Hazel POV

I wake up to Jasper shaking me and yelling at me to wake up. When I am finally able to focus I see Jasper kneeling by Nyx who is pounding at her chest gasping for breath.

"Jasper what happened?!"

"I don't know we were talking and she just complained about being hot then out of nowhere she stopped being able to catch her breath."

I open Nyx's mouth and see that he windpipe is blocked and we aren't at the hospital so that means we aren't going to be able to give her any oxygen… She's going to die.

"Bite her Jasper." I look up at him with tears in my eyes. "Please I can't lose her." He just nods before he sinks his teeth into her neck then into both her wrist then he moves down to her ankles. He is about to bite into her right ankle when Peter comes busting through the door.

"What do you think you are doing to my mate!" He is charging at Jasper but I jump in his way. He is so focused on getting to Nyx that he doesn't even pay attention and pushes me out of the way. I fall to the ground.

"Ow." Well that's gonna bruise. Apparently that got his attention because he slowly makes his way over to me kneeling at my side.

"Hazel I am so sorry I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just so focused on protecting Nyx." He helps me to my feet and I give him a hug.

"I know Peter, Nyx stopped breathing I asked Jasper to bite her. I couldn't lose her Peter I couldn't." He just nods his understanding.

"Hazel I need you to come breathe for her until the venom starts doing its job." I run over to Nyx breathing into her mouth.

I am doing this for thirty minutes when she starts breathing on her own. Jasper nods letting me know that I can stop helping her. I make my way over to him crawling in his lap. I don't know how this could've happened I mean she was fine and then she wasn't. I look over at Peter and he looks so heartbroken. I know he wanted to try and fix things between them before she was turned. I take his hand in mine squeezing it. He just squeezes it back never taking his eyes off Nyx.

Jasper told me how painful the change was but not once did Nyx scream. I never left her side Jasper stayed with me never pushing me to leave. He knew no matter what I wouldn't leave her. The only thing he made me do was sleep. Even then I laid right by Nyx.

When her change was coming to and end Jasper took me outside. I didn't want to leave but Jasper told me that when newborns woke up their hunger for blood was all that mattered to them. We were outside waiting when Jasper out of nowhere picked me up and ran me inside. Jasper is always careful not to use his vampire speed with me so I knew something happened.

When we get pack to the room he places me on the ground just for me to be tackled to the ground.

"umph."

"Oh Hazel sweet, sweet Hazel." I can feel the tension in the room, but this is the same old Nyx just a little less breakable now. I take her in my arms squeezing her with everything I have in me.

"Nyx you scared me half to death. Never do that again." I laugh

"Haze this is great! Everything is so damn clear!" Nyx jumps off me and runs around the room several times. "Hazel! I can see! Like holy crap!" Than Nyx runs back over to me and starts sniffing me. We hear a growl and notice it's coming from Jasper. Peter is standing behind Nyx looking tense but she just stands up straight and rolls her eyes.

"Down Jasp, I don't want to eat her, not her blood anyways." She winks at me and I blush, Peter laugh. Jasper shakes his head. "You do smell damn good though Haze but I'd never hurt you."

"I know Nyxie. I had a feeling you wouldn't try to eat me."

"Of course not!" She scoffs, while both mean are watching us both with amazement in their eyes.

"Um… kitten." Peter says taking a step toward us. "How are you doing that?"

"Doing what?" Nyx asks when she turns to look at him. "Be a badass vamp bitch with her shit under control?"

Peter nods but smirks. "Yep."

"I dunno." She shrugs like its no big deal and shouldn't be surprising. That's Nyx for you. She always down plays everything. No matter what she stays nonchalant about things.

I can't help but giggle as I stand up from the ground where she knocked me down. "They really should have had more faith in you Nyxie. I wasn't worried for a second." I toss my hair back like I know everything and walk over to my sister and give her a hug. She squeezes me back just barely.

"I'm still not sure of my strength though yet so warn me if I start to hurt you Haze."

"No worries Nyx, I bet you couldn't hurt me. Ever."

She looks down and I know she would blush if she could.

"Well kitten as much as I am enjoying how much control you seem to have how about I take you on your first hunt and show you how it's done?" The smug basted just smirks and winks at her.

"Maybe I can teach you a thing or two myself their handsome." Nyx takes off out the door with Peter on her tail.

"Aren't you going with them cowboy." Jasper just shakes his head at me.

"It's usually better for mates to go alone especially for their first hunt together." I just quirk my eyebrow at him and he smirks at me. I can't help but blush.

"Plus I wanted some alone time with my mate, we haven't had that in awhile and something tells me that they are going to be awhile." The way he is looking at me gives me butterflies. He takes my hand leading me to his bedroom.

"Why don't you wait here while I shower now that I know Nyx is okay I suddenly realize how gross I am."

Jasper just takes me in his arms kissing me passionately. "You could never be gross me to darlin, but if that makes you feel better go ahead I will be waiting for you out her." I nod my head and head to the bathroom.

I take my time in the shower washing and shaving. I know I love Jasper and I want to be his in every sense of the word. I see the way he looks at me and I feel how much he loves me. I turn off the water and wrap the towel around me. I take a deep breathe steadying myself. It's now or never. When I open the door Jasper is just laying in his bed waiting for me. When he finally notices me his jaw drops.

"Like what you see Major?"

His eyes darken "Oh darlin you have no idea how badly I want you right now." Before I can even blink he is standing in front of me kissing me senseless. He picks me up and I wrap my legs around him. He carries me over to the bed laying me down. He never breaks away from our kiss. I feel his tongue brush against my bottom lip. I gasp and he takes that as his chance to slip his tongue into my mouth. I never tasted something so amazing. Jasper is my new favorite flavor.

I feel Jaspers hand on my breast I moan into his mouth. God his hand feels amazing on my body. He gives my breasts ample attention before he moves his hands down my body and under my towel. When his hand makes it's way up my thigh and brushes against my center I freeze I start getting flash backs and panic.

"No" I whisper as I start trying to push him off me.

Tears start running down my face. I don't hear anything else anymore I am now stuck in a past I have tried so hard to forget. I don't know how much time has past only when Nyx is holding me calming me do I realize exactly what happened.

I look up in Jaspers face seeing the panic in his eyes. I never wanted him to know about this part of my past but I think now I have to. I look up to Nyx who just nods at me. Looks like I am going to have to tell my mate about the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I just hope he still wants me after I tell him.
