"Hi Julia," Mari said with a smile once her friend had picked up the phone.
"Hey, you're not in bed yet?" Julia asked her with a smile.
"No, Mom's letting me call before she and Dad tuck me in," Mari replied. "How is it being at home?"
"So nice!" Julia said eagerly. "But I miss the suite now." Something came to her and she asked, "Is that why you called?"
"Yeah, I couldn't help thinking about your book," Mari replied.
"Do you want me to read now?" Julia asked, hoping that wasn't the case.
"No, I'd rather read it when we're in the same room," Mari answered.
"Me too," Julia said in replied. "So are you going to look for eggs?"
"I have to, Dani wants to already, she's talking about it like crazy," Mari said in obvious amusement. She then said, "But I don't mind getting the eggs."
"Oh I know, I'm the same way, I really want to get them," Julia said. "And I'm excited for Josie."
"Has she been able to stand up yet?" Mari asked.
"No, she tried to again today but couldn't get her other leg up," Julia said with a sigh.
"Don't worry, she will soon," Mari said comfortingly. "Eliza did, didn't she? And so did Dani I know for sure."
"That's true," Julia said. "I just wish it didn't take so long."
"I know what you mean," Mari said knowingly. "Oh no," she said hearing footsteps outside her room. "I need to go. But I'll see you tomorrow, at eleven."
"Yep, I'll see you then," Julia told her. "Thanks for calling Mari."
"You're welcome, night!" the girl said.
"Night," Julia replied. Once her friend had hung up, she set aside her phone and looked down at her diary for a moment before she began to write.
8:25pm
I'm writing again in you Evangeline since I have the chance to. I don't have too, too much to write about really, but I have a little bit.
So once we were all here- when Alexis and Louis got here- we got to see the new pantry. Mom and Dad were first of course, and I could hear them and they were happy about it so I couldn't wait to see it. After Lizzy and I got to go in we were too since it's super big and it'll be easy to get stuff since Mom and Dad promised the stuff we grab will be on lower shelves. The walls are the same blue as the kitchen and there was a lot of spaces that they were talking about when me and Lizzy left the room. They decided to put pictures there, Mom's pictures she's taken at the Farmer's Market which will be cool since they're good pictures (of course).
After that we had dinner, pizza, which was delicious. And I loved the Mexican food we had but it was nice to get something different. Tomorrow's Easter and we're having lunch and dinner with everyone, but the grownups are all infuriatingly (I hope I spelled that word right!) quiet about it though I know they know what we'll have for both meals. I guess it'll be a surprise, but I wish they would tell me, I'm almost a teenager!
After we ate, we gave Josa a bath. Grandpapa did mostly, but AJ and Lizzy helped him out. Mom and Dad weren't in the kitchen with us, that's 'cause I know they were in their office checking on the stuff they're giving us tomorrow (keep that a secret, Lizzy still believes in the Easter Bunny). And I know they kissed too since Lizzy told me she saw them doing it when she went into their office. After Josa was with Mom and Dad in her room the rest of us went to the family room and played UNO and then played with Mom and Dad until Lizzy needed to go to bed and I came here to my room.
Before I could start writing to you Evangeline Mari called me since she missed us getting to talk in our room together. But we're both super happy being back in our rooms at home. We talked about Easter but that was about it, since her mom and dad were coming to tuck her in… I wish we could have talked for longer. And I wish tomorrow was Saturday and not Sunday. But I know we have to go to school and everything so I'll try and ask if she can spend the night next Saturday… hopefully she can!
Julia studied her diary before she finally shook her head and was about to dip her pen in the ink when her mother walked in, speaking to her as she was doing so.
"Are you almost finished sweetie?" Beckett asked her daughter.
"Yeah… I think I just need to finish my entry," Julia said after looking to her from her diary. "Hey Dad."
"Hey," Castle said before he and his wife went to sit down to wait for her to finish.
Turning back to her desktop, Julia then got a little more ink before she started a new paragraph and was writing hurriedly.
Mom and Dad are here now, so I'm going to stop since there really isn't much else to write about. But I promise I'll try to write to you tomorrow that way I can tell you how Easter goes!
Closing her diary and putting everything away, Julia stood up and turned before she paused for a moment, seeing her father was sitting in her armchair. "Is it comfortable?" she asked him with a smile.
