It's the final day of Phase four, and whoever was left was now at the starting point. Looking around, she would see there are currently seven applicants left. However, the only downfall is, she hasn't seen Leorio, Gon, nor her baby brother, Kurapika.

"Oi," Killua said, nudging her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm sure they'll show up."

"You think so?" She asked, looking down at the white-haired boy.

"I know so."

Letting out a small sigh, she would place her hands in her pockets. Fiddling with the ice-jar was lying in her pocket. 'I should've looked hard enough. What if something happened to them?' She asked herself in worry. 'If I found them sooner, then they would be here already.'

Tapping her foot nervously, a lot of thoughts started to run through her head. Starting to speculate all kinds of situations that could've happened to them. While she was deep in her thoughts, Killua looked past her shoulders and started to smile. Looking up at the Kurta woman, he would tug on the hem of her jacket and pointed behind him. Blinking a few times, she would tilt her head in confusion. Soon after she turned her body around, a large grin spread from cheek to cheek to see the trio that she was thinking about: managed to show up ok.

"Ah, three more arrived at the last second." said the guide. After calling out their names and marking their points down. Zahara smiled brightly towards everyone. "Congratulations everyone! You have passed the Fourth Phase of the exam."

After sighing in relief, Vividus was so happy to see everyone had passed the fourth exam. Smiling brightly at the three boys. Especially Kurapika.

'Thank goodness.'

Learning her lesson from last time, Vividus decided to stick close to her brother, Gon and Leorio. Vividus wasn't sure where Killua ran off, too: but decided it was best to leave him be. The last thing she wanted to do was become another over-bearing individual in his life.

The boys ended up updating her on what happened to the three of them during the last part of the exam. It was bizarre hearing that Leorio almost died to die to snake bites, they had to use a sleeping gas to escape and how Gon managed to carry all three bodies that were half the size of him out of the cave. Vividus grinned down at Gon, patting him on the back. "Good job, Kiddo!"

Gon smiled brightly and nodded his head. "Thank you Vividus-nee!"

Chuckling a bit, she looked over at Leorio, who happened to be sulking. "I'm so pathetic...I needed the two of you to do everything for me during the Fourth Phase."

"That may be true," Vividus said, patting Leorio's back. Which threw Leorio off by her sudden support "However, you wouldn't have passed. If anything, I would be grateful to have comrades such as them."

Leorio blushed a bit, scratching the side of his cheek and nodded in agreement. "I suppose your right." The man looked down at his teammates. Blushing in embarrassment. "T-Thank you guys...I promise I'll return the favour."

Hearing Leorio thank them. Vividus and the boys smiled. Happy to hear what he said. For Vividus, getting to know the loud guy wasn't so bad after all. She can understand a little bit more about why Kurapika and Gon we're fond of him. They were about to say something until the speaker when off throughout the airship.

"I have an announcement for all applicants. The chairman wishes to interview the remaining candidates. When your number is called, please come to the first reception room, on the second floor. We will start with #44, Hisoka".

Hearing Hisoka's name, Vividus narrowed her eyes towards the speaker. Crossing her arms over her chest in discomfort. Looking over at Gon, she noticed that the boy also reacted to his name.

'That's right...he managed to get Hisoka's tag.' Vividus thought to herself, eyeing him. 'I wonder what happened between them?'

Blinking a few times, Vividus felt like someone was also staring at her. Looking up, she would see her brother's grey eyes boring into her hazel-grey ones. Raising an eyebrow.

"What?" Vividus asked, tilting her head to the side.

He shook his head, looking away from her. "Nothing, just wondering why you flinched, that's all."

'He saw me reacting to Hisoka's name.' Vividus thought to herself, mentally slapping herself. 'That is definitely one of the questions he's going to ask about later.'

After Leorio ended his turn, Vividus was the last person to get summoned into Netero's reception room. Upon entering, she noticed the old man having a massive grin on his face. Waving towards the woman. "Welcome Vividus! I'm very pleased to see that you made it to the final phase!" He exclaimed, pointing his hand towards the cushion. "Please, sit!"

Nodding her head, she would listen and sit in front of the old man. Eyeing him, she noticed he had a notepad and a paintbrush in his hand. Preparing himself to make some notes with this meeting.

