Jess
Abby and I have been planning since yesterday morning and we finally have everything planned out. Abby is going to collect Aiden for me after school and give him dinner before bringing him back at bedtime. I am going to tell Becker I am pregnant tonight and we have got everything ready for it, I am so excited to do this and I cannot wait to see Becker's reaction.

Abby said she was up late last night making all the clues for Becker's little scavenger hunt and I have to say, I'm impressed.

Answer
The suspense is over.
You don't have to wait anymore!
The surprise is our sweet little family is increasing to four!

The 'answer' is going to be on a bun in the oven and then I am going to show him the pregnancy test.

I am so excited to see his reaction, I'm going to have my phone ready so I can record him the second he comes in the door.

I dropped a couple of little hints last night, nothing that he'd be able to work it out from but little things that I know he picked up on. For the first time ever, I put on 'One Born Every Minute' to see how he would deal with it, he didn't seem impressed with one woman's husband who wasn't coping well with what was going on, he actually looked like was going to pass out. Becker said that when we have a baby he would be a better support than that.

After the show finished we spoke about what the couples named their babies and that got us onto the conversation at what we would name any of our children. I wanted to see what kind of names he was going to go for; modern, traditional, rhyming or just something completely random but after hearing some of his names it is obvious that he likes the more traditional names. He was throwing out names like Amelia, Emma and Sophie for girls and Samuel, James and Oliver for a boy.

He actually seemed very comfortable talking about children. Most men get scared at the prospect of having a baby but Becker seems really calm about the whole thing already and I haven't even told him I'm pregnant yet. After we had watched 'One Born Every Minute' and discussed baby names I started talking about Aiden when he was a baby and told him what it was like with a newborn that cries for feeding, cries for nappy changes, cries for sleep and cries just for the sake of crying. I told him about how when you have a baby you don't sleep and when you do it's so light that the sound of a pin drop would wake you up. He really didn't seem to mind, I wasn't trying to put him off but I wanted to see how he would handle it.

This baby is so lucky to have a mother and father that is going to love it so much and I know a lot of people have a preference over a boy or girl but I honestly don't mind. As long as my baby is healthy and well then I don't care if it's a boy or a girl, I don't think Becker would really mind either. I just think that whatever the gender of our baby he is going to be very over protective, a bit like he is with Aiden. Poor Aiden, when he starts to bring girlfriends... or boyfriends... over, Becker will be sizing them up and I'm sure no one is going to be good enough for him.

God forbid this baby is a girl, that poor girl will never be able to have a boyfriend or even male friends. Aiden and Becker will be so protective of her, if this baby is a girl I feel sorry for her already. However it is sweet that she is going to be so taken care of and looked after.

"You look very deep in thought," A voice said behind me, making me jump so I turned around and saw Becker standing there smiling "Didn't meant to scare you," He said "Everything ok?" He asked with a look on concern on his face.

"I'm fine," I replied "I was just away with the fairies for a minute," I told him.

"Are you sure you're ok? I've got some free time if you want to talk about something," He said.

"Becker I'm fine," I said with a smile "Honestly, I'm ok... better than ok. There is nothing for you to worry about," I told him and he seemed to relax "Anyway, what are you doing up here in the hub?" I questioned.

"Well I was going to see if you were free for a quick break," He suggested.

"Sounds perfect," I replied.

I got up from my chair and Becker grabbed hold of my hand as we walked towards the break room.

"You know that programme we watched last night," He started and I nodded, knowing he meant One Born Every Minute "I just want you to know that when that time comes for us, I'll be there for you and I'll hold your hand every step of the way. I've never been at a birth before, I know you've had Aiden and you know what to expect but I don't. I just want to say now that I'll do everything I can to make it as comfortable as possible but I haven't really got a clue about births and labour and babies and pregnancy," He explained.

We sat down at a table together, still holding hands.

"That's ok. I've had a baby before but every pregnancy is different, every labour is different and every birth is different. I know the basics but having you there already makes it good for me. I had to do it on my own last time, the next time I will have you," I told him.

"I'll do my best," He said.

"That's all I could ask," I replied.

"I can't wait until we have a baby one day," He smiled.

I couldn't stop the smile on my face; I can't wait to tell him tonight!

"Me either." I leaned over and kissed him.

The ADD alarm blared out loudly all over the ARC and the red lights were flashing, I started typing away on my computer to get the details to hand over to the team. I heard footsteps coming towards me but there was one pair of footsteps I would know anywhere, Becker running towards me with those damn boots of his.

"What we got Jess?" He asked as he stood next to looking at the screen.

"I'm just getting the details up," I replied as I typed "Ok... sector 32. The co-ordinates have been sent to GPS and your black boxes, ETA is 12 minutes. Medical team and back up team are on standby," I told them "I'll get the area blocked off and find CCTV to get you a visual," I added.

"I'll see you soon," Becker said and placed a kiss on my cheek.

"Be safe." I told him sternly and he nodded before running off.

I put my comms device in and opened up the link to the team. I was typing away to try and find a CCTV connection but it was harder than usual. You would think for a place like London that is basically Big Brother, you would be able to find a CCTV camera for every area! The anomaly was in a builder's yard, surely they have security cameras.

I moved to another building and finally found a camera, I panned it around and saw that there was staff but no one had noticed the anomaly, they all seemed to be working like normal. I sent an emergency signal to the yard and within seconds I saw people vacating the area, at least that was them out of the way.

"Do you have a visual yet Jess?" Matt asked through comms.

"I've hacked into a camera but I'm still trying to get visual on the anomaly. The lack of security at this place is shocking," I answered.

"Keep us updated." He stated.

I hacked into another camera and finally got visual. There was no one near the anomaly and I hadn't seen any evidence of anything or anyone coming through, so far so good.

