The team was now almost an hour out of town heading to the newest crime scene and Penelope was doing her thang as she started delving into the background of the latest victim. Her fingers were flying across the keyboard and so far she hadn't been able to come up with anything other than the victim in question was a male dancer that usually wore his cowboy costume.
She hit the speaker button on her cell and hit number 2 and after two rings she heard Reid say, "you're on speaker Garcia, you have me, JJ and Em". Penelope said, "my fine furry friends I haven't been able to find anything other than the obvious, he lives in an apartment, has about $3500.00 dollars in his savings account".
JJ said, "what about a girlfriend"?, Penelope said, "if he has one I see no signs of it here, sorry Jayje", Reid said, "does he have any wants or warrants Garcia"?, she hit a few keys and said, "negative boy wonder, negative". Emily said, "I'll let Aaron know, thanks again Garcia".
Penelope glanced down at her watch and said, "ohhhhh I have to head out in a few minutes, Derek took his rental car back and he wanted me to pick him up, so when you all get to the police station call me". JJ said, "will go Garcie, now go get your boyfrienddddd", Penelope laughed and said, "be safe guys, Garcie out" and ended the call.
At the bar Matt looked up at Savannah walked closer to him, he said, "sorry mam but we're closed", Savannah sat down at the bar and said, "it's okay, I'm meeting the owners here". Matt said, "oh okay", Savannah looked around and said, "this is a nice place, do you do good business here"?, Matt nodded his head and said, "oh yes, good business isn't a problem, we are filled to capacity most nights, well until recently".
Savannah said, "why until recently"?, Matt said, "seriously"?. Savannah shrugged her shoulders and said, "yeah, why until recently"?, Matt said, "their is some woman killing male dancers that dress like cowboys for their acts". Savannah said, "oh my goodness, please tell me that none of your dancers have been hurt"?, Matt said, "no he's alright, don't get me wrong we have several male dancers here but only Derek dresses as a cowboy and after the recent attacks he isn't wearing that costume. at least not right now".
Savannah smiled and said, "that sounds like a good idea, especially until they find this sickko", Matt nodded his head in agreement and said, "can I get you a drink while you wait"?. she said, "yeah, a gin and tonic please with a lime". Matt said, "sure thing mam" and turned around to fix her drink.
He put it down on the bar in front of her and said, "here you go", she took a sip and said, "thank you", he said, "no problem", he then went to cleaning the bar and said, "so Savannah, what kind of work do you do"?. she smiled at him and said, "I'm a doctor at Valley Hills General Hospital".
Matt said, "wow, a doctor, that's great", Savannah said, "I love my job, I love helping people", their conversation ended as Derek walked out of his dressing room and said, "Matt do you" and then he saw Savannah and smiled. He said, "sorry to interrupt your conversation, that was rude of me, I didn't know anybody was here".
Savannah said, "not a problem handsome, I'm meeting your bosses for a drink, care to join me until they show up"?, he said, "well I" and she said, "ohhhh come on one drink won't hurt". Derek looked at Matt and said, "give me a beer Matt", Matt said, "sure thing" and fixed Derek a beer and put it down in front of him.
He then looked at the couple and said, "if you two will excuse me I'll be in back I need to unload the delivery", he walked to the end of the bar and said, "if you need anything just shout". Derek said, "thanks Matt, we will" and he watched as his friend headed toward the storage room.
Savannah smiled and said, "sooooo Derek, tell me about yourself, are you married, got a girlfriend"?. Derek said, "how did you know my name"?, she pointed to the huge poster hanging on the wall and he said, "ahhhhh, right". He took another sip of his beer and said, "I'm not married but I do have an amazing girlfriend that I love very much".
She said, "awwww that's great, everybody needs that special somebody don't they"?, he said, "that they do" and started feeling for his wallet and said, "ohhhh I must have left my wallet in my dressing room, I'll be right back". She said, "not a problem" and watched as he disappeared out of sight.
When she was sure he was gone she pulled a vial out of her purse and poured it into his beer, she swirled his beer around and then put the glass back just seconds before he came back and sat down. He said, "sorry about that", he took a sip of his beer and said, "now Savannah was it"?, she nodded her head and said, "yes, Dr. Savannah Hayes".
Derek said, "Dr. wow that's nice", she nodded her head and started passing the time until the meds kicked in, she smiled at him and watched as he downed the majority of his beer in one sip and put the glass back down on the bar. She put her hand on his and said, "it won't be much longer".
His vision started getting fuzzy and he said, "w what won't be mu much longer"?, she leaned in and whispered, "before you die Derek, you're going to die just like the others". She stood up and wrapped her arm around his waist and said, "come with me lover, it's time to go".
Derek slumped against her and said, "n n no, what a are you"? she heard Matt coming so she cupped his face in her hands and leaned in and crashed her lips against his. Matt stood watching for a few seconds before Savannah said, "I'll reschedule my appointment, come on lover" as her and Derek disappeared out of the bar.
She helped him into the car and then walked around to the drivers side of the car, she put the key in the ignition and started the car, she pulled away from the club and Derek said, "wh wh why ar yo" and then his eyes closed and his head fell back against the seat, she smiled and said, "you will be my last and best masterpiece Derek, I will have you and then you will die, you will pay like all of the others.
She threw her head back and laughed as she hit the main road that led away from town and his oh so perfect girlfriend
