behind.

Zangief turned his head and raised his right hand to make a thumb up.

"Of course comrade! It will take more than a sleeping pill to knock me out!" Zangief then turned his head to the enemy.

Suddenly the main door opened, revealing to be MSF soldiers, along with Dafne and Akira.

"Boys! I'm so glad to see you here!" Said Zangief with a happy tone.

"Good to see you 2 are well! Now, lets focus on getting these imposters out of our house!" The MSF soldiers readied their weapons at the Geass users while Dafne took out her claws and Akira in his mid-transformation.

"Surrender now!" Shouted Adalhelm.

Clara and the Geass users were cornered now that the MSF soldiers they had in control are knocked out. But Clara, instead of showing a concerned expression, she just smirked.

"I don't think so, we are just getting started" Clara then activated her Geass.

"Watch out! She has a power that can control people!" Warned Akira having seen that she is responsible for having so many soldiers fall under her control.

"Zangief, do me a favor and dispose of them" Said Clara.

Zangief then felt his will suddenly suppressed his mind was now blank.

"As you wish, mistress!"

Zangief then started to attack them.

"No, Zangief!" Shouted Akira in horror at failing to prevent this.

"Look out!" The MSF soldiers then quickly dodged Zangiefs rampage.

"HUUUAAAH!" Zangief roared as he started to smash around.

"Clara!"

Clara turned around to see one of the Geass users holding something in his hand, a small device that looks like a projector.

"What is this?"

"I'm not sure yet, but it was called "Wormhole fulton" for some reason" The Geass user then smiled evilly.

"How about I test it?"

Clara let out a humorous laugh "Knock yourself out"

Chico arrived just in time to the R&D lab to see the battle. He was shocked to see Zangief trying to kill the MSF soldiers and Adalhelm. Thankfully no one perished yet.

Then he saw from outside the vault Akira and Dafne. He quickly went inside to help them.

Dafne and Akira entered the vault in time to see Clara and the 10 Geass users.

"You! I'll make you pay!" Said Dafne in anger.

"Oh, you want to kill me? Well go ahead, I'm right here" Taunted Clara.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Dafne yelled as she charged at them.

"Wait Dafne!" Akira tried to stop her.

The Geass user with the projector stood in front of her and activated it.

*FWOM!*

A wormhole appeared and started to suck whatever was In front of it.

Dafne eyes widened in horror at the wormhole. She was about to get sucked into it, but she stopped as she stabbed her claws on the ground.

"Dafne!"

Akira, Dafne, Clara and the geass users looked to the entrance to see that it was Chico.

"Chico! Stay back! They have a device in their hands that is causing this wormhole!" Warned Akira.

"Damn this thing!" Cursed the Geass user, but due to his stupidity, he kept hitting the device with his hand, which caused it to malfunction.

"Stop what you are doing! You are going to kill us too!" Shouted Clara.

Chico and Akira were starting to get sucked into it too. Chico held onto the door while Akira punched the ground.

Dafne's claw started to slip due to the force of the wormhole.

Until she finally lost her grip and she was sucked to the wormhole.

"Akira, Chico!" Screamed Dafne as she was being sucked to the wormhole.

"DAFNE!" Shouted Akira in horror. He retracted his fist and was about to grab her, but the portal closed before he could catch her.

"No…NOOOOOOOOO!" Shouted Akira in sadness.

"Whew, that was close! It could have been worse" Said the Geass user in relief.

But when Akira heard it. Something inside him snapped and he turned his sight to him.

Clara and the Geass users looked in terror at Akira's face. His human face almost looked unrecognizable and it looked like a devil.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" Roared Akira as his eyes seemed to glow and he shouted…

"DEVIL….BEEAAMMM!"

Laser like projectiles was shot from his eyes and was hit 4 Geass users in a span of 1 second.

Clara and the others looked in shock that the laser went so fast that killed 4 of them.

The projector fell on the ground and it caused to malfunction and open the wormhole again.

Chico lost his grip this time when the portal opened again. Clara and the Geass Users held on to the walls so they wouldn't get sucked.

Akira breathed in and out like an animal and was not paying attention to his surroundings.

"Akira! Akira! Snap out of it!" Screamed Chico.

It seemed to work, as Akira was starting to come to his senses.

"AKIRAAAA!" Screamed Chico as he started to get sucked into the wormhole.

"No! NOT AGAIN!" Shouted Akira as opened his wings and flew straight to Chico.

Akira managed to grab Chico's arm, but the wormholes strength was too strong and it ended up consuming both.

"Somebody shut that thing!" Shouted Clara.

One of the Geass users went to the projector and after pressing several buttons, it managed to close the wormhole.

Now no one would know where Chico, Akira and Dafne went through the wormhole as it could be anywhere.

