Hello, just wanted to say another thank you for the reviews I enjoy reading them. Also, for the next few chapters they are going to be flashbacks.
Flashback – (4:30pm) – Before the chopper goes missing
On the Chopper – in the air – Just after taking off
"This is so exciting." Belle said to no one in particular as she looked out the window.
"Have you never been off the ground before?" Xavier curiously asked his friend.
"No, I've never been on a plane or helicopter till now." Belle replies.
Listening to the conversation, Kyle speaks up: "If it helps, I also have never been off the ground before now."
"Aww, we can count this as the first of many new things together." Belle smiles at him.
"Totally agree." Kyle said then noticed his best friend was so quiet "Are you ok mate?"
Rocco was pulled out his thoughts to reply to Kyle: "Yeah I'm ok. Just thinking about Cassie and Johnny."
"They'll be fine besides we should be home in a few hours, and you can see them again." Kyle reminds him.
The four teens then carry on talking amongst themselves.
Up the front, both Colby and Bianca were in the middle of a conversation.
"It feels weird knowing that Peter is actually gone." Bianca points out feeling slightly guilty over the fact he had died due to her wedding.
"I know exactly what you mean." Colby agrees with her "But, as long as you remember his death was not yours or Heath's fault."
"Heath knows that but personally it's a little hard not to feel like that when if I hadn't picked that barn or if we just changed the date then Peter might still be here."
"Dan doesn't blame you so don't go blaming yourself, okay?" Colby tells her.
"Okay, I'll try not to." Bianca says then hear's the laugh of her brother-in-law from somewhere behind her.
Behind them the teens had been laughing at what Rocco had told them about Cassie's weird food cravings.
"That's disgusting." Xavier says, "Why would you even let her do that?"
"I have to agree with him on that one. I like quavers and I love chocolate ice cream, but I would never put the ice cream in crisps." Kyle says pulling a face.
"Well, I did tell her that but then she just did it more so, I let her get on with it in hopes she'd figure out it was gross but that never happened." Rocco laughs.
"This is one of my best friends you're all picking on here." Belle points out trying to quench the laugh she wanted to release.
(4:53pm) 23 minutes later…
On the Chopper – in the air – Going over the bush during the storm
The chopper was currently flying over the bush when the rain started, and the wind had picked up.
The pilot, Ryan told everyone: "Guys and girls, we're about to try and go past this storm so I need everyone to just bear with me and as much as possible."
Everyone starts to look at each other then they just go silent as they continue to look out the windows.
(4:57pm) 4 minutes later…
Suddenly there was noise which had the pilot swearing: "Sorry folks was not meant to say that."
"What's wrong?" Colby asked, the cop in him coming out.
"I'm just hoping that noi…" Ryan goes on to say when suddenly the engine made another noise and his face went pale "EVERYONE HOLD ON!"
"Why?!" They all shouted but doing as they were told just as the storm started moving them around.
"WE'RE GOING DOWN!" Ryan shouted.
"Mayday! Mayday! We are going down! Someone do something! Help us! AAHHH! We're going down! Oh my god! I'm losing control! Somebody help us! We're going to crash! Please! Do something! Everybody grab a hold of something! Engine power is zero, we're going down! Going down! Hold on! Hold on! Brace yourselves! We're going down! Somebody help us! I don't want to die! AHHHHH! Help us…..."
Suddenly without warning the chopper drops from the sky and slams into the bush below.
(5:08pm) 11 minutes later…
On the ground – In the middle of the bush – Inside the Chopper
Darkness was all the Kyle could see. Suddenly it felt like someone was slapping his face.
"Come on Kyle." A voice said.
Slowly opening his eyes, he noticed Bianca looking at him and a smile spread across her face.
"What happened?" Kyle asked as he tried to move.
"The chopper crashed but everyone's luckily alive." Bianca told him "Now, does anything feel broken?"
Shaking his head: "No, I don't think so although my neck hurts a little bit."
"That's ok everyone's neck might hurt for a little bit due to us getting bashed around."
Just then Colby appeared and said: "Thank god. Now if he can move, we need to get him out just in case this thing blows up."
Nodding her head in agreement, Bianca starts to help Kyle out of the seat.
"Where's Belle?" Kyle asks looking for her.
"Colby got her out already, I think she has broken arm as it's hurting her, but it should be fine." Bianca said as she managed to get the seatbelt loose.
Once the seatbelt was loose, Kyle slowly stood up as much as he could and Bianca carefully helps him out making sure not to knock the wrist they think she might have broken.
On the ground – In the middle of the bush
Colby waited until they were both out then jumped back in with Ryan to try and grab everyone's stuff before they lost them all.
Making sure that no one was listening, Bianca pulling Kyle to the side quickly asked: "Please tell me you brought the full bottle of your tablets."
