On a hill in some sort of jungle environment, was April O'Neil, Sam Manson, Tucker Foley, Danny and the Turtles. April's hair was tied up in a ponytail and her pants had been ripped into shorts and shirt were ripped, Sam's skirt was a little bit torn at the bottom, her leggings had rips and the little ponytail she usually wore in her hair was gone, Tucker's pants were ripped into shorts and he had a sleeve missing from his shirt and one of Danny's pants legs had been torn a large chunk of his shirt had a tear at the bottom, using it as a bandage for his knee.

All of them were covered in mud, almost from head to toe in mud and Danny and the Turtles didn't have their usual weapons with the. Sam, Tucker and April each had a make-shift spear.

APRIL: What, you may ask yourself, is a mild mannered antique shop owner doing dressed like a finalist in the Miss Primitive Universe Pageant?

We look to see that they're were not in New York, but some kind different world where it had jungles stretched as far as the eye could see, floating rocks and instead of a normal sky, it was green.

As you can very well guess, this isn't exactly Downtown New York City, or Downtown Earth or Downtown our dimension.

They're all carefully walking across a thin path, pressing back against the rocky wall as they continued on.

How did we get here? Long story. How do we get home?

They stopped and looked to see they were close to some sort of large temple, with a huge nest of some kind on top of it.

Well, hopefully the answer is inside this temple. Unfortunately, the way home isn't the only thing inside that temple.

Giant wasp like insects came flying towards them and stopped near them. They're eyes glowed red and they roared at the sight of the intruders.

APRIL'S ARTIFACT

At April's antique shop, a sign hung up outside that it was going to re-open soon. Helping her to set up the shop and do the final cleaning before its grand re-opening the next morning, was Danny, the Turtles, Sam, Tucker and Casey.

Donnie was getting an neon sign working, Leo was scrubbing the floor, Danny was dusting the shelves and the antiques, Raph, Casey, Sam, Mikey and Tucker were putting the antiques into place around the shop and April was hammering a nail in the wall.

"I can't thank you guys enough. If it wasn't for you, I might never have been able to re-open the shop." April said to her friends, feeling so happy.

"Yeah, but if it wasn't for us you'd still have the first shop." Leo said, remembering how the first shop got burned down in the first place.

Mikey was looking at an old typewriter as he and Sam were placing the antiques in the glass cabinets. He was a bit shocked at the price of it, "One hundred bucks for this thing? It doesn't even have a monitor screen."

He pulled out the ink ribbon and asked, "And what's with the weird floppy disk?"

Sam groaned and answered, "It's a typewriter Mikey and you just touched the ink ribbon."

Mikey's eyes widened and he placed it down, looking at his hands to see that they were now covered in ink. He didn't know what to do and suddenly smirked as he saw the white tuxedo and was about to wipe his hands on it, when Sam pulled him back by his mask, causing him to yelp.

"Don't even think about it Mikey." Sam warned and then handed him a damp cloth.

He pouted and then wiped the ink off his hands using the cloth. Raph groaned as he and Casey were carrying a heavy suit of armour back and forth in the store, arguing where the best place to put it was.

"I'm telling ya, it should go in the front of the store." Raph argued.

"Get ya head out of ya shell! It'll look way cooler in the back!" Casey argued, pulling the armour back the other way.

Donnie finally finished getting the neon sign working and stood up to hang it up in it's place, when he suddenly felt the top part of his staff hit a chandelier and quickly held it, to keep it from moving.

Danny noticed him struggling and walked over, "Here Donnie. Let me help."

The bottom of his sword however, almost knocked over some antique China plates and he quickly turned around grabbing them to keep them from falling over, while also sticking his foot in the bucket of water Leo was using.

April sighed in annoyance and decided that she couldn't risk the antiques getting destroyed because of her ninja friend's weapons. She held out her hand to Mikey and ordered, "That's it! Weapons boys. Fork them over."

Mikey didn't like it but handed over his weapons to her, along with Donnie, Danny and Leo. He then protested, "But what if the Foot attack? Or….the Girl Scouts?"