Meanwhile in the Avalon

Alligator was sitting on one of the sits outside of the operation room where the medics and surgeon were tending Cornelia's wound. At this moment, he was trying to think on what to do. There would surely be a rebellion, with Zero on the lead and Big Boss will have to follow him since he is still under his contract.

While Cornelia was under surgery, he tried to approach Euphy and talk to her. But he was unable to reach her. As Suzaku said, Euphy was refusing to see anyone, and everyone was concerned on her well-being.

Suzaku was also absent, saying that he needed to be alone for a moment.

Alligator couldn't help but let out a sigh at this mess.

After hours of medical operation, the surgeons, nurses and 3 Britannian officers walked out from the operation room with a downcast look.

Alligator saw them exit, so he approached them.

"How is Cornelia? is she alright?" Asked Alligator.

The main medic approached him with an unsecure face.

"We managed to remove the bullet, but for some reason, her heart beat is slowing by every min. We tried everything to find out the reason, but we found nothing. She… is dying" Informed the medic with a sad tone.

"What?" Said Alligator in sadness and disbelief.

"I'm sorry" Said the medic, feeling guilty on not being able to save the princess.

"Can I see her?"

"Yeah, but she doesn't have much time"

Alligator nodded softly. They made way for him to enter, allowing him to enter the room.

"I'll... contact with prince Schneizel, then. Excuse me" Said the medic somberly as he walked away.

Inside the room, Alligator walked to the medical bed of Cornelia, a white blanket was covering her body, with a breathing mask on her mouth. Next to the bed stood Lloyd and Cecil, both looking at her with sadness.

"Lloyd…Cecile" Called Alligator.

"Ishamel" said Cecil, but then she looked down, still saddened that Cornelia was about to die.

Lloyd was going to say something, but nothing came out, he simply didn't know what to say.

Alligator then looked at Cornelia, still breathing through the mask. Alligator face hardened, he was still feeling angry at what happened earlier with Zero shooting her from the back.

"Huh"

Alligator blinked as he focused on her face, she was slowly awakening as her eyes were opening.

"You…are" Started Cornelia with a weak tone.

Cecil, approached the breath mask control panel, she pressed a button that allowed the mask to retract and allowing her to speak clearly.

Cecil stepped back, then she started to walk to the exit, while also motioning Lloyd to exit as well, feeling that Cornelia would like to speak with Ishmael alone.

"You…are…one…of…Euphy's" Said Cornelia again, weakly and bit incoherent.

"Yes, your highness" Replied Alligator, he then sat down on a chair that was in front of the bed.

"What…happened?" Asked Cornelia while softly breathing.

Alligator looked down and his facial expression turned to sadness, not feeling sure if he should tell her that Zero shoot her.

"You…."Alligator tried to say something, nothing came out.

"I…remember…. Big Boss…helping me...then… a gunshot…Was…I…?" Continued Cornelia.

She got her answer, when Alligator nodded slowly.

"I…see…" Cornelia turned her sight to the ceiling and closed her eyes.

"I guess…. I deserved it" Said Cornelia with a guilty tone.

Alligator then looked in surprise. He saw that tears fell from Cornelia's closed eyes.

"I…should have…fought…back…but… I…ended up…hurting…Euphy" Cornelia spoke with a sobbing tone.

"Cornelia, it wasn't your fault" Said Alligator. Cornelia then turned her sight to him.

"Big Boss told me everything"

"He…did?" Said Cornelia with a slight surprised tone.

"Yes. You were under some sort of mind control and he managed to break it" Said Alligator.

"But…how?" Asked Cornelia, wondering how he can believe such fictional statement.

The scene then changes to the stadium. The dead bodies were all removed and it was now filled with Japanese people and tons of Knightmares. Everyone started to cheer when Zero appeared in the stage, with the House of Kyoto , Ohgi and Big Boss behind him.

"People of Japan!" Zero spoke as he spread his left hand.

"All people who are oppressed by Britannia! I have waited! While I have fought their injustice from the shadows, I have waited for them to come to their sense on their own. But now our aspirations have been betrayed! With an act of barbarism that can only be called a massacre!"

Alligator seems to know what Cornelia was implying with that. But he decided to dismiss it and go straight to what is important.

"Cornelia, you were going to tell Big Boss the culprit. Tell me, who was it?" Asked Alligator, hoping to finish what Big Boss couldn't.

Cornelia looked down, not feeling sure if she should tell him.

"Damn you, Cornelia!"

"Murderer!"

"Witch!"

The Japanese cursed to Cornelia in the stadium.

"That's right! Cornelia is the symbol of Britannia's traitorous nature! A murderer who used her sister's ideals for her own goals!" Continued Zero.

