The Titans emerge from the tunnel and they find themselves in the dark dimension, Trigon's home. They were expecting danger right away and were standing in their battle stances. The Titans were surprised that nothing attacks them. Once they were sure there was no immediate threat Nightwing told everyone their priority was finding Raven. They had no idea how to local her, but Wondergirl told everyone to turn around as she was pointing up. There a short distance from the Titans was Raven, just floating in the air with her eyes close.
Starfire takes off before anyone can tell her to stand down. As soon as she is within arm's reach of Raven she is repelled by an invisible barrier.
"A force shield, I guess we shouldn't have expected anything less from her father."
"Where is daddy? I think everyone has had it with dear old dad."
"Cyborg you are right, it seems like ever since we met Raven that her father's shadow has always been around her. She deserves some peace for once. Even if that means we have to take out her dad."
A familiar haughty laugh could be heard on the very skies. The Titans look around but didn't see anything. They knew that laugh and was waiting for him to attack.
"You children are lost. Coming here to my home to challenge me. You could not defeat me in your world. You have no chance here. Take my sound advice and go back through the portal back home and don't ever come back again."
"Trigon, we are here for Raven and we are not leaving without her. If we have to fight you we will."
"How delightful the little children want to fight, do you believe that you will have any chance against me? Despite your name Titans, even the ancient Titans where you get your name from, could not stand against me. They were battle-tested, you are just children playing in an old game that is about to finally end the only way it could."
"No you are wrong, Raven is our friend. She has good in her, your darkness can't control her. She reach out to us for help and lead us here. No daddy dear, you might be home here but you don't have absolute control not even over your daughter."
"So you kids think to insult me? When you have lived as long as I have you can't insult me, but I think I know a way for you to understand that your hope is lost."
Trigon lifts his left arm and Raven floats by his side. As the Titans look on not sure what to make out of what they were seeing. Raven didn't attempt to get away, nor did she signal them that she needed help. Her face was covered by her robe, Gar believes that if he could see her face to face that he could snap her out of it.
"So you see my daughter your friend Raven is standing here by her father's side. I am not forcing her against her will. She understands that this is destiny and no one can change that. Now I only ask you to leave because you have shown my daughter compassion and loyalty. But even my patience has limits. If you won't leave on your own, then you force my hand to make sure that you will not leave here ever again."
Raven removes her hood and reveals her face. Her teammates the Titans have known Raven many years. They thought that they had seen her at her worst. They were mistaken, her face was red as her father's and she has a third eye in her forehead. Her friends the Titans call out to her trying to wake her up from this nightmare. The only sounds Raven can hear is the voice from her father and she would do anything to get his approval. She smiles at him and then turns her fury upon her friends.
"We can't attack Raven. She's our friend."
"I know Gar, Kid Flash can you reach her?"
No sooner are the words gone from his lips Kid Flash races toward Raven but he is struck down by a psi-blast before he could reach her. Seeing Kid Flash fall Starfire takes off flying and fire her star bolts ahead of her. She gets knock asunder by another psi-blast,
Nightwing knows that they are in trouble. What chance do they have if they can't even reach Raven to talk to her? He looks and sees both Starfire and Kid Flash on the ground. Behind him Beast Boy asks him "What are we going to do?"
