Thank you for the reviews. This one is quite short and I left it on a bit of a cliffhanger xd

Remus, Peter and James sat in silence for a few awkward seconds. Remus stood up, gathering his courage. "I'm going to go check if he's okay." Remus headed towards the door. "wait" James called. Remus turned around and walked back over to James.

"what?" Remus asked, unsure if he wanted to know James's opinion. "do you think he actually is,well, you know. Queer?" Remus tried not to be annoyed with James. "why would someone lie about it? Also, you shouldn't use that word to describe one of your friends." James shrugged.

"I guess it wouldn't make much sense to lie about it. It would be like walking up to someone and saying "by the way, I'm a werewolf." no one would admit to being a half breed. I guess being gay is the same kind of thing." James said. Remus winced internally at both the word werewolf, and the slur half breed, wondering why James had said werewolf. If he was thinking about werewolves a lot, that could be potentially dangerous.

Remus shook away the thoughts of werewolves and himself. Perhaps, even if his friends would hate him, he could at least make sure they still accepted Sirius. "I'm going to check on my friend" he said. Remus left, and walked back to Gryffindor tower.

As he walked, he thought. Thought about his book, and what it would recommend.

Always treat others how you would like to be treated. don't let the pain you feel turn to hatred. Its hard, sometimes, to not let the negativity overwhelm you, to burst out and make you want to destroy things. You want to scream, to scratch at your arms till the beast within is gone, you want to burn the whole place down, you want to drag your knife through the person who has just pushed you too far.

I can almost guarantee that most werewolves have felt this in their lives. The pain, the hatred you experience at the hands of others builds up. It fills you with anger and hatred for others. But this, this is the monster within every werewolf. This is the monster the wizards must fear. This is the monster that they created.

You must contain this monster. The constant battle has nothing to do with the wolf, and yet everything to do with the werewolf. The monster exists because of society, and it is for society that we must contain it. Never let the monster win. Always treat others how you want to be treated, lest you push them over the edge and create their monster.

On the way there, he saw Sirius walk past, rapid, hurried steps, agitated steps. Remus began to follow him subtly, wishing he could turn invisible. Fortunately for Remus, Sirius was too distracted to notice him. Remus followed him into the corridor, up a staircase that Remus recognised, and into Dumbledore's study.

Remus hid in a cupboard, and waited, wondering what Sirius would say.