"How's your day going, Oji-san?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Well! You rookies this year are just full of surprises." He said, smiling at her. "It's been a long time since I've seen this many rookies pass the hunters exam. It's quite refreshing, actually."

Vividus grinned at the old man. "Well, I'm happy to know that you were impressed this year."

"Indeed I am, young one," Netero said, "As I mentioned before: you found at least one of your objectives during this exam, yes?"

Blinking a few times, she looked at the old man, confused. But soon realized that he was talking Vividus reuniting with Kurapika. Letting out a soft chuckle, she nodded her head. "Yes, I managed to complete one of my objectives. Which was interesting because I originally wanted to take this exam to help find him."

Writing down in his notepad, he would look up with an eyebrow risen. "What are you going to do now with your license? Any change of plans?"

Vividus held her chin in thought. Trying to articulate her thoughts together and respond in the simplest yet appropriate manner. "In all honesty, my second plan was after I find Kura-chan, I wanted to become a blacklist hunter."

Looking back up, she noticed a sudden change in the old's man demeanour. Netero no longer had a positive attitude nor his happy jolly expression. But more serious and concerned. "If I may ask, why?"

Seeing how the man would catch her in her lies if she tied to make up an excuse. Vividus just stared at him, remaining calm and also serious. The last thing she wanted him to view her as is a weak individual. "I want to hunt down the Phantom Troupe, Netero-san. After what they did to my clan. I want justice."

"I see," He said, continuing to jot down some notes in his notepad. "Let's say hypothetically, you achieve said 'justice.' What would your plans be then?"

Vividus narrowed her eyes towards the man, not liking where this is going. "What do you mean?"

"What I want to know, young one." He started, placing his notepad and brush down. Giving Vividus his full undivided attention. "Is once you achieve your revenge, what is going to be your new life purpose?"

The platinum blonde was about to open her mouth, wanting to respond to the old man's response. However...nothing came out of her lips. Frowning, felt his intense stare boring deep into her eyes. Netero wanted to know what her answer was going to be.

However, she has nothing.

Looking away from the man, she would cross her arms over her chest. "Honestly...now that you put it like that. I don't know. I feel like I won't have a purpose anymore once I complete said goal." She let a massive sigh escape her lips, running her fingers through her hair in frustration. "I...haven't thought that far ahead Oji-san. I apologize."

In response, all Netero did was nod his head. Vividus looked up to see he had his brush and notepad in his hand again. Scratching the back of his head with the wooden end of his brush. "Sorry young one. I didn't mean to overstep my boundaries." He said, "Now, let's get back on topic, shall we?"

Vividus nodded her head, no longer crossing her arms but now placing her hand on her lap. She wasn't sure what just happened with the old man. Looking back on it, she wasn't sure how his question remotely was even related to the hunter's exam at all. He always seems to catch her off guard,

"Now tell me, who do you want to fight the most and least?" He asked, readying his brush in his hand.

"The ones I would like to fight most are Kurapika, Gon, Killua, and Gittarackur. All for positive reasons", she said, counting her fingers. "However, other than those four. I have no interest in fighting anyone else."

Netero blinked a few times, surprised. "No one?"

Vividus shook her head in response. "No one."

~.:x_X_x:.~

Once Vividus finished her interview with Netero. She left the room and decided to walk around the airship. The kurta woman wanted to talk to Kurapika, but she noticed that Kurapika and Gon were having a moment together. Walking away, Vividus felt it was best for her not to interrupt their conversation.

At this point, Vividus found a spot and sat alone, looking out the window and watching the sun slowly disappearing before the moon takes over. While watching the sun going down, she started to think back on the conversation between her and the old man.

'He's right,' Vividus thought to herself, 'What are my plans once I hunt down the Phantom troupe?'

Leaning over, she would place the side of her head on the table. Her hair was covering her face to hide how miserable she's feeling. This isn't the type of conversation she was expecting to have with the old man, especially on how off-topic the discussion was.' Why did you ask that, old man?' With her thoughts interrupted, she felt someone move some of her hair behind her ear. Looking over, her hazel-grey eyes connected with a pair of beautiful blue eyes. Looking down at her with worry.

"You ok, Onee-chan?" Killua asked.