Alligator knew what she was doing. He couldn't blame her though, he never spoke with her and both have never been that close, so she would have to take a risk of telling it to a stranger.

"I know that we have never met before, and we are not as close as friends. But I want to let you know, I would defend and protect Euphemia from those who wants to harm her. I want to help and make her dreams become true, and after everything that has happened now, I want to make the ones responsible pay for this outrageous crime" Said Alligator. It may have been a lie half of what he said, for he is no knight or hero, he is a soldier of Outer Heaven, and Big Boss best soldier. But he was certain that if done right, Big Boss and himself would go and search the ones responsible.

"Here and now, I declare our independence from Britannia! But don't take this to mean the resurrection of the old nation of Japan! I won't make of trying to wind back the clock of history! The new japan we will now build… Shall be one broad enough to accept all peoples, histories and ideologies! A proud nation where the strong shall not oppress the weak! It shall be called… The United States of Japan!" Proclaimed Zero as he spread his arms

Big Boss grimaced. He felt no joy on what it would be this world's United States Declaration of Independence. All of this, it sickened him. Everything that Zero said was based on a lie, on an innocent woman who was controlled unwillingly. This was similar to what he felt when EVA told him that The Boss death was a set up by the US government.

Cornelia looked at his eyes and couldn't help but feel a sort of admiration. He was like those knights from fairy tales she heard when she was a little girl. She remembered how much she used to admire those knights who would risk their lives to save their kingdoms or their princess from evil.

And now, sitting next to her, was a knight and a soldier.

Cornelia closed her eyes for a moment, it took several seconds for her to finally speak.

"My father… The Emperor"

"The Emperor?" Said Alligator in surprise

Cornelia nodded.

Alligator face hardened as he spoke.

"You have my word, your highness. The emperor won't get away with this"

Cornelia let out a smile. Normally she wouldn't get happy or trust anyone, except Euphy. Maybe she was getting delirious due to how weak she was starting to feel, or she was trying to make up for the mess she indirectly caused.

Cornelia then raised her left hand and grabbed Alligator's right wrist.

Alligator then looked in surprise at the sudden action.

"I…have…one…request" Said Cornelia, sounding weaker than before.

Alligator's expression formed into sadness; he knows what it was going to happen.

"What is it?"

Then, he noticed that Cornelia had more tears coming out from her eyes.

"Please…protect…my…sister…my…Euphy…" Requested Cornelia.

"I will, you have my word" Alligator nodded firmly.

Cornelia looked gratefully at him. Slowly, her eyes started to close.

"Thank…you…." She then closed her eyes.

"Cornelia…" Said Alligator sadly.

*BEEEEEEEEEEEEP*

The monitor showed that Cornelia's heart stopped.

"ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO! ZERO!"

As the public chanted Zero's name. Medics rushed to Cornelia's side. Alligator was outside of the room, in the hallway.

In another part of the Avalon, Guilford and Darlton were inside the empty war conference room. Their expressions were of disbelief on the news they received from the medic who oversaw Cornelia's operation.

Big Boss was looking to the ground, his left hand formed into a fist and clenched hard at the deception that Zero forged. At the same time, Alligator did the same thing, his right fist also clenching. Then he said…

"Forgive me"

1 hour later, dawn time

After Zero entered a room of one of the main buildings of the stadium with C.C. The Black Knights started to arm themselves to begin their rebellion against Britannia. Masses of Japanese joined, as well as remnants of the Japanese terrorists and any other people who suffered in the hands of Britannia.

As for MSF, they brought all their remaining forces, as well as another set of soldiers they requested a few hours ago before the massacre.

So, the forces that MSF have are: Big Boss, Ocelot and 20 MSF soldiers. For the reinforcements: Kane, Amanda, Lioness, Liz, 30 MSF soldiers, the Ocelot units, which consist of 50 members, Hotel Team and Golf Team.

Kane was asked by Big Boss to come to Japan and help him since Kane is one of his best fighters and soldiers.

Amanda wanted to come too, her reason was that she wants to help the Japanese attain their own freedom, even if it's through peace.

Lioness and Liz came along to not just provide air support, but to also help the Black Knights and the Japanese to get their freedom too.

Currently, Big Boss was inside of one the buildings, in the basement which is used as the armory, and he was preparing his weapons. He tried to ease his mind and focus to the battle that is about to come.

"John"

Big Boss turned his head to the entrance to see that it was Ocelot.

"Adam"

Big Boss then refocused on his weapons.

"What is it?" Asked Ocelot as he approached him, having a feeling that something happened with Big Boss.

Big Boss let out a sigh as he looked down.

"This is whole incident…" Said Big Boss

Ocelot frowned a bit, knowing that Big Boss must be referring to the massacre.

