Bear POV

I had gone down to the gym earlier than most of the guys to avoid the staring. The ones I have worked with in Boston or during the military didn't stare but the newer guys did. It isn't that I care, it just gets really annoying. Pushing open the door, I realize it is empty except for Hector. I've met him a bunch of times when he comes to Boston to update the systems.

After I stretched I hit the treadmill. I wanted to put in 10 miles before moving to the weight room section. Hector crossed the room and climbed on the machine next to me.

"Tank said you are part of the detail this week." He said

I nodded.

"There may be some information hitting the public after I speak to my informant and talk to Mr. Plum."

I nodded again, I had barely any information. Just my trust in Ranger. 20 minutes later Hector jumped off his treadmill and walked around the front of mine. He looked at me like I was a piece of meat, winked then walked out. That man was ridiculously good looking. Glancing at the clock I headed to the weights.

Meanwhile in Miami

Elena Manoso POV

I landed at the airport an hour ago and headed towards Rangeman Miami. Julio was not answering any of our calls. It is unacceptable. He better fix this mess Carlos had made. If my mother-in-law I'd blame her for his horrible behavior. She treated him like he was so important. It was her who would tell him how much better he could do. Even Ella is the same.

When I went to purchase my flight and rental car, my card was declined. DECLINED! ME! Elena Manoso. This needs to be fixed now. I pulled over in front of the building and stalked towards the door. Yanking it open, and heading towards the elevator.

"Stop right there ma'am!" I hear behind me.

"What do you want? I am going to see my son. Do you know who I am? My son runs this office. Julio will fire you for treating me this way." I stomped my foot.

"Ma'am you are not permitted in the building per the new management. If you wait I can have somebody come down and let you know his forwarding information."

I was seething, Carlos fired his brother. I was disowning him as soon as he answered the phone. This large monster of a man led me towards a lobby couch. 20 minutes later a large native American man came out of the elevator and walked up to me.

"My name is Bruiser, I am the manager here at Rangeman Miami. If you follow me to the conference room somebody will be in to explain everything."

Reluctantly, I followed him to a conference room not far from the elevator. The room was exceptionally decorated. Obviously, it was Julio's doing. Carlos had no taste.

"I will be right back. Please have a seat." He said. 15 minutes later the door opened back up. Bruiser was leading a man and a woman in suits in.

"Mrs. Manoso, my name is Agent Ray and this Agent Martinez. You are under arrest for embezzlement."

Back in Trenton

Ranger POV

I have an early appointment with Bear and I want him to meet Stephanie before the other men. I think they will get along well. Since he scares everyone we won't have much trouble in public at the courthouse. First, I need to see if she had breakfast. I know Tia Ella was going to bring her something. Knocking on the door, I heard laughter and then it opened revealing Ella and Stephanie sitting at the breakfast bar.

"Hey Ranger, your aunt came over and brought breakfast. Do you want to join us? She brought so much and these cinnamon rolls are amazing." Stephanie asked.

Tia Ella kissed my cheek and told us she had to dash off to clean up the break room but she would check back later.

"Breakfast would be good." I sat down next to her and took the empty plate.

"What's the plan for the day?" she asked.

"Your dad and uncle are coming over and we are going to introduce you to the team for this week. Make sure you are comfortable. However, before that we are meeting with Bear. I think you will like him."

Stephanie started at me, "Okay, if you think it is necessary. Do they know about me? You know what happened?"

I shook my head, "None of that is pertinent to this assignment. All they need to know is who to protect and who from."

She looked at her plate but nodded her head. We finished eating in silence and she dashed off to get ready. 20 minutes later she returned and we took the stairs down to 5. The floor was quiet as we made our way to my office.

"Have a seat and I will tell Bear we are ready for him."

Five minutes later there was a knock on the door, when it opened and Bear stepped in and Stephanie stood up and turned around. Seeing Bear she smiled and stepped forward.