Nodding her head, she would nod her head a bit and lean back up from her head. Reaching her hand out and ruffling Killua's hair. "Yes, I'm fine."

Killua looked at her in disbelief, not believing a single word she just said. "Onee-chan, don't lie to me. Come on, what's wrong? Ever since Phase Three, you seemed off".

Placing his skateboard down, he would sit on top of the table. Giving Vividus his undivided attention. "Talk to me. I know it's been three years, but you know I'm always here for you."

"I know Killua...but I don't know if you hearing how I tortured a man is appropriate."

Killua just stared at her with a deadpan expression, "Yeah, well, I also stabbed my hand through a prisoner's chest and took his heart out." He said, poking the center of Vividus's forehead. "You always seem to forget that I came from a family of assassins. I kill people for a living. If anything, I am more than qualified to listen."

She stared at Killua in disbelief. "You stole a prisoner's heart?"

The white-haired boy smirked. "Without a single drop of blood."

Vividus should've known he was going to do something like that. As much as she disapproves of his methods, she couldn't exactly say much about it. She tortured someone just as bad, if not: worse. Killua was right, he is more than qualified to listen to this kind of conversation. Sighing in defeat, she reached her hand out and started to pinch his cheek. Causing the poor boy to pout in embarrassment. "Alright, kiddo, you win this round."

"Don't do that, Onee-chan! I'm not a kid anymore!" He pouted, giving her a playful glare.

She rolled her eyes, taking her hand back and leaned on it. "You'll always be my kiddo."

Killua stuck his tongue out, placing his hands over his head. "Now, talk."

"So demanding," Vividus said, rolling her eyes.

Looking out the window, she continued to watch the sunset. she began to mentally prepare herself, considering she was holding these thoughts in for so long. Finally bracing herself, she started to explain her event on what happened at Trick Tower. "During Phase Three, I was paired up with Gittarackur. We had to work as a pair to make it through the tower. Once we reached the final part of the exam. Everything changed." She explained. "We had to fight against two prisoners. To pass, we either had to make our opponent surrender or kill them. Gittarackur was ruthless and killed his opponent in a heartbeat. For me, I was planning on simply beating the crap out of him until he surrendered."

While Vividus was leaning on her hand, her other one was in her pocket. Fiddling with the glass jar. "I ended up fighting a prisoner name Altair. Honestly Killua, I have never met a man who was as fake as him. I figured my fight against him would be quick, but..." Vividus trailed off, remembering a quick memory flash of Altair when he revealed his eyes. She stopped fiddling with the jar.

"Killua, as I already told you three years ago. I regained my memories back. You know how I feel when it comes to my clan." She said, narrowing her eyes and felt her rage started to build up in her body. "After Altair removed his blindfold...I snapped."

Killua looked at Vividus concerned. "What do you mean?"

Letting a small sigh escape her lips, Vividus took the jar out of her pocket. Placing it on top of the table, all Killua sees is a pair of scarlet eyes inside the crystal jar. The boy's eyes widen in shock, putting the two and two together. "Onee-chan...what did you do?"

Staring at the eyes she gauged out. Vividus narrowed her eyes towards the scarlet irises, a wave of sadness suddenly flown past his body as her anger disappeared.

"After Altair removed his blindfold, he had the eyes of my brethren. He started talking about how he was obsessed with how beautiful it was. So much he decided to use it as is own...it was disgusting." For a brief moment, Killua saw her eyes flashed scarlet. But considering they we're still on Netero's Airship, she was trying her hardest to compose herself and her emotions.

"Hearing his stupid back story, my vision was filled with nothing but rage. So much rage that I ended up torturing Altair. While he begged for mercy, I continued to break his arms, soon gauging his eyes out in the process. The worse part is: I felt no remorse for doing what I did. At the same time, my morality is screaming at me that I should feel ashamed of myself...but I don't."

Trying to control her breathing, she would do her best to relax. Vividus saw small flashes of Pairo, her parents and the other villagers. How happy they were living a comfortable life before the massacre. Then from shifting from the smiling faces of her people, now went over to the terrible memory of Vividus taking her anger out of Altair. Hearing his plea, breaking his arms, and just overall him suffering before he died. The scarlet eyes that is staring back used to be so beautiful and pure.

