Ladybug swings towards the Eiffel Tower, which has crumbled and splintered. Bits and pieces of the magnificent work of art have fallen into the Seine and the multiple chasms, leaving a very depressing sight for the superheroine as the metal burns up in the lava or sinks into the water. Cat Noir and the others are fighting Soothsayer, who has put up quite the effort.
Mayura had created a giant tiger sentimonster to attack Soothsayer, but he merely disintegrates it with his powers. Terrapin hammers the villain with his shield, but the villain knocks him back. He knocks over King Monkey and Pegasus in a clean, bowling-like move.
Ladybug watches as Soothsayer knocks Shenlong back with a gust of wind. She almost falls into a fiery abyss. "No!" Ladybug says and catches her mother with her yoyo.
"Thank you, Ma— I mean, Ladybug," Shenlong says, catching herself from making a rookie mistake. "But these suits are fire proof. Problem is getting out of the chasm. Took Mayura a while to rejoin the battle."
"Regroup!" Ladybug calls out. The rest of the team falls back and joins her. "Lucky Charm!" Ladybug calls on her powers. A small snake charm attached to a chain is created. "All right, Ladybug. Think. Think!" She looks around for ideas, but finds none. She wracks her brain for anything that might work, but nothing comes. "I can't think, I can't stop Soothsayer, I can't do it!" Ladybug says, spiraling into a panic attack as her hands start to feel numb.
"You can do it!" Rena Rouge says.
"Nothing's coming!" Ladybug whimpers. "I don't have any ideas."
"Think, Ladybug, think!" Terrapin says. "You got this!"
"Oh, shoot, the plan worked too well," Mayura mumbles.
"I can't do this," Ladybug says shakily.
Another earthquake shakes Paris. Nathaniel gets trapped in his little cave. Lava starts to seep in, creeping towards him. As it moves closer and closer, Nathaniel calls out to Alix, who he thinks is listening. "Alix! I think you can hear me, but don't save me! Focus on saving the world!"
"No, Nath, no!" Alix cries as she watches her best friend die. She looks away from the picture and covers her ears to keep from hearing him. "Don't go after him, don't go after him!" she thinks to herself.
She turns away from the picture, sobbing. She wills herself not to save him, no matter how much his screams pained her. Ladybug would fix everything. She saw it in the future. Nathaniel would live. She just had to resist the temptation to save her friends.
Marc and Kagami huddle together near the debris as the earthquake hits. They had begun to play a game of guess-the-tune-I'm-humming and what-jobs-will-succeed-after-this to pass time while waiting for the villain to be defeated.
"I think therapists and psychologists will have a field day after this is over," Kagami says, chuckling. "We're certainly going to need it after all the death and earthquakes and lava. Alya will need it, certainly. She might have separation anxiety about Nino."
"Yeah," Marc chuckles. "Movie directors and writers will love this, too. It will definitely provide writing material and movie ideas."
"Are you speaking from experience?" Kagami asks.
"I guess you could say that," Marc says.
"What kind of story would you write about this event?" Kagami asks.
"Maybe one about friendship," Marc says. "Because there's no way we won't be good friends after this."
"Yeah," Kagami agrees.
The ground starts to crumble around the chasm near them. They don't try to escape it. It's pointless. In the heat of the moment, Marc lifts Kagami's chin and kisses her passionately. She kisses him back. "I might just write a love story," he whispers. A silent agreement passes between them that they would be together when Soothsayer was defeated.
The ground beneath them crumbles and they fall into the chasm.
"Ladybug! Listen to me!" Cat Noir says as he grips her shoulders. "You've never failed and you will not fail!"
"There's a first time for everything," Ladybug whispers as she tries to feel her hands.
"Come on, you've defeated the best supervillains, stop doubting yourself," Queen Bee says, encouraging Ladybug in her own way.
"We got to hurry," Pegasus says. "Soothsayer is coming back!"
"Do you really think Bunnix would let everything play out and let you fail?" Cat Noir asks. "If you failed, she would've gone back in time and this wouldn't be happening! You're Ladybug for a reason, Master Fu would never have given you the Miraculous if he thought you couldn't handle it."
"You're right," Ladybug nods, taking a deep breath. "I think I know what to do."
"What's the plan?" Terrapin asks.
"Terrapin, create a shelter big enough for us to fight in," Ladybug instructs her father. "As big as possible! I've never seen it done and it's your first time using a Miraculous, but I know you can do it!"
"You got it!" he says, focusing on creating a large shelter.
"Mayura," Ladybug says, handing the snake charm to her, "we need a sentimonster that can keep the shelter from falling into an abyss if need be."
"Done," Mayura says, and creates a giant serpent.
The other superheroes rush in to fight the villain after hearing the plan. Cat Noir and Shenlong duel with their sword and staff. Soothsayer is a worthy opponent with his scepter. King Monkey wields his staff and acrobatic moves to tilt the odds in their favor.
"One of you heroes will shatter!" Soothsayer predicts and points his scepter at Ladybug.
"No!" Shenlong shouts and follows her motherly instincts to step in front of the staff. She shatters into pieces like glass.
"No!" Ladybug cries.
Terrapin rams into Soothsayer with his shield, mad as a hornet.
"Oh, you don't like it when your comrades die?" Soothsayer laughs. "Viperion will die."
Viperion gasps and turns into dust.
Another earthquake hits Paris, which is overflowing with lava. The serpent sentimonster tries to steady the shelter as an abyss opens up beneath it. The superheroes and villains stumble and fall over.
