Chapter 21: Perversion unlocked and Memories regained
A week after the unexpected capture of Saphirix, reuniting her with Skolas and getting the name of the one responsible for making an army of Fallen-Hive hybrids, the Sin trio was continuing to relax. Vulcan was still in the Reef spending time with Mara while the two Exos were in the Tower. What were they doing?
Well…
"A-Alex, knock it off!"" Cortona squeaked as she tried to get away from Alex.
"Come on, Cortona! This is for science!" Alex said as he kept chasing after her.
After realizing that the female Exo had ballistics on her body instead of actual metal, Alex had decided to learn as much as he could about this in the most perverted way possible… By groping her constantly, much to Snake's and Hawk's exasperation. The male Exo had made sure to time his attempts at least, and so he made sure that he did this in private places, like in either of their rooms.
Like right now.
Cortona dodged another groping attempt and made Alex crash into the wall of his room, where Nyx chirped in amusement from the bed.
"This is getting annoying…" Alex groaned as he got up. "I don't get it. We used to be lovers in a past life, so what gives?"
"If we used to be lovers, then I can't remember that." The female Exo replied in annoyance before something entered her head. "In fact, when Hawk found me, the only memory of you I had was of your face." She said thoughtfully.
"Well that's a given, all Guardians lose their memory when they're first risen. We Exos are the exception, but we can only restore ours through triggers." Alex explained as he faced her. "My trigger was your name."
"What's mine, then?" Cortona asked as she looked down.
"I don't know, but we'll figure it out." The male Exo replied as he hugged her. The Exo Stormcaller sighed as she leaned into his embrace. If they were lovers before, then his hugs were certainly something she enjoyed a lot.
"Don't." The woman warned as she sensed his arm about to grope her right breast.
"Damn." He whispered. Cortona smacked his shoulder in response.
"You're hopeless, you know that?" She asked without breaking the hug.
"Hey, not my fault." The man said as he hugged her closer. "I definitely can see why I loved you in our last life. You were, and still are, beautiful."
The female Exo's heating systems flushed near her face in response to his words. Despite her mind not knowing him that well, her soul seemed touched by his words.
"And you're very sweet." She whispered back.
"It's part of who I am." He whispered back. Right at that moment, however…
"EEP!" Cortona suddenly squeaked as something wriggled around under her robes toward the top. Alex pulled away and looked at whatever it was moving around. Soon enough it reached the top of the female Exo's robes and out came Nyx with an audible pop, the pudgy Hive Worm looking proud of herself.
"N-N-Nyyyx!" Cortona whined in embarrassment. Alex could only laugh at the sight.
"Oh man, I wish I had a camera! … Wait. Snake! Take a picture! Quickly!" He ordered his Ghost.
Snake did so as Nyx nuzzled Cortona's cheek as her plump worm-like body wriggled in between the female Exo's breasts. Cortona felt the movements and her cheeks flushed even more in embarrassment since she oddly liked the way it felt and decided to nuzzle the small sweetie back.
Alex looked at the sight and smiled. Nyx had definitely gotten a special place in Cortona's heart for sure. He then smirked and groped her left breast from behind, causing the female Exo to squeak in surprise before turning to him.
"Will you knock that off?!" She tried to glare, but Nyx was still in her robes and her cheeks were still flushed so it failed.
Alex just gave her a mechanical smile and nuzzled into the woman's neck along with Nyx, the two showing just how much they loved her. Cortona's face somehow flushed even more but she still smiled as she held them both close before they fell on the bed and snuggled even more there.

-Awoken Imperial Library, The Reef-
Vulcan was currently walking along the rows of books while Mara laid on her side on a couch in the library. As he pulled out one of the books, Mara called for him to come to her.
"Vulcan, come here please." She called. Vulcan closed the book he was reading and sighed as he walked over to her. He still didn't like it when she told him what to do.
"Yes?" He asked, walking in front of her as she laid on her side, unintentionally looking very alluring.
"I wish for you to read this to me." She told him, handing him a book, it was 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' by William Shakespeare.
"... Why?" He asked in confusion.
"I am in need of something to entertain me." The woman stated. Vulcan took the book, looked at it for a few seconds and then tossed it aside.
"You know I don't like being told what to do." He told her. "But fine, I will recite the play. But I will do so from memory. And only if you ask me, politely." He added with an authoritative firmness.
"Then do so." She told him. When he didn't do anything, she let out a sigh. "Oh alright, please?" She asked. Vulcan nodded in satisfaction at her correction.
With that he spent the next hour reciting all acts of the play from memory, though at certain points he had to stop because he kept experiencing strange headaches. Once he was finished, Mara beckoned him to sit with her as she massaged his head by running her fingers through his hair to help ease his headaches.
"What is causing these….?" The Titan groaned to himself.
"I do not know." The Queen said as she continued to massage his hair.
The Awoken man decided to try and take his mind off of it by reading the book he picked out. It was a book about the stories of the Queen's past lovers, though as he was reading it, something in his mind suddenly clicked when he saw his name mentioned among them.
Flashes of brief and scattered memories came to him. Some were of his family, his days as a weaponsmith, his days as Mara's war adviser, and then finally, the two Awoken's long and amorous affair, part of which involved him reading stories to her.
"I… I remember…" He breathed.
"Remember what, my champion?" She asked him, arms wrapped around his shoulders.
"Everything. Bits and pieces at least." He answered. "Enough for the Techeuns to possibly rebuild my memories, but I'm not sure." He added.
"What stood out to you the most?" The Queen questioned, making him look at her as she held him into her chest.
"That we used to be lovers." The man said as he sat up. "Petra said in my past life we were close, but I never knew how close. Why was this never mentioned?"
Mara was silent, mostly from momentary shock as she tried to come up with an answer to his question. "It was because of your status as a Guardian. We weren't sure if your memories could be recovered." She replied.
Vulcan nodded. "I see." He then grasped her hand as his large hand completely covered hers. "Well I'm glad that I was able to remember at least something."
"So am I." The Awoken woman whispered as she gently kissed his forehead.
(A few days later)
Alex was now checking in with Cayde again after the Hunter Vanguard had told him he had a mission he wanted to brief him about before his vacation time was up. One that involved the Vex stronghold known as the Vault of Glass.
"You want me to lead a team of six and storm it?" The younger Exo questioned his mentor.
"Yep. But be careful, the last fire team to go in didn't do so well. In fact, only one came out of there alive." The older Exo explained.
"And who was that?" Alex asked with a raised eye-plate.
"A Hunter like us, he had a machine gun called the Super Good Advice." Cayde said. "But he was killed by the Dark Guardian Dredgen Yor."
"If that guy isn't dead, I'll reap his soul." Alex muttered darkly.
"So I'd suggest bringing your A game." The man said. "Cuz if we want the Traveler to continue to recover, the Vault has to be destroyed."
"You got it." The Dragon Sin nodded.

-Hellmouth, moon-
At the entrance of the Hellmouth on the moon, a dirtied, battered and bruised figure stumbled out of it. Upon closer inspection it could be seen to be a woman with pale skin and was dressed in odd brown and green garb, who also had a blindfold on her face that hid three glowing green eyes and leaked black viscous liquid down her face. In one of her hands she clutched a glowing green fragment of Ahamkara bone which was surrounded by green flames.
"His return draws near…" She said before gritting her teeth as pain rocked her body again. "I need to warn them!" She said to herself.
With that, she limped off to try and find a way off the moon. Eris Morn of the Hidden, was coming home.
