"I understand," Robin said. She was barely stiff. Her hands were folded carefully on top of the table between her and Nami, and she was sitting with a straight back.

"Good," Nami said, finding herself relaxing.

She had finally made her choice. Robin would stop sending letters to the other kings. The risk of her releasing critical information was too high.

They would know she had control of Robin anyway - there was a chance that they wouldn't believe her, but Nami could not let them know even an iota of what was happening in the city. The information coming in would also slow, but she needed to protect the people first and foremost.

"What ... about Zoro?" The High Elf looked at her, and Nami saw where the tightness was coming from.

"He'll stay as captain ... after all, you're sending one last letter out." Nami slid a piece of paper to her. "I will watch you sign and send it off."

Robin slowly turned it around to read from a distance, and she winced.

This letter is to inform the monarchs of the kingdoms of Goa, Jaya, Alabasta, and Dressrosa that I, Robin of House Nico, do surrender to King Luffy of Ruskaina and Queen Nami of Germa.

By their grace, I will be true and faithful and love all which they love and shun all which they shun, according to the laws of their people and the order of the world. Nor will I ever with intent or action, through word or deed, do anything which is abhorrent to them.

After a moment, Robin drew a deep breath, "I see. Even without my signature, this is rather damning. Should Ruskaina fall, they will have my head as well. So Zoro will do well to protect me." Her eyes looked up at Nami's, "You grew up."

"With great pain," Nami whispered. "I just hope he loves you too much to sacrifice you and the baby."

"How ... did you know?"

Nami raised her head, and murmured, "After so long of looking for the signs in myself, a little bump is easy to see. Congratulations, Lady Robin. You will stay as comfortable as you have been, but this is your last letter."

Her face caved then, and Robin bowed her head, tears hitting the table.

It burned.

She hated it. She despised feeling it, but Nami couldn't help it.

Jealousy burned in her.

Shoulders shaking, Nami pressed her face into the pillow and sobbed. She knew it to be irrational the moment she felt the tears, but years of feeling useless were piling up on her. She was happy for Robin - she was - but the envy was white-hot inside.

Punching the pillow, Nami sat up and tried to wipe the tears away angrily.

"Damn it ...! Damn it!" She said, letting her tongue touch words she hadn't said in years. "What's wrong with me!?"

"Nami ..."

Gasping, she looked over her shoulder, and the tears overflowed once again. Luffy ran into the room, climbing into the bed behind her to pull her against his chest.

Nami clutched to him before it dawned on her. She tossed his cloak off, kissing over his bare, broad chest.

He gasped, looking down in surprise, "Nami? What're-?"

She kissed him, pressing his back onto the bed. He accepted the kisses readily enough, and he panted as she leaned over him, starting to pull his trousers down. Luffy grabbed her wrists, cherry red as he stared down at her. Nami bit her lip, looking back pleadingly.

"Please ..."

"Why're you crying ...?" He seemed to gain a hold of himself then.

Nami bit her lip, ceasing in tugging on his pants, "Lady Robin is pregnant ..."

"Uh, good for her?" Luffy just watched her with confused eyes, "Then why ..." he glanced down at what she had been just trying to do, and he flushed, "You wanna make a baby now!?"

She bit her lip, and she pulled her hands back, covering her face in shame. Nami groaned, "I'm jealous ..." Beginning to shake again, Nami moaned as tears streamed down her cheeks once more, "Why do they get a baby, and I'm ...!? I'm still empty!"

Abruptly, strong arms yanked her down into his chest, and she gasped. He said, "We're not making our baby when you feel like that! I'm not making our baby out of jealousy!"

Nami peered up at him, trembling, "I'm sorry ..."

"Don't be ..." he cupped her cheeks, his lips touching hers as he whispered, hypnotic, "If you're sad, I'll hold you."

He nuzzled into her neck and shoulder, and she sighed, closing her eyes. She wasn't completely better yet, but in his embrace, she felt some emptiness leave her.

"You really surprised me though," she blushed as his breath tickled her hair.