"Very," Castle said, laughing as she shook her head before hugging him quickly. He watched her go over to her mother and he said, "Were you on the phone?"
"Yeah, Mari called me," Julia said. She saw the look her parents were exchanging, and she said, "You're not surprised?"
"No," Beckett said first. "Is she alright being home now?"
"Yeah, but we both miss the suite," Julia said, not surprised when her parents didn't look to be at that. She then said, "But we talked a little bit about Easter. She doesn't believe in the Easter Bunny anymore."
"Isn't she kind of young not to think that anymore?" Castle asked.
"She'll be eleven soon Dad," Julia said firmly.
"You didn't-" Castle started to say.
"Dad," Julia said simply.
Laughing for a moment Castle said, "You're getting more and more like your mom."
"You're lucky I know that's a compliment," Beckett said wryly. When their daughter put her arm around her shoulder she said, "What's on your mind?"
"Do you have everything ready for Josa's birthday?" Julia asked both her parents.
With a smile Castle said, "We do, do you?"
Making a playful face at her father Julia said, "I do, I just got her one present." She then became thoughtful and said, "I just hope she'll like it."
"I'm sure she will," Beckett reassured her.
"What about San Francisco?" Julia asked suddenly.
"What about it?" Castle said, slightly taken aback by how fast she'd spoken.
"What're you going to do besides see the houses?" Julia asked them. "Or are you gonna wait and see?"
"We talked about it already," Beckett said. "We're going to try and see some things but of course everything's up in the air," she then said. "But we'll try to go to Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Park-"
"Oh good," Julia said, interrupting her with a smile. "I was hoping you'd go there since we went a lot. Where else?"
"Chinatown and City Hall," Beckett said before the girl's smile got even wider at that. "Were you going to suggest those?"
"Yeah, especially the last one," Julia replied, nodding her head. "Good thing you can go to the spot where you got married."
"That's the plan," Castle said, smiling when Julia started to laugh.
"What're you going to do in Mill Valley?" she then asked them.
"After we see the house we'll walk around," Beckett replied. "I'll probably take pictures of the homes."
"Oh! I just remembered, what about the club?" Julia said.
"We're going to visit the beach where it was when we go to Golden Gate Park," Castle said first.
"And if you're wondering about the fire hydrant that saved part of the city and that they paint gold we'll try and stop by it," Beckett added.
Thinking over what she remembered about their past life, Julia said, "Is that it?"
"I think it is," Beckett said. "But if we remember…"
"What?" Castle asked in surprise as his wife had trailed off and then was looking at him.
"Would you want to go to the Presidio?" Beckett asked him.
"We'll see it driving to and from Mill Valley," Castle said as he was shaking his head. He wasn't surprised to see the questioning look on Julia's face and he explained to her, "I'm thinking of the fact that I was there to work during the war; away from you guys."
"Especially Mom?" Julia asked her.
"Especially Mom," Castle replied seriously. He then smiled and told her, "But again, we'll see it and you guys will see it to once we go."
Nodding Julia then asked, "How much longer until I need to go to bed?"
"I think you're good," Castle said, looking at his watch. "You have about twenty minutes now."
"What did you want to do?" Beckett asked, watching her.
"I don't know," Julia said honestly. "Play cards?"
"I was hoping you'd say that," Castle said then, grabbing for his phone.
"You want to play cards on the phone?" Julia asked in surprise.
"Y- no," Castle started to say before he realized what she'd asked. "Remember our plans to put pictures in the pantry?"
"You want to pick them now?" Beckett asked him. When her husband tapped the end of his nose she rolled her eyes and said, "If it's okay with you sweetie."
Julia nodded before she watched as her father was going over his phone. She smiled and then said, "You have them already?"
"I have options," Castle said. "I'd like you both to decide and if you don't like what's here then pick other ones."
"What about Lizzy," Julia said, thinking of her sister. "And 'lexis?"
"We'll show them to get a final opinion," Castle told her. "This is just the first stage," he said as he handed Julia his phone.
Unable to help giggling softly, the girl was soon scrolling through the pictures and Julia smiled before she said to her mother, "This is going to be really hard to pick."
"You think?" Beckett asked, surprised when her daughter handed her Castle's phone. She went through the pictures and then saw what her daughter meant since they were of fruits, vegetables and even some breads at the Farmer's Markets they'd gone to over the years. "I see what you mean," she finally said. She looked up at her husband and said, "I think you should decide first love," giving him his phone.
