"I'm not too knowledgeable on curses and whatnot, so this may not work entirely..." she muttered, grabbing a book from a shelf.
"Well, we believe in you, Katrina," Jill confidently said. "You're always so knowledgeable on fortunes and the occult, surely a hex shouldn't be too hard!"
Katrina chuckled as she flipped through the pages of the book. "That is true, Jill." She continued skimming the pages until she found one particular section. "Aha! 'Cursed Objects'..." She read the page to herself. About two minutes later, she closed the book and walked back to her table.
"So... what did it say?" I awkwardly asked.
"It said cursed objects are very tricky. You need the object and the one to trigger it to be present," she told us.
I said, "Well, Rosie's here..."
"And we have the pacifier!" Rosie added, holding up the necklace.
"Place the item on the table," she instructed. Rosie took the pacifier off the string and placed it on the table. "Now, place your paws on the crystal ball." Rosie did just that. "Close your eyes, everyone," she said.
What happened next mystified me. The memory has burned itself into my brain. With my eyes closed, I heard Katrina reciting some bizarre chant. It sounded like, "Keeee heh ha mo-atata," or something like that. I could feel a slight chill from behind me, and I could see a glowing light, despite my eyes being closed. It all ended with a loud screech, a gusty whoosh, and the lights returning to normal. "Okay, open your eyes," I heard. I opened my eyes. Everything looked the same, and the pacifier was no longer on the table.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Do you feel any different?" Katrina asked.
Now that she mentioned it, something did feel different. I felt around myself until I felt something a bit... crinkly. I looked down in surprise. "We're back to normal!" I yelled. I looked around. My friends all had their diapers again, too. I turned back to Katrina. "Thank you so much."
"No problem, young miss," she said, stepping aside from her table. She actually wasn't lying earlier, as I saw bit of a black diaper peeking out from under her dress. "Before you go, please take a tarot card." She held out a deck of cards.
"Oh. Umm..." I wandered about the cards until I found one I felt was lucky. I flipped the card over.
"TODAY YOU WILL RECEIVE TRUE BLISS"
"Whoa..." I mumbled.
Katrina told us, "Whenever you need help, just come back again."
"Thank you, Katrina," Jill said. "Farewell."
"Farewell, friends."
We walked back out of her tent, only to find that the wind had stopped, and the skies were blue and sunny again. I didn't believe at first that something like that had happened, but I was thankful to be in a diaper again. "Happy now?" Rosie asked me.
"Yes..." I calmly yet happily said. "Next time we go out, try not to pick up any strange glowing objects, okay?"
"Alright," Rosie sadly said. "But if I do, you're gonna have to get me outta that mess." We both laughed as we all walked to our camper vans.
I thanked Jack for introducing us to Katrina. He chuckled and said, "No problem. Told ya she's helpful." I waved to them as they drove off.
"Bye, Rosie," I said, kissing her.
"Bye, Charlie," she meowed as we went our separate ways.
Driving back to my campsite, I wondered, "Did that to curse really work on my campsite, too? Or did it only work on ourselves?" I began to worry. When I got back to my campsite, I ran to my changing corner. Sure enough, my mat, diapers, and supplies were all there again, and the panties were nowhere to be found. I smiled in success.
I looked back and saw the children's potty still sitting in its spot from before. "Hmm... probably not going to use this now that I have my diapers again... but it might come in handy in the future." I turned it into a leaf again and put it into storage in my van.
Walking back out to the camp, I got a familiar feeling down below. "Oh..." I said, putting my hands on my stomach. "Looks like it's time for my first post-curse diaper to be put to good use." I bent my knees slightly and pushed. "Mmpphh..." I totally loaded and flooded my diaper with my waste. I was so glad to be feeling this relief again.
Standing back up, I felt the large bulge in the back. "Is this the 'true bliss' my card was talking about?" I plopped down on the floor with a wet squish. "Oh yeah, this was it." It felt so good and warm to sit in, especially after having been gone with them for hours. I laid down on my back and just stared at the sky with a smile. The curse had been lifted... for now.