"My lord ...?"

"Do you like being on top?"

Her eyes sprang open wide, and she tried to push away with a hot face, "I - I can't be on - on top! That's not how it works!"

Luffy gaped at her before he burst out laughing.

She smacked his chest, "Don't laugh at me! What's so funny!?"

"You just hate it when I'm over you though!" Snickering, Luffy said, "You almost always push me away ..." He watched her stare at him in astonishment before he said, "Is that how Sanji did it?"

Her breath left her, and she shifted nervously, looking away from him as she flushed hotter, "I - I don't like talking ... about it ..." The nightly visits she had almost forgotten about returned in full force. He had climbed on top of her and ripped inside of her body ...

His hand gently touched her arm, "I know ... but I want to do it better." He kissed her hand before sitting up with a grin, "And I dunno why you think you can't be on top. You can if you want. I know you liked squeezing it out of me like that earlier. You can be on your knees too," he licked his lips at that, and Nami felt faint.

"I - I don't want to talk about it!"

He grasped her hips, pulling her back down, and making her squeal.

"Well, I'm not doing anything else tonight! So I'm talking about it instead," he laughed, kissing in circles around her face.

"You ... you villain ..."

"I could bend you over the bed ..." his voice grew husky. "I want to pick you up and push you against a wall ... I can't wait until you climb onto my lap though."

"I'm not doing that! That's not how it's happening!" She flushed.

Grinning devilishly, he said, "So what were you about to do?"

Nami's eyes widened, breathing in sharply, "I - I was going to - to make your manhood stand, and ..."

"Were you going to sit on it?"

Groaning, she covered her face again, feeling dizzy. She pouted at him after regaining some of her senses, "If you're trying to make me excited, then - then just do it already ..."

"No," Luffy said flatly.

She glowered slightly at him before she found herself smiling. Leaning in, she kissed him softly, and said, "You're making me wait now?"

He huffed, stroking her hair back, "I just don't think you should regret this."

Nami gazed at him evenly, biting her lip before she said, "Even if you didn't stop me ... I don't think I would."

His brows perked up slightly as his eyes widened before he smiled, "I'm still not doing it."

She pouted and pressed a pillow into his face. When he struggled, Nami turned to climb out of the bed, but gasped as his arms wrapped around her waist, "Luffy!"

His hand cupped her lower belly, and Nami went completely still, eyes dilating. She bit her lip, fidgeting on the edge of the bed. Luffy stroked over her stomach, and Nami swallowed nothing. After a moment, he shifted to lean up against her back, his hand rubbing a small circle over her belly.

He whispered, "It's only been a few days ... How do you know you're not pregnant already?"

Nami's flushed straight to her roots, looking back at him with a pout, but she felt a spike of hope. Leaning back against him, Nami closed her eyes, placing her hand over his. She said softly, "I thought I couldn't have a baby for so long ... I was getting worried again. I guess I'm still afraid."

"If you're still up for it in the morning ..."

"That's not a morning activity!"

He laughed, tightening his arms around her, "Yeah, it is!"

Nami pouted up at him, sniffing, "Just because you're always up for it in the morning ..."

"Then in a few hours, it won't be today anymore," he snickered. "Can you wait until then instead?"

An explosion rocked the city, and the two stiffened against each other in surprise. Nami clutched him, but he pulled away in the next instant. By the time he reached the balcony, several other crashing sounds came from the city, and Nami rose to follow him. In the cool night, she gasped as she saw several buildings down below crushed by large stones. Even so far away, Nami could hear screaming.

"They brought in catapults!" She covered her mouth as she looked out.

Luffy clutched the balustrade, his wide, angry eyes staring toward the camped army. Whirling around, Luffy stormed through their chambers, grabbing his cloak on the way out, "They won't get away with this!"

When she followed, he only glanced at her. Nami quickened her step to keep up. When they reached the inner bailey, Jimbei was ordering the troops while a pause in the attack occurred. Likely, they were reloading the catapults.

"Jimbei! Get me to the wall!"

