Hello and welcome to chapter 20 and the last chapter in the four part battle against Xehanort and Organization XIII. Well, we're finally hear, the long awaited battle between Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora against Master Xehanort. Chapter 17 was the setup, chapters 18 and 19 were about the individual battles against the organization, and now this chapter will have our heroes battle against Xehanort himself. Also, this is where I'll introduce Kilala Reno and give a description on what the Helmet of Lust looks like.
Chapter 20:
Coming out of the Corridor of Darkness, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora found themselves in The World that Never Was. Apart from Sora, Everyone was amazed at the mere sight before them. It was an expansive dark city with many building and skyscrapers, and in the center was The Castle that Never Was, the home base of Organization XIII.
"Wait, I don't get it, where are we," Naruto asked.
"It looks like a gigantic city," Aang answered.
"Obviously because it is," Inuyasha sighed.
Spiro turned to Sora and asked, "Sora, what is this place?"
Sora answered, "This is The World that Never Was…"
Naruto was shocked upon hearing this. "Wait, you mean the home base of Organization XIII?"
"Yeah," Sora answered.
Sakura looked around as if she recognized the city. "This is just like in my dream…!"
Everyone turned to Sakura in shock. They knew that Sakura had mentioned them battling Xehanort in a big city before, but they never could have guessed that this was what she was talking about.
"Wait a minute Sakura, you mean to tell me this is where you saw the six of us getting ready to battle in your dream," Naruto asked.
"It is," Sakura answered. "We're even in the same positions I saw us in in that dream."
Sakura then pointed towards Naruto who was standing on the building on her left side. "Naruto, the building you're standing on is the very same one I saw you standing on in the dream." She then turned to the others on her right side and said the same thing about them.
"Well, if you're dream is that accurate, do you know where Xehanort will be standing," Spiro asked, knowing that Sakura was their best option to find Xehanort before he attacked.
Sakura then looked straight ahead and saw Xehanort standing on a skyscraper. Ahead of him was The Castle that Never Was.
"No need," Sakura pointed. "He's right in front of us."
Xehanort was already aware of their presence and giggled, "So, the six of you followed me, did you?"
The six friends prepared themselves for battle as they knew Xehanort already knew they were there.
"You really shouldn't have followed me here," Xehanort continued, his back still turned to them. "You should have left wet enough alone and gone home with all of your friends and family. It would have been the easiest thing to do."
"You're not getting away from us that easily Xehanort," Naruto snapped. "Do you honestly think we'd just let you get away after everything you've done to us!?"
"Let's not forget all of the people you harmed," Aang pointed out.
"And all the worlds you influenced," Sora agreed.
"Not to mention those we love and care about," Inuyasha added.
"We're not letting you get away with all of this," Sakura shouted.
"You have two options Xehanort," Spiro said calmly. "We can do this the easy way, or the hard way. With your Organization XIII gone, I would suggest you pick the easy way and come with us quietly."
But Xehanort said, "You may have destroyed my Seekers of Darkness, but all I have to do is create more."
"And have Kagome purify them again," Inuyasha asked. "No matter how many times you create a Seeker of Darkness, the results will always be the same."
"I agree," Xehanort admitted. "As long as you and your friends are around, I will never be able to realize my desire to obtain the χ-blade and unlock Kingdom Hearts. So there for, I will have to eliminate you all from existence, even if that means, taking extreme measures…!"
Xehanort turned around and took out what appeared to be a red Greek or Roman style helmet with a trim of purple around the rim and sockets at the top that looked like they were meant for horns (think of an ancient version of Magneto's helmet). This was the Helmet of Lust. The moment he took it out, everyone started sensing something ominous about the helmet and knew that it wasn't safe to use such a weapon.
"What the heck is that thing," Naruto gasped.
"It's some kind of helmet, but I've never seen anything like it or even felt anything so ominous," Sora answered.
Spiro decided to try and find out what he could about the helmet and asked, "What is the meaning of this, Xehanort?"
Xehanort chuckled, "I honestly hoped I didn't have to use this thing again. But this helmet I have is the Helmet of Lust, an all-powerful weapon. The last time I used it was when I short secreted the Infinite Tsukuyomi's light. Sadly, it put me out of commission for quite some time and I couldn't do anything for one whole year."
"Xehanort wait, don't use that helmet," Sakura called out.
"Do you honestly think I would stop just because you told me to," Xehanort mocked.
"That helmet has a dangerous demonic aura around it, Xehanort," Inuyasha pointed out with both his sword and his words. "It's not safe for a mere human like you to wield something like that…!"
"Xehanort, if you put that thing on, who knows what it'll do to you," Aang pleaded. "You said yourself that it knocked you out for a long time the last time you used it, who knows what it will do to you now…!"
But Xehanort shouted, "Silence…! You should have stayed out of this fight when you had the chance…! Now, you will pay…!"
Xehanort put the on Helmet of Lust. The moment he put it on, his power started to increase drastically. His dark aura grew stronger and his powers and abilities were magnified to new levels.
"Kurama, are you sensing this," Naruto asked Kurama.
"Yeah, the moment he put on that helmet, his energy and presence became similar to Kaguya's," Kurama answered. "But his power is on a completely different level."
"Raava, what is going on," Aang asked.
"The Helmet of Lust is a dangerous weapon Aang," Raava replied. "It enhances all the powers of its wielder. Don't let your guard down."
Xehanort then summoned his Keyblade and attacked the group.
Spiro shouted, "EVERYONE, SCATTER…!"
Without hesitation, the group scattered to confuse Xehanort before preparing for a counter attack.
"RASENSHURIKEN…!"
"WIND SCAR…!"
"GOLDEN BLAZER…!"
Naruto, Inuyasha and Spiro unleashed their trademark attacks on Xehanort. When they hit, there was a massive blast of fire and energy and it seemed like Xehanort was finished at first.
"Did you guys get him," Sakura asked.
"I don't think so," Spiro narrowed his eyes. "If it were that easy, Xehanort wouldn't be much of a threat to any of our worlds, especially with that helmet. I believed he survived that attack without a scratch."
As the smoke cleared, Xehanort was seen as a silhouette until the cloud was completely gone. "You're very perceptive Spiro," he complemented. "But perceptiveness won't be enough to save you from your demise."
Sakura acted quickly and rashly as she activated one of her cards.
"WOOD…!"
Activating the Wood Card, Sakura attempted to bind Xehanort in a barrage of vines.
"Sakura wait…!" Aang tried to stop Sakura, but it was too late.
The moment the vines got too close to Xehanort, the Keyblade Master used a fire spell and burned them all to a crisp with ease. He did not even have to say the name of that spell; all it took was the wave of his hand and the spell was activated. Xehanort then proceeded to burn Sakura to a crisp with this spell. Sakura reached for her cards, but was not fast enough as Xehanort surrounded her with blazing-hot flames. But at the last minute, Spiro flew right into the flames and used his Fire Crystal to absorb them, saving Sakura.
Next thing the group knew, Xehanort waved his hand again and summoned a huge number of Shadow Heartless and Dusk Nobodies to the battlefield. Seeing the numerous Heartless and Nobodies surrounding them, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora prepared themselves to fight them off.
"RASENSHURIKEN…!"
"WIND SCAR…!"
"GOLDEN BLAZER…!"
The group made quick work of the Heartless and Nobodies and resumed their battle with Xehanort. Sora and Inuyasha came at him and slashed at him with their blades, the Keyblade and Tetsusaiga respectively, Sakura unleashed her magic through her staff, and Naruto, Aang, and Spiro fired elemental and projectile attacks from their hands and mouths at the powerful Keyblade Master. Using his mastery of magic, Xehanort managed to hold his own against his younger adversaries along with having his powers enhanced by the Helmet of Lust.