They all gave him a strange look at that remark, but April didn't cave in and simply said, "You can survive without your weapons for one day."

Casey and Raph placed the suit of armour down as April came over, holding her hand out to Raph. He sighed and gave his sais to April, not wanting to make her mad.

Casey then looked at the front of the store and said, "You know what? You're right. It should go at the front."

Raph growled and slapped his forehead in annoyance at Casey. After all the lifting and arguing, he finally agrees with his opinion. Not wanting to continue the argument, he lifted the armour with Casey and began to slowly carry it towards the front of the store.

April placed all their weapons in a box and then placed them down. She then picked up a family photo in a large frame that had herself as a twelve-year old, standing next to her was a fourteen-year old girl in front of her mother and standing next to her father was a man wearing a hat, orange shirt with a brown vest and blue pants.

She smiled and placed the photo on the wall as she said, "At last, the O'Neil family portrait can assume its rightful place once again."

"Who's the guy next to your dad?" Tucker asked.

"That's my Uncle Augie. Professor August O'Neil." April answered, smiling as she remembered her uncle. "Uncle Augie was a real character. A head for figures and a heart full of adventure. He used to disappear for months on end, traveling the world. We wouldn't hear word from him and then suddenly, he'd just show up out of the blue with a suitcase full of trinkets and a million stories from his travels."

Raph and Casey stopped for a moment as a fly was flying around Raph. Making him growl in annoyance. It then landed on his top part of his lips. He tried shaking it off, but the fly wouldn't move.

"Then one day, he just disappeared for good." April finished.

Raph suddenly growled and let go of the armour, chasing the fly away screaming, "YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME YOU LITTLE GARBAGE EATING MAGGOT?!"

Casey lost his balance and accidentally let the armour go, where it hit the front of a cabinet filled with antique China plates, cups and bowls, along with all different other smaller antiques. It hit the glass as it fell and caused most of the antiques inside to fall and break on the floor.

Raph chased the fly right out of the shop and closed the door. He then growled, "I hate bugs!"

He then turned and his eyes widened as he saw the mess he and Casey had made from the crash. The others immediately got a box and began to clean up the mess as Donnie described the broken antiques, "And from the looks of it, you also hate Bone China tea cups, porcelain figurines and Depression glass too."

April growled and snapped at Raph and Casey while pointing to the boxes filled with rubbish, "You two, away from the breakables! Garbage detail now!"

Not wanting to upset April any more than what she was, the two boys simply saluted and said, "Yes ma 'me / Sorry ma 'me."

Casey carried the first box outside. Raph picked up the second box and looked at the stuff. He turned at April and asked, "What is this stuff?"

"Just a bunch of junk that got damaged in the fire." April answered.

Raph took another look and noticed something. He pulled out what appeared to be some sort of circular hexagonal puzzle cube and said, "Hey, this still looks good."

April's eyes widened at it and said as she picked it up out of Raph's hand, "I don't believe it."

"What is it?" Danny asked as they gathered around April

"It's a puzzle cube that used to belong to my Uncle Augie. I can't imagined how it survived the fire." April answered, while cleaning it off.

Suddenly, the puzzle spun a little bit before it began to glow and before any of them could react, Danny, Sam, Tucker, April and the Turtles were all sucked inside and vanished without a trace. The only thing left behind was the puzzle cube itself as it stopped glowing and landed on the floor of the shop.

They all screamed as they felt themselves being pulled and shifted through some kind of portal. They suddenly re-appeared and they all screamed as they fell from the air and landed in a bush with vines that had thorns on it.

"What the heck just happened?!" Tucker asked in complete shock.

They all suddenly looked up and found themselves in some sort of jungle and in the sky, it was dark green and there were several floating rocks in the sky above the.

"Where are we?" April asked.

"Sure don't look like midtown." Raph said.

"Or anywhere on Earth for that matter." Leo added as they began to climb out of the bushes.

Raph and Mikey saw Tucker, April and Sam struggling to get out of the bushes and grabbed onto the vine as Mikey offered, "Here guys, we'll help you out."