Nami grabbed his arm, "Us."

Luffy looked back at her, considering before he nodded, "Us."

Jimbei pointed at a stableboy - scared and quivering by the gate, "Get the king's horse!" To her, he bowed, "Your majesty, you should take turns! Both of you are a force to be reckoned with, but if both of you are tired, then you can't keep the city safe! Please, sit this one out!"

Biting her lip, Nami looked up at Luffy. Why did he have to be right? After a moment, she lowered her head, and she admitted, "It is easier to see farther in the day ..."

Luffy sighed, his face scrunching in annoyance, but he grunted, "Fine." Turning to face her, he grasped her cheeks, and she gasped as he kissed her, bending her back in front of all their servants and soldiers. Her cheeks lit up like a candle, but she clutched him. Parting, he said, "Get some sleep. It might not be today anymore when I get back."

Her eyes widened in exasperation, and she smacked his chest, "Scoundrel!"

Clearing his throat, Jimbei said, "Your majesty, we'll be burning the fields tonight."

Luffy paused to stare at Jimbei before he said, "No."

"Ah - my liege, we must! They will just feed our enemies! They need to burn or-"

"I'll get them back."

"What!? How!?"

The stableboy led Luffy's black stallion, Punching Roar, to his side, and he leaped onto his mount's saddle with ease. As he rode away, Nami watched him go, but she grabbed the stableboy's shoulder.

He looked up, wide-eyed, and she said, "Get my horse."

Atop the wall, Luffy peered between crenellations.

He had to agree with his fiance, unfortunately. He couldn't see far in the night either. All he could see were bobbing torches that moved back and forth between areas.

He had managed to fling one rock back on his way through the city once the next bombardment started, but, that was because he was close enough to use wind and stone magic, and even that was with great effort. That it was flying straight at him hadn't helped much. Behind him, a contingent of the citizens had followed him, taking up spears and swords. Those with bows took up behind the crenellations for protection before they began to look to him.

Blinking, he looked back and forth at the citizens before he grinned.

"I'm raising up the fields!" Eyes widened around him, gaping as he continued, "Find and capture any invaders hiding in them!"

Luffy leaped down the side of the wall, using wind to soften his landing - he had to learn the hard way that bones fractured or broke from heights. Once below, he ran across the road that lined the wall, and straight into the field of wheat, brushing aside stalks as he went. On the other side, he crouched down, keeping an eye on the army camp across from him.

This close, he could see them loading up the catapults again for another attack. However, the light from their torches did not reach him, and they did not seem to be looking out for an attack this close at any rate. His eyes narrowed as they tossed some sort of liquid on top. He could smell the fuel from here. Alcohol?

He still had time though, so he looked up and down the field before pressing his hands against the ground. Closing his eyes to concentrate - he had never done something at this size before at once - he felt carefully through the earth. The entire field of wheat abruptly shot into the air, rising on a bed of stone he formed under it. Behind him, the army soldiers screamed in fear as the shadow of the field rose before them.

Officers began shouting for order as Luffy panted, leaning up against the stone for support. Perhaps, he should have done this in a different spot ...

And this was only one of the fields.

His eyes narrowed, watching the soldiers closely. They still hadn't seen him specifically, but they were staring and pointing up at the field.

Suddenly, he heard a cry rise from the city, and he turned to look, but he couldn't see around the stone he had used to raise the wheat field. The soldiers were sufficiently distracted, however, so Luffy slinked away to head for the next field over.

Sore, Luffy knelt by the next field, panting heavily. This would make him stronger, but perhaps, he should have trained a bit more instead of canoodling with Nami ...

He tossed that thought aside.

That was just as important.

He glanced back, and his eyes widened as he saw a force of Dark Elves from the city collide with the soldiers. Suddenly, the ground under him rumbled, and he gaped as the field beside him rose into the air. He looked up, gaping as another Dark Elf looked down at him from above.

"Your highness! We'll take care of the fields! Go on!" He squinted up at the figure in the dark. For a moment, he had sounded remarkably familiar.

