Before the chapter starts I just wanna say Happy Birthday to Angie Harmon, she brought Jane Rizzoli to life and I am forever thankful. Anyways I hope you readers enjoy this chapter. Also letting you know that Lydia and her storyline don't exist in this story like it did on the show.

Soon the time Maura and Jane shared was over, people had started coming Angela and Korsak were the first ones. Angela and Maura both had swapped stories about how their significant others proposed. Jane and Korsak just shared a look and both were equally amused. They just clinked their glasses of eggnog together. They both let Angela and Maura talk while they went to go watch something on tv.

"That was quite a ring on her finger there Jane, pretty expensive wasn't it?"

Jane nodded, "Oh yes it definitely was, but she deserved it. I like her wearing it," Jane leaned back on the couch and smiled. "She told me she was going to propose to me but she didn't have a ring yet. It's nice we both felt like that was where our relationship was going. She bought me season tickets to the Red Sox and we are going to be spending New Year's Eve weekend in New York City. We're getting married in the Spring, that'd be the shit if we got married in Fenway Park," Jane grinned momentarily thinking about it. "Anyways when did you and Ma discuss that you're going to get married."

Korsak quite enjoyed how happy Jane was, "She definitely knows how to treat you properly. Me and Angela haven't really discussed anything about when, but we've decided to get married at the courthouse. We don't need something big, plus your mother already suggested she would want to help you two out whenever you two got married."

Jane looked over at the girls in the kitchen, "They're going to plan the whole thing without me, aren't they?"

He laughed, "I wouldn't be surprised if they did."

"I might get tickets to our honeymoon in Paris, France. I bet she'd love the hell out of that idea. Fuck going to some island, that seems pretty usual for people to go for their honeymoons. Maura deserves something classy for a trip."

"That's a good idea. I might take Angela to Niagara Falls, I've been there once, it would be nice to actually go with someone I can tolerate."

Jane just shook her head, "Which wife did you go with?"

"The second one," he shrugged. "I think it was the second one. Is it bad that I don't remember?"

"As long as my mother is the last person you marry, who cares about who you went with," Jane drank the rest of her eggnog. There was a knock on the door and she went to go answer it. It was Tommy and Frankie. "Hey, Merry Christmas," she greeted them.

"Merry Christmas," they said in unison.

"Where's Frost and Gwyneth? I thought you said you were coming with them?" Jane asked Frankie who shook his head.

"I was but Tommy was having car trouble, so I had to drive him here, they got caught up at work, they should be here later," Frankie walked into the house and Jane turned to Tommy.

"Pop came for a visit earlier today. I don't like how you invited him without even discussing it with me."

"Come on Jane, lighten up, he just wanted to see you. He is trying to make an effort, at least give him a chance to do that."

Jane rolled her eyes, "Why should I care? He never thought about any of this when he left Ma. How can you be on his side and still be able to look Ma in the face?"

"Jane, Ma is happy with Korsak, she's happy you do not have to hate Pop anymore. He deserves to be in your life," Tommy frowned.

"He doesn't deserve shit Tommy. I don't really have to explain myself to you."

Tommy just shook his head and walked past Jane, "What you need is to lighten up Jane."

Jane rolled her eyes, "Fuck off Tommy," she muttered under her breath, loud enough though so he could hear. She was wondering why her and Maura even invited Tommy. She'd just have to get over it. Jane plopped down on the couch and Maura came out the kitchen with a glass of eggnog, she noticed Jane look tense. Maura sat down next to Jane resting a hand on her thigh.

"Are you alright Jane?"

"Why did we invite Tommy to come again?" Jane crossed her arms and Maura frowned.

"He's your family Jane, you guys can be nice for a couple of hours, can't you? For my sake?" Maura looked at her fiancee who just sighed, slumping her shoulders.

"Sure, for your sake," Jane kissed the top of her head. "Just this once because it's Christmas. You owe me."

Maura laughed, "I don't think I do Jane, I gave it to you pretty good earlier, do I have to remind you?"

Jane smirked and blushed and Korsak coughed, letting them know he was still in the living room. "Um, let's discuss this later."

"If anyone owes anyone, it's you that owes me, remember?" Maura winked and Jane looked down at her eggnog.

"Is this how things are going to work around here Maura?" Jane eyed her. "We rotate?"

Maura shrugged, "I wouldn't mind, but one day I would like to do that together."

If Jane could get any redder she would, "I'm not going to comment on this anymore," she looked over at Korsak who rolled his eyes. "I-I'm going to see if my brothers want to play some basketball," Jane needed to blow off that sexual frustration that was occuring the more they talked. She got up from the couch to go gather her brothers before they headed outside.

