Chapter 22: So Irritable
Brittany's POV
The last few weeks have been uneventful really. Santana and I have both just been working hard and anxiously awaiting the arrival of the baby. We've been going to all the antennal classes we can and have been reading books and constantly checking websites to keep updated on everything we need to know as the pregnancy progresses. Our moms have also been giving us some advice which is good so I'm confident things are going to go smoothly when the baby comes.
As much as we're getting more and more excited as the days pass and get closer to our baby arriving, there is a downside at this time. Well at least there is for me anyway. As the days go on, the more Santana seems to get annoyed by me or basically any other thing that happens. I mean just last night she got up and out of bed in a rage because our next-door neighbour was returning home from work. She was ready to go outside at 10pm at night to argue with the guy because he was returning home at that time of night. I mean that's not even her business nor is it anything out of the ordinary for people to work late at night depending on their job.
"Morning honey, how are you?" I ask my wife as I enter the kitchen where she currently is.
"Hmm…let's see. My wife snored all night and I got no sleep so yeah I'm good" she replies sarcastically.
"Santana I really don't snore" I assure her.
"So, I went to bed with a chainsaw last night then" she tells me.
"I'm serious babe, I don't snore. Ask anyone that have shared a room with me and they'll tell you that I really don't snore" I state. All my friends and family can back me up on this.
"Whatever, I'm over it now" she says while waving it off.
"You're clearly not over it if you mentioned it two seconds ago" I chuckle. If she was over 'my snoring' then she wouldn't need to bring it up this morning.
"We both need to get ready for work" Santana says, changing the subject.
"I know I need to get ready but are you sure you want to go into work?" I ask. "I thought maybe now would be a good time to start the maternity leave" I suggest.
"I don't want to sit at home and do nothing. It'll only make me think about things that I don't want to think about especially when I'm pregnant" she tells me.
"You're 37 weeks pregnant babe, I'm really not sure going into the office to work is the best idea. I'd rather you were at home and if something happens, I can come home as soon as possible" I say. "I really don't want to tell you what to do because it's your body and your decision but you are a couple of weeks away from giving birth" I point out.
"I don't know babe" Santana sighs. "Being alone and being pregnant is a triggering time for me right now because of what happened before" she adds.
"I can understand that but what about working from home. Maybe you could do that and that way you can occupy your mind but you're still in a more comfortable setting" I say.
"I guess I could do that but it still means I'm alone" she states.
"I'll be finished teaching for the school year by the end of next week so I'll be home for a while thereafter so it's only really a week you need to do this" I reply. "Honestly though it's your decision so it's up to you" I smile.
"Ok, I'll work from home but you're calling me whenever you get a break at work for the remainder of this time" she replies.
"I will, I promise" I say while kissing Santana's cheek.
As soon as we're both ready for work, Santana gets set up to work from home and I head out to the car to make my way into school. I usually use my drive into work to think about happy things to psych myself up and put myself into a good mood so I'm prepared and happy for the day but today is different. I'm kind of having mixed feelings this morning because as much as I'm happy it's Friday, I'm still a bit concerned about Santana. Even though I convinced her to work from home and not go into the office, I'd still prefer it if she took the next couple of weeks to rest and relax. I understand it can be lonely at home doing nothing so I get why she wants to work but work isn't always relaxing so I'm worried she'd rather stress herself with work for something to think about than just relax.
As soon as I park up at work, I quickly send Santana a text to let her know I've arrived and ask her if everything is ok. I then make my way inside and up to my classroom as I await on her texting me back.
From Santana: everything is good babe, don't worry. Have a good morning at work and I'll talk to you soon. We love you : )
To Santana: ok good. I love you and baby too, talk soon x
Once I've sent the text, I put my phone away and get ready for my first lesson of the day.

It's finally lunch time and not only am I happy because I can now finally have something to eat to take care of this empty stomach but I get to talk to my wife for half an hour or so. I take my lunch out of its cooler bag before taking a bite of my sandwich and then I call Santana. When she doesn't pick up, I instantly go into panic mode. I grab my things and take off down the corridor, ready to tell my boss I need to rush off home. I'm just about to knock on her door when my cell begins ringing. I quickly look at it and see Santana's face flashing on the screen so I answer it right away.
