"Death, calm down our Master. Explain what's going on." Life yelled as she picked up Tom and put him on his desk. Usually, Death would not follow his older sister's directions, but he knew this was something of importance.

He flew over to his Master and said, "Your human is suffering from being controlled by multiple Beings. He is trying to fight against the pull."

Harry blinked. "What do you mean he is being controlled by Beings? I thought this was Dumbledore's doing!" He tried to look over Death to make sure Tom was okay, but the Being kept blocking his view.

"It is his fault, but he made a deal with two Beings. I don't have time to explain everything right now, Master." Harry nodded as he stared at Death, understanding that now was not the time. "You have to focus on the bond between you two."

"What bond? He doesn't have a piece of my soul!" Harry was about to lose his mind. Just behind Death was his friend (friend?) in pain. They had to do something and do it now.

"He has less than a percentage of your soul in his body. When you released the two Horcruxes, you unknowingly sent back a bit of your soul as well." Death calmly explained as he made Harry sit down in one of the armchairs. "Now focus!"

Without being told once more, Harry went into his mind and searched for a link between himself and Tom. His mind was organized into two sections, one for his first life and the other for his current one. He searched within his current one because this bond had not existed in his first life. After a short while, Harry came across a small, almost invisible thread that went into the void of his mind. He followed it to a brick wall that looked as if it would topple over at any moment. The cracks that ran in it were deep, and there was a large snake engraved into it. Harry figured that it was the entrance to Tom's mind.

Not knowing what to do, Harry began hissing in Parseltongue. "Open." It remained closed. "Slytherin ." It was still closed.

At this point, he began to get annoyed. "Oh come on you bloody wall, open up already!" He was tempted to kick it but decided not to. He simmered down and sat against the wall while looking up. "I don't understand you, Tom. Why won't you let me help?" He sighed.

"I'm just like you."

The wall suddenly opened up, making Harry fall on his back. He quickly got up and smiled. "Thank you," he whispered.

After that, he ran to the end of the thread, only to see a bright ball of light. It looked infected with red and orange threads going through, containing the bright green that was Tom's magic and soul. Harry quickly placed his hands in it to cut out the red and orange. Without knowing what was going on, he focused on their bond to try to get rid of the unwanted colours.

Life appeared in Tom's mind and rushed to her Master to help. She said, "We have to remove the magic! I'll chant, you just focus on the bond. Make sure he stays here and doesn't follow the other Beings' magic." She began chanting in Latin as her eyes glowed goldenly.

The threads fought furiously to stay put. The red one even scratched Life on the cheek, making a thin line of blood form. While she was chanting, Harry made sure Tom was rooted, so he wouldn't disappear too.

As Life finished the spell, the dark room was flooded with light as screeching filled the space. Harry closed his eyes while still focusing on the bond. The red and orange were dying when Death appeared. He raised a hand to form a portal to his dimension before throwing the two colours in. The three all sighed in relief as the calmed themselves.

Everyone was quiet for a while until Life said, "He's going to have a massive headache tomorrow."

At that, Harry just laughed before collapsing on the ground from exhaustion. Tom better appreciate this when he woke up because Harry also had a headache and was seeing black specks.

Which was not normal even for his eyesight. Not normal at all.

Harry going up silently and started walking to the brick wall that was still open. Taking the clue, both Beings went away back to their Master's mind. As Harry was walking back to his own magical core, he looked back to see that the wall stayed open behind him. Seems like Tom was willing to listen to him somewhat at least.

He sighed once again from tiredness. Why couldn't anything be easy for him anymore? After everything he had to go through, he thought he deserved some pretty easy moments.

Harry finally reached his core and focused on going back to the outside world. When he returned, it seemed to be a bit darker than when he left. With a quick Tempus, Harry checked the time only to find out that it was almost five in the evening. Time sure does fly when you're in someone else's mind doesn't it?

Tom looked worse than when he left, but that was to be expected. After all, the man just had two Beings in his mind, Harry, and the magic of four Beings. He deserved to look bad right now, Harry believed. Though he really needed a body that wasn't Quirrell's.

Sighing once more, Harry wrote a quick note that explained everything that happened. He left out Life and Death though as well as the other Beings. He could find that out later.

The boy took out his wand and waved it towards Tom to levitate him to the couch in the back of his office. He found a blanket and draped it across the man before leaving. Today was just utterly exhausting.

Harry took his time returning to the Slytherin Common Room. Because he wasn't hungry, he planned on skipping dinner, but Draco and Hermione would probably either force him to go or bring back some food. Honestly, Harry just wanted sleep. That was it. And maybe a hot shower, but that was it.

The halls were filled with students from all four houses and all seven years. One group of Ravenclaws were in the middle of a study group while the Gryffindors were playing Wizards' Chess beside them.

He didn't get many looks, but Harry could tell when he did. He knew his clothes were ruffled, but he didn't care that much. All he could think about was his soft, warm bed and a nice hot shower to calm him even more.

Hopefully, Draco wouldn't be in the Common Room and instead off with Hermione somewhere. Maybe he would be lucky this time.

Of course, that was too much to ask for because when he hissed 'open' in Parseltongue (which gained him a few scared glances from a group that was behind him), both Draco and Hermione were there waiting for him by the fire.

Harry silently groaned at his misfortune.

"There he is, Draco!" Hermione exclaimed. He may love her like a sister, but honestly, she was such a mother hen at times. They both swiftly walked to him. "Harry! Are you okay?" She began to focus on his messed up clothes.

"Where were you?" Draco asked calmly though his eyes showed concern.

Harry rubbed his face and said, "I went to Professor Quirrell's to ask about extra work since the work we do now isn't a challenge for me. I guess we lost track of time talking about curses. Sorry." He smiled sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck.

Hermione sighed. "Please don't do that. It happened this morning too!" She was protective of Harry for some reason. Maybe it was because he looked almost like a girl. Plus he was smaller than her by an inch or two...

"Sorry?" Harry questioned himself as if that was really the right thing to do, but it apparently was because Hermione then smiled and shook her head in fondness. Draco only crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, not believing Harry was truly sorry.

It was true though. Although he wasn't sorry for talking to Quirrellmort, he was for making them worry. Draco soon noticed this and smiled before going back to the sofa in front of the fire.

"I'm going to take a shower and a nap. See you soon." Harry announced. Both his friends looked like they wanted to follow, but they knew better than to invade his privacy.

After the afternoon he had, Harry felt like he could sleep for centuries.

And that didn't sound so bad.