As they fought, the all moved through the city, with Xehanort in the lead and Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora hot on his tail. The Keyblade Master continued to summon Heartless and Nobodies to take most of the hits from his adversaries in order to evade an attack. While they did not last too long, they served their purpose in protecting him from harm, mostly.
Xehanort then waved his hand again and had several of the building raise into the air and flight right towards the group. Apart from Sora, everyone was shocked to see this from kind of attack from Xehanort. However, they were all quick to rub it off and respond to this attack in their own ways.
"WINDY…!"
Sakura used the Windy Card and blew the first wave of flying buildings away.
Sora flew up to the second wave flying buildings and used his Keyblades to slice and dice right through them like butter.
"NOVA TWISTER…!"
Spiro flew at the third wave of flying buildings used his Nova Twister attack and drilled right through them.
"SHADOW CLONE JUTSU…!"
Naruto created several shadow clones and each of them prepared to attack the next wave of flying buildings coming at him.
"GIANT RASENGAN BARRAGE…!"
Each of the shadow clones created a Giant Rasengan in their right hands and used them on the fourth wave of buildings, destroying each and every one of them.
Inuyasha was next in line to handle the next wave of flying buildings coming at them with his Tetsusaiga. "I don't have time for this…!"
"WIND SCAR…!"
Inuyasha fired the Wind Scar to destroy the entire fifth wave with one stroke. He did not want to waste any time taking out Xehanort as he knew that taking him down would help save their home worlds.
Aang took the sixth wave of flying buildings using both his Earthbending and Airbending powers. Bending the stone within the buildings, Aang shattered them and blew them away like shed leaves or grass seeds in a field.
Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora chased Xehanort through the city all the way to the Castle That Never Was, taking out a few more Heartless, Nobodies, and flying buildings along the way. But as they approached the castle, they all started getting suspicious about Xehanort's actions.
Sakura was the first to point out, "Guys, we're getting close to the castle."
The others stopped and looked up at the gargantuan castle, then noticed that Xehanort had stopped just at the entrance before turning around and walking into the castle without any worry about being attacked.
"Why did Xehanort just do that," Naruto asked.
"He's probably trying to lure us into a trap," Sora pointed out.
"Indeed," Spiro agreed with Sora. "But nonetheless, we cannot just let him go free. If he escapes, he will create more Seekers of Darkness to replace the ones we took out.
"Okay, so what's the plan," Aang asked.
"We go in there and take him out, that's what we'll do," Inuyasha smirked.
"Yeah let's go," Naruto agreed.
Naruto and Inuyasha were both about to march into the castle when Spiro extended his wings and stopped them. "Hold it you two…! We cannot go in there rashly. We don't know what we're up against. I have a feeling that what we just witnessed was only a taste of what he can do."
Suddenly, Xehanort emerged near the top of the castle and prepared to unleash his magic upon his foes below. Sakura was the first to notice Xehanort at the top despite him being so high on the castle it was nearly impossible for her to see him with her eyes. "Guys, he's at the top…!"
Hearing Sakura point Xehanort's location, the group knew what to do to get to him. They all took to the air, with Naruto and Inuyasha riding on Spiro's back while Sakura, Aang, and Sora flew using their magic and glider respectively. But Xehanort had anticipated this action and unleashed a bombardment of Dark Firaga fire attacks at them.
"Look out…!"
The group used evasive action to avoid the attacks as they flew right towards them. As they evaded the attacks, they continued to fly right towards the Keyblade Master while preparing to unleash their counter attacks. Naruto through his Rasenshuriken, Sakura activated the Shot Card, Inuyasha used his Wind Scar, Spiro fired his Golden Blazer, Aang blew a strong air current with his Airbending, and Sora launched a Homing Fira.
"RASENSHURIKEN…!"
"SHOT CARD…!"
"WIND SCAR…!"
"GOLDEN BLAZER…!"
"HOMING FIRA…!"
Xehanort noticed this attacks coming at him and quickly surrounded himself in a protective barrier.
"GUARD…!"
When the attacks hit the barrier, they did not do a single thing to it and Xehanort was left unharmed.
"A barrier," Sakura gasped.
"Darn it," Naruto shouted. "And we were so close…!"
"I'll take care of that," Inuyasha smirked before jumping off Spiro's back. "My Red Tetsusaiga can penetrate barriers."
Inuyasha's sword turned bright red as he ran up to Xehanort to cut through his barrier. Remembering something, Sakura took out another of her cards and called out, "I'll help…!"
"SWORD…!"
Activating the Sword Card, Sakura flew right towards Xehanort in an effort to help Inuyasha cut through the barrier. However, Xehanort was ready for them and prepared to counter attack.
Sora noticed something was wrong and called out, "Sakura… Inuyasha… watch out…!"
"Too late…!" Xehanort summoned his younger self's Keyblade in his left hand and used both Keyblades to block Sakura and Inuyasha's sword attacks right in their tracks rather than activating his barrier again, much to everyone's shock, especially Sora's.
"Did you think I'd let you penetrate my barrier as you did to your enemies' barriers in the past," Xehanort chuckled.
"Two Keyblades, but how," Sora gasped upon seeing Xehanort wield two Keyblades at once.
"You're not the only Keyblade Wielder who can wield two Keyblades at once Sora," Xehanort answered. "It's something I acquired when your Heartless, Aros, worked for me as one of my Seekers of Darkness. Though I will admit this is a first time for me, but that won't matter in a few minutes."
Xehanort then pushed Sakura and Inuyasha away from him. While they both fell to the ground on their butts, Naruto and Sora moved in and attacked Xehanort with their chakra rods and Keyblades respectively. Xehanort quickly got into a sword dual with Naruto and Sora as the three blocked one another's slashes while trying to bring down the other. The dual did not last long as Spiro came in from the sky and rammed Xehanort with his draconium armor, pinning him to the floor. He attempted to bite Xehanort, but he used his Keyblade to keep the young firedrake's jaws away from his body. Spiro only bit the Keyblade and not Xehanort's body. He bit down as hard as he could, but he could not bite through the Keyblade.
Xehanort took his second Keyblade and using both, pushed Spiro off of him, freeing him from his grip. Spiro's armor protected his body from any damage, but the action caused him to lose a few teeth. But the moment he became free of Spiro's grip, he was pinned down yet again, this time by Aang's Earthbending. Aang used Earthbending and created several pillars of rock and pinned Xehanort with them hoping to keep him from moving so he could stop him. Aang then walked up to Xehanort and prepared to use Energy Bending to take Xehanort's powers away.
"I'm taking your powers away, for good," Aang placed his hands on Xehanort and prepared for his avatar powers.
"I don't think so," Xehanort smirked.
Suddenly, more Heartless and Nobodies appeared and attacked Aang before he could bend. Forced to defend himself, Aang used his Airbending and Firebending techniques to attack the Heartless and Nobodies. While he was doing that, Xehanort used magic and Keyblades the slice through the rock pillars, freeing himself. Xehanort then attacked Aang with his Keyblades while the young Airbender was distracted by the Heartless and the Nobodies. Before Xehanort could strike Aang, Naruto came in and attacked him.
"RASENGAN…!"
Using his Rasengan, Naruto sent Xehanort flying away from the group to the top of the castle.
After sending Xehanort flying, Naruto and Aang teamed with Sora and battled against the Heartless and Nobodies surrounding them. Things were going okay for them when suddenly…
"SHOT CARD…!"
"WIND SCAR…!"
"GOLDEN BLAZER…!"
Spiro, Sakura, and Inuyasha regrouped with Naruto, Aang, and Sora and made quick work of the Heartless and Nobodies. After regrouping, they all looked at one another and knew they needed a new strategy and fast. Sakura brought Kero and Yue from her staff while Naruto and Aang summoned Kurama and Raava from their bodies (in small forms) to join in.