"Ok. Visual on the anomaly and no activity so far, do a general sweep of immediate area upon arrival." I said into comms for everyone to hear.

I saw on the map that the team were just pulling up to the site now. With any luck they can just lock the anomaly, keep two guards posted there until it locks and everyone else can come back, Becker can come back. I hate him being out in the field.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement but it wasn't coming from the anomaly. The movement was just out of sight of the camera so I can't tell what it is, I might just be a cat or something but it might be a person.

"I've got movement but it's out of the camera view," I told them.

"I'm doing a sweep now," Becker's voice said and he came into view on the camera.

"You must have just passed whatever it is," I told him.

"I didn't see anything," He replied.

"There was definitely something there," I stated.

"Sir, we have something," A soldier's voice said.

Becker rushed off from camera view but his voice came over comms a couple of seconds later "We've got footprints, a child by the looks of it," He said.

The alarms started going off again.

"We have another anomaly," I said urgently and typed away "It's in the same area. It has to be in the yard somewhere... do you need your back up team sent?" I asked Becker.

"No, keep them there for now but have them ready to go at a seconds notice," He replied.

"I can't get visual on the other anomaly." I stated in frustration.

I heard a scream over the comms device, a child, all of a sudden the comms line was overloaded with people shouting orders and asking questions. Everyone was talking at once and in panic at the sound of a child.

"Give me an update," I demanded but no one answer me "ARC Base to A Team, give me an update," I demanded again.

"A child has been taken through the anomaly by a creature," Emily said sadly.

"What?" I questioned "Did no one lock the second anomaly?" I asked.

"We've just located it," Matt said.

"I'm going to go through and bring him back," Becker's voice stated.

"Becker, please don't go through," I pleaded.

"I have to save him," He replied.

"Please... I am begging you," I pleaded again.

"Jess I have-"

"I'm pregnant!"

"What?" He asked in shock.

"I am pregnant and I am begging you not to go through that anomaly," I told him.

"I promise I'll come back. I can't leave him to die." I watched on the screen as Becker's Black Box signal disappeared.

I stood in front of the anomaly with Emily at one side of me and Abby at the other. Emily had her arm around me in a comforting way and Abby was holding my hand. The anomaly was still open but Becker's men were armed and surrounding the anomaly to stop anything a part from Becker and the child coming back through.

"I can't believe he actually went through," I said hoarsely.

"I'm sure he'll be back any minute," Abby replied.

"I can't believe he left me," I said.

"He hasn't left you," Emily stated "He is coming back," She added.

"I can't do this again on my own... raise another baby... I don't want to have to do this again," I cried.

"You won't be on your own, Becker will come back through," Abby promised.

"And you always have us," Connor commented from behind me.

"We're always here Jess." Matt put his hand on my shoulder to comfort me.

How dare he do this to me, he promised me that he would never leave and he would always be there for me. Just earlier today he said that if we were to have a child together he would hold my hand every step of the way but the second I tell him I'm pregnant he goes through that stupid anomaly, leaving me here to potentially raise this baby by myself, once again. I never wanted to raise another baby on my own, it was hard enough the first time but to do it again... with Aiden too. I just don't know how I'd be able to do it all and continue working. A baby is a full time job.

Becker never should have gone through that anomaly. According to Connor the anomaly lead to Pliocene Epoch, there are a lot of dangerous animals living in that time. We don't even know if Becker has been able to find the child that went through, Becker said the child was dragged through by a creature but we don't know what creature or what happened to that child. What if that child is dead and Becker has been killed trying to save it?

"Jess you're trembling," Abby said calmly.

"Maybe we should get you home," Matt suggested.

"I'm not leaving until Becker comes through or that anomaly closes," I stated.

"We promise we'll keep you updated." Connor jumped in.

"No!" I shouted.

A heavy jacket was placed over my shoulders but the reason I was trembling wasn't because I was cold, it was because I was so angry! Becker is in so much trouble if he comes back through that anomaly... on second thoughts, for his own health he better stay there!

I understand it was a child that had been dragged through the anomaly but there are many other people that could've gone through to get the child. Becker didn't need to be the one to do it, he had responsibilities here, and we needed him alive. He had a family and a baby on the way, Aiden will be devastated if he doesn't come home, Becker is his father and he loves him so much.

The anomaly started to flash meaning something was trying to come through. Matt and Abby pulled me away from the anomaly and they all stood in front of me, guarding me. Everyone had their EMDs raised and ready to shoot at a creature.

"Wait for my order." Matt said.

A shadow loomed in the anomaly and then a child, a little boy, came running out. He was covered in blood and grime, he looked terrified. Emily grabbed hold of him and brought him away from the anomaly... where the hell is Becker? I looked at the little boy and I felt bad that I didn't want Becker to go through after him, he was just a little boy and he would have been killed... but then again, it didn't have to be Becker that went through.

The anomaly started flashing again, something else was coming through. I held my breath as the shadow once again loomed in the anomaly and then Becker came running out of the anomaly, EMD in one hand and the other hand was holding onto his ribs. He dropped to the floor in pain and was struggling to breath.

"Lock the anomaly!" Matt shouted and someone locked the anomaly.

"Becker!" I called out and tried to run to him but he was swarmed with medics trying to help him.

He looked over to me and reached his hand out but then another medic got in the way of my view. He looked awful. He was covered in blood and grime like the little boy but it looked like most of the blood was his.

That was a quite a long chapter for me! What did you think of that? Was Becker right to go after the boy? Should someone else have gone after him? What happened to Becker and the boy during the anomaly? How did Becker get so hurt? Will Jess ever forgive Becker?

The next chapter is the very last one to this story! I am very excited for you to see the ending, thank you for reading this chapter and I will see you very soon.
