Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Bewitched Bond. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum and Rooster Teeth do.
Teenage Glynda stared down the hulking Geist as the Grimm roared at them before she looked at the others.
Crim was busy questioning how the beast could be so blasted big then trying to stop it… he was also under the impression that the Grimm was capable of being stopped easily when it came down to it.
"Remind me why I thought this would be easy?" Glynda questioned aloud to get no response.
Nobody expected a Geist to be in Vale, it was quiet bothering just how massive the Grimm was and the fact that they had been ambushed by a Grimm… that LITERALLY should have been incapable of hiding them.
Then again? It was Crim who decided the relic was safe enough to approach, mainly because he didn't want to waste more then the day it took to trek from the school to the bare end of the forest.
(Present times)
Glynda used her semblance to push a book rack up against the wall. She started wondering just what was supposed to be next when it came to fixing the store.
"Glyn, we busy fixing up the windows or we just leaving glass all over the floor?" Crim asked, trying to walk around the building.
There was broken glass everywhere, from what he heard? A Nevermore had been shot down over the building and slammed into the glass window over their head, killing the Grimm… and also caving the roof in, along with also putting people at risk and possibly causing thousands of dollars in damages.
Then again? Crim guessed insurance didn't cover invasions that destroyed the majority of the kingdom and left the rest crippled.
"I'll handle it, go make sure the books are organized accordingly and allow me to set up the war room." Glynda stated, knowing this was going to be a VERY exhausting topic to try and handle. There was going to be Grimm everyday trying to break inside the place.
Which kind of made repairs redundant when you questioned the simple fact that they would be undone just as fast.
"And what about the collapsed floor? This entire building was destroyed by the battle if you forgot, it isn't exactly structurally sound." Crim stated, it was something Glynda didn't need retold to her constantly.
She was well aware the library was destroyed. She was also entirely aware of all the bandits and White Fang ripping whatever remained of the kingdom apart and trying to scare people away from returning to it.
Glynda was more then stubborn enough not to let a small thing like damages and terrorists stop her when it came down it.
"Ok then… Port, I need a hand picking up the table and moving it, it's going to chip the paint if I leave it there, and I don't plan on letting it scuff the floor. Glyn can fix damages, not chips in the paint." Crim already was aware Port knew of this.
It was just Crim was tired, snarky, wanted to return to Beacon to deal with other issues and find out how to blow up the Grimm Dragon. The sooner they were rid of the hulking beast? The sooner things would go back to the way they were before.
Whatever it was that qualified for 'Normal', considering the entire Kingdom was pretty much waterlogged and unable to support people living in it at the moment. he had seen more desirable places back in Mistral.
"No, I'll move that as well… just move the books if you would?" Glynda got a sigh, followed by a nod from Crim as he moved from his spot to go and start to pick up the stack of books, he had just started to put away only a minute ago.
"I have a feeling your putting me through this for a stupid reason." Glynda stopped moving rubble enough to smile at her friend, knowing he was smart enough to figure something as trivial as revenge out.
Yes, she could entirely move wreckage around with her semblance. It was just funny to mess with someone who was clearly enjoying their power at the moment.
Then again? Glynda could be a jerk when the job requested it. she was very good when it came to messing with someone if they required it, VERY good at such things.
Crim knew this better then anyone, it was entirely why he found her to be a much better team leader when it came down to things.
Still? It surprised him whenever Glynda decided to turn her talents towards messing with people for the heck of it, entirely due to how rare it was to see the girl start making quips and jokes.
Crim could only roll his eyes, question what to do next, then retreat to go and find a way to get back at the leader of the school.
This would be a very long day.