Amongst the commotion, Rena Rouge creates an illusion that Ladybug was injured and vulnerable. Soothsayer takes the bait and attacks her. The illusion disappears and reveals Pegasus' portal. He is teleported to King Monkey, who disrupts the villains powers. "No!" Soothsayer shouts, enraged.
"You need to calm down!" Queen Bee says, stinging him.
"Cataclysm!" Cat Noir calls on his powers and destroys the staff. The akuma flies out and the remaining superheroes breathe a sigh of relief.
"No more evil doing for you, nasty akuma," Ladybug says, swinging her yoyo around. "Time to de-evilize!" She captures the akuma and purifies it. "Gotcha! Bye, bye, little butterfly."
Mayura hands back the snake charm and the sentimonster disappears. Ladybug throws it in the air. "Miraculous ladybug!" the charm turns into magical ladybugs that fly around Paris, fixing everything. The buildings are repaired and the lava and chasms are removed. The students and civilians reappear, cheering as they realize Ladybug won. All injuries are healed. Juleka and her mother hug, happy to be alive. Mylene and Ivan hug before being tackled by their friends. Kagami reappears before tumbling over on top of Marc. "Oh, I see how our relationship is going to go," Marc mockingly huffs. "You're going to be pushing me around, huh?" earning himself a playful shove in the shoulder.
Shenlong reappears and is immediately kissed by Terrapin. "Tom," she hisses, giggling. He chuckles and pulls her and Ladybug in for a crushing hug. "Come on! Join the group hug!"
King Monkey and Cat Noir tackle the three, while Rena Rouge, Pegasus, and Viperion follow. Queen Bee hangs back until Ladybug beckons for her to join. Bunnix appears and tackles them, laughing.
The group draws back and Ladybug looks around. "Where's Mayura?"
"She can't stick around," Rena Rouge says. "We'd capture her."
"We'll stop her and Hawk Moth," Cat Noir says. Then he kisses her.
After kissing him back, Ladybug protests. "Cat! What was that for?"
He leans close to her ear and whispers, "I'm Adrien Agreste, your crush."
Ladybug opens her mouth and a strange squeak comes out. "WhAt?!"
Cat Noir starts laughing very hard, as do the rest of the group. "You have gotta be kidding me! All our crazy shenanigans and it turns out you're you!" Ladybug says, face palming. She can't believe who her cat in shining armor turned out to be.
"Mint and blackberry, what a lovely combination!" Andre says as he hands Adrien and Marinette their ice cream.
"Thank you, Andre," the two say. They walk over the edge of the Seine and sit down next to Alya and Nino. All of the friends were there eating Andre's ice cream.
The Soothsayer episode had brought about a couple changes in the dynamics of the group. Adrien and Marinette had finally gotten together after finding out about their secret personas. They were still laughing about the craziness of the situation. Marinette was still dealing with anxiety and self-doubt, but with Adrien and her parents she was working on it. Her father was trying not to brag about his only daughter being a superhero while her mother was worrying about her during every akuma attack. Adrien didn't think it would be a good idea to tell his father, yet. He didn't want his freedom as Cat Noir to be taken away.
Chloe was very irritated when she found out that Marinette Dupain-Cheng weaseled her way into Adrikins arms. She was still sulking and ranting to Sabrina about how utterly ridiculous it was. Adrien and Marinette were working together to try to help her reform, seeing as how helpful she was as Queen Bee.
Alya's change wasn't the best. She was having anxiety and flashbacks to Nino's death and was still paranoid that it would happen again, despite Nino's reassurances. They were both getting therapy for their experiences.
Kagami was not upset at all when Adrien announced that him and Marinette were dating. Her and Marc got together without any problems, and their flirting to roasting ratio was pretty equal. The two were constantly teasing each other and goofing off. Their relationship seemed to help both of them grow. Marc wasn't as stuttering and nervous anymore and Kagami was loosening up in social situations because of Marc-ironically. Now that she was more comfortable around other people, it had become a running gag in the group to do a "Kagami smile," which she was thoroughly annoyed about. Marc was the only one who could get away with it, though, because she found his mimicry of her adorable.
Nathaniel was not at all annoyed when Marc left him, and was quite happy to stay friends. Him and Alix were officially together, but the only thing that changed in their relationship was that they would occasionally kiss. The two were enjoying hiding their relationship from Alix's older brother, even though he already knew.
Alix and Kagami had become good friends and made it a joke to stalk their boyfriends to "keep an eye on their relationship." They trusted the guys, but found the joke hilarious and all four would play around, with the guys leaving fake hints that something was going on. Once confronted, though, Marc and Nathaniel couldn't keep a straight face. Kagami turned out to be quite the prankster once Alix and Kim provoked her. She had already had a major prank war with Kim in less than three days of the Soothsayer incident and won. Kim and Alix had officially integrated Kagami into the "Athlete's club" despite her protests.
Luka wasn't too disappointed when Adrien and Marinette got together. The whole group felt sorry for him, and were trying to find the perfect girl for their "wonderful older brother." They were convinced, though, that no girl would ever deserve him.
The whole group, minus Chloe, Lila, and Sabrina, had found out about Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities. Alya was quite shocked to find out that her best friend was her favorite superheroine. Everyone accepted it and wasn't too surprised. Those who didn't hold a Miraculous kept slyly hinting that they were ready for one, though. Through Adrien, Marinette, Kagami, Marc, and Luka the rest of the class was starting to figure out Lila's lies. Alya felt very guilty that she didn't stand completely by her best friend, as did Nino.
The whole group was trying to locate and track down Hawk Moth and Mayura, but so far hadn't had any leads. But Marinette was very happy that she had support and help in her fight against Hawk Moth.
Things were finally looking out for the better.