"Okay, so what's the plan," Sakura asked her teammates.
"For starters, we keep making the same mistake," Spiro answered.
"What is that mistake," Inuyasha questioned.
"We keep attacking Xehanort separately," Spiro answered. "Every time one or two of us goes in to attack him, he always has a counter attack or strategy waiting for us. That "Helmet of Lust" doesn't help either since it appears to be amplifying his powers. If we're going to defeat him, our first act is to work together as a team, as we discussed back at the tower."
"Yeah, I think Spiro has a point," Naruto agreed.
"I have unfinished business with Xehanort," said Kurama.
"Yeah, well get in line," Yue replied.
"Enough, both of you," Raava told them. "I believe Spiro is right. Neither of us can handle this on our own, especially since Xehanort is using the Helmet of Lust."
"Thank you Raava," Spiro bowed his head before continuing. "That helmet is troublesome, but apparently Xehanort did not use it until after we took out his Seekers of Darkness and followed him into this world. That must mean it was a last resort. If we take that helmet off of him, we'll have the advantage."
"And then what," Inuyasha asked. "Even if we get the Helmet of Lust off his head, he'll just keep coming at us and outsmart us."
"I think I can handle that," said Naruto. "I'm known as the Unpredictable Knucklehead Ninja back in my world. Heck, even I don't know what I'm doing half the time."
"That's good to hear Naruto, but we still need a real plan," Sora pointed out.
Sakura then remembered something. "Guys, I think I have an idea."
At the Altar of Naught, the top of the castle, Xehanort recovered from being hit by Naruto's Rasengan and prepared for another round. By now he was annoyed with Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora for their continued interference and realized that he will never be able to complete his plan as long as they were around to ruin it. Getting back on his feet, he looked to where they were discussing their plan, holding his stomach and coughing a bit from being hit by the Rasengan. He didn't hear what they were talking about, but he knew his six adversaries were up to something and he had to take them out fast. "Those little pests…!"
Xehanort summoned his Keyblades again and activated their magic with the Helmet of Lust amplifying his power even further.
Xehanort's actions caught the attention of his opponents who were finished discussing their plan to take him down. They looked up and noticed that Xehanort was getting ready to do something, but they could not figure how what it was. Raava and Kurama returned to Naruto and Aang's bodies while Kero and Yue returned to Sakura's staff.
"What the hell is he doing," Inuyasha asked.
"Good question," Spiro answered. "Get ready for anything…!"
Suddenly, Xehanort pointed both of his Keyblades into the air and fired a magic energy beam into the sky. Next thing the group knew, many Shadow, Armored Knight, Neoshadow, Novashadow, Mega-Shadow, and Gigas-Shadow Heartless and Dusk and Twilight Thorn Nobodies appeared before them and prepared to attack. Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora were quick to respond to this and made quick work of the Heartless and Nobodies. The lesser Heartless such as the Shadow, Neoshadow, Armored Knight, and Novashadow were easy to get rid of. The stronger Mega-Shadow and Gigas-Shadow were a little harder to beat, but they too were quickly taken down.
"He needs a new strategy," Inuyasha smirked.
Suddenly, two Darkside, Dark Follower, and Dark Hide Heartless and three Twilight Thorn Nobodies appeared. The sheer size of these beings shocked everyone apart from Sora who was shocked because of their sudden appearance to this battlefield.
"You and your big mouth," Sora said bluntly to Inuyasha.
Next thing the group knew the nine new enemies started to grow bigger until their sizes rivaled that of the Tailed Beasts. Seeing this unfold shocked everyone in the group, especially Sora as he had never seen anything like it before.
"Speaking of big," Aang gulped.
The Heartless and Nobodies then started swarming right towards the group.
"TIME…!"
Acting on instinct, Sakura activated the Time Card and froze time, stopping the Heartless and Nobodies in their tracks. With everything frozen in time say for her allies, Sakura was relieved to see that she made a difference, despite being tired from using so many of her cards in one day.
"What happened," Naruto asked in amazement. "Why are all the Heartless and Nobodies frozen like statues?"
"I froze time," Sakura panted. "But… doing this… takes a lot… out of me. I don't… know… how long… I can hold this."
"I see," said Spiro, realizing that they had to take out the Heartless and the Nobodies before Sakura's magic wore off.
In real time, Xehanort was surprised at first to see that so many Heartless and Nobodies were being taken out faster than they should have been. But then he used the powers of time like his younger self and saw what was really going on. "How interesting," he said after freeing himself from Sakura's magic. "Apparently, we Keyblade Wielders aren't the only ones who can freeze time."
Hearing Xehanort's voice, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora turned to their opponent and saw that the Keyblade Master had freed himself from Sakura's spell.
"But how," Sakura gasped.
"Don't be so surprised," Xehanort answered. "My younger self was able to free himself from a similar spell. He was also able to travel through time to gather the pieces of me throughout time, something I cannot do. I'm still able to free myself from time stopping spells like this one…"
Xehanort suddenly became caught in Sakura's time free spell again, but that did not matter as the Time Card's magic wore off seconds later.
"Although apparently, I didn't need to use it as your spell wore off," Xehanort finished.
Sakura panted from using the Time Card's magic and had to use her staff to support herself like a walking stick.
"Sakura, are you alright," Naruto gasped.
"I'm fine, Naruto," Sakura panted.
"You don't look fine to me," Aang disagreed.
"Don't worry about me," Sakura pointed out. "We have to finish this or all of our worlds will be doomed."
Xehanort chuckled. "Well child, while you're getting weaker from using your magic so much, I continue to get stronger. Now, it's time to end this here and now…!"
Xehanort then activated his Keyblade Armor, surrounding himself with a suit of metal armor similar to Spiro's armor. While activating it, Xehanort's armor fused with the Helmet of Lust, amplifying its power tenfold. The sight of this shocked everyone as they knew things just went from bad to worse.
"What in the name of Marduk," Spiro gasped.
Sora looked to Sakura and told her, "Look Sakura, maybe you should sit this one out."
"No," Sakura protested. "You guys need me."
"What do we do," Aang asked.
"I say we go all out on this," Inuyasha suggested. "No point in holding back if he just keeps getting stronger and stronger."
"I think Inuyasha's right," Naruto agreed. "We can't play it safe anymore. We need to take him down, whatever it takes…!"
"Are you sure we have to," Aang asked out of concern.
"Let us not argue about it," Spiro pointed out. "Go all out…!"
Suddenly Xehanort charged at his six adversaries, both Keyblades at the ready. As he charged, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora all unleashed the full potential of their powers. Naruto went into Six Paths Sage Mode, Sakura had her staff take on its Guardian Form, Inuyasha unleashed his Demon Blood and had his Tetsusaiga turn black, Spiro used his Phoenix Dragon Mode, Aang went into the full Avatar State, and Sora took on his Final Form. After going into their strongest forms, the group charged at Xehanort just as he was charging at them, resulting in a clash.
At Yen Sid's Tower, everyone was battling the Heartless and the Nobodies surrounding the tower. But they were overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Suddenly, the Gummi Ship appeared in the sky and landed just outside the tower. Upon landing, the Guardians of Light and their allies came out with the Princesses of Heart in hand. The moment they appeared, a brilliant barrier of light formed around the tower, destroying all the Heartless and Nobodies surrounding it and preventing any others from entering.
After creating such a powerful barrier, the Princesses of Heart reunited with their loved ones, say for Kairi and Hinata.
"Aladdin," Jasmine ran up to Aladdin.
"Jasmine," Aladdin grabbed Jasmine as she jumped into his arms. "I'm glad you're safe."