"It was indeed tragic. Everything turned out to be a set up by Britannia…"

"It's not that" Interrupted Big Boss.

"What do you mean?" Asked Ocelot.

"When Zero said that Cornelia plotted the massacre, it was a lie"

"A lie?" Said Ocelot in surprise.

Big Boss then put the gun on the table and turned his gaze at Ocelot. Big Boss then decided to tell him everything. He knows that Ocelot wouldn't tell anyone about this since his loyalty to him is unquestionable.

Ocelot processed everything Big Boss told him, and it was worrying news. Could it be that Cornelia was placed under some form of hypnosis? Or could there be some kind of supernatural power going around?

"So, in order to keep this from getting out of control, Zero fabricated a story to fool the people, while hiding the truth" Said Ocelot while thinking about it.

"Not only that, but we are also facing a serious problem" Added Big Boss.

"Did something else happen?" Asked Ocelot.

"Our client and main source of contact to return home, Veg…is dead"

"What?!" Whispered Ocelot in shock.

"He was shot in the head by Cornelia"

Ocelot thought about it. This was dire news, without him, how are they going to return to their world? And there was no one else, except him, who knew about MSF true nature.

Ocelot let out a sigh, now understanding why Big Boss was feeling stressed.

"I honestly, don't know what to do at this point" Said Ocelot with a sad tone. He never felt this hopeless before, he always had something in his sleeves, but in this occasion, there was nothing out there that could help them understand why they were transported to this world, for what purpose? And now without Veg, they may get stuck here forever.

Big Boss withdrew his gun and turned to Ocelot.

"Still, we must keep going" Said Big Boss. If there was no other way to return to their world and have to live in this one forever, then so be it.

Big Boss walked out from the armory with Ocelot following him. His face formed into determination and he will try to do anything he can to find a way back home.

Once they got out, they met with all MSF forces in a conference type of room. There was a large rectangular table with 20 placed sits. Many of them stood while the rest decided to take a sit. Kane was leaning against the wall, Amanda was speaking with some of the MSF soldiers and Shira and Liz were sitting on one of the chairs.

Once they saw Big Boss enter, they all straightened themselves and greeted him.

"Big Boss!" They all saluted him.

Big Boss nodded at them, then he stood in front of the table and spoke.

"Listen up! The Black Knight's rebellion against Britannia will start soon, so our job will be to ensure that the rebellion is a success"

Big Boss then motioned Ocelot to show the map of the viceroy palace.

"For this mission, we will have our forces split in 3. The first one is the main force with the Black Knights and their rebels. Ocelot and I will be the ones with the Black Knights, along with 30 MSF soldiers and the Ocelot Units. The second will be the support team: Kane and 20 MSF soldiers will scout around and pass on the intel they get. And lastly the stealth team will be Amanda, Shira, Liz, Hotel Team and Golf Team. I will brief the stealth team once the support team scouted the designated area." Explained Big Boss.

"Yes, sir!"

With that, they were prepared to help the Black Rebellion…

Moments later, outside of a former Britannian G-1 Base, now serving as the Black Knights Mobile Base

"This is Toyama Squad. There are 23 of us. We'll link up with you!"
"Roger that. Do you have any weaponry?"

"We've got explosives from Gokayama, but we lack transports. Can some of us ride on your transports?"

"The only empty transports we have are freight trains. Will that be okay?"

An army of soldiers, vehicles, tanks and Knightmares were following the Black Knights Mobile Base to attack the Tokyo Settlement and every time they approach, they were gaining more supports from any group who are against Britannia.

Behind the balcony of the G-1 Base stood, Minami, Tamaki, Sugiyama, Yoshida, Inou and Kallen, all looking at the massive army.

"The groups from Yamanashi have linked up with us, too!" Said Tamaki in amazement.

"We've also gotten words from survivors of the Samurai Blood group" Added Minami with satisfaction.

"Our numbers are becoming huge now!" Commented Yoshida.

"And we've got Big Boss and his soldiers with us, we are invincible!" Said Sugiyama excitingly.

They all looked pleased, except Kallen, who was leaning on the bannister with a sad expression.

"I hope the student council members got away" Thought Kallen in worry. But that wasn't what it was bugging her and it happened several minutes ago…with Big Boss.

Flashback

Kallen was walking through the hall to meet up with the others in the balcony. While on her way, she came across with Big Boss and Ocelot. She let out a smile as she went to greet him.

"Oh! Big B- "Kallen stopped as she saw Big Boss face. Normally he has a neutral expression, but right now he looked…absent and almost unhappy.

"Oh, Kallen. Sorry I didn't notice you" Said Big Boss

"What is it, Big Boss?" Asked Kallen in concern.