Castle hesitated but took the phone before his wife could say anything and then started to look through the pictures. "I think we could split them up," he said, looking up after he'd spoken and seeing that his wife and their daughter were looking at him in obvious confusion. He smiled and then said, "Sorry, I noticed we had eight spaces for pictures and we can divide that by four different categories."
"Fruits… veggies… what're the other two?" Julia asked him after listing them out loud.
"Breads and miscellaneous," Castle commented, smiling at his wife.
"What's miscellaneous?" Julia asked then.
"I think your dad's talking about the picture of the honey I took, along with the pastries," Beckett said with a smile at her and then her husband.
"Oh… that honey one should be there," Julia said eagerly, taking the phone back from her father. "And then this one with all the French pastries," she added, showing her parents the picture she was talking about.
"Oh yeah, I agree, it's a good one," Castle said. "The honey one too," he said to his wife before she nodded.
"Thank you love," Beckett said. "But why don't you sit over here; you're going to exhaust Julia trying to pass the phone back and forth."
Quickly getting up, Castle went to the bed and sat on the edge in between his wife and their daughter before he said, "For the veggies I like this one."
"Oh yeah, that was a good one," Julia said first, smiling at the picture with Swiss chard, Romanesco and different cabbages and lettuces. "And then I like this one 'cause it's like that first one is summer and this one's fall."
"I don't mind that one," Beckett said as it was a photo of rainbow carrots, several squashes, Brussel sprouts and parsnips.
"Should we do the same thing with fruits?" Castle asked his daughter.
Nodding her head rapidly Julia watched her father then getting the pictures and she looked at the summer fruits of berries, peaches, watermelons, mangoes and pineapples. "Yep, that's the perfect one since you got some of them cut open Mom," she said, smiling at her mother.
"Thanks," Beckett said. "And fall fruits?" she asked her husband as he'd been looking at his phone while they'd been talking.
"This one," Castle replied, showing them the picture he'd found she'd taken. It had several different apples, grapes, pomegranates and pears and he said, "More of them cut open."
"That's because they had Pink Ladies," Beckett said in amusement.
"What about the breads now? There's no fall or summer huh?" Julia asked her father, speaking excitedly at first before she became a little disappointed.
"No, but I think you should choose this one love," Castle told his wife, giving her the phone.
With Julia looking over her arm Beckett was sliding through the pictures before she studied the two she had seen and showed them to her husband and their daughter.
"I like them both," Julia said first. "They're different."
"That Celtic baker and the one from Sicily?" Castle asked her. When she nodded, he smiled and said, "That's why they look great."
"Okay, now we have that all set…" Beckett started to say.
"Oh… don't say it's time for bed," Julia protested as her parents were getting up.
"We don't need to," Castle commented as he was pulling the covers down. "But we can say you need to get in."
Beckett couldn't help laughing as Julia wrinkled her nose at her father before she was going to Macca and JoJo to say goodnight to them. "I know you don't want to go to bed yet, but you really need to," she said as Julia finally went over to the bed to get onto it.
"Do you need to put everything out for tomorrow?" Julia asked. When her father came over to share a hug with her, she smiled and then kissed his cheek saying, "I love you Dad, and I'm glad you want to use Mom's pictures."
"There aren't any other pictures," Castle said with a nod. "And I love you too sweetheart. Try not to get up too early."
Julia laughed before she was hugging her father tightly and they shared a kiss, watching him standing up then to let her mother sit where he'd been. "Hey Mom," she said as Beckett was sitting.
"Yes sweetie?" she asked her daughter, sitting down next to her.
"Will I ever be able to help you set stuff out?" Julia asked. "For Easter and Christmas?"
"She could," Castle said quickly when his wife was looking at him suddenly. "When she's older though."
"A lot older," Beckett said, turning to their daughter with a smile.
"How much older?" Julia asked before she laughed as her mother tickled her gently.
"I think when you're sixteen," Beckett said.
"Sixteen?" Julia said in surprise and with a frown.
"What were you thinking of?" Beckett asked in amusement.
"Fourteen at least, I'll be able to go to bed later right?" Julia asked them both.
"Yes," Beckett said, glancing at her husband.
"It's not that young," Castle commented. "And really it doesn't take that long love."
"Okay," Beckett said with a slight sigh. "But once you're fourteen."