"Belle," Beast reunited with Belle and was warmed by the feeling reunion after being separated for so long. "You're alright."
"Of course I'm alright," Belle tearfully said.
"Wait a minute," Queen Minnie gasped, noticing that Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora were not with them. "Where are Sora and the others?"
Mickey thought about this for a moment before answering, "Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora are in the World that Never Was and still battling Xehanort as we speak."
Everyone in the area who did not witness them go after Xehanort were shocked.
"They're battling Xehanort all by themselves," Aladdin gasped.
"Yeah, though I wish they weren't," Kairi lowered her head.
"Are they crazy," the Beast gasped. "That man's minions were enough to corrupt, take down, or even capture each and every one of us…! What makes them think they can handle Xehanort himself?"
"That's what I want to know," Shikamaru replied.
"Well either way they followed Xehanort through a Corridor of Darkness and are fighting him as we speak," Riku added. "Let's just hope they know what they're doing."
Hinata said nothing out loud but could not help but worry about the love of her life. "Naruto…!"
In the World that Never Was, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora were attacking Xehanort with everything they had. Inuyasha came in from above and slashed his Tetsusaiga down on Xehanort. But Xehanort saw this and blacked Inuyasha's attack with his Keyblades. Suddenly, Naruto came in with a Rasengan and slammed it against Xehanort's back, sending him flying off the edge of the altar. Inuyasha jumped clear before Xehanort was sent flying and watched with Naruto.
After being sent off the altar, Xehanort used his magic and flew back up to continue the battle with his young adversaries. As he flew up, Aang used his airbending to create a vortex of air that trapped Xehanort in a small but strong tornado. That was bad enough, but it got worse as Spiro flew into the vortex, snatched Xehanort from behind, and sank his claws into chinks in his armor.
"NOVA TWISTER…!"
Next thing he knew, Spiro used his Nova Twister attack and started spinning rapidly in a fiery vortex in the same direction as the tornado, turning it into a flaming tornado. The flames surrounded both Spiro and Xehanort like a blanket at a temperature hot enough to melt solid steel. Spiro's draconium armor and fire crystal protected from the heat, but Xehanort was not so lucky, or so it seemed. Spiro then started to alter the vortex and flew high into the air. As he continued to spin, he flew in a vertical, donut shaped ring, increasing his speed and the heat of the flames gradually and he went along. As the flames' heat increased, the ring glowed brighter and brighter until it rivaled the sun in brightness.
The others watched as Spiro's fiery ring grew brighter and brighter, worried that Spiro would not survive this movement. Suddenly, Spiro flew strait down from the ring still holding onto Xehanort and slammed him to the floor and creating a wider vortex of flames. Next thing everyone knew, Spiro jumped out of the vortex and slid to his friends, having released Xehanort, and seemed unharmed by the flames.
"Sakura, Sora, your turn," Spiro told Sora and Sakura.
While a little shocked to see Spiro unharmed, Sora and Sakura both nodded and made their way to the vortex as it faded away. Sora approached on foot while Sakura used the Fly Card to approach from the sky. Soon the vortex completely faded and Xehanort emerged more angry than harmed. His armor was heavily melted in certain areas, but Xehanort himself was exhausted from having to endure the intense heat.
Sakura took out one of her cards, but before she could activate it, Xehanort unleashed a powerful shockwave of dark energy, sending Sora flying into a nearby poll and causing Sakura to drop her card. Sakura flew down to retrieve her card, but Xehanort had other ideas. The Keyblade Master flew up to Sakura and prepared to kill her. With his Keyblades still searing hot from Spiro's flame attack earlier, the blades would cause a lot more damage.
Naruto called out in worry, "Sakura, watch out…!"
Just as Sakura grabbed onto her card, Xehanort slashed at her with his Keyblade in an attempt to cut her in half. But Sakura, having heard Naruto's shout out, used her athletic skills and avoided being cut, although her hand somehow still touched the Keyblade along with her card. After avoiding Xehanort's attack, Sakura pulled up and allowed Sora to attack the Keyblade Master with his own Keyblades, Oblivion and Oathkeeper.
In the air, Sakura watched as Sora and Xehanort got into a sword dual with one another while gaining height. She then took out two of her cards and prepared to use them with her more powerful staff.
"WATERY…!"
Sakura first activated the Watery Card and surrounded Xehanort within a large bubble of water. Xehanort tried to get out of the bubble, but it didn't work.
"FREEZE…!"
Sora used a freezing spell while Sakura activated the Freeze Card, quickly freezing the bubble Xehanort was trapped in down to the very last drop of water. Once the bubble was completely frozen, Xehanort was rendered completely immobile like an ancient or prehistoric bug encased in amber. But Xehanort was not done yet. The Helmet of Lust began to glow and increase Xehanort's powers, causing the icy prison to fracture. Within a matter of seconds, Xehanort broke free of the ice prison and panted heavily from the strain, not just from being exposed to intense heat and cold in one battle, but from the extent of using the Helmet of Lust for such a long time.
Moments later, the group gathered around Xehanort and prepared for one more bout with the Keyblade Master.
"It's over Xehanort," Spiro announced.
"Not yet it isn't," Xehanort replied.
"Xehanort, please stop," Sakura pleaded. "You don't have to keep doing this…!"
"Yeah and besides, you should take off that helmet," Inuyasha backed Sakura up.
"And why would I do that," Xehanort questioned.
"Xehanort, that helmet is consuming you," Naruto pointed out. "If you keep using it like this, you'll die…!"
"Silence," Xehanort shouted. "I'm well aware of what could happen if I use this thing for too long a time…! But that's why I will destroy all of you before that happens…! You've all proven to be more trouble than you're worth and I've come too far to stop now…!"
Suddenly several buildings within the city below started to come out of the ground and were thrown at the group. Noticing the buildings, Sakura quickly warned her friends about this new threat. "Guys…! Look…!"
The others turned their attention to the gigantic buildings coming right at them. "Dam it all to hell…!"
"MEIDO ZANGETSUHA…!"
"TAILED BEAST BOMB RASENSHURIKEN…!"
"GOLDEN BLAZER…!"
"MEGA FLARE…!"
Naruto, Inuyasha, Spiro, and Sora all responded aggressively with their own attacks, Naruto with several "Tailed Beast Bomb Rasenshuriken", Inuyasha with his Meido Zangetsuha, Spiro with his Golden Blazer, and Sora with his Mega Flare spell. Their attacks destroyed all the buildings without even trying. But while that was going on, Xehanort raised his Keyblades and once again fired a beam of light into the sky. This time however, he opened a portal to yet another world and flew into it.
Aang and Sakura took notice of this.
"Guys, Xehanort's escaping," Aang gasped.
The others took notice of this and realized that the building thing was nothing more than a diversion.
"Quick, after him, don't let him get away," Spiro ordered the others.
Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora then took the air and flew into the portal after Xehanort.
Next thing the group knew, they were all standing in a nearly-empty void of shifting greys and whites.
"What is this place," Sakura gasped.
"I've been here before," Sora explained. "This is The World of Nothing. This is where Riku and I took down Xemnas, Xehanort's Nobody, last year."
"Why would Xehanort bring us here," Naruto asked. "There's nothing everywhere you look…"
"I think it's obvious Blondie," Inuyasha answered. "He wants to finish us and he thinks he can do it here."
Suddenly Xehanort appeared and said, "How observant. But you're wrong about one thing. I don't think, I know I can defeat you here. This place will be your grave and no one will be able to remember you after you have all died."
Everyone turned their attention to Xehanort and prepared to fight.
"We shall see, Xehanort," Spiro argued. "This battle is not over until it is over."