"I hope she doesn't get hurt, basketball in the snow I don't see that ending very well," Maura told Korsak who just laughed.

"I give it ten minutes," Korsak leaned back in the recliner.

"You shouldn't joke about that Vince, I'd really prefer Jane not to get injured," she frowned. Korsak immediately felt guilty, especially when they heard Jane yelling.

"Mother fucker! What the fuck kind of cheap shot was that?" Jane covered her eye as she sat on the ground, looking up at Tommy. "You did that shit on purpose!"

"Jane I did no such thing, you got close to me when I was trying to make a shot. I'm sorry I elbowed you in the face."

"Not to mention you knocked me down on my ass," Jane slowly got up, making sure she was sturdy before going inside.

Frankie looked at Tommy, "What the hell is going on with you two?" he shook his head.

When Jane got inside she sat on the stool as Maura got ice for Jane's eye. "I knew basketball would be a bad idea," she held it up against Jane's face.

"I swear you and Tommy need to stop fighting so much," Angela watched her daughter. "Don't make me lock you both in a room until you make up with whatever is going on."

"Ma, I'm not a child."

Angela rolled her eyes, "You sure act like it Jane, both you and Tommy." She turned to Maura, "I apologize for my daughter's behavior."

"You don't have to apologize for Jane. I have a feeling I know what it's about. She promised that she would be nice to him, for me. Accidents just... happen," Maura smiled warmly at Angela before turning to Jane, who mouthed her a thank you. Maura leaned over to give Jane a kiss. "Angela, why don't you go relax? You don't have to help with dinner."

"You sure?" Angela asked, she always felt the need to want to help.

"Yes Ma, you're a guest now, I insist, go spend time with Korsak. I'm sure you guys can find something to talk about," Jane insisted and she just nodded before leaving the kitchen. "I love you Maura. Sorry that me being nice with Tommy didn't last long."

"Don't apologize, like I said accidents happen. I had a feeling something like this would happen when you said the word basketball. Now hold the bag of ice, I should finish getting dinner ready," Maura put the bag of ice in Jane's hand before attending to the food. A few mintues later Frankie and Tommy had come into the kitchen.

"Jane, Tommy has something he wants to say to you, please hear him out?" Frankie eyed his sister, letting her know he meant business.

Jane looked at her brothers and then over to Maura who gave her a look. "Fine, what do you want to say?"

Tommy grabbed a seat on the other stool and sat down next to Jane. "I really am sorry I elbowed you in the face, but I know that's not what you're really mad about. Jane remember how you guys gave me a chance even though I fucked up, but you guys eventually got over it, and gave me a chance. I wouldn't be here right now if I didn't feel welcomed. That's the whole point of me wanting to have a relationship with our father, I know he fucked up but he doesn't deserve to be abandoned because of a mistake he made. He deserves a second chance, and I plan to give him that. I really wish you and Frankie would just consider it. And I'm pretty sure Ma doesn't care at this point anymore. If you don't want him to be a part of your life, then that's fine, I won't force you. But I refuse to be the bad guy just because I'm giving him another chance. He's still our father," Tommy explained to Jane what he told Frankie outside. "I'm tired of fighting about dad."

"I'm sorry," Jane apologized, putting the bag of ice down on the counter. "I don't think he needs a second chance, but I understand how important it is for you to want to be there for him. I'm tired of fighting about him too."

"Thanks for understanding Jane," he gave her a side hug before jumping off the stool and went into the living room.

"Does my eye look bad Frankie?" she asked after Tommy was gone.

"It could look worse, you should put the ice back on it though. I have been thinking about letting Pop back into my life Jane, I just hope I'm making the right decision."

Jane rested a hand on her younger brother's arm, "I guess he's not the worst person, he did give Maura his blessing. If you want Pop back in your life maybe we could go see him sometime in the New Year, I think I much rather go with you than go alone."

Frankie nodded, "Yeah that's probably the better idea. We can figure what works best later," he paused to say something else when his cell rang, he answered it and walked outside. "Hey Gwen, were you and Frost on your way?"

"Yeah we are, we just left the station. I slipped on a piece of ice, my ass is kind of sore, so if I'm walking funny you will know why. Do they need anything, I feel bad for coming empty handed."

"No, you should be fine, Jane and Maura are doing the cooking, so knowing Maura she'll have everything she needs."

"Alright Frankie, I'll see you soon. I sort of want to talk to you when I get there, something sort of personal."