Big Boss sighed.

"It's nothing… Just feeling tired" Reassured Big Boss.

"Are you sure?" Asked Kallen.

"Yeah, thank you. If you excuse me, I need to go meet Zero" Said Big Boss as he continued his path.

Kallen could only look at him walk past her while not feeling convinced that he was feeling well.

"Forgive Big Boss, Kallen. Something just happened and he simply needs some time" Said Ocelot.

"Ocelot-san, what happened?" Asked Kallen as she turned her sight to him.

"Sorry, but not now. There's a revolution going around and I'm sure that Zero wants you focused" Said Ocelot.

Kallen frowned as hung her head down feeling that she wants to help, but she knows that Ocelot was right, she needs to stay focused.

Ocelot walked next to her and put his left hand on her shoulder in a reassuring way.

"Don't worry, it's not about you and Big Boss is not someone who can easily get angry" Said Ocelot with a comforting smile.

Kallen raised her head after that. She smiled a little and nodded.

"Thank you, Ocelot-san"

Ashford Academy

In the student council, which are Rivalz, Nunally, Shirley and Strangelove, were watching the news about the current situation of the Black Rebellion. Rivalz was sitting on the couch, Shirley standing behind Nunnally and Strangelove standing next to the girls.

"As the insurgents draw closer, security in the ghettos continues to worsen. The government is asking all the citizens to remain in their homes until further notice" The news informed.

The students looked in worry at the news, while Strangelove was in her thoughts about the situation.

"Looks like the time has come" Thought Strangelove, referring that their cover might be revealed once the Black Knights reaches to the academy.

"Do you think the fighting will come here too?" Asked Nunnally to Rivalz

"N-No way! I'm sure that the military has their forces stationed here. T-There's no way!" Said Rivalz with a hopeful tone.

"You think so?" Said Shirley sadly.

"Don't sound like that, will you?! You're scaring me!" replied Rivalz.

"Nunnally, isn't Lelouch home yet?" Asked Rivalz

"Lelouch?" wondered Shirley.

"Is something wrong?" asked Nunnally.

"Oh, it's nothing"

"Come on, can't you make up and go back to calling him Lulu?" Asked Rivalz.

"Lulu? I called him that?" Questioned Shirley.

"There you go again" Said Rivalz slightly annoyed.

Strangelove gazed at her in wonder. Something was strange.

"Say teach, don't you need to be with the rest of the teachers?" Asked Rivalz.

Strangelove then turned her gaze to Rivalz.

"I don't think I can. The director has given us directives on keeping the students safe. So each of us are split to take care of the students." Explained Strangelove

"Besides…" She then approached Rivalz and patted his head, making him blush a little.

"I wouldn't like to see my favorite students getting hurt, would I?" Said Strangelove with a small smile. During her time in the academy, she was infatuated with the female students and some of the teachers. Many people who knows Strangelove knows that she distastes men and prefer women. But she does make some exception with men who can stand on their own, with Huey being an example.

Though she sees Rivalz as a dumb boy in some occasions, he is decent boy and can at least stand up on his own. Plus, he is kinda cute.

Rivalz was trying hard not to blush so much with his teacher, who looks almost like a supermodel, patting his head.

Meanwhile, outside of a warehouse of the Ashford Academy. Huey was approaching there to tell Milly to go back to the school. On his way, he saw the Japanese maid Sayoko standing outside vigilant.

"Oh! Miss Sayoko! What are you doing outside? It's dangerous now, considering that the Black Knights are approaching!" Greeted Huey.

"Hello there, Huey-san" Greeted Sayoko as she bowed at him.

"I'll be joining the staff soon, after Lady Milly is done" Informed Sayoko.

"Oh, she is? Mind if I call her?" Asked Huey.

"That won't be necessary, she is coming out right now" Said Sayoko with a smile.

Huey tilted his head a little, until Milly walked out from the warehouse.

"Oh it's you teach!" Greeted Milly.

"Hello Milly! I've been looking for you! We need all the students inside the building as fast as we can"

Milly was feeling a little unsure on what to say since Nina was still inside and refused to get out

"Sure, let's be on our way!"

"Oh by the way, where is Nina? I haven't seen her yet" Asked Huey.

"Don't worry, she will be with us soon!" Lied Milly

In the Avalon, Suzaku's room

While Ishmael was still in the medical bay for some unspecified reason, Suzaku was in his room pondering on what to do.

Suzaku was sitting on a chair while having his hands on his head while reflecting on the situation. He received news of the Black Knights starting a rebellion and that every available soldier is to be present in the Viceroy Palace to repel them. As much as he wants to stop the fighting, he still has doubts on the incident and wants to understand why Cornelia committed a massacre on the Japanese civilians. He refused to believe that this was all part of her plan, because it's impossible that Cornelia would deceive Euphy. Even if Cornelia disagrees Euphy, she wouldn't go to such length.