"No it's fine Raph. I think we can do it…." Sam began to say when they came out, but the two continued to pull the thorny vines, which caused pieces of their clothes to tear.

"Ourselves!" April finished, all three of them glaring at Raph and Mikey for not listening.

They removed pieces of their ripped clothes and now April's pants had been ripped into shorts and shirt were ripped, Sam's skirt was a little bit torn at the bottom, her leggings had rips and Tucker's pants were ripped into shorts and he had a sleeve missing from his shirt.

After finishing now adjusting their wardrobe, the three gave Raph and Mikey a glare who chuckled nervously and smiled sheepishly at their mistake. Danny noticed a large tear in one of his pants legs and ripped it off.

Danny then felt a strange feeling about this place. It was like his ghost energy was feeling more energised and his powers were feeling a lot stronger wherever they were.

Danny decided to let the others know about what he was feeling, "My ghost energy feels stronger wherever we are. It's like…..I'm in a place where my ghost half thrives or something."

"Do you think some Utrom clown hit the wrong switch on his Transmat?" Mikey asked, Donnie.

Donnie shook his head and answered, "No, this felt different. The Transmat was a whoosh! This felt more like a shift. If I had to guess, I'd say Uncle Augie's puzzle cube acts as some kind of dimensional gateway."

"I got the heavy science of whoosh vs shift, but after that you lost me." Mikey said, scratching his head.

"Donnie is saying Mikey, is that the cube took us to some kind of whole new dimension. A whole new world." Tucker translated.

Donnie smiled and added, "Exactly, though the theory goes like this: We're all made up of atoms and atoms are mostly made up of empty space…"

As Donnie spoke, Mikey could hear a strange buzzing sounds hovering through the air. But it didn't stop Donnie from finishing, "So you could theoretically have parallel universes all occupying the same space but vibrating at different frequencies. A slight shift of atoms and presto! You're in a whole different dimension."

"Okay! OKAY DONNIE! You're making my head buzz!" Mikey yelled, covering his ears.

"It's not just you Mikey. I hear it too." April said.

"We all hear it." Leo said, looking around for the source of the buzzing.

"Oh great! More bugs! Show yourself you lousy little maggot!" Raph warned as he picked up a stick, ready to whack at the bug.

"Oh come on Raph! What's your problem against bugs?" Sam asked, her love of nature and animals showing.

Danny then saw something in the sky and pointed out, "Uh Raph….you're gonna need a bigger fly swatter."

They all looked up to see that the small bug was a giant red glowing monstrous wasp! Raph then said, "Oh crud!"

It came down and charged straight for them, destroying Raph's stick with its stinger as it flew right over them. It then circled around and began heading back straight towards Raph.

"RAPH, LOOK OUT!" April tried to warn, but it was too late.

The wasp grabbed Raph with it's legs and began carrying him away. Donnie grabbed his legs and Tucker grabbed Donnie's legs and they were being taken away by the wasp. Danny immediately changed into his ghost form and began flying after them as they soared higher into the air.

"Bugs! Why did it have to be bugs?!" Raph shouted.

"Oh sure! You can survive without your weapons for one day." Mikey mocked April sarcastically, making her wish she now hadn't confiscated their weapons back at her shop.

As Donnie and Tucker held on, Tucker noticed something near the river and saw on one of the trees some kind of house. He called out to Donnie, Raph and Danny who was catching up to them, "There's some kind of tree house down there!"

"When your through sight-seeing, how about helping me kick some bug butt?!" Raph asked, trying to get out of the grip of the bug.

Donnie looked at the wasp and then called out to Danny, "Dan, get in front and hit the bug right near it's joints!"

Danny nodded and flew right in front of it, he aimed his energy and fired an ecto-blast right at where Donnie told him. It caused the wasp to roar in pain before letting go of Raph, causing all three of them to scream as they fell.

Danny gasped and immediately dived down to grab them. They grabbed onto Danny but because he dove down too quickly, he couldn't stop himself from crashing into one of the trees branches and all of them fell, crashing into the branches and grabbing the vines to try and slow themselves down as they fell.

