An underwater drone's camera focuses on the S.S Leviathan Carrier Class Submarine as it propels itself through the water. The Camera zooms on the front window the bridge crew at their various stations. The Captain was at the steering station while other penguins rush around doing various tasks.
Suddenly the view switches to another cam pan around Hanger bay A. It zooms by Waterjet that was being serviced as a Jeep speeds by. The Camera than spins and zooms in on a slightly larger Waterjet that was currently mounted into a loading dock in the ceiling. It then zooms towards Kowalski who is sitting in some kind of control room
The view switches to a camera behind Kowalski. Kowalski dramatically spins around in his chair, "welcome to another ocean-tastic invention vlog…coming to you from the bowels of the S.S Leviathan!"
Kowalski then grabs the camera and turn it to show the watercraft currently mounted to the ceiling of the hanger, "and that is the WJ-101B…The Waterjet Bomber!"
[name: WJ-101B/Waterjet Bomber]
[type: Submersible craft]
[odds of threatening to destroy the entire world: N/A]
[DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION]
"IT is basically the Waterjet only larger and with a large weapons bay on the bottom," Kowalski said, "don't worry the cockpit is completely separate from the bomb bay."
[Workings of the Invention]
"the Waterjet bomb is basically just a slow-moving bomb carrying device," Kowalski said, "that can drop depth charges or torpedoes onto a target…or release a swarm of mines."
"The cockpit contains three seats…two front facing ones for the pilot and offensive gunner, and one inside the craft facing the bomb bay for the bombardier."
"because it only has front facing laser guns…and super slow…and prone to attack from the sides and rear…it needs to be escorted and protected by faster attack craft. Plus, a larger sub like the S.S. Leviathan for long-range cover fire."
"Once it is escorted to an enemy vessel…and its defenders deal with any enemy fighter vessels it will release it's explosive cargo to 'soften up' the enemy vessel."
"because of poor maneuverability it is suggested that you send waves of these crafts at enemy sub fleets or seafloor bases. As turning around is a difficult and slow process. Plus, if it get stuck on the seafloor…well…it explodes."
"Because of this it should only be used in deep water, the open ocean, floating at the surface, and other deep-water environments…and is not for operating in shallow, brackish, or coastal waters. Also because of the wide turning radius, slow maneuvering, and no ability to react fast enough…it should not be used in waters filled with icebergs and ice flows…"
"now…on to the testing…" Kowalski said.
[testing of the invention]
Torpedo drop
The Waterjet bomber moves through the water its propellers in the back sounding like the engines of a B-32 bomber. A few waterjets escorted it for safety reasons on the look out for any enemies. The view switches to camera inside the sealed bomber seat facing the flooded bomb storage area. The bomb bay doors were open as four torpedoes are released.
A camera mounted on a drone recorded the torpedoes dropping away from the bomb bay before activating their thrusters and shooting towards a rock ahead of the bomber. The rock exploded as the bomb bay doors closed.
Depth charge drop
The escorting waterjets and drones backed up to a safe distance as the Waterjet Bomb released depth charges. The depth charges exploded shortly after touching the sea floor. The bomber's escorts returned once the seafloor settled.
Front facing lasers
The Lasers fire out the twin laser guns lighting up and destroying a nearby rock
Mine dropping
Twenty waterjets escorted three bombs as they drop lines of underwater mines.
Weapon swarming
Torpedoes flew at the target as mine surrounded it. The Waterjet Bomber 'flew' overhead and released depth charges as the target explodes. The depth charges hit the target and blew up it's remains setting off the mines which ensured target destruction.
[Final notes]
"as you can see, the waterjet bomber is perfect for underwater ranged attacks or bombing runs," Kowalski said, "maneuverability, speed, and offensive attacks…not so much."
"bombing runs put the bombers and its escorting craft at risk…but is an effective strategy"
"and now the S.S. Leviathan has four in its collection," Kowalski said, "with plans to add more Waterjet bomber docks to it's hangers."
"now wait until you see the next waterjet I have planned," Kowalski said.