"Why did she order that?" Said Suzaku with a hard tone.

"Shall I tell you?"

Suzaku suddenly looked behind him when he heard a voice. It turns out to be a long-haired blonde child wearing a noble uniform.

"A child? What are you doing aboard the Avalon?!" Said Suzaku in alarm as he stood and faced the child.

"My name is V.V, Kururugi Suzaku" Introduced V.V

"V.V?"

Meanwhile in the Viceroy Palace

…

In the Viceroy Palace, an urgent conference was held with all the commanding officers.

The Black Rebellion has finally begun, with the Black Knights amassing all the Japanese and any remnants of the Japanese resistance group, from Mt Fuji all the way to the Tokyo Settlement.

"Insurrections have broken out in all Areas in a few hours, even though we managed to cut off the news!"

"The largest armed group, the Black Knights, are absorbing the masses advancing on the Tokyo Settlement. The other blocks have deployed forces for defense and can't send reinforcements!"

"Counting betrayals and honorary Britannians, the enemy's strength now reaches into tens of thousands!"

"And we've got reports that Militaire Sans Frontieres are with them!"

Informed the commanding officers to the 2 men who are sitting in front of the table and possibly the only ones who can handle this situation.

Darlton was sitting on the right side while listening and maintaining his posture. He didn't want to admit it, but he was feeling insecure, now that the only woman he has ever served was now deceased.

"They've broken the Atsugi line as well!"

"Can we get reinforcements from the homeland?"

"They'll never make it in time"

"Then, we should abandon this area for now"

While the Britannian commanders were informing and losing hope at the same time, Guilford, who is sitting on the left side, was feeling absent minded. his head hung down and looking hopeless. He knew Cornelia better than anyone, and he was, in a way, in love with her, but his and Cornelia's duty always came first than personal feelings.

"Guilford" Called Darlton.

He raised his head to look at Darlton, who has a stern face. He can tell that Darlton was feeling the same even though he was showing a tough expression. The situation was not helping either. Not only Cornelia is dead, but they don't have enough forces to counter the enemy, and as one of the Britannian commander said, the reinforcements from the homeland won't make it in time.

"We must stay strong, Guilford…For the princess" Said Darlton with resolve. Despite his feeling of insecurity, he steeled himself. Cornelia would surely have told everyone to show no weakness and fight them back.

Once Guilford registered his words, his negative emotions were slowly fading away and his mind was now clean to think. There was no time to mourn while the enemy is at their doorstep, it is now the time to counter them.

Cornelia is dead, but he will honor her, by defending Britannia and protecting Euphy.

Guilford, now determined, nodded at Darlton and focused on the Britannian commanders.

He stood up and spoke in a commanding tone.

"Don't panic! Have the Glaston Knights stand by! Deploy all of our forces on the outer edge of the Tokyo Settlement! If we crush the Black Knights or kill Zero, then this rebellion will collapse!"

"But lord Guilford, without the princess, I doubt any of us would be able to beat them! Especially if the Black Knights have Militaire Sans Forntieres backing them up" Said one of the commanders.

"Then we will have to win this battle without her!" Retorted Guilford, which surprised everyone in the room, including Darlton.

"Lord Guilford, pardon my insolence, but you are not her highness" Said one of the Britannian commanders not wanting to sound rude.

Guilford sighed and then continued.

"I'm aware that I'm not as perfect as princess Cornelia and that we are also facing the most powerful mercenaries in the world, but I've known her for a very long time, I know her strategy, we can use some of her wisdom to help us in this battle"

"But what is the point lord Guilford, without princess Cornelia, there is no hope!" Said one of the commanders with a hopeless tone.

"Then we do it without hope, there is always vengeance!" Barked Guilford as he continued speaking.

"Zero shot her in the back, he is the reason why our highness is dead and I'll be dammed if I let him kill all of us!"

Darlton was a little shocked that Guilford showed such fierceness, but then he understood what Guilford was doing.

"He is right!" Spoke Darlton as he stood up to face the commanders.

"We avenge our highness by protecting the Tokyo Settlement and repel the Black Knights and Militaire Sans Frontieres. If we can halt their advance and stall them as much as we can, the reinforcements may arrive in time!"

The Britannian commanders looked at them in shock. Suddenly something inside them awoke, like a sense of pride and survival instinct. They know that the possibility of escaping is out of option since the Black Knights have the Gawain to shoot down the aircrafts and basically trapping them in the Tokyo Settlement. If that is the case, why not go out with a bang?

"Yes, sir!" They all shouted with conviction.

