Question for you all. How would you guys feel if Shiro did not die? Please, please review!

XxXxXxXx

It had been a busy few days as both Keith and Hunk went to get more scaultrite while Lance, Shiro, and Pidge went to rescue Slav, and both Princesses returned to the Balmera. All three teams had their missions. Hunk, Pidge, Lance, and Coran quickly warmed into accepting the new knowledge of Keith being half Galra. But Allura continued to give Keith the cold shoulder.

Shiro looked up when there was a knock on his bedroom door. "Come in." He called. The door to his room opened to reveal Celestia walking in.

"You asked to see me?" She asks, placing her hands behind her back.

He stands up, and places the frame that he's holding, back onto the desk. "Yeah. Just how powerful is White Lion?"

"White Lion can connect to Red, Green, Yellow and Blue Lions if needed." She explained. "That's why she's just as big as Black Lion." She gives him a funny look. "Why do you ask?"

"I was just asking. Can White Lion do anything else?"

"White Lion is like Black Lion's twin. Everything that your lion can do, so can mine."

Shiro nods. "Will he set his sights on you if White Lion helps Voltron?"

Celestia drops her arms to her sides. "Shiro, why all the questions?"

"Because this could be out last chance in defeating Zarkon." He answers. "I don't want any surprises."

She blinks. "What surprises?" She turns slightly. "I'm going to stay here in the castle with Allura and Kolivon, I'm sure she'll feel better that she won't be alone with a Galra."

Everyone stood in the bridge.

"Alright guys, listen up." Shiro commanded as he stood on the platform, everyone standing around it. "I'll use Black Lion to lure Zarkon's fleet to our current location and make sure he's within the teludav's area of effect. Keeping the teludav hidden behind the space-fold until the last possible second is essential." He turns to Slav. "We can count on you, right, Slav?"

"Absolutely. I'll be fine." The annoying alien answered, he scrunched his eyebrows as he looked to the side. "I'm not sure about the gravity generator, though." He added as his many hands fiddled.

"What?" Hunk turned to him. "What was that?"

"Hiding a ship is one thing, but I've never had to build a gravity generator for something this large before." Slav spread his arms as he explained. "I know it'll work, but I'm not really sure for how long." He finished as he brushed his chin with thought.

"Well, that's a risk we'll have to take." Shiro said. "Once Zarkon's ship is in position, Kolivan and Antok will coordinate with Thace. Together, they'll take down Zarkon's security system and upload the virus."

"And then, he'll be a sitting du-flax." Pidge smiled, but frowned when everyone looked at her. "What? A du-flax is an Altean creature with a beak and webbed feet." She explained as Coran walked up to the platform.

"We'll wormhole Zarkon 500 million light years away!" He said with a lot of enthusiasm, and demostrated with the hologram and threw threw it like a frisbee, making everyone wince when the hologram crashed in the corner of the room. "And he'll be in the Yggiz Galaxy before he knows what's hit him!"

Shiro turns to Kolivan. "What about Thace?"

"He should be getting into position now. We received his last communication three quintants ago. We should hear from him soon." The Galra answered.

Shiro nods. "Let's do it."

XxXxXxXx

"Zarkon took the bait." Shiro spoke through the speakers of the Castle Of Lions. "He's got my location. Is everybody in position?"

"We've not yet heard from Thace. He was supposed to contact us two vargas ago." Kolivan answered.

Antok turned to him. "He could've been captured."

"Or killed." Kolivan added. "We need to abort the mission immediately."

Allura turned to give him a nasty glare of hatred. "Abort? No! We cannot back away now." She said firmly.

"The Blade of Marmora does not take chances. It's how we've survived for so long." Antok told her just as firmly.

Allura replied with cold. "It's held you back. Your caution is the reason Zarkon is still in power."

"Allura!" Celestia snapped.

"It is alright Princess Celestia." Kolivan said, looking at her, then turned his attention back to Allura. "We would rather wait than jeopardize everything. Besides, it's too late to get someone else on the inside."

Keith stood up suddenly. "I'll do it!" He volunteered.

Allura turns to him in surprise. "What?"

"Keith." Celestia trailed off.

"I'll sneak onto Zarkon's ship. I'm Galra, so I'll be able to interact with their technology. Pidge, you can rig up one of those pods with a cloaking device, right?"

Pridge straightened at her station and looked at him. "Well, yeah."

"Going onto Zarkon's ship is a suicide mission. I would never command someone so inexperienced to go on a mission so dangerous." Kolivan said, while looking at Keith.

"No one's commanding me. I'm doing it." Keith said firmly.

"Pidge, get that pod ready." Shiro ordered. "Keith." He paused for a long moment. "Let me know when you're on your way. I'll cover you."

XxXxXxXxX

Celestia ran into the pod bay, finding Keith still there.

