Dear Finn,
I'm writing to you from one of New York's club's, 'Legion's, the preferred club for NYADA students. We're celebrating the Winter Showcase, but all I want to do is write to do – it's how we feel close when we're apart.
I received your latest letter today of all days and it was perfect timing, just the pick me up that I needed to go forward. I went through with the set change that I told you about earlier. Everything that's happened with Mike has put everything in perspective for me too, life is too short.
I was beginning to wonder if life was too short for my four-year plan, if I should shrink it to a two-year college plan, or go out and get job experience like Kurt is doing. As much as I talk to him about school, he loves what he does at Vogue, and it seems like a really good fit for him. I told him that I was happy if he was happy, and he's as happy as he can be, being apart from Blaine and all.
I refuse to lose touch with Blaine because of the break-up. He's been a wonderful friend to us, and I think Kurt understands the importance of friendship after what we've been through. Then there's the romantic side of me, the side that wants Kurt and Blaine back together again…there's still time. There's still time for all of us.
All of the gang sends their love back to you at the base. Puck was true to his word and did the best illegal recording that he could. I saw the footage, you're going to feel like you were there when you see it – hopefully at Christmas.
Tina has the most amazing news to share. It's more of an idea at this point, but she's thinking of going on a mission's trip to China and deferring Brown for a semester or two. Right now she feels lost and thinks that charity work may inspire her and give her the direction she needs.
Mercedes is still trying to get a lucky streak out West. She says it's where the major recording studio heads are based. She plans on balancing her time between the coast and Lima. She said Mr. Schue is still looking for an assistant to help with Glee Club – it's a job I once thought you would be perfect for….you know, if you ever decide to leave the Army.
Quinn is doing well over at Yale, she's thinking of getting a degree in gender studies. Santana seems content enough to be cheerleading at the University of Louisville, but I can tell that she misses the big city.
I know you can't go too much into too much detail about your life in the Army camp, but I hope to see more of you at Christmas. We still have our letters to get us through.
Yours forever,
Rachel