"Thanks! I'll stop the attack!"

He thought he saw a salute from the strange silhouette of the Dark Elf, and then he was gone.

Luffy smiled a bit before he ran toward the fight, feeling his magical energy slowly return to him.

The army was now facing off with the attacking Dark Elves, and Luffy stepped into their camp. The smell of alcohol filled his nose, and he spread his hands out to spray out jets of fire at the catapults left alone - the soldiers pulled away by the others' attack.

The flames crackled around him, lighting up his position and the rest of the camp to him. He glanced over, and his eyes widened.

A naked Dark Elf woman peered out of one of the tents.

She sank back inside with a cringe, and he heard a baby crying. Luffy hurried over, ignoring the shouting he heard from the army. Some of them were coming back, but he couldn't leave her there with the baby!

He thought he knew why she was there anyway. In the tent, he whipped off his cloak and wrapped it around her in one swift movement while she cowered in fear. He rubbed her arm through the cloak and crouched down to her level.

"Baby 5," he recognized her now - beautiful curly black hair and lovely, sad eyes. Where was Sai? "Grab your baby, okay?"

Sniffling, she stared up at him until he repeated the order, and then she scooped the crying babe up. He had a sudden terrible thought then, and he realized that he was glad that they had at least not killed the baby. Luffy picked her up, hefting her with a bit of effort - she squirmed with a deep blush - but he carried her out of the tent quickly.

The fighting had pushed back into the camp now. Luffy shouted over the din to a familiar face, "Zoro!"

The green-haired Wood Elf gaped at him as he ran over, and deposited the woman and baby into his arms, "What the hell!?"

"Take her back to the city! I'm going back to find more!"

Luffy turned only to stop short when Jimbei stepped in his way, "Your majesty! Stop! We need your help to destroy the rest of the attackers!"

"There's Dark Elf women in the tents! Maybe with more babies! Maybe even pregnant still! We have to get them!" Luffy grabbed Jimbei's arm, intending on moving him aside.

"You can't do everything at the same time!" The knight loomed over him, snorting hard. "Give me the order, sire. I will send soldiers to find and rescue these women and children! You don't have to split yourself into so many pieces!"

Luffy gritted his teeth, staring up at the Wood Elf before he sighed roughly, and nodded, "Fine! Get it done!"

Nodding, Jimbei said, "At once, your majesty!"

As Zoro carried away Baby 5, Luffy watched them for a moment before he shivered. The cloak was doing what he wanted at the moment though. Slapping his cheeks, Luffy turned back to the camp, his hands lighting up white-hot flames.

Nami watched the army march back into the city from atop her mount, clutching her reins. In the first few hours, a few women were brought back to the city before the soldiers would turn back to the fighting. There were pregnant women, women with suckling babes, and one even pulled along a confused, naked little boy.

That Nami stared at the longest. The curse must have been cured while he was still growing from an infant. Now he toddled along after his mother with a thumb jammed in his mouth.

She had moved quickly after realizing what was happening. Finding places for the women and children to stay so they could have warm clothes and hot food had been her task for the night. It was better than fretting over her fiance's wellbeing.

There were a few scantily clad or naked women with the soldiers returning now. Luffy was near the front of the army, smiling proudly. One woman with pink hair next to him was feeding an infant at her breast, but she was one that was still clothed - though it was a ragged peasant dress. He turned to the pink-haired woman - who blinked at him owlishly - and he seemed to say something excitedly to her as he pointed up at Nami.

She couldn't help but smile when she saw him. When he was close enough, Nami hopped down from her mount to rush to his side, hugging him tightly. His arms immediately wrapped around her, and he spun her around.

"Nami! Did you get some sleep?"

Pinching his nose, Nami huffed, "How could I sleep when my king could be in danger!?"

He grinned sheepishly at that, but he cupped her cheeks and kissed her deeply. Nami couldn't stop her grin then. Luffy pulled her to her horse which he mounted before sweeping her up onto his lap, directing them back toward the castle.