"I agree," Xehanort then summoned his Keyblades again and prepared for one final confrontation. "However, destiny is never left to chance. Everything I have done up to this point was decided. I have guided many to their proper places. Terra, Aqua, and Ventus are fine examples of that. I guided them to where they were, the broken boy who failed to be the blade, the misguided master who sacrificed herself for a friend, and the faceless youth who became my vessel. However, I did not count on you six and your friends coming in and ruining all of my plans, especially you, Naruto Uzumaki."
Naruto smirked, "I guess that proves that destiny isn't set in stone either. I've spent my entire life forging my own destiny, and I know what it is right now; it's taking you down once and for all Xehanort…!"
"And he's not alone," Sora backed up Naruto and stood as his left side. "I'm stopping you as well Xehanort…!"
"Me two," Aang announced while standing next to Naruto's right side.
"Me three," Sakura stood next to Sora's left side.
"No way I'm letting you guys have all the fun," Inuyasha stood at Sakura's left side.
"I shall not be the only one left out of this," Spiro stood at Aang's right side.
Xehanort chuckled, "How sweet. But with the Helmet of Lust at my side, my powers are beyond anything you have ever faced. How could you possibly hope to stop me?"
Inuyasha smirked, "Like the dragon said… together…!"
Spiro then nodded his head, let out a loud roar, and the final battle began.
Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora charged at Xehanort and vice versa and they all clashed. The battle was intense. Sora and Inuyasha slashed at Xehanort with their Keyblade and Tetsusaiga respectively only for Xehanort to barely block them with his own Keyblades. Naruto then came in from behind and once again slammed his Rasengan strait into Xehanort's back, sending him flying. But this time Xehanort was ready as he thrusted his Keyblades into the ground and slowed himself down. But once he stopped, Spiro came in from above and slammed his feet into Xehanort's back, flattening him to the ground.
"EARTHY…!"
Sakura activated the Earthy Card and surrounded Xehanort with several rock pillars, trapping him in a rocky tomb. Spiro flew off of Xehanort before he was entombed and watched Sakura work her magic, literally. But Xehanort was quick to break himself free using a thunder spell on the tomb.
"THUNDAGA…!"
Once Xehanort was free, he was hit by a gust of wind from Aang's airbending and was sent flying back towards Naruto who was ready with another Rasengan. However, Xehanort used his Keyblades to divert Naruto's Rasengan away from him and he slammed into Naruto, pushing him back a bit. Naruto kicked Xehanort off of him and prepared another attack on the Keyblade Master.
"SHADOW CLONE JUTSU…!"
Creating eight shadow clones, Naruto and his clones all harnessed the power of the Tailed Beasts, one for each. While harnessing their power, Naruto and his clones channeled their power into a Rasenshuriken. "Take this…!"
"SAGE ART: SUPER TAILED BEAST RASENSHURIKEN…!"
Naruto and his clones each threw their Rasenshuriken at Xehanort. But Xehanort was quick to respond and used his Keyblades to deflect the Rasenshuriken, sending them flying away from him in different directions, leaving no damage whatsoever to Xehanort himself.
"Darn it," Naruto grunted
Inuyasha then came in with his own attack. "My turn…!"
"MEIDO ZANGETSUHA…!"
Inuyasha fired his Meido Zangetsuha at Xehanort, hoping to get different results than Naruto did. However, Xehanort quickly responded by deflecting the attack with his Keyblades again. The moment the Meido portals were deflected by Xehanort's Keyblades, their energies changed somehow. As the portals opened up, they reviled themselves to be portals to other worlds and even other times in history and the future. These included places like Dwarfs Woodlands, Hollow Bastion, Castle of Dreams, Traverse Town, Enchanted Dimension, Daybreak Town, Wonderland, Twilight Town, Atlantica, Shabuya, Beast's Castle, Land of Departure (having been restored from being Castle Oblivion), Agrabah, 100 Acre Wood, Disney Town (what was left of it), and many more. Everyone was shocked to see this happen right before their eyes, especially Inuyasha and Xehanort.
Naruto looked at one portal and saw that it led to his home world. What he saw was his home, Konoha, under siege. "My village…!"
Sakura looked at another portal and saw that it led to hers and Inuyasha's home world. What she saw was her home, Tomoeda, being covered in Darkness. "My town…!"
Inuyasha looked at the portal right next to him and saw that it led to his era in time. He saw Kaede's village being attacked by many Heartless and Nobodies and Kagome's home, Tokyo, being in the same condition as Tomoeda. "The village…! Kagome's home…!"
Spiro looked at the two portals in front of him. He saw that one of them led back to his home world Draco Sanctuary while the other led back to Lilly's home world Homo Sanctuary. What he saw was the capital cities of Darmorce and Uther were under siege. "The kingdom…! Lilly…!"
Aang gazed at the portal right behind him and saw that it led to his home world. He saw that Earth Kingdom capital of Ba Sing Se was in dire trouble. "Ba Sing Se…!"
Sora looked at yet another portal and saw that it led back to Yen Sid's Tower. He saw that the others were safe for the time being but knew that they had to hurry. He also looked through a portal that led to his home world Destiny Islands. "My Islands…! Our friends…!"
Sora and the others then turned his attention to Xehanort who was actually intrigued by this discovery.
"How interesting," Xehanort smiled. "It appears that the contact between those meido portals and the Keyblades changed them into portals into other worlds and times."
In another world, two young girls were walking down a street of what appeared to be a small town. One of these girls had golden blonde hair in a ponytail, fair skin, sapphire blue eyes and was wearing a light blue school uniform with a Mickey Mouse badge on the skirt. The other had wavy orange hair in two pigtails and wearing a matching uniform.
"Talk about an eventful day," said the blonde, feeling rather exhausted.
"Oh come on Kilala, this is the third time," said the girl with the pigtails. "You're never going to make the cut for the princess contest if you keep this up."
"Tell me something I don't know Erica," said Kilala. "But still, I just can't wait to become a princess, just like the Disney…"
Then right in the middle of her speech, Kilala and Erica along with the rest of the town noticed a large portal open in the sky. What they saw inside was the battle between Xehanort and the six young heroes, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora.
In Konoha, everyone was battling the invading Heartless and Nobodies when they saw the sky "open up".
"Hey guys, look," Konohamaru pointed to the portal.
Everyone suddenly stopped as they gazed at the portal and saw Naruto battling Xehanort alongside Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora. The sight was something they had never seen before.
"Naruto," Kakashi gasped.
In Suna, the shinobi of the sand were seeing the exact same thing from another portal in the sky.
"What's going on up there," Temari gasped.
"It looks like Naruto is fighting that Xehanort guy, who I'm guessing is that old guy with the beard," Kankuro answered through what he saw.
"Naruto," Gaara said worryingly.
In Iwaga, the stone ninja were witnessing this as well through still another portal in the sky.
"If that's true, then those others must be the magician, the samurai, the dragon, and the monk the Kazekage told ups about," Onoki said to his granddaughter.
"Are you sure Grandfather," Kurotsuchi asked.
In Kiriga, the mist ninja saw the battle through a fourth portal.
"I must say that Inuyasha guy is a sight for sour eyes," said Mei upon noticing Inuyasha through the portal.
"Lady Mizukage, this isn't the time for daydreaming," Chojuro reminded Mei.
In Kumoga, the cloud ninja were witnessing the battle through a fifth portal.
"So, that's Xehanort," A pointed out. "Hokage, I hope you know what you're doing…!"
"Yo Bro, have a little faith in Naruto ya fool, ya fool," Killer B said to A.
In Tomoeda, the citizens were still being evacuated when they saw a portal open up in the sky.
"Hey guys, is that Sakura," Rika pointed to Sakura through the portal.
The rest of Sakura's classmates noticed too and were shocked.
