#018 – Pidgeot
Snapped Up
Pidgeot circled the lake from on high, looking for her next victim. She saw something glistening in the water and went for it. Her talons held fast to a Magikarp, which she took all the way back to her nest. Pidgeot's two children were waiting patiently for their dinner, politely shrieking as loud as possible and carrying on. When Pidgeot showed up with her catch, they were thrilled. The young Pidgeys hadn't tried Magikarp yet. Pidgeot equipped her chainsaw and divided the Magikarp into three parts. She offered the two larger parts to the children. They started to eat, but immediately took issue with the meal.
"Goodness me, I can't eat this!"
"Me neither."
"What? What's wrong with it?!"
"The rotter's got no meat on it. Tis naught but scale and bone!"
"Quit your complaining. I spent all day hunting for it, you best be grateful!"
"It tastes yucky!"
"You'll get no dessert if you don't finish it up!"
"Oh fiddlesticks, must we really?"
Pidgeot used leer to intimidate her children, so they would shut up and eat. It took a painstaking hour to down their portions of Magikarp. Both Pidgey ended up dead later that night. One had eaten the Magikarp's spleen, which was extremely poisonous. The other Pidgey's internal organs were sliced apart by the sharp scales it had ingested. Pidgeot went on to adopt more children.