April, Leo, Mikey and Sam finally caught up where they could hear them falling and then Donnie landed on the ground hard, followed by Danny who fell right on top of him and finally Tucker landed right on top of Danny, all of them groaned in pain from the fall.

"Guys! Are you okay?" Mikey asked.

"Where's Raph?" Sam asked them.

The three of them said nothing, but merely pointed up. They all looked up to see Raph was hanging on one of the branches, stuck there by vines wrapping his arms tightly around the braches. He glared and said, "Did I mention how much I hate bugs?"

"We'll get you down bro, just hang on." Leo said as he and Sam began climbing the tree to help him.

"Like I got a choice." Raph said sarcastically.

April and Mikey helped the others stand back up. Tucker rubbed his head from the fall and then said, "I spotted some kind of treehouse down the river. There might be someone else here and maybe they can tell us more about where we are."

Donnie nodded in agreement and added, "And possibly, a way back home if there is one."

"You guys up for it?" Danny asked the others up the tree.

Sam and Leo finally managed to cut Raph off the branch and he landed on the ground with a hard thump! He groaned as he sat up and rubbed his head from the fall.

"Or down for it?" Danny added jokingly.

"Okay….but no more flying." Raph said, agreeing but making his own terms about how they were going to get to the treehouse.

That's when they had started getting to work. Gathering tree branches, tree bark, stones, vines, sticks, leaves and moss, they started at first making make-shift weapons knowing that if more of those wasps or whatever other creatures were part of this strange new world they had entered, they were going to need anything they could find to survive.

Donnie began making a bo staff, Raph turned two stones into make-shift sais, Danny and Leo used their stone daggers to make their own swords, April, Sam and Tucker made their own spears testing them out on the trees and found them effective. Mikey had used a couple of sticks, some vines and a couple of stones to make a pair of make-shift nun chucks. He spun one of them around, but one of the rocks came loose and hit Raph.

He walked back over with Mikey's rock, glaring at him while his little brother smiled sheepishly at him when he realised he didn't make the vines tight enough.

Using the tree bark they had cut from the trees and leaves, vines and sticks, they each made themselves some wind surfer boards to travel up the river. That's when their journey began. Using the windsurfers, they couldn't help but have a little fun as they travelled down the river, using the little bit of wind.

"Would it be very cliché to say cowabunga?" Mikey asked.

"In a word, yes!" Raph answered before using his board to splash some water in Mikey's face.

Mikey shook the water off in annoyance. April went on ahead and suddenly did a huge flip in the air as a small wave came and landed back on the river. Tucker then called out to her impressed, "Hey April, where'd you pick up those fancy moves?"

"I don't know. Something about this place just brings out the jungle girl in me." April answered.

"I have to admit, despite the killer wasps and whatever this feeling for my ghost form, this place is a bit cool." Danny said.

"Nature can be full of nice surprises." Sam quoted.

A few minutes later, they had finally arrived at their destination and could see the run down treehouse on the highest tree. Mikey tried calling out, "Hello?"

But no-body answered. Leo noticed the large hole in the outside floor part of the structure and guessed a little nervously, "Maybe….termites?"

"If they're anything like that flying overgrown cockroach, I don't want to know about it." Raph said, shaking his head at the thought of more giant bugs.

April then began to climb the ladder. Raph asked, "Where do you think you're going?"

"I'm not afraid of bugs, tough guy." April simply said with a smirk and continued to climb up. Danny, Leo and Sam began to follow.

Tucker then said to Raph teasingly before beginning to climb up the ladder, "No need to scared dude. I'm sure Jungle Girl will protect you."

Raph raised his fist up at Tucker and denied, "Hey! I ain't scared of nothing! I just hate bugs."

Raph then began to climb up the ladder, when Mikey smirked and said, "You mean like the one crawling up your back right now?"

"What?! Where?!" Raph shouted in a panic, reaching his hand to his back, trying to whack away the bug.

But instantly Mikey laughed, "GOTCHA!"