Now, the eyes are tainted by evil and greed.

Taking her view away from the eye, she looked over at Killua who shown nothing but concern and empathy. When Killua heard everything that the poor Kurta survivor experienced, it started to make sense of why she was so off.

He pitied her.

"But that's what's scaring me, Killua. Like any sane person: I should be panicking...but instead. I felt nothing. There must be something wrong with me, maybe Hisoka is right...I'm a monster like Altair said I am. The last thing I want is Kura-chan to look at me as if I'm a monster." Picking up the jar, she shoved the jar back into her pocket. "I-I'm so sorry, Killua...that was a lot to unravel. I apologize for putting you in an awkward position."

Shaking his head, Killua would jump off the table. Now sitting beside her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He gave the platinum blonde woman a comforting hug. Killua felt Vividus feel tensed up when she felt his hug."Onee-chan, there is nothing wrong with you...you're not a monster. That prisoner had it coming, you did what you could that you felt was right at the time." Killua said, resting his head against her chest. "As my grandpa once told me: Being scared is part of being alive. Accept it, walk through it."

Vividus didn't say anything, she just stared at him not knowing what to say. But one thing is for sure, Vividus needed to hear those kind words from Killua. As well as wise advice. Smiling a bit, she would wrap her arms around the boy and hugged him tightly. Both the Kurta woman and the Zoldyck prodigy hugged each other in silence. Not saying much after that. Killua figured that Vividus needed his comfort; he knew very well how killing someone for the first time can really affect someone's mental well being. After everything that she's done for him, this is the least he can do for her. Killua hated seeing her sad like this, he never wants her to ever feel like a monster.

She's far from it.

"I'm sure if you talk to Kurapika, he'll understand. You are his older sister after all."

Blinking a few times, she would pull away from the hug a bit. Raising her eyebrow as she was a bit curious. "How did you know Kurapika and I were related?"

Killua rolled his eyes, "After meeting Kurapika and hearing his name: I figured he was the one you were looking for." He explained, unhooking one of his arms and poked her on the forehead. "Also, I was on his team during the third phase, and he was talking about his clan as well. So I just put the two and two together. It's not that hard!"

Besides Gon and Leorio, of course, Killua was probably one of the individuals who hung around Kurapika throughout the majority of the exam. A part of her was surprised that he told them. Her baby brother must've really trusted them if he was willing to open up to them.

"Besides, even though your hair is a bit lighter then Kurapika's. There is definitely a resemblance between the two of you."

Chuckling softly, she nodded her head in understanding. Leaning down, she would catch Killua off guard by planted a small kiss on the top of his forehead. Causing the white-haired boy to blush in embarrassment.

"Thank you Killua, for everything."

After Vividus and Killua spoke to one another. The two individuals didn't realize that a certain Blonde teen was behind the corner listening in onto the conversation. Hearing every detail on what happened to Vividus during the Third Phase.

Gripping his blue tabard, Kurapika wasn't sure why he was feeling upset. He didn't understand why Vividus telling Killua about what happened to her urks him. The blonde male understands that his older sister is scared about what he might think of her, but does she really think that low of him?

'Why can't Onee-san just tell me?' the Kurta teen asked himself, narrowing his eyes to the ground. 'I'm not a kid anymore.'

Watching from afar, Kurapika watched Killua and Vividus bond with one another. Seeing how happy they are with one another and how close they are. He frowned, not liking the negative feelings he's facing. Kurapika wasn't sure why he feels so negative towards the two in the first place. He was sure that his sister has her reasons for being close to the boy, but for some reason...

He couldn't help but feel jealous of Killua.

Shaking his head side to side, he would slap his own cheeks. Trying to get those negative feelings out of his head. Turning around, he decided to go back to Gon and Leorio, not wanting to interfere with their interaction.

'No, I shouldn't be jealous.' He thought to himself, trying to stay positive. 'Onee-san is alive, that's all it matters. I'm sure she'll tell me everything in due time.'

Trying his best, he would give himself words of encouragement. He knows his sister loves him dearly, he knows his sister a lot better than the white-haired child. That Vividus is just friendly towards him and those she is fond of.

But...why does he feel like he's being replaced?