"Hey, I am coming home right now babe. Don't worry, I'll be there as soon as I can" I assure her as I knock on my boss's door.
"Why are you coming home?" Santana asks nonchalantly.
"You didn't pick up when I called you so…"
"Honey, I was in the bathroom peeing, that is why I didn't pick up. I've called you back now so everything is fine" Santana states, interrupting me. "You didn't really think I'd had gone into labour already or something and didn't call you before now, did you?" she asks.
"Yeah I guess I did" I say feeling stupid. I turn around and make my way back to my classroom. Thankfully my boss wasn't in her office so she didn't answer so I saved myself the embarrassment of going to ask to go home and then changing my mind.
"Honey I have my phone with me at all times so if anything happens, I'll call you. I just didn't answer when I was in the bathroom because it's a bit unsanitary to touch my phone after peeing" she says with a chuckle.
"Yeah, first rule as a kid was to always wash our hands after using the bathroom" I say with a smile. I am so relieved that everything is ok right now with Santana and the baby.
"So…are you on a lunch break then, is that why you're calling?" she asks me.
"Yeah so like promised, I'm calling to check in and just talk to you for half an hour or so" I say.
"Speaking of lunch, thank you for the sandwich you made for me and left in the fridge" Santana says gratefully. "I'm just eating it now" she adds.
"It's no trouble" I tell her. "I was making myself lunch to take with me so I thought I could just make you something as well at the same time. Also, I wanted you to be as relaxed as possible today so I thought saving you the hassle of having to make something to eat would be good."
"Well I really appreciate it" she tells me. "So how is work babe?" she asks.
"It's ok actually. Some of the students are a little distracted because it's Friday though and they'd rather be at home or hanging out with friends" I admit.
"Yeah I know what you mean" Santana replies. "The highlight of my school week was always the Friday because it was close to the weekend which was when I could sleep late in the morning and hang out with my friends and maybe make out with you or something" she says. I can tell by the tone of her voice that she's smirking at the last part.
"Yeah I remember those days well" I say smiling, fondly thinking about the memory.
"As much as it was fun, it's definitely better now because you and I are creating our own family and live by our own rules. No more lectures from our parents for staying out too late and having too many sleepovers when we should be studying" she states.
"Yeah I mean being a teenager was fun but I like how we've progressed in life to where we are now which is in a different kind of fun place" I say.
"Exactly" Santana replies.
"So anyways, how has working from home been for you?" I ask curiously.
"It's been ok actually. A lot better than I thought it would be which is good" she tells me. "I'm not going to lie; the day does go a little slower when I'm sitting on my own but it's really not as bad as I thought" she adds.
"That's good" I say happily. I'm glad she's doing ok and managing to keep herself occupied when she's alone.
After a while, Santana and I decide we need to get back to work so we hang up the call. It was a little bit teasing to be able to talk to her during work so I wasn't as thrilled when I had to go but it really wasn't going to be long before I got to head home. As soon as I finished eating, it was time to start work again so I got my next class prepared and then got started.
I'm in great spirits today because after work today I don't need to go back for a couple of months. It's the end of the academic school year for the students and since I'm a teacher then I get a summer break too. Also, my baby is due in the next few weeks so I was taking some maternity leave anyway to help Santana with the baby. I'm just in the kitchen just now getting some breakfast and preparing my lunch for the day.
"Morning babe" I say as I turn around to pack my lunch into my cooler bag.
"Morning" Santana replies with a sigh.
"Are you ok?" I ask in concern.
"I just did not sleep well at all last night" she states.
"Honey you should have woken me up and I'd have sat with you or did something to help you get back to sleep" I tell her.
"I didn't want to wake you because I knew you had work today and needed to be well rested" she tells me.
"Yeah but you're more important and you're my priority so I'm here for you whenever you need something" I say.
"I know but it's honestly not that big of a deal, I'm just a little annoyed at being tired" Santana says. "I'll be fine though soon enough I'm sure" she adds.
"Ok" I nod.
"I might just go for a shower now to wake myself up a bit" she replies.
"Ok well I'll be going soon but I can wait until you're out of the shower if you want" I offer.
"No don't be silly, I'll be fine to take a quick shower on my own" Santana assures me.
"Ok" I say, nodding again.