Raph growled and swung the bottom of the ladder back, whipping Mikey right in the face and causing him to yelp in pain.

Once they arrived up the ladder, they all entered the treehouse. The roof had gaping holes at the top and inside there was a hammock, papers scattered across the floor, handmade pots, a small book and a small pot with handmade pencils inside.

"I can't say much for the décor, but it's got great ventilation." Mikey commented.

Sam picked up the small notebook and began reading through it. April the noticed a pendant on the table and her eyes widened as she recognised it.

She picked it up and said, "I can't believe it. This was my Uncle Augie's!"

Are you sure?" Leo asked.

"I'd recognise it anywhere." April answered, opening it up to reveal it was a compass and also a smaller photo of the O'Neil family.

Danny held the compass in his hand and looked on the back to see an inscription and read it aloud, "So you'll always find your way back to us."

Sam then asked April as she showed her the journal, "Hey April, could this have been your uncle's too?"

April looked at the handwriting and said, "It's my uncle's handwriting. That means he was here, in this dimension or whatever it is. The puzzle cube must've transported him here just like us."

She opened up to one of the entries and read it aloud, "Day 57. After living here for so long, I have finally discovered where I am. A place where paranormal scientists and ghost hunters have theorised for years. It's not just one island, but part of a whole dimension called the Ghost Zone. A parallel dimension to Earth. I had travelled to the edge of the island to discover that all the energy and matter of this world is compose entirely of ectoplasm. I could also see in the far distance floating doors and other islands further away. If it weren't for the fact I was trapped, I would've loved to explore more of this world. However without the proper equipment and technology, I am trapped on this forsaken island and so far, still have found no way to return home. So far I have not seen many ghosts or any sign of other life on this island."

"That's why Danny your ghost form feels stronger in this world Danny." Donnie concluded. "It's because this entire world is ectoplasm and your ghost form thrives on it."

"And since Augie found out that this place coexists with Earth, that means that whatever happens with Earth, also affects the Ghost Zone." Tucker added.

April turned to another entry and read it aloud, "Day 96. My shelter is barely holding up against the attacking swarm. I fear this may be my last entry as my life is in constant jeopardy."

They suddenly heard a screeching noise and knew that more of those wasp monsters were coming. They all pulled out their weapons ready and Danny changed into his ghost form while pulling out his weapon.

"We know that tune. Look sharp guys!" Leo warned as they stood ready to fight.

A whole swarm of wasps surrounded the treehouse. Raph picked up a chair and threw it at one of the wasps, hitting it and knocking it down.

"Raph no! If you make them mad, you might they'll jusr fire their…." Don tried to warn him, but it was too late.

The wasps roared and began to fire their large stingers straight at them. Donnie pushed Raph out of the way and finished, "Stingers!"

They all ducked and moved out of the way as more stingers came. Mikey then shouted, "Good one Raph!"

When Raph didn't reply, they turned to see that one of the stingers had grazed Raph's leg. Raph then said as he fell unconscious, "I….hate…bugs!"

"Oh no! / Raphie!" Everyone shouted.

Donnie bent over and check up on him. Donnie then said, "He's paralysed. If these are anything like Earth hornets, the effects should only be temporary."

However more hornets charged straight the treehouse. Everyone moved out of the way as one of them barged right through the walls. Mikey waved his nun chuck and whacked it right in the face, sending it heading straight towards April. She aimed her spear at it, but it merely grabbed the top part of her weapon with its mouth and began to fly her around the room with her holding onto the spear.

Sam ran up straight towards it and whacked its face with her own spear, causing it to release April from its grip. It then flew right out the other wall, destroying the treehouse more. Suddenly, another wasp barged right through the other wall and screeched, charging to attack them and its eyes burning with anger.

Leo and Danny tried attacking it with their make-shift swords, but its sharp legs simply broke their swords. It spun around and fired a stinger straight at Danny. Danny was about to put up a shield, but he was too slow and the stinger grazed his knees.

