Hope for Redemption

Gellert and Albus had one jelly, and now the plate had three jellies. They both chuckled, Albus felt lighter, he was ready for whatever it came.

Leaving the room, he heard a young person laughing; he knew the laugh, Ariana's. He smiled, hoping to see them whenever it was his time.

When they entered the room, Gellert froze, recognized a Malfoy, and knew Serpens, who probably was this Malfoy's grandfather. Gellert saw Fenrir, he looked much like Amelia, he was her baby brother, though, he wondered what happened to his wild curls. Fenrir was alive; Gellert was trying to control himself, wanting to hug Fenrir.

When Gellert saw Hermione, he felt ill; she was a Greyback, he could tell. He could see her magic core; indeed, she was related to him. One of his children lived after the massacre. Gellert couldn't stop himself, Albus was observing and decided that Gellert was hungry for human contact. As soon as he got close, Hermione and Fenrir could smell Gellert.

Fenrir had to hold back, dying to tell Gellert that, Amelia, his wife, was alive. Gellert hugged Hermione, who fell immediate kinship, then Fenrir. He passed Abraxas, Albus agreed with the judgment.

"Well, my associate is a little emotional. He was away for a while, a complicated situation, marooned in an island without a wand."

Fenrir nearly jumped and broke the arse's neck. He grumbled, "I bet."

Gellert breathed deeply, wishing Amy was here. Both Hermione and Fenrir heard him in their heads, "Pretend. He has no idea. Whose child is she?"

Fenrir said, "He thinks I am someone else. She is your great-granddaughter, your older son survived, and later, he had a daughter."

Gellert said aloud, "Albus is right, forgive this old fool. She is a lovely young lady." He said, looking at Hermione.

Abraxas added with pride, "She is marrying my son; he just proposed. He is fortunate."

Albus had enough, "Now, the unbreakables."

Once done, Abraxas said, "Everyone holds on to me. We will Sidealong to a house nearby."

Facing your sins

Abraxas wasn't the one doing the magic needed. The magic was Fenrir's.

They arrived at the room where Tom awaited with Cygnus, Albus just greeted, lowering his head, Tom did the same. The tension was high, but Albus wanted to do right. He had the jelly in his pocket, like a magic talisman. Abraxas explained all done this far. Professor Olbo was not invited, so he said he would go back to Hogwarts.

Hermione had stayed behind. Fenrir came back; her friends were already waiting. With him, they went to the fortress. Professor Olbo left them in a giant library. He transformed into an old version of Fenrir at Hogwarts, dressed in a dark shirt and trousers. Albus knew Fenrir; he knew he was more than the werewolf. Once ready, he waited for the others to arrive.

At the house, Tom said, "We will Floo, to Fenrir's place." Albus hadn't seen the massacre, but his mother's words were hunting him.

When they entered the fortress, thru the fake Floo, Fenrir bowed slightly. Albus had to say it, "I am beyond sorry for any of the actions that hurt those you loved." Fenrir wanted to kill him, but remembered what was in stake.

Fenrir spoke between clenched teeth, "Later, we can talk later. In that wall are the portraits of everyone killed during the massacre. On the far wall are the portraits of my father, mother, sisters, and the children. The one with the baby was my sister, Gellert's wife. Fifty pups, ten pregnant females, my entire family was either killed or injured."

Albus' eyes filled with tears, "Nothing I could say can express my sorrow." He didn't want to look at his crime. He was going away after today.

Many tall men in odd uniforms were everywhere. They had many weapons; Albus could feel the hatred coming from everyone. Fenrir reminded him of someone, but who.

"Are you going to introduce me?" Fenrir asked.

Albus realized his error, Fenrir was a wolf, he could probably remember Gellert's scent, hopefully not. On the other hand, who cared.

"He wants to stay anonymous," Albus tried.

Fenrir was already upon them, and he sniffed the air. "How can this be, he is dead. Gellert?" But his voice broke down. "I agree with Albus; we can talk later."

Gellert nodded, smiling.

Tom hid his face to hide a grin. Fenrir is an actor, Tom thought.

A small flyer appeared inside a foggy cover. "Gentlemen, let's follow our guide," Fenrir asked.

Albus realized how wealthy Fenrir was. There were fierce-looking warriors right behind them.

They weren't werewolves, but something unknown to him. The feeling of having done something terrible, wouldn't leave him. He hoped that his mother was right, and he could atone for his crimes.

They went into an old part of the fortress, no longer in use. There was rubble left from the Muggle weapons during the massacre. Albus wasn't feeling well, well knowing he had brought death to many years ago.