Julia, though she needed to go to bed, was about to ask when Easter would be in two years when her father was speaking first.
"That Easter's going to be on April ninth, so you'll definitely be fourteen by then," Castle said, looking over from his phone.
"Awesome," Julia said with a smile.
"Hold on," Castle and Beckett said at the same time as they exchanged a look.
"I know, I just set out the stuff and not the eggs," Julia said once she'd giggled at that. "And the gifts at Christmas that aren't mine."
"Smart girl," Castle commented to his wife.
"Yes," Beckett said with a laugh before she was turning to Julia. "Until then sweetie, I love you."
"Love you too Mom," Julia replied with a smile. She hugged her tightly and then said, "Thank you for letting us go… sorry about saying it again."
"No, it's nice of you to say," Beckett said before she looked at her husband.
"I don't mind, you needed to approve of it Kate," Castle said, knowing that for what it was meant to convey. "Since I agreed immediately."
Beckett smiled briefly at him before she turned to their second youngest saying, "Goodnight Julia, sweet dreams."
"Night Mom," the girl said with a smile. Julia shared a kiss with her and then laid down before her mother tucked her in. She watched her parents walk to the hall; turning off the light as they went; and she smiled as they waved to her before they were leaving. She looked up at the ceiling, trying not to think of how she'd gotten used to having Mari sharing the bed, and turned towards the wall to imagine her sister's birthday party to try and fall asleep.
When they'd left their second oldest, Castle and Beckett checked on Josie and then Eliza to make sure they were asleep. Satisfied they went downstairs where they met Alexis and Louis in the family room.
"They're asleep?" the former asked.
"Julia might not be yet," Castle said.
"But the other two are so we can start," Beckett told them before her husband went with Louis to get everything they needed to set up. She turned to Alexis and said with a smile, "How was everything at the house?"
"Townhouse," Alexis told her. "We're calling it that now since we don't really want to stay attached to it. Oh, and we talked about the rooms at our house."
"Colors?" Beckett asked.
Nodding Alexis said, "We decided to go with softer colors… not just pastels but nothing so vibrant as the red we have or that dark blue."
"Interesting," Beckett replied before she took her daughter's arm gently and led her over to the door to the backyard. "What about the house itself?"
"We're still not sure," Alexis said, smiling at her fiancé as he was walking up to them with her father. "But we're going to choose a blue shade."
"Likely a lighter one, perhaps light blue gray," Louis commented before they were stepping outside. He looked around and then said, "How are we going to hide these?"
"We don't really have any method," Castle said. "Just hide them but don't be vindictive about it."
Beckett smiled as Louis laughed before they were splitting up and going around the yard to start leaving the eggs in the best spots they could find. She was the first to finish and she said to her husband as he walked up to her when he finished, "I'll head in and get the baskets ready."
"I'll bring them in once they're finished," Castle said with a nod. He wanted to kiss her, but he knew their daughter and Louis would see them and he watched her go inside instead.
Walking to the kitchen, Beckett set down the three bags on the kitchen table, smiling as the three bags matched. She and Castle had let their middle daughters pick the three bags and she'd been surprised Julia had gone for it as the pattern was flowers along with rabbits on them. She knew her second oldest had liked the linings on the inside of each bag and was the reason the girl had picked them.
Shaking herself of her thoughts, Beckett turned her attention to putting the stuffed rabbit for Josie in the bag with the lilac polka-dot lining. In Eliza's pink floral patterned lining she sat a stuffed chick and in the last one, blue polka-dot lining, she set a coloring book of Easter egg patterns around the world for Julia. She had just finished when she heard the door opening and she looked down the hall to see it was the other three before she said, "I have everything set."
"What about the candy bars?" Castle asked once he'd looked inside the bags.
"I don't know," Beckett said hesitatingly.
"Just for Eliza and Julia," Castle told his daughter and fiancé. "And they're small too love."
"Okay, okay," Beckett said, watching him going into the kitchen. She looked at the other two and said, "I couldn't stop him."
"I thought you said it was just for Eliza and Julia?" Alexis said with a frown as she saw her father walking over with three candy bars.
"I did, heads up," Castle said, tossing over the third one after the first two were in the bags.
"Oh, thank you," Louis said gracefully as he'd been given a Flake candy bar. "One of my favorites."