"Sure, see you soon," he replied before hanging up and going back inside. "Frost and Gwen are on their way," Frankie felt the need to inform Jane and Maura.

"How's that going by the way?" Jane looked up at Frankie after just observing Maura cook.

"Why does something have to be going on?"

"You've invited her over twice Frankie, it's pretty obvious that you like her, minus the fact she supports the Yankees she seems like a nice person, for you," Jane smiled at her brother. "You deserve happiness, that's all I'm saying. But if you don't like her I'm sure Frost would just love to take her off of your hands."

"Jane," Maura scolded her.

"Shit, sorry Maura, I forgot. Frankie nevermind I said anything, she's totally out of Frost's league," Jane stood up. "I think I heard the door, I'll go get it," she excused herself from the kitchen, and Maura just frowned.

Frankie was curious of what they were talking about but he didn't want to press, he honestly didn't want Maura to get any sort of hives or start hyperventilating. A few moments of awkward silence has past when Frankie had heard Gwen and Frost's voices. Gwen came into the kitchen and smiled warmly.

"Merry Christmas Maura," she greeted, giving Maura a hug, she was definitely not expecting one.

"Um, Merry Christmas," she said a little bit uncomfortable before Gwen came back.

"Did you mind if I borrow Frankie for a moment?" Gwen asked Maura.

"No not at all. Dinner will be done soon," Maura told her before Gwen took Frankie outside.

"Is your butt feeling okay?" Frankie asked.

"Yeah my butt is okay. Actually there is a reason I slipped on the ice. There was an incident between me and Frost, nothing big just I felt guilty and wanted to let you know," Gwen ran a hand through her hair.

"What happened?" Frankie thought back to what Jane said in the kitchen. Gwen wanted Frost, he figured Gwen couldn't be interested in him. But why did she feel guilty?

"Well we were talking about what I had planned for New Years Eve, I told him I planned to ask someone out. I was being vague about who I liked and well, he thought I was talking about him. He's so shy all the time so I wasn't expecting him to kiss me. We kissed not even that long but I backed up too quick and busted my ass on the ice. I then told him who I was talking about when he helped me up."

Frankie nodded along to her story, he thought she was going to say more but she was just looking at him, like she expected him to speak. "That's a very interesting story. So um, who were you talking to Frost about?" he asked, feeling chills, mostly from nerves, not really because of the cold weather.

Gwen stepped closer to Frankie, and took his hands into hers. "I was talking to him about you. Frankie when you invited me for Rizzoli dinner, I was really flattered, and then I seemed to hit it off with your mom. Working with you has definitely been a pleasure and well. I really like you Frankie... like a lot."

"I really like you too Gwen, you really want to be with me?" he looked at her, a stupid grin appeared on his face.

Gwen leaned over and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Of course I want to be with you, not to mention the fact that I like your family."

Frankie laughed nervously, "You really like my family?"

"I definitely do, so I guess I'm asking you out, but we can be more than just each other's date on New Years."

Frankie blushed, "So, is this where I ask you to be my girlfriend? I-I don't have a habit of asking out girls, I'm not super experienced when it comes to relationships."

Gwen smirked, "Me either, it can be new for the both of us. I would love to be your girlfriend Frankie Rizzoli."

"Well, that's a relief, did you want to go inside now? It keeps on getting colder out here," he squeezed her hands before he led Gwen inside. They seen Jane looking out the window at them. She backed away when she seen them coming. "Are you spying on us Jane?" Frankie asked his sister.

"No, I'm using my detective skills to observe. I wouldn't consider that spying," Jane told him. "So should I say congratulations then?" she looked over at Gwen who nodded.

"I suppose you can," she spoke with a slight blush on her cheeks.

"Congratulations, I had faith in this the whole time," Jane spoke and turned when she heard Maura laugh at her. "What was that for?"

"Jane Rizzoli, you know it's not polite to lie."

"Maura, you're making me look bad in front of Frankie's girlfriend," Jane pouted.

"You only have yourself to blame babe," she smiled, planting a kiss on Jane's lips. "Now enough of that, go tell the others it's time for dinner."

There seemed to be a lot going on in this chapter, my apologies. I will always miss chapters where Korsak and Jane don't interact, I try to make good scenes with them when they're together. Jane and Frankie going to make progress with their dad in the future. And Frankie got the girl. Was curious at the odd chance of maybe Tommy and Frost hitting it off eventually. What do you guys think of that? I'm excited for what's coming next. Rizzles in the Big Apple. This story might be far from over -enter shrug here- We'll see.
