S-Shaken
He went to get her pickles and ice cream because she was craving them; He never expected his entire world to change when he got back.
He felt the change even before he entered the room. He did not even bother digging for his key; he kicked the door down. The room was deathly quiet as panic overtook him. He called out her name but all that answered him was silence. That was when he found her lying in a puddle of her own blood, clearly traumatized.
"Who did this to you," he demanded, but he already knew the answer. "The baby," she cried. "Brandon, the baby."
She was hysterical now; he never could stand to see her weep like this. "Baby, don't cry," he pleaded, as he lifted her off the ground. "That piece of scum is going to pay for this; you and Ellie will be just fine."
He knew he could very well be lying to her but he would not let her see his fear; she was everything to him and he would make sure she never doubted that their baby would live. He was just as shaken by her attack as she was. He could only pray that she did not suffer, as he feared. He put the phone on speaker and dialed Gina and Owen as he drove. Their honeymoon had just come to a heartbreaking end and he needed her family to keep him from completely losing his mind. He would be her strength as she had always been his.