"So last day for a little while at work, have fun" Santana smiles.
"I'm sure that I will" I smile. "You have fun working too babe" I tell her.
"I've actually decided not to work today. I've spoken to my colleagues and we've agreed that I should just take my maternity leave now. I pretty much wrapped up a lot of cases yesterday so there wouldn't be any point getting into something new today when I wouldn't be able to finish it before the baby comes" Santana replies.
"In other words, are you saying Brittany was right?" I ask smugly. I suggested last week that she should stop working at the moment.
"Yes, you were right but gloating doesn't suit you so please stop" she smiles at me.
"I'm just teasing" I smile back. "Anyway, I should go now but call me if you need anything" I add.
"I will" she replies with a nod.
"I will see you when I get home" I say while leaning down to kiss Santana.
"See you later" she smiles.
XXX
Work is finally over for a little while so I'm now just driving home. I'm excited to get home and just spend some time with Santana and enjoy what days we have left as a twosome before our little baby comes along. Don't get me wrong, I'm also looking forward to becoming a parent and sort of filling in that missing piece in my life. Santana and I have been through so much in the last couple of years so I'm finally looking forward to something going right for us. We've always wanted to have children and now I finally think this is working out for us. We'll never forget our first child and we'll make sure this new baby and any other kids we have will know about Katelyn.
"Honey I'm home" I say to Santana as I make my way through the front door.
"I'm in the living room babe" I hear Santana reply.
"Ok, be right there" I say before making a few trips in and out to my car to take all of my things into the house. I then take what I can carry into the living room with me.
"Jeez babe, did you bring the whole of the gift store home with you?" Santana chuckles.
"Very funny" I smile.
"What is all of this stuff you've bought?" she asks me. "Don't you think we had enough baby stuff already?"
"Oh, I didn't buy any of this" I shake my head. "These are all gifts from my students. Some are goodbye gifts from the seniors and others are baby gifts from some of my students."
"Oh, ok" she nods understanding.
"I didn't realise my students liked me this much" I laugh. I was never a horrible teacher but I was strict when I needed to be.
"I can't say I am surprised by all of these gifts actually because I know you, and I know you're an amazing teacher and person" Santana smiles.
"It was really very sweet of them to give me all of this stuff" I say. I'm not going to lie, I actually teared up a little bit at school when they all gave me their gifts.
"So, do we take a look at everything you've gotten or did you want to wait until the baby was here?" Santana asks.
"I say we take a look now because I want to know what's all in here besides the obvious" I say while waving the arm of a giant teddy bear in the air. I can only imagine that that is the baby gift and the scented candle was the goodbye gift and not the other way around.
"Let's see what you've got then" Santana says as she moves over to sit closer to me and all the gifts. "If you don't mind me being nosy, that is" she smiles.
"Honey, these gifts are as much mine as they are yours" I smile. I talked about Santana a lot to my students so I know these gifts were for her too and not just me. She's even met some of my students when she helped me chaperone a few dances and Santana also came into school on one of the career days to talk about her career so my students know her to some degree.
"Ok, cool" Santana smiles. I can tell she's excited to see what we've got…well what the baby has I should say.
"This stuff is really quite nice and it'll be really useful to us for the baby" I say as we start opening up all the gifts. We've got a whole variety of things for the baby from toiletries to clothes to toys.
"Do you know teachers can get a lot of shit these days but there is no way anyone can say you don't do a good job. I mean all of these gifts just prove that" Santana tells me. "I am 100% sure that everyone who passed your class have you to thank for being such a good teacher. The ones that didn't, well that's not exactly your fault because some people just don't like school" she adds.
"Yeah I mean I hope I did a good job and helped everyone to pass my class" I smile. "Unfortunately though no matter how hard I try, there are students that just weren't interested in my help or any other teacher's help. It's a shame for them but some students just don't care."
"I know but you did the best you could so don't ever feel bad about that" Santana says while squeezing my hand.
"Thanks" I smile.
"Can I read some of the cards your students gave you?" Santana asks.
"Yeah of course" I smile while handing her the pile of greetings cards that I've already opened.
"Look at this card, it's cute" Santana says while beginning to read it aloud. "Thanks for being the best teacher ever, Mrs Lopez" Santana says.
"A few of the cards say that actually which I thought was really sweet" I say.