"Oh my god, it is Sakura," Chiharu noticed. "And she's with that Inuyasha guy and several other people."
"And it looks like they're battling some old guy with a helmet," Naoko said more amazed than shocked. "It's almost like… we're watching a superhero conflict."
Toya noticed this too and was worried for his sister. "Sakura…!"
At Higurashi Shrine, Kagome's friends and family were witnessing the same thing through the same portal in the sky.
Sota noticed the battle and noted on Inuyasha, "Mom, look…! It's Inuyasha…!"
Kira noticed this too and nodded, "Yes Sota, it is."
"What the hell are you doing Mutt," Koga grunted upon not seeing Kagome anywhere. "You had better not have let anything happen to Kagome…!"
In Downtown Tokyo, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents also noticed what was going on, though they were closest to the portal in the sky.
"What the hell," Hawkeye gasped.
"It's those kids," Mockingbird noted upon seeing Sakura, Inuyasha, Naruto and Sora before noticing Aang and Spiro. "But who are those two?"
"I don't know," Black Widow answered, noticing Xehanort. "But I'll bet they're all fighting Xehanort."
Hawkeye then said, "Okay, I don't know what's freaker Natasha, the giant hole in the sky or the fact that you know that old man up there is Xehanort!"
Meanwhile, Agent Coulson was still talking with Agent Hill when he noticed the event. "Hill, you're not going to believe this."
"Let me guess, there's a giant hole in the sky and a big battle going on inside it between the kids you told me about," said Agent Hill.
"Is there one over where you're at," Agent Coulson asked.
"There are ones all over the world Coulson," Agent Hill informed him. "Everyone is watching this. The Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Inhumans, even Hydra and A.I.M."
In Kaede's Village, all of the villagers had been evacuated when the portal appeared in the sky.
"Lady Kaede, look," one of the villagers pointed to the portal in the sky.
Kaede saw the portal and noted seeing Inuyasha there. "Oh ay… Inuyasha…!"
Ayame, Ginta and Hakkanu were guarding the villagers when they too noticed the portal in the sky.
"Hey look, it's Inuyasha," Ginta gasped.
"Yeah, but who are those other," Hakkanu asked.
"More importantly, where's Koga," Ayame asked worryingly.
At the center of the village, Sesshomaru and Jaken were handling the Heartless and the Nobodies when they too saw the portal.
"Lord Sesshomaru, do you think that that man is the source of all the trouble that's been going on lately," Jaken asked.
Sesshomaru said nothing and narrowed his eyes at the "Helmet of Lust" Xehanort was wearing. "So that's the "Helmet of Lust"," he thought, taking not of Tenseiga shaking. "It would appear that it has a similar presence to the So'unga. So the legends are true…"
In Darmorce, the Elemental Darts had their paws full when they noticed the big portal about the city.
"Elemental Darts, I see our leader," Bronze informed the others.
"Spiro; what's going on up there," Frostina asked.
"Apparently, Spiro found the Keyblade Wielder," Saika noted upon seeing Sora with his Keyblades.
"Keyblade Wielders you mean," Zack noticed Xehanort.
"I don't believe that older one is one we can trust," Jason could sense that Xehanort was not a friend. "Spiro and those others seem to be fighting him."
"He must be Xehanort," Mole noted.
"Then that younger one must be Sora or one of his friends," Serpentina pointed out.
"But who are those others," Maya asked.
"They must be the magician, samurai, ninja, and monk Alopheya told us about," Mailing answered.
At the castle, Queen Crystal noticed this too. "So, those are the Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Aang, and Sora that Alopheya informed us about. I just hope they will be enough to take down Xehanort."
"So do I, your majesty, so do I," said General Talon.
In Uther, Lilly and her friends were still evacuating the civilians when they too noticed a big portal about the capital.
"Lilly, Bob, look, it's Spiro," Ally pointed to the portal.
Lilly and Bob noticed the portal and saw Spiro.
"Oh my god," Bob gasped. "What's going on up there?"
"It looks like Spiro is fighting some big bad guy with a bunch of other people," Ally answered.
Lilly said nothing as she was worried about her friend. "Spiro…!"
In Ba Sing Se, Aang's friends were holding their own against the Heartless and the Nobodies when they saw Aang through a portal in the sky.
"Holy spirits," Suki gasped as she and the Kyoshi Warriors were fighting the Heartless and the Nobodies.
"What is it," Toph asked since she could not see.
"It's Aang, and he's fighting some man with a bunch of other people," Ty Lee informed Toph.
At the same time, Zuko and Mai were witnessing the same thing through another portal above the Fire Nation Capital.
"Well, you wanted something more exciting," Zuko said the Mai. "Is that exciting enough for you?"
Mai responded teasingly, "I believe that's more than enough excitement for me. I just wish I could be a part of that battle."
At the North Pole, the Northern Water Tribe were also seeing the battle through a third portal in the sky.
"What is the meaning of this," Arnook gasped.
"Apparently father, Aang is fighting the man responsible for all this madness," Yue said to her father. "And it appears he's fighting alongside friends."
On Destiny Islands, Tidus, Selphie, and Wakka were on the beach minding their own business when they noticed Sora through a portal in the sky.
"Hey guys, is that Sora," Tidus pointed out.
"Oh my god, it is Sora," Selphie gasped upon seeing her childhood friend.
"What is going on up there," Wakka questioned. "Who are those others with him, and who's that guy they're fighting?"
At Yen Sid's Tower, the others noticed the large portal appear in the sky and saw Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora battling Xehanort. Tomoyo took notice of this and started filming the battle with her camera.
"No," Yen Sid thought when he noticed this. "Now everyone knows of the existence of other worlds! Everything we have stood for, everything we have vowed to prevent for a long time has been ruined. The order we have vowed to keep is broken."
Everyone else however was more worried about what was going on in the battle.
"Our friends," Aqua gasped.
Hinata, Syaoran, Kagome, Tasha, Katara, and Kairi all gasped upon seeing their loved ones respectively.
"Aang…!"
"Sakura…!"
"Spiro…!"
"Inuyasha…!"
"Sora…!"
"Naruto…!"
Meanwhile Kilala and Erica were still watching the battle unfold. Both girls didn't know what to make of it.
"What's going on up there," Kilala gasped. "Who are those guys?"
"I don't know," Erica answered.
Suddenly, a small pink flying mouse wearing a ribbon came out of Kilala's backpack and hopped onto her shoulder.
"Tippe," Kilala gasped. "Stay close, we don't know what's happening."
Next thing Kilala knew, she caught a glimpse of what she recognized as castles and palaces of her favorite Disney Princesses. However, she didn't have time to marvel at what she saw as she and Erica were forced to run to safety.
In the World of Nothing, Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora were still battling Xehanort with everything they had. As they fought, Xehanort's powers continued to increase and his dark aura grew stronger due to the Helmet of Lust's powers. The battle became increasingly difficult for the group because of this as their own powers did not increase as fast as Xehanort's. One point, Xehanort unleashed a shockwave that sent them all flying away from him and onto their backs. While on the ground, the group was still shocked that portals to so many different worlds had opened up, especially Sora. He knew that it was a Keyblade Wielder's job to keep order and not let other words know about the existence of each other. He already stretch it when he brought Naruto and his friends along for the ride, even more so when Sakura, Inuyasha, Aang, Spiro, and their friends joined in the party, but now the code has been officially broken.
"I'm actually glad that all these portals are open," Xehanort chuckled. "Now that your home worlds are watching this battle, all of your friends and family can sit back and watch you die."
Naruto got back on his feet and shouted, "Don't you ever shut up…!"
This caught Xehanort's attention.
"It's always the same thing with you big bad masterminds," Naruto continued. "You have so much power and you think you're so smart, so you want to intimidate your opponents to stop fighting you…! But guess what…! No matter what you do, we will never give up…!"
