Ch 20 A Start

Everyone's eyes widened as Leo drew back his katanas, which were stained with blood. Before anyone could say anything Leo attacked Shredder again before he could attack. Leo sliced him down his chest, drawing more blood. "And now," Leo growled, kicking his enemy in the face. "This Hell ends tonight!"

"Leonardo no!" Shen cried out, stepping between her son and his enemy. "You cannot murder him!"

"It isn't murder Mom!" Leo declared. "He deserves it after all the Hell he's put out family through!"

"He deserves to be punished yes," Shen agreed. "But not like this."

"Shen no jail cell or prison is going to hold my father," Karai said, glaring at Shredder, who was trying to stand. Karai walked over and kicked Shredder hard in his chest, making sure she hit the injured part. Shredder groaned in pain as more blood flowed. Before he could make an attempt to stand Donnie and Mikey moved in. Both brothers attacked, hitting Shredder in the head hard with their weapons. Shredder fell to the ground unconscious.

"Should we like finish him off?" Mikey asked, looking over at Shen. Shen stared at her youngest son for a second, unsure of what she should say.

"No!" a voice said. "I will no allow that!" The group looked over and saw Yoshi standing there, being helped along by Will.

"Father he has to be taken down!" Leo declared. "He will only hurt our family more if we allow him to live!"

"Yes Leonardo I am aware of that," Yoshi said as he pulled away from Will and walked over to his family. "But I cannot allow you boys to be the ones that end him. This was my fight to begin with. I will be the one that ends it."

"Oh Yoshi is that really necessary?" Shen asked quietly.

"I am afraid so," Yoshi said. "Karai is right Shen. No cell is going to hold Saki. And I cannot and will not give him another chance to hurt our family. But as I said I will be the one that ends this. I will not put that burden on anyone else."

"But Father this battle was all of ours," Donnie pointed out. "We should end this together as a family."

"But D Raph isn't here," Mikey pointed out. "So our whole family isn't all here anyways. Father should do this."

"I agree with Michelangelo," Shen said. "This is something Yoshi must do. And as much as I loathe killing sometimes it is necessary."

"I agree," Will said with a nod. "But I for one can't witness such violence."

"Yeah I'm with you on that Mr. Turner," April said. "You coming Casey? Casey?" April looked around but saw no trace of her friend. "Where'd he go?" she asked, the confusion clear in her voice.

"No idea," Donnie said with a shrug.

"I'm sure he'll turn up eventually," Leo said.

"Yeah but he has a broken arm," April said, the worry clear in her voice. "But that's on him. We'll be in the Shell Raiser." With that April and Will left, leaving the Hamato family alone.

"Mom you sure you wanna stay for this?" Leo asked. "I mean me and Father can handle things if you, Mikey and Donnie wanna leave."

"No Leonardo I need to see for myself that he is truly gone," Shen declared.

"Yeah same here," Donnie chimed in. Mikey nodded in agreement and stood close to his mother, who put her arm around her thirteen year old son. Donnie got on the other side of Shen and she pulled him close as well. The threesome looked over at Yoshi and nodded. Yoshi looked over at Karai, who was staring at him with wide brown eyes.

"I..I don't think I can watch this," Karai stammered. "You do what you need to do Yoshi. I..I just can't.." Without saying another word Karai took off, heading back to the Shell Raiser. Once she was gone Yoshi grabbed a sword off the ground and in once swift motion he stabbed Shredder in the chest, running the blade completely through him. Yoshi removed the bloody blade and the he once again raised it up high and cut the Shredder's head clean off. Yoshi looked over at Leo and nodded. Leo then took out a lighter that he had found and used it to set the Shredder's body on fire. Once the body was burned the family departed. When the got back to the Shell Raiser Karai looked over at them. "Is it done?" she asked, her voice coming out soft.

"Yeah," Leo said as he helped Shen get settled in the Shell Raiser. "Its done." Karai nodded and let out a heavy sigh. April put her arm around her friend and squeezed her shoulder.

"Are you alright Karai?" the red head asked.

"Yeah," Karai said, her voice still a whisper. "I'm fine. Its just that...well I'm a little..."

"Sad," Donnie asked. Karai nodded and tears went down her cheeks and she quickly brushed them away. Donnie put his arm around his friend and she leaned against him, putting her head on his shoulder and taking a shaky breath. "Hey its alright to be sad," the genius turtle said.

"I feel so stupid," Karai said as she brushed away more tears.

"You are not stupid my dear," Shen said gently. "Anyone of us would feel the same in your place."

"Yeah," Leo chimed in. "I mean he was your father. Anyone would feel sad if their father died." Leo's voice got soft and he looked over at Yoshi, who was looking at him with loving brown eyes.

"Yeah I guess you guys are right," Karai said as she sat wide and ran her hand over her face. "I'm just glad its over and done with."

"Elizabeth is waiting for us at your home," Will said to Yoshi as he drove. "As is Raphael. They're both anxious to know what happened."

"Good," Yoshi said, his voice coming out very tired. "I want Donatello to be examined to make sure he has not further injured himself. And Shen you should make sure your side is not more injured than it was before."

"I am fine Yoshi," Shen declared.

"Shen I hope that you are not still angry with me," Yoshi began. Shen looked at her husband and sighed.

"I am not angry with you Yoshi," the dark headed women said softly. "I am just frustrated with you. You nearly got yourself killed today doing something foolish. After you promised you would not do so."

"I am sorry Shen," Yoshi said, feeling guilty that he had lied to his wife.

"No Father," Leo said, causing Yoshi to look over at him. "I'm the one that should be sorry. I was the foolish one that went after Karai all by myself and got captured and brainwashed."

"Yes Leonardo that was very foolish," Yoshi said. "But if it were not for my harsh treatment of you before that would not have happened. I am so sorry for causing you so much pain my son. I just hope you can forgive me."

"Father," Leo began. "I.." But just then they arrived at the lair. Before they could exit the Shell Raiser the door flew opened and Jack and Hector were on the other side.

"Daddy!" the twins cried out, launching themselves at Will, who picked both the boys up and hugged them tight. "We missed you Daddy!" Jack cried out, hugging Will's neck tight.

"Well I missed you too boys," Will said with a laugh as he kissed his sons' heads and placed them back on the ground. Just then Elizabeth entered the garage, looking none to pleased.

"Boys!" the blonde headed women said sternly. "I though I told you to wait for Daddy in the living room!"

"Sorry Mommy," the twins said, looking at the ground in shame.

"Go to the living and wait," Elizabeth ordered, pointing to the other room. "I'll come get you when we're ready for you."

"Yes Mommy," the boys said, walking to the living room.

"Ugh boys," Elizabeth said, shaking her head. Then she turned to the group and said, "Alright who's first?"

"Donatello you go first," Shen said, looking at her second youngest son. "And no arguments," she said when Donnie began to protest. Letting out a sigh of defeat Donnie went into his lab with his family and friends right behind him.

TMNTTMNTTMNT

Meanwhile Casey had gone after Hun and his men. The dark headed teen had noticed the Purple Dragon leader trying to make his escape and he promptly went after him. "No escape this time you son of a bitch," Casey thought with a growl. "This time you're gonna pay for takin' my mom from me and Sara. And pay with blood." Just then Casey's arm began to throb painfully. "I ain't got time for pain," Casey grumbled. "I've got a murderin' bastard to take down!" With that Casey began to move in, even though deep down he knew it was a foolish thing to do.