"If the school gave out teacher of the year awards then this year's award was definitely going to be yours" Santana tells me.
"That would have been cool" I smile. "Even if there was an award and I didn't win I'd still be good with it because I can see most of my students like me" I add.
"Yeah and you like them too" Santana nods.
"I do. They're all really great people and so hard working" I say.
Santana and I are just having a relaxing day today. There are chores I could do but I don't really want to do them now, I'd rather spend some time with my wife. We're just lying in bed next to each other. Santana is watching the TV and I'm looking at some stuff on my tablet. I'm not really looking at anything exciting online, just going through social media. I don't think Santana is watching anything interesting on TV either but it's nice to just relax in bed and do nothing, knowing we don't need to go to work any time soon.
"Oh my god Brittany, it's time" Santana says while shooting up in bed while clutching her stomach.
"Wow, ok" I say trying to stay as calm as possible. Since we never got this far in Santana's first pregnancy then it's all new territory now for me. I've went to the classes with Santana and we've done as much as we can to prepare but I'm never quite sure the best way to handle things. I mean I don't know how I can help with contractions except by just driving her to the hospital.
"Well help me out of the damn bed and let's go to the hospital" she states unamused. "Don't just lie there looking at me" she says as she clutches her stomach with her hand.
"I'm sorry" I say before springing into action. "Ok I've got the hospital bag so let's go" I say while picking it up and walking over to Santana. I take her hand in my free hand and help her towards the door.
"Ok" Santana nods.
"How far apart are the contractions?" I ask. I think that's something you're supposed to know because then it determines how quickly the baby could come.
"They're not" Santana shrugs.
"What?" I ask confused.
"Just kidding baby" she smiles at me.
"Wait, seriously?" I ask. I can't tell if she's been joking with me or not.
"Yeah it's not time yet honey" she smiles again.
"That's not nice teasing me like that because it's a stressful time for me too. I know you're the one carrying the baby so it's up to me to do everything else" I point out.
"I'm sorry, I just really wanted to make sure you were prepared and you are so it's all good" Santana states. "I have no concerns that when I do go into labour then you'll be right on task" she smiles.
"I certainly will" I smile back.
"Hey, since we're up now shall we go downstairs and get some lunch?" Santana suggests.
"Yeah, sounds good" I nod.
"What shall I make us?" she asks me.
"I'll make something, I'm not having you doing all that stuff when I'm perfectly capable of doing it for us" I tell her.
"It's just making some lunch babe" she tells me.
"I know but I want you as rested and relaxed as possible. You know that so let me make the lunch today and you can put your feet up" I say.
"Ok" Santana smiles before kissing my cheek.
"What was that for?" I ask with a smile.
"For always taking care of me" she replies.
"It's no trouble" I shrug.
"You're going to be an amazing mom when this baby comes" Santana says.
"Maybe but I definitely think you'll be an even better one. I mean you're doing a lot more than me right now to bring our baby into this world. All I had to do was have sex with you and that was no trouble at all" I smirk.
"I would give yourself a little more credit than that because you've done loads for me and this baby already" she smiles. "Trust me, you'll be a great mom" she adds.
"Thanks" I smile.
I'm currently just in the kitchen making some breakfast right now for Santana and I. I wanted to do something nice for her because things have been a little strained between us. The baby is now overdue so if I thought Santana was irritable before then it's nothing compared to now. I hate seeing her so miserable but at the same time, I'd rather the baby was overdue than premature. I don't think either of us could take more heartbreak so at least if the baby is still developing then it's a good sign to me. Technically it's probably not great to be overdue but like I say, it's better than being premature, I think.
"Morning honey" I say as Santana walks into the kitchen.
"Still no baby, Pierce" she tells me unamused, not bothering to greet me this morning.
"It's not exactly my fault babe" I tell her.
"Help me sit down" Santana states while pointing to the chair.
"Ok" I smile. I walk over to my wife and gently help her sit down on the kitchen chair.
"I didn't sleep again last night" Santana tells me.
"I'm sorry honey" I say, feeling bad for her. There really isn't much I can do right now to help which really sucks. Other than sit up with her and not sleep myself, I don't know what else to do.
"It's not your fault" she shrugs.
