Chapter twenty one

When Fred, George, Lee, Angelina, Alicia, Harry and Connie began to play, everyone cheered so loud it took a while before anyone actually heard how good they were. They began with some muggle rock songs, then to show everyone there was more to Harry Potter than just killing dark wizards, he sang with his wife Connie. Everyone was silent as they listened to the beautiful love song sung by two people who were obviously very much in love.

Ginny Weasley stared at Harry singing to his wife. Even though it saddened her that Harry didn't love her, she realised Harry and Connie were truly in love. They were really a couple who fell in love, at first sight.

'It's time for me to put my childhood fantasies to rest and move on,' Ginny said in a whisper then felt an arm go around her. She saw her father smiling down at her, 'It's true. I may have loved Harry, but he loves Connie. You can see it in his eyes. I've never seen him look so…content and happy.'

'He is happy and in love, sweetheart and I'm sorry this has caused you pain.'

'Even though it will take a while to get over Harry, I will move on. But it was more mum, dad. She was always pushing saying I would be married to Harry. She said it was guaranteed. I think it's why I really pushed to be with him. I mean if you think about it, Harry and I don't have anything in common, apart from quidditch. Also, Harry would rather fly than play. I heard him telling Ron he would be quite happy if he just got to fly without playing quidditch. Me, well, I want to play, I like the excitement of the game.'

'You do and if you return to do your last year you just may get the chance to show those scouts what you can do. But what you were saying before, I think you're right. Your mother wanted you with Harry so she was doing everything she could to make sure that happened. She never took into account that he may meet the one he's meant to be with. Love at first sight is not that uncommon. It could happen to any of us. Remus told me that it happened to James and Lily. It seems Harry is more like his parents than any of us knew.'

'After listening to what everyone was saying when we were at the hotel, you're right. It happens more than we thought. Well, I know of a couple of nice young men who were interested in me. Maybe it's time I got to know them better.'

'Just have fun sweetheart,' Arthur kissed his daughter on the forehead then watched as she joined a group of young adults, some Arthur knew were friends with Ron.

Even though everyone was still surprised with how good the band was, they just decided to enjoy the good music and good company and know it was finally safe.

Just as the band said they were going to take a break and get something to eat, spell fire blasted across the room. The aurors and hit wizards in the room, which included Kingsley, all pulled their wand.

Kingsley hurried over to Ginny who was pointing her wand at a stunned Hermione.

'Ginny, what's going on?'

'I overheard Hermione say Harry had to die, he had to or we'll be fighting V…Voldemort again. As soon as I saw her wand pointing at Harry, I stunned her. Is something wrong with her for her to try to kill Harry?'

Harry and Connie had joined the group, but so had Bill, Fleur, Tonks and Remus. 'I bet dumbledore told her about me and since she wasn't in on our plans, she didn't know it was removed,' Harry said staring down at his one-time friend.

'What are you on about mate?' Ron asked as he joined them.

'Those things we destroyed, Bill worked out there was another, me. He also knew how to remove it, which is how we were able to destroy the one we couldn't find.'

'While all of you went to the ministry, I used my training to remove it from behind Harry's scar. We decided to keep that quiet in case someone tried what Hermione did. All the old man had to do was tell me and I could do what I was trained for and all this could have been over a lot sooner. I could have saved his life if he told me,' Bill said.

'Um, Kingsley, she didn't know the truth. I mean if Bill told me nothing could be done, I would have volunteered. She just believes we were all going to go through this again,' Harry said.

'We'll take her outside and talk to her, but I'm going to use veritaserum, just to get the full truth,' Kingsley nodded to two of the hit wizards who took Hermione outside, 'All of you go back to the party.' Kingsley kissed his partner, Marcus before he followed the hit wizards and a still stunned Hermione outside.

'Let's get something to eat love. The minister will find out if she's still a danger to you,' Connie said.

Harry nodded but turned to face Ginny, 'Thank you,' he gave her a smile.

Ginny shrugged, 'I call it even Harry. You saved me, so I got to repay you for that. Oh, congratulations by the way. You and Mrs Potter make a beautiful couple.'

Harry stepped closer to Ginny and hugged her, 'Thank you. I'm sorry you got hurt with all this.'

Once Harry and Ginny let go of each other Ginny smiled, 'I'll get over you. Beside, it's not like I'm short on cute guys. Go with your wife and eat.'

Harry gave her another smile before he wrapped his arms around Connie before walking off to get some food.

'Since something always seems to happen around Harry or to Harry…' Fred said.

'and it's fine afterwards, we would say the rest of the night should be danger free,' George said making everyone laugh, but Harry rolled his eyes.

'It's true,' Harry shrugged.

'Let's eat love.'

Outside Kingsley was questioning Hermione using the truth potion. After he got his answers she was given the antidote.