Guilford and Darlton let out a small smile. They managed to convince them to fight back.

"You did good, Guilford, I never though you had it in you" Praised Darlton.

"Thank you, Darlton" Thanked Guilford.

G-1 Base of the Black Knights

"If we take over the Viceroy Palace, then we will win!" Proclaimed Zero as he stood up from the throne-like sit of the Mobile Base

"All forces, follow the deployment scheme and stand by! Diethard, have Tohdoh handle the front line. I'm leaving you in charge here,." Ordered Zero as he proceeded to walk out of the room.

"Understood, sir" Replied Diethard.

Once he was going to walk out from the room, the door slid to reveal that standing there was the girl Kaguya Sumeragi

"Sumeragi?"

"Thank goodness I made it in time!" Said Kaguya in relief.

"That was so mean of you, Zero! Going into battle and leaving me behind like that!" Pouted Kaguya.

"I've been a fan of yours for a while now, ever since your debut!" She added happily.

"I was hoping we could finally have a chance to talk, but…"

"Hey, Zero"

Kaguya yelped as she turned around to see that it was Big Boss and Ocelot.

"Oh my god! It's Big Boss!" Said Kaguya in excitement. Big Boss raised an eyebrow curiously at the girl.

"You must be Kaguya Sumeragi, head mistress of the Kyoto House" Said Big Boss having been briefed about the Six Houses of Kyoto a while back.

"Oh! It's really a great honor to join us! I'm also a big fan of yours!" Claimed Kaguya, causing Big Boss to look at her weirdly since this is the second time a young girl told him that they are big fans.

"Thank you, lady Kaguya, but I need to speak with Zero"

"Oh right, sorry!" Kaguya stepped away, letting Big Boss speak to Zero.

"Zero, I-" But Zero stopped him by raising his left hand

"Big Boss, whatever you have to say will have to wait, there is no time to waste!" Said Zero as he was about to exit.

"Wait, this is important!" Shouted Big Boss.

"And I'm conducting a rebellion here! Every minute we waste is another minute we give to Britannia!" Replied Zero in a harsh tone. Then he walked out, leaving the rest behind.

Big Boss normally wouldn't get angry, but at this moment, Zero was really testing his patience. He was going to inform him that he sent a group of his soldiers to infiltrate the Tokyo Settlement. But since Zero refused to listen to him, he will have to continue the fight without telling him.

Ocelot shook his head in disappointment. He wished he could have stopped him, but

Kaguya was a little shaken on how Zero acted, but she assumed that he was just trying to not feel stressed since he was leading a rebellion.

"Damn it" cursed Big Boss.

Back in the Tokyo Settlement

On top of the Viceroy Palace stood Guilford and Darlton in their Knightmares and in front of them were all the Britannian forces of Area 11. This was it, the decisive battle to determine who will be victorious and control the world. The absolute monarchism system of Britannia or the libertarianism of the Black Knights.

Guilford stepped forward and turned on his Knightmares comm and speaker.

"Soldiers! This is now the time to show your value as a soldier of Britannia!" Started Guilford, catching the attentions of all the Britannian military, including the officers, commanders and even the radio operators.

"Many of you know who I am, so I'll make this as short as possible. I know that this seems like an unwinnable battle. With the Black Knights having now thousands of soldiers and amongst their forces are Big Boss and his soldiers."

Many Britannians were feeling a bit scared when Guilford mentioned Big Boss and MSF. They KNOW how tough these mercenaries are.

The Glaston Knights also felt a bit nervous, but the steeled themselves thanks to Darlton who are their adopted father.

"Not to mention that we also lost our viceroy, our Goddess of Victory, Cornelia li Britannia. We are grieving her death; I too am still grieving." Said Guilford with a sorrow tone. A small tear fell from his eyes, but he straightened his face and looked at the soldiers down there.

"But right now, we must wipe our tears and fight! Our enemies are approaching, the ones who shot her in the back, a cowardly move from the one who claimed to fight for "justice". We won't let them get away with this crime!"

Many of the soldiers around started to feel Guilford's speech.

"We must fight! If we let them win, it will be the beginning of the end of Britannia! People will see us weak and we may end up the just like the elevens, they will treat us like slaves and mock us!"

Guilford speech seems to have managed to awaken their pride.

"Today, we will make Zero pay his crime! We show them that we are not weak just because the Viceroy is gone. She is still with us! We show them that her spirit has influenced all of us and we are just as strong as the Goddess of Victory!"

"HUAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Cheered the Britannian soldiers, now feeling that their morals have just boosted up.

"So… I BID YOU STAND, MEN OF BRITANNIA!" Shouted Guillford with all his strength.

"HUUAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!" Cheered all the Britannians who heard Guilford's speech.