"Stop," Albus commanded, with the wand; he conjured a table. He took out several miniature items, placing them over the table, and pointed the wand; he said, "Engorgio," at once, items covered the table. He took several vials, Gellert took about half. With the bottles on hand, they sprinkled drops from different vials, wherever they walked. They seemed to know where to look and what to do. The duo, Gellert, and Albus pointed their wands, and streams came out, which turn into small fliers. The flyers joined into an arrow, pointing along a long hallway.

The feeling of evil grew, until Gellert said, "There." They saw a faded mural depicting a surreal scene. Albus and Gellert pointed their wands, calling a charm to reveal portals, and saw a large door, made out of a large rock, covered with symbols. They all could see cracks running along the surface. The pair went around it with their wands, spraying the vials over the cracks while reading an old scroll.

They all saw a large clawed hand that reached and grabbed Albus, pulling him in. But Fenrir moved his hand and held on to the hand, stopping it. Fenrir held on to the monstrous hand until the hand was sliced by one of the warriors, following them. Something ungodly screamed, and the hand hanging by leathery skin was pulled back. It took a while to finish their work, and finally, they declared it done.

"I don't need to see the entity you have. It took a lot out of me. Come for me after you remove the thing." Albus told the.

"I'll stay here, no reason to hide," Gellert told him.

Albus no longer cared, "Stay. I believe Fenrir knows who you are.

Abraxas told him that he would take Albus back. "Only to Hogsmead," Albus answered. It was time to see his brother and confess his sins.

As soon as Albus left, Gellert lowered his hood. He looked like a much younger man; Fenrir recognized him. They held on to each other. "I will tell you what has happened, but first, let's get you cleaned, dressed, and fed. Let's keep your identity secret, for now. Just something you should know, Amy is alive. I saw her just a while ago, yesterday."

The shock was too much, and Gellert fainted.

Fenrir panicked, "Help; we need a healer."

A wolf gift

Tom heard the commotion, and he came with Hermione. "Who is he?"

"Your great-grandfather, Grindenwald," Tom explained.

"But he doesn't look very old. Is he sick?" She asked.

"No, just overexcited, hearing about my wife, who I thought dead. You are a beautiful child, indeed." He opened his eyes and reached to caress her cheek.

"Thanks," she put her hand over his, pressing, he sighed. "We will try to send the demon away," Hermione told him.

"No, there is an easier way, I didn't want to say it around Albus, since it requires blood magic. Perhaps not easier, but less dangerous. First, tell me what you were going to do." Gallery asked.

Tom explained it to him.

"Ah, similar; but we have a victim of the demon's doing. My dear, you are one of the victims, having to hide who you are." Gellert told Hermione.

Fenrir said, "A youth waiting to help, is another victim. I made him into a werewolf when I was full of anger and hate before Ermi came. He has a pure heart."

"Can you get a few drops of his blood?" Gellert asked Hermione.

"No, I will do it. Time to face my old crimes." Fenrir said.

Fenrir and Hermione stepped in the room where the Hogwarts' students waited.

"Remus, could I have a word with you," Fenrir asked.

Remus could smell wolves all over the place, making him apprehensive, "Remus, it is okay, come," Hermione called him.

Remus came, and they went into the next room. "Son, I am Fenrir, but don't be scared. Years ago, I saw the murder of many of my kin, many pregnant females and children, all died. The demon was behind it. He influenced Dumbledore, who told lies to the Muggle army. That made me into who I was, but the werewolf wasn't who I am. I can make you like me, watch."

Remus was pale, not a word out his mouth; he was both angry and scared. When he saw the wolf in front of him, and back to the man, "Will the werewolf curse go away?" Remus asked, interested.

"Yes, it will be gone. Afterward, you can go back and forth; nobody would be the wiser. You must know, we lost so many of our young ones, so I want you to be with us. You will live for hundreds of years unless you get killed." Fenrir added.

"Yes, I want it. What do you need?" Remus asked, looking hopeful.

"We will need a few drops of your blood, and a few of mine. Though, I would also be grateful if we can have a few more drops of yours. Ermi will also donate some of her blood. It will help us to send the demon back. But if you don't want to offer more, it makes no difference. The gift has no strings attached or not many. I am the ruler, and I will be yours." Fenrir added. He wanted Remus to know the facts.

"No, you may have as much as you need. When?" He sounded anxious. Remus was young and forgiving.

"Now, we will do it right away; let's go," Fenrir said.

Lucius came into the room, "I will also go wherever Ermi goes. I don't want something bad to happen to her." He loved her, everyone could see.

Fenrir sighed, "Come my young one, the more, the merrier."

They went into a nearby room, a potion's lab, where Tom and Grindenwald waited. They all stood around a table full of bottles, vials, knives, and other items. Remus stood; he was excited about the possibilities. It was so much more than Animagus; it was a great gift. Hermione stood next to him; she reached for his hand. "All will be well, I promise you."