"Ok, the cloaking device is ready to go." Pidge was saying with a smile, and he nods.

"Thanks."

Pidge then sees Celestia by the door, then turns to look up at the Red Paladin. "Good luck out there." When he nods, she turns and runs off.

Celestia walks over to Keith. "Please be safe out there." She wishes.

He nods. "I will, you be safe too."

She smiles a little, then holds up a necklace that has a wolf pendent, it's eyes has diamonds. "This will help you too." She wraps her arms around his neck to clasp the necklace, then kisses him gently. After a long awhile, they pull away.

"Celestia ... may I have a moment with Keith, please?"

Allura's question had both turning to the door.

Celestia folds her arms. "Why?"

Keith gently takes her arm. "It won't hurt."

She turns to him, but caves. "Ok." She kisses him gently. "I'll be in the bridge." With that she turns and walks out of the pod bay.

"I've got Zarkon on the hook. Bringing him your way. Keith, you ready? We've only got one shot at this!" Shiro called.

"Engaging cloaking device. Moving toward the fleet now."

"Roger that. I don't see you, but I'm locked on your signal. I'll clear a path."

"Thanks, Shiro. I'm coming in hot!" Keith then yelled, before they hear a loud crashing noise.

"Keith!" Celestia cried, grabbing Hunk's arm in worry. "Keith!"

Keith can be heard grunting. "I'm in!"

Celestia sighs in relief.

"The plan is working. Keith is on board and Zarkon's fleet is on the way." Allura said as she stood on the platform.

"The Castle of Lions defenses are up and ready to go." Lance informs.

"Starting gravity generator now. Commencing cloak." Slav said from the engine room.

Kolivan is tracking Keith's progress. "Ok, you've made it to the lower communication deck. Head left down that corridor."

Antok took over. "Based on the schematics from Thace, there should be a large door up ahead. This is the central hub for the Galra fleet."

"I see it."

Shiro continued to fight off the fleet of Galra, while leading them to the teludav. "I'm two minutes out. Is everybody ready?"

"No, Keith hasn't made it to the hub yet. We need more time." Kolivan answered.

Shiro grunted as he fought to keep hold of Black Lion. "How much more?" As he asked, the other Paladins ran out of the bridge, Celestia watched them with worry.

Slav's panic came from the speakers. "I hope not much because my gravity generator is not going to run forever!"

Shiro grunted again. "I don't know how much longer I can hold Zarkon's fleet in this position by myself!"

"You won't have to!" Pidge's voice called out.

There was relief in Shiro's voice. "Good timing. Ok, we've got Zarkon's ship right where it needs to be. We gotta keep it here until that virus is uploaded. Let's do it!"

"Kolivan, I'm in. Now, what?" Keith's voice came next, after some time.

"Now, you need to reset the system, using the codes that Thace obtained. It'll be down for a dobosh. That's when we'll upload the virus."

Celestia chewed on her thumb nail with worry and nerves as rapid beeping is heard through the speakers.

"It doesn't seem to be working."

Celestia turns to Kolivan in worry. "Try it again." The Galra told him.

Silence came from Keith's end.

XxXxXxXx

Celestia watched the main screen, her nerves getting shot, so when Slav's voice came through the speakers - she jumped and latched herself to Kolivan's back like a very scared cat.

"Uh, everyone, the gravity generator won't maintain power much longer. If it goes down, we're just going to be uncloaked in open space!"

"Do all you can." Shiro said from inside Black Lion. "We just need to hold out a little longer."

Coran stood near Allura. "Princess, the teludav is completely exposed!"

Celestia laced her hands together in front of her, under her chin. "Keith." She whimpered.

Allura turned to Celestia, then back at the main screen. "We cannot wait any longer. I'm powering the teludav now."

"No!" Celestia cried. "Keith's still in there!"

Kolivan moved to Coran's panel, but Celestia beat him to it, and now stood in between him and the station.

"Kolivan, please." She begged, her eyes shined with glittering tears.

"I'm sorry, Princess." He apologizes as he walks around her. "The system is down. Uploading virus now."

When the uploading of the virus was complete, Coran took his place as the giant wormhole opened. Setting the course for the castle to fly through. "Everyone, hang on! Here we go! Hurry, Paladins! We must make it in before the wormhole closes!"

Shiro's image appeared on the screen. "Coran, how's Allura?"

"She's weak, but ok."

"You take care of her. We got it from here."

"Shiro!" Celestia cried, running up to Kolivan's side and grabbing his arm when she fell forward. "Where's Keith!?" She cried.

Keith's image appeared on the main screen, next to Shiro's. "I'm here. Thace's did it."

Kolivan nods. "It's good to see that you're ok Keith." He smiled.

"Banged up, but ok." Keith said with a nod and half smile.