"No, I didn't." Kyle quickly replied then with a look of worry says, "You don't think we are going to be out here that long do you?"
"I have no idea Kyle, but I promised Brax I would keep an eye on you."
"Oh god. They're going to be really worried." Kyle starts to panic.
"Hey, they are going to find us. I just needed to know how many you had."
"14."
"What?"
"There's 14 in the bottle I had. So, I have enough for seven days." Kyle says but stops as Colby comes over with his and Bianca's bags.
Grabbing their bags and saying thank you, they watch Colby walk away.
Kyle opens his bag and tuns to make sure no one can see the bottle.
Opening it Kyle goes silent.
"Kyle?"
"Em, you know how I said I had 14."
"Yeah." Bianca replies rubbing her wrist as it was hurting.
"Well, I don't."
"WHAT?!" Bianca says then quickly lowers her voice when the others look at her "How many do you have?"
"I forgot I knocked it on the floor and I only have 8 tablets left."
"That's only enough for four days Kyle."
"But you said they'll find us so I should be fine, right?"
"They might not find us in four days though. You are just going to have to try and make them last."
"Brax will kill me if I don't take them."
"He'll understand and I'll take the blame." Bianca informs him.
"Ok." Kyle says, "I had one this morning, so I'll not have one tonight."
Bianca nods her head then looking at the others saying she is going to check on Xavier to make sure he's ok.
After giving everyone their stuff, Colby decided to say: "Guys, we need to see what rations we have."
"Rations?" Rocco says.
"Yeah, we got the rations box off the chopper and knowing you lot you also packed snacks and stuff, so we are going to have to pull everything together. Also, we have a first aid kit as you already know." He replies nodding towards the sling on Belle's arm and the bandage that was now getting put on Bianca's wrist to stabilise it.
With that everyone starts taking the snacks and drinks they had out of their bags and puts that in one heap so they can sort through it all. In the end, Ryan the pilot and Bianca are put in charge of supplies to make sure they have enough to go around for however long they were going to be in the bush.
(7:32pm) 2 hours and 24 minutes later…
A fire had been started and they were all crowded round it except for Rocco who was sitting a little further away from everyone.
Noticing this, Colby grabbed the bottle of water they were all sharing and walked over to the teen.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Colby says handing Rocco the water.
Taking the bottle, Rocco goes: "Eh?"
"It's just a saying mate."
"Oh."
"Are you ok? You've been quiet ever since we crashed and came too."
"I'm just think about Cassie and Johnny."
"They'll be fine they both have Sally to get them through this."
"Johnny has just lost Adrienne though Colby. He thought he was also going to lose me and now he has. And, what about Cassie? She needs me. Our baby needs me."
"Johnny hasn't lost you, okay. They are going to find us but until then we need to be strong. Cassie and the baby will be ok, and you will get to see them soon."
"But you can't promise that Colby."
"No, your right I can't but you know what Alf is like, he will have a search team sorted as soon as they know we never made it to the city."
"You think so?"
"Mate, that man sees you and Bianca as his grandchildren along side his actual grandkids."
"No, he doesn't." Rocco replies to the cop.
"Yes, he does. So, I can guarantee he won't let anything stop him from bringing you two or the rest of us home." Colby points out to him "Now, take a drink and come and join the rest of us."
Laughing, Rocco does as he's told and takes a drink then joins them all near the fire.
(11:41pm) 4 hours and 9 minutes later…
It was nearing midnight and all four teens were fast asleep. Belle was cuddling into Kyle for extra warmth and security. While Rocco and Xavier were on either side of them.
While they all slept Bianca, Colby and Ryan were stood away from them all but not too far so that they couldn't keep an eye on them talking about what they should do.
"So, what do we do?" Bianca asks quietly "Because we don't even know if anyone knows we're missing yet."
"Well, that not exactly true." Ryan tells her.
"He's right." Colby agrees.
Bianca looks at them both confused.
"As soon as I sent that transmission, they would have known something was wrong."
"Not to mention the fact that Rachel has probably called the hospital in the city to check in and see how we are all doing. Therefore, she'll know we didn't make it and they'll have search teams going already plus they'll send out helicopters."
Looking up at the sky and watching the rain fall around them as it had started to pick up again, Bianca goes: "And how exactly are they going to spot us from the sky when it's raining? Even I know another chopper wouldn't go into weather like this."
Sighing, Colby said: "Bianca, we just need to have hope that they'll find us."
"I agree with Colby here. Look we have enough rations for a couple of days. So, I say we stay here as this is the best place for the search teams to find us." Ryan says "Now, I suggest we follow that lot's lead and get some rest ourselves as we need to conserve our energy the best we can."
Colby and Bianca both nod their heads in agreement then try to find the driest spot possible and quickly fall to sleep. The last thing Bianca thinks about is Heath and what this is going to do to him when he finds out she's missing.