Spiro then got back on his feet and said, "This is your last chance Xehanort…! Stop this now and we will allow you to roam free…!"
Xehanort chuckled, "What makes you think I would?"
"That helmet of yours is messing with your head," Inuyasha replied after getting back on his feet. "There's a strong demonic aura coming from it…! Your mind was already messed up as it is and helmet isn't helping…!"
As Sakura, Aang, and Sora got back on their feet, Xehanort answered, "Like I said before, it's too late…!"
Xehanort then charged at the group one by one, slashing at them with his Keyblades while they blocked it with their own weapons. As they blocked it Xehanort's attacks, they attempted to counter attack with their own abilities, but to no avail.
"RASENGAN…!"
Naruto charged in with a Rasengan to the chest, but Xehanort counted with his Keyblades.
"DARK CANNON…!"
Xehanort fired a beam of concentrated energy at Naruto, sending him flying away and causing him to crash into the floor. The force of the energy beam knocked him out and caused Six Paths Chakra Cloak to dispel, leaving him venerable.
"Naruto," Everyone else gasped upon seeing Naruto knocked out.
Acting fast, Spiro looked to Sora and ordered him, "Sora, go help Naruto…! We'll hold Xehanort off…!"
Without hesitation, Sora did as he was told and went to go heal Naruto, leaving Sakura, Spiro, Aang, and Inuyasha to face Xehanort alone.
At Yen Sid's Tower, Hinata witnessed Naruto getting attacked and knocked out and wanted to rush in to help the man she loved. However, Aladdin and Beast stopped her from going through with that by holding her arms.
"Naruto…!"
Suddenly more Heartless and Nobodies showed up and managed to get through the barrier. As they approached the tower, Tasha took charge and told the others, "Everyone, get into the tower…!"
At the battle, Sora was healing Naruto while the others were fighting Xehanort. Inuyasha came in and slashed his Tetsusaiga against the Keyblade Master, but Xehanort blocked him at every turn with his Keyblades. While they were in a sword dual, Sakura activated one of her cards.
"FIREY…!"
Activating the Firey Card, Sakura surrounded Inuyasha and Xehanort in a superhot flaming vortex. Inuyasha's kimono protected him from the flames and he walked outside of the vortex, but Xehanort was trapped inside.
"My turn," Inuyasha announced.
"WIND SCAR…!"
Inuyasha unleashed his Wind Scar at the vortex, causing more damage to Xehanort from the inside. However, Xehanort soon emerged from the vortex seemingly unharmed by their combined attack. Xehanort charged in to attack them, but Spiro came in from behind and bit the back off his neck, stopping him in his tracks. Xehanort tried to shake the firedrake off, but Spiro held on with his razor-sharp claws. Aang then approached Xehanort and prepared to remove the Helmet of Lust from his head. But before Aang could remove the helmet, Xehanort once again unleashed an energy shockwave that sent him and Spiro flying away from him.
"SHIELD…!"
Acting quick, Sakura activated the Shield Card and protected herself and Inuyasha from the shockwave. But the moment Sakura's barrier blocked the shockwave, it was instantly dispelled and Xehanort took the opportunity to attack her.
"Oh, no you don't," Inuyasha intercepted Xehanort's attack at the last second, protecting Sakura from being killed.
Inuyasha and Xehanort clashed swords for the third time in this battle. Clash after clash between their swords missed the mark of one another's flesh.
"DARK LINK…!"
Just then, Sora came back into the battle and attacked Xehanort with a shotlock ability he gained from Ventus. The one he was using was the Dark Link, a giant beam of concentrated energy, the exact opposite to Xehanort's Dark Cannon. The moment Xehanort was hit by the Dark Link, he was sent flying much the same way Naruto was sent flying when he hit him with his Dark Cannon. But rather than crashing into the floor, he used his barrier to protect his body from any damage. When Sora was done using the Dark Link, Xehanort prepared for a counter attack. "My turn…!"
"DARK CANNON…!"
Xehanort fired his Dark Cannon at Sora.
"You're not getting me too," Sora shouted.
"DARK LINK…!"
Sora quickly countered Xehanort's Dark Cannon with his Dark Link. But when the two beams collided, Xehanort's Dark Cannon began to overpower Sora's Dark Link and push it back. Because the Helmet of Lust had amplified Xehanort's powers, his Dark Cannon was far stronger than Sora's Dark Link. All seemed lost for Sora until…
"TAILED BEAST BOMB…!"
Naruto rejoined the battle in full Six Paths Sage Mode and fired a Tailed Beast Bomb at Xehanort's Dark Cannon, aiding Sora's Dark Link. The combined power of the two beam attacks was enough to slow the Dark Cannon down to one tenth its original speed. Despite that, the Dark Cannon was still coming at them with everything Xehanort had.
"Darn it, it's not enough," Naruto thought.
The others saw what was going on and one by one, they joined Naruto and Sora in countering the Dark Cannon.
"MEGA TREACHER…!"
"BACKLASH WAVE…!"
Spiro and Inuyasha were the first to join in with their most powerful attacks, the Mega Treture (the more powerful version of the Golden Blazer) and the Backlash respectively. Both attacks along with the Tailed Beast Bomb and Dark Link were powerful enough to almost stop the Dark Cannon in its tracks. However it was still not enough as Xehanort's Dark Cannon continued to move towards them by one centimeter every second.
Aang then joined in as he used his full Avatar State to bend all four elements and his own energy into a concentrated beam of elemental energy. With his added power, the tables started to turn to on Xehanort's Dark Cannon as it was starting to be forced back from their combined might. Sakura was the only one left to add her power. As she prepared to join the struggle, she looked to her cards told them telepathically, "Firey, Watery, Windy, Earthy, Light, Dark, I need you all to transfer your power into the Shot Card. I need the Shot Card more than anything to help my friends stop Xehanort's attack and defeat him. Please empower the Shot Card with your elemental energy. Kero and Yue will help too."
The Elemental Cards did as Sakura said and transferred their powers to the Shot Card, amplifying its power in the process. Once this was done Sakura flew to her friends and activated the Shot Card, firing a beam of concentrated lunar and solar energy from her staff.
"SHOT CARD…!"
With Sakura's power added, Xehanort's Dark Cannon was finally overpowered and force back. "What…!"
Xehanort watched in horror as Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora's combined attack overpowered his Dark Cannon and came at him. Xehanort quickly activated his barrier to protect himself, but it was no use. The combined attack shattered his barrier like an egg shell and struck him with a force like none he had ever seen before. The blast caused a giant explosion of energy far more powerful than any nuclear weapon.
"SHIELD…!"
Sakura quickly activated the Shield Card and used it to protect herself and her friends from the explosion. When the blast faded, Xehanort was seen lying on the ground, his front pointing to the sky and his armor gone.
"Did we win," Sakura asked.
"Yeah, I think we did," Naruto answered.
"No," Spiro disagreed. "As long as he's wearing that helmet, he will keep coming at us with everything he's got. We must secure that helmet before he regains consciousness."
"I agree," said Sora.
"Yeah," Inuyasha agreed.
Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora then started approaching Xehanort with caution. They prepared themselves for anything, as Xehanort could still be conscious for all they knew. Once they reached him, they all gathered around the Keyblade Master and prepared for anything he might try. Sakura got near his head, Naruto got near his right arm, Sora got near his left arm, Spiro got near his right leg, Inuyasha got near his left leg, and Aang walked up Xehanort and prepared to remove the Helmet of Lust.
"It's time to take that helmet off," Aang reached down to take the helmet.