"Alexis told us," Beckett said with a smile. "Go ahead to bed, we're going to get some water and go up ourselves."
"Will the girls be up that early?" Louis asked.
"We don't know, so we're just being careful," Castle replied.
"Okay, goodnight," Alexis said with a smile. She hugged her parents before she and her fiancé went up once he'd said the same to them. She glanced at them after they were down the hall and smiled seeing they were talking standing close. When her fiancé touched her arm, she turned her attention to the stairs, and she told him what she and her mother had been talking about as they'd been waiting for him and her father.
"They're upstairs," Castle said when he and Beckett waited silently to make sure of that. With that he followed his wife to the kitchen and took out a small basket which had British candies and American candies; the favorites for their oldest and her fiancé. "Okay," he said after they'd set it on the table as well.
"Yeah, hopefully they'll be okay with that," Beckett said.
"If you're worried about that much sweets, Alexis will portion it," Castle told her with a smile.
"Then she's turned into me," Beckett commented. She was startled when her husband nodded, and she was about to speak when he did first.
"Like mother, like daughter," Castle replied with a shrug.
Rolling her eyes and smiling, Beckett reached over to him and took his hand before telling him, "Come on or else we will be tired whether or not they get up early."
"Yeah, I'm following," Castle said. Smiling at his wife, he squeezed her hand and as he said was following her over to the stairs. They went up to their room and he closed the door as she headed further inside before he called to her and she spoke without turning to him.
"Just close it, don't lock it," Beckett said before she disappeared into the closet.
Castle nodded and followed her before saying, "Are you sure we can't give Josie anything?"
Glancing at her husband as she was changing Beckett said, "What did you give Alexis when she was eleven months?"
"Almost a year," Castle told her. She was looking at him after she'd pulled on her pajama shirt and he said quickly, "Ice cream with some chocolate syrup and whipped cream but very little."
"What flavor?" Beckett asked since they were going to have ice cream the next day.
"Strawberry," Castle told her as he was grabbing his pajama shirt.
"Okay, there's your answer," Beckett said with a smile, changing the rest of her clothes. Before her husband could say anything she then went out to the bathroom and said to him when he followed her, "Okay?"
"Yes… wait were you looking at me?" Castle asked her before he realized why she'd said that.
"Again, I get the chance to stare at you," Beckett replied. She looked back at her sink she was in front of and washed her makeup off before she said, "But…"
"I know, nothing tonight," Castle said. "Tomorrow?"
Beckett couldn't help laughing at how slow her husband had said that word and she then told him, "We'll see… though honestly we might need to."
Nodding his head rapidly Castle turned his attention back to his toothbrush and brushed his teeth while his wife was. He was idly thinking as they were doing that before something struck him and he spat out his toothpaste with a muttered, "Shoot."
"What happened?" Beckett asked him, startled as she had finished herself.
"I was planning on writing them a note," Castle replied in frustration after he'd rinsed his mouth. "From the Easter Bunny."
"You can still write it," Beckett told him as they walked out into the bedroom.
"Yeah, I will," Castle said with a nod. He then turned his attention to their desk they had in their room; a regular table they'd found at one of the furniture shops downtown that mixed antiques with modern pieces. They used it as a desk though not that often and he was glad they had it since he could start his note to the girls quickly once he was sitting in the chair they had with the table.
"All set?" Beckett asked with a smile, watching him.
"Yeah," Castle replied. "Really hard to remember not to put my handwriting," he added as he took a stamp he had for Easter and stamped a bunny print on the outside of the paper he'd folded. "I'll be right back," he told his wife after kissing her cheek.
Watching him go, Beckett went over to the bed and pulled down the covers before she got on the mattress. She hesitated for a moment before she was laying down and then closed her eyes, intending to rest them before she was suddenly jumping as her husband was touching her arm.
"Hey, it's just me love," Castle told her gently, smiling at her. "You were asleep?"
"Yeah, I didn't think I would be," Beckett said with a sigh as she sat up. "I'm more tired than I thought."
"We did a lot today," Castle said.
Nodding Beckett ran her hands over her hair before she said, "Got everything set?"
"Yeah, hopefully Eliza will read it," Castle commented as he took his wife's robe she'd taken off. He set it on the table behind their bed and then said, "I put her name first in the list of their names."