He groaned and then fell to the effects of the venom from the stinger. He fell to the floor unconscious and changed back into his human form. It then charged for Leo, who saw two of the stingers and grabbed them both.

"Let's see how you like a taste of your own medicine!" Leo said as he ran up and sliced the stingers right underneath the wasp.

The wasp immediately fell unconscious as it crashed through the wall. Two more wasps swept under the support structure of the treehouse and broke the two poles. The entire treehouse suddenly began to shake as Leo grabbed three of the stingers and attached them to his belt. Suddenly the treehouse began to lean as it began to fall.

"ABANDONE TREEHOUSE!" Mikey shouted.

Leo and Donnie grabbed Danny and Raph and immediately got out of there. April grabbed both the journal and Augie's compass, not wanting to leave them behind as the rest of them managed to escape from the treehouse before it completely fell.

Donnie and Leo swung down from the vines with Leo and Danny in their arms, Tucker, Sam and April grabbed a vine each and began to swing down. A wasp came charging at Mikey, but he jumped down onto a branch and flipped on it, kicking the wasp right in its face, sending it crashing into a tree.

A few of them surrounded Leo and Donnie as they used their weapons to try and protect the unconscious Raph and Danny. April, Sam and Tucker swung down with their spears and whacked the wasps away hard, knocking them right out before flipping over and landing right next to the giant bugs.

Leo, Donnie and Mikey looked at their three friends in shock. Leo smiled and said, "You go jungle kids!"

They all smiled back as they all said "High school gymnastics."

"And believe me, if you don't want to do four hours of running in Miss Tetslaff class, you have to put in the effort." Tucker said, shivering at the thought of his PE teacher.

Later on, they set up camp for the night. April was reading her uncle's journal, while Leo tended to the campfire. Danny had woken up a few minutes ago before Raph and Sam had ripped one of the sleeves of his shirt, using it as a bandage for his knee.

"Thanks Sam." Danny said, still slightly groaning from the headache he got from the venom.

"How do you feel?" She asked.

"Like maybe I should've gone intangible back there." Danny answered, rubbing his head.

Leo then passed one of the stingers to him as he said, "Here bro. I grabbed an extra stinger for you to use a weapon. It definitely comes in handy and is more effective than sticks."

Danny placed the stinger beside him with a grateful nod. They all then heard the sound of Raph groaning and turned to see he had finally woken up. He got up and began walking, muttering under his breath something.

"Feeling back to your old self bro?" Leo asked.

Raph continued to mutter before growling in rage, "BUGS MUST PAY!"

"Definitely back to his old self." Mikey said with a smirk.

"Guys, I found something….or my uncle did anyway. There's a temple, somewhere to the north-east from here." April said, pointing at the journal of the pictures her uncle drew in the entry.

She then began to read the entry aloud, "Day 130. I followed the river until I came upon a grey-stone temple. As I went inside the temple, I discovered something else. It seems that humans or anything from Earth, can pass right through walls and objects in the Ghost Zone intangibly just like ghosts as scientists predicted. It was incredible. Anyway, deep within a chamber at the centre of the temple was a large puzzle cube. Identical in shape and form, of the device that transported me to this savage part of the realm and it may be my only way home. If I can just determine how to correctly position the cube. Whoever built this temple, must've been some kind of civilisation that lived on this island of the Ghost Zone."

"Incredible." Donnie and Tucker both said with awe.

April continued to the next entry, "Day 145. I believe I have finally cracked the secret of the puzzle cube! Unfortunately since my first journey to the temple, the giant hornets have begun constructing their nest on the side of the structure. The journey will be dangerous, but I must try to reach the cube. I'm leaving behind my journal and my compass pendant, should any other poor soul find their way into this place. Heaven help you. Heaven help you all."

"That's all he wrote. It's the last entry of the journal. The rest is just calculations." April said as she handed the book to Donnie and both he and Tucker began looking at all of Augie's calculations.

"It looks like your uncle was trying to decipher the cube mathematically." Tucker guessed. "The question is, did he make it?"

"We need to get to that temple and find out what happened to him." April said, looking at the picture of her uncle in the pendant.