Back with the Black Knights

The army of the Black Knights halted their approach to Tokyo Settlement as the Gawain flew and approached the walls.

"Hear me Britannia! My name is Zero! A rebel against those who possess power! We will wait until midnight; you have until midnight to surrender to us. This is your last warning!" Proclaimed Lelouch through the speaker as he then activated the countdown.

Meanwhile down with the rest of the Black Knight army. Big Boss, Ocelot and his soldiers were amongst the rest of the army in their Knightmares. Big Boss and Ocelot were focused on Zero's next move, which was attacking the Tokyo Settlement.

Big Boss then contacted Amanda through his comm.

"Amanda, how are you guys in there?"

"Boss, we managed to get in without any trouble! We are in the deepest level of the structure. We will soon reach the Viceroy palace" Informed Amanda.

"Good, take care of yourselves"

"Thanks Boss, you too!"

With that Big Boss disconnected his comm. Although he couldn't help but feel that something is wrong here.

"Ocelot" Big Boss called to Ocelot.

"Yes, Boss?"

"Can you try to intercept Zero's comm? I can't help but feel that he has something in mind and we may end up getting caught in it"

"On it, but it will take several minutes" Replied Ocelot.

Suddenly, his cellphone rang. Lelouch took out and he was surprised to see who was calling him.

"Euphy?! Impossible, I never called her! What does she want now of all time?!' Said Lelouch in surprise. He was doubting whether he should answer her or not. But after a second, he decided to answer.

"Euphy?"

"Lelouch, it's me" Answered Suzaku instead of Euphy.

"Suzaku? What happened? Did something happen to Euphy?!" Asked Lelouch with a concerned tone.

"No, nothing happened to her. She is just…having trouble to process everything that happened so far" Answered Suzaku.

"That's good to hear. Then, why did you call me?" Asked Lelouch.

"Lelouch… Are you at school now?" Asked Suzaku.

"No, but I'll be back there soon"

"I see. I called because there's something I want to tell everyone"

"What is it?"

"The sky. Tell them not to look the sky"

"What?" Questioned Lelouch

"Lelouch… have you ever hated someone so much that you want to kill them?" Asked Suzaku

Lelouch closed his eyes and was angry at himself for what he did to Cornelia.

"Yeah"

"I used to think it was wrong to think that way. That unless you fought following the rules, it was just murder. But now…I'm consumed by anger. Now, I'm going to show another side of me. I won't kill unless they leave me no choice, but I will become ruthless and I won't stop. That's why I don't want my friends to see me like this, so…"

"You have the right to hate. For Euphy's sake. The Special Administration Zone was her dream, and it was taken away. Besides, I made up my mind a long time ago. I have no intention of turning back now." Answered Lelouch while feeling guilty for killing Cornelia and despite Suzaku having witnessed himself that Cornelia was responsible for it, he knows very well that Suzaku will still stay with Britannia.

"For Nunnally's sake?"

"Yeah… I have to go now"

"Thank you, Lelouch"

"Don't worry, we are friends, aren't we?"

"For the last seven years"

"Yeah, I'll see you later"

"Okay, see you later"

With that, Lelouch hang the call, just in time to see that the timer has reached its time.

Once it reached to zero, all chaos started.

"WHAT?!" Shouted in shock Guilford.

The platforms that sustains the settlement started to fall apart. The buildings and roads started to fall, taking along with it the soldiers, Knightmares, tanks and possibly civilians.

"Suzaku, I dirtied my hands a long time ago. Even so, you coming to face me doesn't matter. I'll welcome you!" Said Lelouch now having a twisted smile.

"After all, we are friends, aren't we?" Then Lelouch started to laugh crazily at the destruction he has caused, unaware that Big Boss and Ocelot just happened to intercept in time to hear his maniacal monologue.

Ocelot was shocked to hear how crazed was Zero, and judging by his monologue he planned all of this without anyone's consent.

Big Boss could only stare in horror at the settlements where his team infiltrated.

"Amanda….Shira….Liz!... NOOOOOOOOOOO!"

End of stage 18

Now I know you may be wondering, why Alligator seems to be offscreen most of the time in this chapter, and why Suzaku would continue to serve Britannia even after seeing Cornelia ordering the massacre. There is a reason for why Alligator is offscreen, so I want to keep it a secret for now. And as for Suzaku, well, he is being himself, especially what I'm going to add in the next chapter about what V.V said to him besides of Geass.

"It was an honor to fight with all of you. Long…Live…Outer…Heaven…"

"Why did Big Boss abandon us?!"

"WE ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD!"

*BOOM*

"DAMN IT! DAMN IT ALL! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?! JUST WHEN WE FINALLY FOUND A PLACE TO CALL HOME!"