"Maybe tonight you'll be tired enough that you'll manage to fall asleep without much effort" I say optimistically.
"Hopefully" Santana sighs.
"I'm making us some breakfast right now" I tell my wife as I go back to cooking.
"That's good because I am so hungry right now" Santana replies. "I think the baby is hungry as well because they keep on kicking" she adds.
"Can I feel?" I ask.
"Yeah you don't need to ask, it's your baby too" Santana states.
"I know but I thought I better ask just in case you snapped the hand off me for touching you without permission" I smirk.
"I'm sorry about the mood I'm in these days" she sighs. "I just hate this waiting around now. I've been pregnant for so long now and still have no baby" she states.
"I understand that" I nod.
"Like I say though, this is your baby too so don't be afraid to come near me because you have every right. I'm just in a bad mood because of my frustrations not because of you" she smiles.
"Ok" I smile back.
Once I finish making breakfast, I plate it up and take it to the table. I then sit down next to Santana and we begin eating our food. We don't really say too much as we eat since we're both hungry. It's a strange feeling sitting eating breakfast together because each morning I wonder if it'll be the last time just the two of us before there will be three of us eating breakfast together. I know the baby can't eat solids right away but they'll still be here with us when we're having breakfast and stuff.
"I looked up a few ways to bring on the labour last night so maybe we should start trying them" I suggest.
"Honestly, I would do anything right now to get this baby out of me" Santana replies. "What kinds of things did you find?" she asks.
"There's certain foods we can eat or do some gentle exercise. Walking is supposed to help so maybe we go a short walk today and see if that works. If not, I could cook something spicy for dinner" I say.
"I'll give them a try but I don't know that I can walk all that far at the moment" Santana tells me.
"That's ok, it doesn't have to be a long walk. It can just be a really short distance and we can stay around this area so that if you do go into labour then we're not too far from the house or the car to take us to the hospital" I reply.
It's another fun day in the Lopez house today. My wife is still incredibly pregnant, overdue actually, and irritated. She actually went as far as to push me out of the bed this morning, accidentally of course, but still it happened. She was trying to sleep another hour because she was tired but she just couldn't get comfortable and when she put too much emphasis into trying to roll over, she ended up shoving me off. Santana is actually back in bed now, trying to take a nap to make up for the sleep she lost last night. I'm just tidying up a little to make use of my free time.
"Oh god Brittany, are you listening to that crap music again?" Santana asks shaking her head as she walks into the room.
"Jeez, you gave me a fright" I say surprised. I thought she was still upstairs in bed. "Did you manage to take a nap?" I ask.
"No" she shakes her head again. "I thought your snoring kept me awake but apparently it's the opposite. It seems the baby likes the sound of a chainsaw because without you there, the baby wouldn't stop moving so I couldn't sleep" she adds.
"I'm not sure if I find that sentence offensive or sweet" I say with a chuckle. I don't like my sleeping habits being compared to a chainsaw but I do like the thought of my baby missing me.
"I'm sorry, I'm just frustrated and tired again" Santana sighs.
"I understand that so don't worry. I can imagine it would be very irritating to know the baby should be here by now when it's not" I say. "I'm here to help you though so just let me know what you need and I'll do it."
"Thank you. Hopefully he or she will be here soon though" Santana smiles.
"Speaking of the baby, are we any further on names yet?" I ask.
"I don't know" Santana replies. "The perfect name just doesn't seem to be coming to me. I don't know if it's because we still don't know the sex yet so we are having to think of double the amount of names since it could be either a boy or girl" she says.
"I finished reading a book a couple of weeks back and there was a character in it called Ellie so I thought maybe that would be a nice name for a girl" I suggest.
"It kinda makes me think of Ellie the elephant so I'd rather not go with something that our kid could get bullied by on the playground" Santana replies. "Don't people usually say things like that when comparing someone to the size of an elephant?"
"I'm sure there is a bad connotation to every name in some way or another" I state. We can't really pick out a name just in case it can be something used against them to bully them. I mean there are obvious names that that could happen with but we can't be too picky otherwise we won't come up with anything.
"I suppose" Santana nods.
"How about Elliot for a boy?" I suggest.
"Nah I don't like it" Santana shakes her head.
"Yeah I wasn't exactly 100% sold on the name either" I say as I think about it.