"If we can piece together his notes, we might be able to program the puzzle cube to send us home." Donnie said, as he continued to look through the journal.

"Then it's settled. We head for the temple first thing in the morning." Leo said.

Using Tucker's watch to make sure they got some sleep that night, since the sky was always green they weren't sure if it was night or day in this world. The next morning, they began to make their journey for the temple.

"Your uncle's calculations, seemed to indicate a logarithmic correlation." Donnie explained as he read the calculations. "In an otherwise stochastic deviation."

April then added understanding what Donnie was saying, "Of course! The algorithms follow a variation on a Fibonacci sequence."

Mikey was scratching his head at that and asked, "Do you guys come with subtitles?"

"Guys, you might want to look at this." Danny pointed out, gesturing to the right.

They all looked to see the temple but also could see the giant nest, home to the monstrous ghost wasps that were flying around it.

"What I wouldn't give for a can of bug spray. A really big one." Raph said, holding out his arms wide for size.

"How are we gonna get past them? Even if Danny turns us invisible, these wasps have a really good sense of smell." Sam asked.

Donnie then thought of something, "I think I know how we can get passed them."

He handed April the book and immediately jumped into the muddy river. He emerged and began to cover himself in some sort of mud. The others covered their noses at the strong scent coming from the mud.

"As Sam said, hornets and other wasps have a strong sense of smell." Donnie explained his actions. "So we need to disguise our scent."

"But….do we have to disguise them that bad?" Tucker asked, slightly disgusted at the smell.

April said nothing and dove right into the water. The others then followed pursuit. April emerged the water with a serious face, like she really was some kind of jungle woman.

"Uh April? I think you might be taking this jungle girl thing a little too seriously." Danny said, only to end up getting more mud thrown at his face by April.

"I sure hope this is worth having Mikey downwind. UGH!" Donnie said, also not liking how they smelled as they got closer to the temple's entrance.

"We're about to find out, cause here they come." Raph said, noticing the wasps flying out from the nest.

The wasps however, couldn't seem to smell them and just completely ignored them as they continued their way into the temple. They then left the scene and continued on their way.

"They're leaving. Wow! I guess old factory principle came through." Tucker said, slightly impressed but still not liking what they had to do to get this far.

They entered the temple and were shocked to see huge pods hanging from the ceiling of the temple. Sam then said, "Looks like the wasps have tunnelled right through the temple and further developed their nest."

"So….how come no-ones mining the eggs?" Mikey asked, gesturing to the pods.

"These aren't eggs." Donnie corrected him as he looked closer at them. "They're pupae. Second stage development and from the looks of them, I'd say they're nearly formed adults."

"Weapons ready. Let's move out." Leo ordered and they all got their weapons ready and Danny changed into his ghost form.

Mikey spun his nun chuck around, but the rock came loose and hit one of the eggs, cracking it. Suddenly all the eggs began to shake and began to break as they were hatching.

"Nice going Mikey! EVERYBODY MOVE!" Leo shouted and they began to run, heading for the chamber Uncle Augie described where the puzzle cube would be.

"They're gaining on us!" Mikey shouted and they stopped, standing ready to fight.

"Alright stink bugs! This time it's personal!" Raph shouted, wanting his vengeance against the wasps.

They began their attack and the warriors began to defend themselves, hitting the bugs left and right but more hatched and it seemed like it was going to be a never ending battle for them. The more they fought, the more wasps hatched from their pods and began to charge at them.

"There's too many of them! We have to find another way out of here!" Leo shouted as he pushed a wasp away with his stinger swords.

Sam noticed an open chamber and shouted, "GUYS COME ON! THIS WAY!"

They all ran inside the chamber and Danny, April and Donnie pushed the door closed cutting off the swarm. All of them panted in relief and exhausted from the fight. They all then turned to see standing at the top of a platform, was the giant puzzle cube Augie had described in his journal.

They climbed up to the top of the platform and looked at the puzzle cube. Tucker then noticed something about the cube and began to look through the journal again.

