Heyy guys. This lockdown situation has actually given me a lot of time to write this fanfiction. But I do hope that you and your loved ones are all safe from this situation. Take care guys!

Thank you guys for the reviews that you guys left on the previous chapter.

spiffy2143- I also love all the stories with the marauders in it. I wish we had more of their scenes in the books and movies. I have a few ideas of what will happen in the story now and hopefully you all will like it.

QHLuver- Yes, I agree. I think two love triangles will take up most of the story and might make it messy while I want my story to focus more on their friendship and defeating Voldemort.

Now let's get on with the story. And, oh, I do not own Harry Potter an its characters.

Hermione and Ginny finally reached the last class of the day, Defence against the dark arts , and took their seats. Ginny ignored Remus as he sat down beside her.

Stupid seating arrangement, she thought.

They were supposed to study about patronuses that day.

"Right, so who can tell me what a patronus is?" Professor Carter asked

A few hands shot up. "Yes, Mr. Lupin?"

"A patronus is a kind of anti-dementor- a guardian which acts as a shield between a person and the Dementor." Remus said.

"Well done. 10 points to Gryffindor." Professor Carter continued "A patronus is a kind of positive force, a projection of the very things that the Dementor feeds upon- hope, happiness, the desire to survive, but it cannot feel despair..."

Ginny spaced out during the lecture. She already knew how to conjure a patronus, thanks to the DA meetings in her 4th year. She felt someone's eyes on her and realized that Remus was watching her from the corner of his eyes. She tried to ignore him for a minute but then she turned towards him and whispered, "Do you have something to say?"

"I didn't say anything" Remus said defensively.

"But I have a feeling you want to. So go ahead." Ginny said

"I just don't understand what is going on with you and Hermione" Remus admitted "First you two come and pretend to be our friends, then you start behaving in such a weird way, knowing things that you shouldn't, jinxing our friend."

Ginny sighed "First of all, we never pretended to be your friends. And as for jinxing Peter, he deserved it. He, of all people, didn't have any right to call us death eater or spies of Voldemort."

Remus frowned "What do you mean "he of all people"?"

Ginny was saved from answering his question when Professor Carter asked her a question "Miss Weasley, can you tell us what shape does a corporeal patronus take?"

"The shape of a corporeal patronus is unique to every person, Sir. It generally takes the shape of the animal with whom a person shares the deepest resemblance ddep down." Ginny answered.

After the class, the Marauders and Lily were on their way to the common room when Remus told them the conversation he had with Ginny.

"What do they have against Peter?" James said "It's not like he has done anything."

Sirius must have noticed that Peter was getting a little pale so he tried to assure him "Peter you don't have to worry what they say about you. We are here for you."

Hermione and Ginny were sitting in the common room in a corner completing their assignment when they saw Lily enter along with Marlene, Dorcas and Emmeline. The four girls saw Hermione and Ginny but without a word went upto their dorm.

Ginny turned to Hermione, "I know it hasn't been long since we've been here but to be honest I miss talking to them."

Hermione sighed as she put down her quill "I know Ginny. I miss it too. We had been on our own for so long and it was really comforting to see that we had friends here. Not anymore, I guess." Hermione tried to sound cheerful "At least now we can fully concentrate on the task for which we came here."

"Speaking of which," Ginny said "What happened when you went to the library today to discuss the Potions assignment with Severus?"

"Nothing much. We tried to come up with an idea for the potion. I'm trying so hard to get him to open up to to me! We need him on our side." Hermione said with a hint of frustration in her voice.

"Hey, it's okay" Ginny tried to calm her down "I know you are doing everything you can. But you know that it will take time, right? It'll be okay Hermione."

"Yeah, let's hope so." Hermione said "Don't you have Quidditch practice tomorrow?"

Ginny sighed "Yes, I do. Never thought I'd say this but I'm not really looking forward to Quidditch practice."

Hermione was on her way to the stands the next day to watch the practice when she heard someone call her. She looked behind her to see Serena running up to her.

"Hey," Serena said after she finally caught up with her "Are you also going to see the practice?"

"Yeah, I thought I'd be there to support Ginny." Hermione said "What about you?"

"My friend Ben is the seeker on the Gryffindor team. And since I had nothing else to do I thought I'd go see his practice" Serena explained as she and Hermione started walking side by side to the stands. Hermione saw that Remus, Peter, Lily, Dorcas and Emmeline were also there but there was not much friendliness in their eyes when they saw Hermione take her seat a little away from them.

Serena must have noticed all that too because she asked "Hey, if you don't mind me asking, what is going on with them? I thought they were your friends but I've not seen you or Ginny talking with them much these days."

Hermione looked at Serena wondering how much she could tell her "It's complicated."

Hermione was looking at the pitch where she could see James explaining strategies to the team when Serena again spoke up "Hold on, Ginny said that she jinxed someone...she didn't...?" Serena looked a little surprised as she figured out the truth "She jinxed one of them, didn't she?"

Hermione knew there would be no point in denying it so she kept quiet. Serena took her silence as a yes.

"But why would she do that?" Serena asked in a puzzling tone.

"We had a little...disagreement" Hermione said.

Serena sensed Hermione's hesitance to talk on the topic so she let it go "Hey, I don't know what happened and it's okay if you don't want to talk about it. You two look like you have been through a lot and I just want you to know that I'm here for you and Ginny."

"Thanks, Serena. That...That really means a lot." Hermione said thinking that maybe Serena did mean all that and that maybe Ginny and she were not alone.

"Hey, what about your brother," Hermione suddenly asked Serena "Did anyone hear from him?"

Serena looked down "No, no one has heard from him yet. My parents are really worried."

"It's going to be okay. I'm sure they'll find him." Hermione tried to reassure her

"Yeah. No matter what happens, I'll get him back." Serena said with determination.

In that moment, Hermione couldn't tell exactly why but something about the way Serena said that sent chills down Hermione's spine.

Hermione shrugged it off and shifted her attention to the practice. She always thought that Ginny was the best chaser that the Gryffindor team ever had in her time and as she watched Ginny play, she knew that hadn't changed. Ginny was playing flawlessly, dodging the bludgers effortlessly and shooting goals after goals. Even though James, Sirius and Marlene weren't exactly fond of Ginny, Hermione could see that they were clearly very impressed with her game.

After three hours of practice, when it was finally time for dinner, James discussed the time of next meeting with the whole team and ended the practice.

"You were amazing" Serena said when she and Hermione caught up with Ginny.

"Thanks" Ginny groaned "But I still need to buy a broom. I won't be able to play a match on one of the school brooms."

Hermione chuckled, "Even on a school broom you were better than most of them Gin. Come on now or we'll miss dinner."

Ginny looked down at her clothes, "You guys go ahead. I'll meet you in the great hall. I need to get changed."

So what do you guys think of our new character Serena? Let me know in the reviews guys because your reviews really make my day!