'Now to the information that wasn't shared with you, Hermione. Bill is a curse breaker who has worked with horcruxes before. If Albus had spoken to Bill he would have lived since Bill knows how to remove the soul inside an item, he removed it from Harry then used that piece of soul to destroy the last one.'

'Why didn't Harry tell me?' Hermione shrieked.

'Because you refuse to listen to people who knew Albus Dumbledore made too many mistakes. Most of us stopped listening to him years ago. Harry hasn't trusted him since he was eleven. When Harry and Remus spoke, they decided to bring Bill in due to his job. Bill was already disappointed with Dumbledore for not using the order when he had them at his disposal. Even though you thought you were doing the right thing, you will be charged with attempted murder. I will need to interview Harry since he was the intended victim. Right now, the only thing I can do is have you locked up until I can organised you to be officially questioned and charged. A lot of it will come down to Harry as well. The way he is thought of right now will go a long way in deciding your fate.'

'He should have told me then I would have explained what Professor Dumbledore told me.'

'He couldn't trust you Hermione. Do you remember how you treated Harry during your last year at Hogwarts? You called him a cheat and a liar. Another thing, you believed you were right when it came to one of the items, yet you refuse to listen to Harry's ideas. He finally decided to trust the information to Remus, who ended up more of a help than any of us thought. You did wrong by Harry during your third year and then again during your sixth year. You also didn't greet his wife, you only glared at her. It shows Harry was right not to trust you,' Kingsley sighed but he nodded to the two hit wizards. Hermione had magical suppressant shackles placed on her wrist before she was taken away.

Kingsley knew Harry wouldn't press charges once he saw the memory of Hermione's questioning. But he was going to talk Harry into getting an oath from Hermione so she can never try anything like this again. Albus Dumbledore basically brainwashed Hermione Granger by making her believe their world would end up destroyed unless Harry Potter died. Now she would suffer due to her old belief that authority figures deserve her trust. After all Harry had done, Hermione had ended up giving her loyalty to a man who had not cared about her safety, yet Harry had risked his life to save Hermione and she turned on him.

Right as Kingsley went to return to the party, Arthur was dragging his wife out of the Three Broomsticks. He had been surprised that Molly hadn't tried anything before now. But seeing how Arthur looked told Kingsley that the trouble didn't need aurors involved. He knew once he went inside, he would be filled him. As he watched Arthur ready to apparate with his wife, Kingsley noticed that Molly had a bleeding lip.

'I wonder who punched Molly Weasley in the mouth?' Kingsley said before he shaking his head.

There was a group of people in the far corner, Harry and Connie along with them.

'What happened now?' Kingsley asked.

'Molly Weasley began to call Fleur some nasty names. First, William Weasley had a go at his mother before his wife hit Molly Weasley. Molly screamed some more nasty names and Fleur ended up turning into a huge bird. Bill has been trying to calm her down,' Tim said.

'It must have been bad for Fleur to lose control of her Veela side.'

'Oh, it was. William Weasley told his mother that was the final straw. He will never return to the Burrow again. So, what happened with Miss Granger?'

'It's like I thought. Dumbledore and his mistakes, again. He basically brainwashed the girl into believing Harry had to die or the whole world would suffer. Either way, she has already damaged her life. Harry might not press charges, but no one will hire her once this gets out. Albus ruined a lot of lives and he's still doing it even though he's dead. Anyway, I see if Bill needs a hand.'

Fred and George were going around the room collecting their winnings. They always knew that Fleur would eventually show her Veela side if their mother went too far. A lot of people actually thought Harry might be the one to really go off at Molly. He had held his tongue many times with the woman and weren't sure if he would continue to ignore what she said, especially if she said anything about his wife. Most people bet on Harry, Fleur was next, then it was a variety of names on the list. But like it had happened many times before, the Weasley twins came out the winner.

Many of the guest knew a lot of dangerous and terrible things happened at the celebration party, but they couldn't seem to let it get them down. They were all alive and their world was safer than it had ever been.

Connie hadn't allowed Harry to move away from her, she also hadn't let him go. So even though they were trying to help Fleur, she was not going to take the chance that something else could happen.

'Even though I was saddened and a little shocked at what Hermione did, I wasn't surprised that she hid information from me and that the old man was behind it. But you know what love, it doesn't matter. We're here, we're alive, we can now do anything we want.'

'We can Harry and the first thing we're going to do is work on our plans for our family.' Connie smiled at Harry before she placed his hands on her stomach. It didn't take long for Harry to realise why.

The smile Harry Potter had on his face seemed to light up the room. Within seconds Fleur changed back and everyone was back in the party mood. It was like now everyone saw that Harry Potter was happy, truly happy, it meant their world really was safe, for all of them.