April noticed a piece of paper on the ground and recognised the writing and more calculations as her uncle's. She smiled and said, "This is Uncle Augie's handwriting. So he did make it back here after all."

"But it's odd. The settings on the cube don't match the co-ordinates in your uncle's journal April." Tucker said. "That means that wherever the puzzle cube sent him, it wasn't home."

"Something must've happened when he was setting the final co-ordinate. The question is, what?" April wondered.

Suddenly a loud growling sound could be heard. Raph said sarcastically, "You had to ask."

They turned to see coming towards them was a monstrous wasp. Bigger than all the others they encountered and twice the temper it would seem and it didn't just have one stinger, but a couple of stingers on its legs.

"It's the queen." Donnie said.

It screeched and roared at the intruders in her nest. They all pulled out their weapons as Mikey said, "I don't care if it's Queen Latifah, you guys need to get that cube fired up!"

April, Tucker and Donnie immediately got to work at the cube, working through Augie's calculations to set the right co-ordinates to get them back home.

Mikey charged at the queen and stood ready. The queen spun around, trying to hit Mikey with its stinger but he moved out of the way just in time. He was now back against the wall and the queen lunged its legs at him, trying to sting him. He dodged left and right, trying to avoid her legs, but she got faster each time he dodged them, one of her legs hit him and he was stung.

He yelped in pain before falling unconscious. The queen was about to eat him, when Danny flew up and blasted her back with an ecto-blast, pushing her away from Mikey. Leo then charged up and blocked her attack with his weapons, while Tucker, April and Donnie were starting to spin the cube, putting in the co-ordinates.

The queen spun round and cut Leo's arm with her stinger, he too falling victim to her venom and became paralysed.

"LEO!" Raph, Sam and Danny screamed out to their leader.

Raph picked up Leo's weapons and jumped behind the queen, blocking her stinger as she tried to attack him next. She then flew up in the air and continued to strike at Raph with her stinger, until finally the stinger struck his arm.

"Not….again!" Raph groaned as he fell unconscious.

Danny gasped and flew right in front of the queen, blasting its face with another ecto-blast. Sam and Danny stood in front of Raph, ready to protect him as the queen roared and was about to attack at them again, when April suddenly threw her spear straight at it while shouting, "KEEP AWAY FROM THEM YOU WITCH!"

The spear pierced right through the queen's neck and it screeched as it fell backwards and wiggled around in pain.

"Normally, I'm opposed to hurting bugs and insects, but in this case I'll make an exception." Sam said.

Tucker and Donnie finished putting the cube in place and it began to glow, just like the other one in Aprils shop.

"GUYS! TIME TO GO!" Donnie shouted.

April grabbed Raph, Danny grabbed Mikey and Sam grabbed Leo and began dragging them back to the cube. The queen got back up and roared. It flew over to them and all and just when it was about to attack, the portal opened and transported them out of the temple, leaving a now very angry queen as it lost its dinner.

Mikey, Raph and Leo woke up as they all felt themselves being transported once again. The portal opened and they crashed on the floor of April's shop, groaning in pain from their trip but finally home.

Casey entered back inside and he grimaced at the smell, "Ugh! What died in here?!"

He then saw them and asked in confusion, "I'm gone two seconds, and now suddenly everyone's covered in crud?"

They all simply smiled. It seemed that time no time had passed since they were transported to the Ghost Zone. After they all got themselves showered and cleaned up, they began to tell Casey of their crazy adventure in the Ghost Zone.

"So uh…..let me get this straight. You defeated the giant hornet queen, all by yourself?" Casey asked April as she placed the puzzle cube in a small chest box.

"Like I said, something about that place just bought out the jungle girl in me." April said. "Not that I'm in a big hurry to go back there."

She them smiled sadly at the picture of her uncle in the compass pendant and said, "But I will find you someday Uncle Augie. I swear it."

She closed the pendant and looked at the inscription on the back, hoping that wherever the cube transported her uncle, he was alive and somehow….some way…she will find him and bring him home. No matter what.

So you'll always find your way back to us.
