SOFT

"Mommy, he's so soft! I have to have him!" cried out Anka.

Ty Lee and her daughter stood in a colorful pet shop in Caldera. After begging and begging, Azula told her wife and child that they could get Anka her first pet today.

Unfortunately, Anka now was sitting on the floor cuddling a very loving and loveable fire ferret.

"Your mother said you could pick out a fish," said Ty Lee. "It's a good starter pet. Look how pretty the imports from the Earth Kingdom are."

Anka kissed the nose of her fuzzy friend and whined, "I want a fire ferret. This fire ferret! Look; he already loves me!"

"He's… okay, he's pretty cute but Azula said—"

"Feel how soft!" Anka held the fire ferret up to her mother and it softly patted Ty Lee with its paw before rubbing against her.

And that was all it took. Ty Lee gave in, albeit terrified of taking him home to her wife.

She had to face Azula an hour after returning home with Anka's first pet.

"Princess," began Ty Lee, wringing her hands nervously, "I know you said to get Anka a fish but…"

"So help me, Ty Lee, if you came home with anything but an aquatic animal…"

"We named him Fish."

"What did you name Fish?" snarled Azula.

"It's a fire ferret."

"Good. I can skin him and wear him as a scarf."

"Princess, please. Just look at them play together." Ty Lee clung to Azula as Anka walked in carrying Fish and cuddling him.

Azula huffed.

"Maybe I won't skin him." She paused and glared at her wife. "Yet."

Ty Lee beamed brightly.