But just as Aang reached down the take the helmet off, Xehanort opened his eyes and unleashed his shockwave attack, sending the whole group flying a few feet away from him. Xehanort then slowly got back on his feet and prepared for one more round with his young adversaries. This time however all the damage he had taken over the course of this battle was finally taking its toll on his body. He was panting heavily and he could barely hold his up Keyblades in his hands. Blood could be seen trickling down his mouth, his skin was covered in numerous burn marks, cuts and bruises, and his garments were all tattered up and covered in combat dust. All and all, Xehanort looked as if he was ready to fight to the death. "This… isn't… over…!"
The group got back on their feet quickly and saw Xehanort's state. Naruto, Inuyasha, Spiro, and Sora looked at Xehanort with concern while Aang and Sakura were horrified by what they saw. They knew Xehanort was willing to fight to the death and wanted him to stop before he killed himself.
"Xehanort stop," Aang called out. "You can't fight anymore…! If you keep doing this to yourself, you'll die…!"
"I'm aware of that, Avatar Aang," Xehanort panted before raising his Keyblade. "That's why I'm going to transfer my heart to another…!"
Xehanort then attempted to transfer his heart to one of them and chose Inuyasha. Taking his right Keyblade, the Keyblade Master extracted his heart and sent it right towards the half-demon, attempting to implant it in him.
At Yen Sid's Tower, Kagome noticed what Xehanort was trying to do and prepared her bow to save Inuyasha. "Oh, no you don't…!"
Kagome fired her arrow through the portal at Xehanort's heart and stopped him before the ritual could be completed.
The moment Kagome's arrow hit Xehanort's heart, it returned to Xehanort's body, much to his surprise. He looked around and saw Kagome with her bow through the portal to Yen Sid's Tower and realizes she intercepted him. "You…!? Don't you see this doesn't concern you!?"
"That's enough," Naruto ran up to Xehanort from behind and snatched the Helmet of Lust right off of his head.
The moment the helmet was off of Xehanort's head, his power began to drop rapidly and he returned to normal. Xehanort was shocked once he noticed Naruto removed the Helmet of Lust from his head. He felt his power fall rapidly and fell to his knees, dropping his Keyblades in the process. "No…! This can't be real…! This was not supposed to happen…!"
Xehanort then placed his hands on his face and started screaming so loud, people could hear him from miles away. After screaming, Xehanort looked upon Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora who were all glaring at him.
"We tried to warn you Xehanort," said Spiro. "Now, it's all over."
But Xehanort was not about to give up and replied, "Not yet…! I'll just transfer my heart to Sora like I wanted to in the first place…!"
Xehanort then picked up his right Keyblade and prepared once again to transfer his heart into another. But as he activated his Keyblade, Sakura's magic circle appeared on both the eye near the tip and ox-like form near the hilt on either side of the Keyblade. Chains then erupted from those circles and began wrapping around Xehanort and ensnaring him in a cocoon. Xehanort was shocked upon seeing this and tried to fight back against the chains. But sadly, he was too exhausted from the battle and couldn't fight back. "What's going on," he asked.
Spiro answered bluntly, "You have been sealed."
"What," Xehanort gasped.
"It wasn't that heard," Sora replied. "We had Sakura place a sealing spell on your Keyblade and it would only activate when you tried to transfer your heart to another and if you were too weak to continue fighting."
Sakura then brought out the Lock Card explained, "All I had to do was touch your Keyblade with this card and the spell was cast."
"What, but how," Xehanort questioned while still trying to fight the chains. "You never touched my Keyblade with any of your cards…"
But then Xehanort remembered back at the castle when Sakura "dropped" one of her cards in the battle and it somehow touched his Keyblade while she tried to retrieve it and he tried to slice her in half. "Back at the castle," he gasped. "The card you dropped when I hit you and Sora with that shockwave… When I attempted to cut you in half… That was the card you "dropped"…?"
Sakura nodded, letting Xehanort know that it was true. "Adding Naruto's Adamantine Sealing Chains and Aang's Energybending made it work."
Flashback:
"Guys, I think I have an idea," Sakura told the others.
"You do," Naruto asked.
"We can't kill Xehanort and we can't let him rome free," Sakura explained. "But what if we seal him away?"
"That's impossible," said Sora. "Xehanort is too powerful to be sealed away. Even if we were successful, he could just free himself using his Keyblade."
"But what if his Keyblade was his prison," Sakura asked.
Everyone was surprised.
"It's simple," Sakura continued. "If we seal Xehanort inside his own Keyblade, he won't be able to use it to free himself. He'll be trapped."
Everyone thought about it for a moment and realized that Sakura was right.
"That sounds like a plan to me," Kero admitted.
"I agree," said Inuyasha. "But how are we going to seal away someone like Xehanort?"
Sakura then pulled out the Lock Card. "This card should do the trick. If I touch Xehanort's Keyblade with the Lock Card, I should be able to place a seal on it."
Everyone looked at the Lock Card before Sora said, "That's not going to be enough Sakura."
"But maybe if we added something to it," Naruto stated.
"I have a solution," Kurama interjected.
"What would that be," Spiro asked.
Kurama explained. "Naruto's mother used a technique called the Adamantine Sealing Chains to bind me long ago. If we add those to Sakura's card, they should help."
"Oh yeah," said Naruto. "I remember seeing those things when I met my mother's spirit."
"I should probably add my Energybending to it as well," Aang interjected.
"I can help with that," Raava agreed.
"We'll help out to," said Kero as he and Yue placed their hand and paw respectively on the Lock Card.
Naruto, Aang, Kurama, and Raava then placed their hands or tentacles on the Lock Card as well. Naruto transferred his Adamantine Sealing Chains into the Lock Card and Aang helped out with his Energybnding, with Kurama and Raava guiding them respectively.
Once they were done, Sakura explained, "The spell won't activate until Xehanort tries to transfer his heart into another vestil like his did to Terra. But it has to make physical contact with his Keyblade in order for it to work."
Sora looked around before saying, "Okay, say this all works and we successfully place that seal on Xehanort's Keyblade, Xehanort is too powerful, especially with that helmet on."
"Then all we have to do is weaken him," Spiro pointed out. "And we must get that helmet off of his head."
End of Flashback:
"So that was your plan all along," Xehanort shouted. "You set me up…! You tricked me…!"
"You should talk," Naruto replied. "You set us up first."
"Indeed," Spiro agreed. "
"Why you little," said Xehanort. "Who would thought I would be outsmarted by a group of children."
"I supposed it's true that we're just children compared to you," Naruto echoed Kakashi's words. "But it works both ways. To quote Kakashi Sensei, in our eyes you're just an old geezer who's time has run out. It's only natural for the next generation to surpass the previous one."
Xehanort then grinned and chuckled, "I suppose it does, and I must admit, this was a good plan, sealing me inside my own Keyblade, very clever. You might think I'm out of your way, but trust me, I will be back." Those were Xehanort's last words before being completely wrapped up by the chains and pulled into his own Keyblade, thus ending his reign of terror.
Once Xehanort was sealed into his Keyblade, his younger self's Keyblade disappeared while his usual Keyblade fell to the ground. Naruto, Sakura, Inuyasha, Spiro, Aang, and Sora panted heavily as they realized they have won.
And that was chapter 20. Well there you have it. Xehanort has been defeated and the group is about ready to celebrate. But not so fast, the other worlds just saw their battle which means they know of the existence of other worlds now, so the jig is up for all the Keyblade Wielders. Well I introduced Kilala Reno along with his friend Erica Ange and her pet Tippe. I know it seems out of place for me to introduce them now, but there is a reason for it. I said before that Kilala would be involved in this, and this was just a hint of what her involvement will be.
Next up will be the final chapter in this fanfiction where everyone finally goes home to their homeworlds. I will also explain Kilala's part in this at last. Stay tuned, we're almost done.