Laughing softly Beckett shook her head and watched him removing his robe before he joined her on the bed. Before he could lay down she was kissing him, wrapping her arms tightly around him as he held her against him. That went on for some time as they were passionate, and she was breathless when they parted, and he was nuzzling at her jaw and neck.
"Could we…" Castle started to say before he trailed off.
"Could we what?" Beckett asked, a little surprised that he was going to mention doing something.
"No, never mind," Castle said. "I forgot about tomorrow."
"I said we could try tomorrow night," Beckett told him.
Looking at her in surprise, Castle then shook his head and told her, "Not that, I was going to ask if we could get rid of our pajamas."
Beckett was quiet for a moment before she then said, "I would like to, but I think it'd be better if we left them on. They might come to get us."
"It's what I thought," Castle replied. He then leaned over and kissed her gently before he started to pull away. When she kissed him again, he had his hands on her back, holding her to him before they were parting again. "We should stop," he said though he didn't want to.
"I know," Beckett said, sighing as they let each other go. "Remember that I mentioned we might need tomorrow."
"I remember," Castle said with a smile as he moved to lay down first. He took her into his arms once she was laying against his side and he kissed her before he said, "But this is nice too."
Beckett laughed softly and said, "You're an interesting man love."
"You enjoy this too," Castle said with a smile.
"Yes but remember the majority of the men I've known…" Beckett said.
"Are you wearing a dress tomorrow?" Castle asked.
With a slight smile on her face, not surprised he was changing the subject, Beckett said, "I am, I figured you'd want me to." When her husband started to sit up, she stopped him and then said, "Easy, I'm kidding. The decision was mine and I don't mind you ogling my legs."
Groaning and lying flat on his back Castle said, "You're going to kill me love."
"I know, but you enjoy me doing that," Beckett said. She laughed briefly when he nodded rapidly and then said, "But yes, I'll be wearing a sundress tomorrow. I just hope it will be a little warmer while we're outside."
"Me too," Castle replied. "I was going to say that even if you wore leggings or something you'd be stunning."
"I had a feeling you'd say that," Beckett said, lying next to him. She pressed close against him and murmured, "I'll want you tomorrow."
"Goddess," Castle breathed to her before he leaned down so they could kiss. It was intense and he felt his heart beat rapidly in response to her lips before he slipped his tongue into her mouth gently. They were rubbing against one another gently before she pulled away from him. They were breathing rapidly as they pressed their foreheads together and he whispered, "I love you Kate."
"I love you Rick," Beckett replied before she kissed him that time. Their lips were pressed close together and when they finally stopped, she smiled and said, "We'll need it."
"Each other," Castle quickly said.
"Sap," Beckett told him teasingly. She wasn't surprised when her husband was kissing her then and she responded to him before they were slowly pulling away when they needed to breathe.
"I can't wait to go there too," Castle breathed, knowing she would realize he was talking about San Francisco.
Nodding, Beckett took her husband's kiss and they were busy with that for some time before they finally parted, and she murmured his name.
"I think we should get to sleep," Castle said, staring into her eyes and finding it increasingly difficult to resist her.
"Right," Beckett said. When he studied her, she told him, "I can get the same way you do."
"Yeah, true," Castle replied quickly as he knew that she was serious. "Okay, let me just… get my glasses off…"
Beckett smiled as she watched him taking them off and setting them on his nightstand before she brushed her lips to his cheek telling him, "Should I take away my request?"
"No," Castle told her firmly as he turned back to her and was laying down. He held her tightly against his side and told her, "It'll be… amazing once we're together… in San Francisco. I want to make love to you there… desperately," waiting for her to make a comment about that.
"So do I," Beckett said, smiling. "Okay, we'll have one more kiss and then say goodnight."
"Yes," Castle told her, smiling when she laughed at that. He leaned over to her before they were kissing, far more sensuous than he'd been planning, but he couldn't stop himself. Feeling the way she was responding to him he was aware she was fine with that and they let their tongues tangle together for a while before they had to stop to breathe. "Night my love," he told her, murmuring into her hair.
"Night Rick," Beckett told him with a smile before they were settling down. Wrapped up in his arms she was content, glad to be home and in their bed though she couldn't help wishing they could have been intimate in some way. Doing her best to recall the girls she was falling asleep thinking of what they had coming up for them and their family. But she couldn't forget her husband and soon found her dreams were of him as they slept wrapped up in one another's arms into the morning of the next day.