"Amie spelled with an 'ie' instead of a 'y' could be nice perhaps?" Santana suggests.
"I guess that's an option" I say as I think about it. It wouldn't be my first thought but there's nothing wrong with the name either. "What about Mackenzie?" I ask.
"For a boy or a girl?" Santana asks.
"I don't know actually. I've heard of both I think" I say.
"I've always liked the name Grace" Santana suggests.
"Yeah it is a nice name" I smile.
"Madison as well" she points out.
"Yeah I don't mind that name either" I say.
"Maybe the perfect name will come to us once the baby is finally here and we get to see their little personality" Santana says.
"Yeah maybe" I smile.
XXX
Santana and I have been in bed for a while now. Santana was reading for some time hoping it would tire her out and she would fall asleep. It didn't seem to work though so she's been lying awake for a while. I on the other hand was looking at some things online on my tablet when I began to fall asleep so I decided to stop. I never got a chance to get to sleep though because as soon as Santana saw me close my eyes, she wasn't letting me sleep when she couldn't.
"Are you still not sleepy yet?" I ask my wife as I turn around to face her.
"Brittany give me the damn cover, it's too cold in here" she states while snatching the bed sheet away from me, completely ignoring my question.
"Sorry" I say while lifting the sheet up to cover Santana a bit more.
"No, I'm sorry" she sighs. "I really don't mean to be so mean to you. I just hate this" she says.
"I know" I smile as I wrap my arms around Santana and hold her tightly. "It really can't be too long now before the baby comes" I say.
"Yeah" Santana smiles. We lie quietly for the next few minutes in each other's arms.
"Honey you really need to get moving in there. Your mom is becoming incredibly irritated and a pain in my ass. I mean it's also really beginning to get to me" I whisper to the baby as I gently caress Santana's stomach.
"I can hear you Pierce" Santana says opening her eyes and glaring at me.
"Oh…I thought you were finally asleep" I say nervously laughing.
"No, not yet" she shakes her head.
"I was only joking by the way" I tell her.
"I know but even if you weren't, I wouldn't mind because I know I've been a bitch lately" she says. "I really do love you though" she adds as she twists her head round to kiss my cheek.
"I love you too" I reply.
It's another day and another day that the baby isn't here yet. Santana and I are both really hoping today is going to be the day. Not only is Santana really frustrated and irritated, we also just can't wait any longer to meet our baby. We just want that little baby here already and to finally move on in this next chapter of our life.
"So, what do we do today?" Santana asks me.
"I was really hoping today would be the day for the baby to come" I say.
"Yeah me too" she agrees.
"The walk and the spicy food the other day didn't seem to help so do you have any other suggestions?" I ask. I am running out of ideas for things we can do to persuade this baby to come out.
"I thought I read yoga was supposed to help but I am most certainly not doing that right now" she tells me.
"Yeah I read about relaxation techniques that could work but I doubt anything would relax us when we're just so desperate for this baby to come" I reply. I think it would just frustrate Santana even more doing something like that because all we've been doing is trying to relax and keep calm in the hope the baby will come.
"I know sex is supposed to help" Santana points out.
"I'm game if you are" I smirk at my wife.
"If you can find where you need to go under this huge belly then by all means, let's do it" she states.
"Trust me, I am pretty sure I'm confident of my destination" I smirk again.
"All I am saying is that it's been a while and I've never looked like this before" she shrugs.
"And all I'm saying is I've been having sex with you for years so I know what I'm doing and where I'm going" I smile.
"Ok" Santana smiles back.
"Do you want to take this upstairs because it might not be as comfortable if we do it here on the couch?" I ask. Even though the main purpose of having sex is to see if we can bring the labour on, I still want it to be comfortable for Santana because it's still a special moment between the two of us.
"I don't have the energy to go back upstairs right now. Plus, if we're lucky enough for it to work then I'd rather not navigate stairs when my labour starts. We'll get to the car quicker if we stay downstairs" she replies.
"Ok" I nod. "Hey, let's sit down" I say while gently taking her hand and leading her over to the couch where we sit down.
"I guess we just sort of start" Santana says, laughing nervously as we look at each other.
"Yeah" I smile. Since this is sort of scheduled then it's not the most romantic of moments right now but I'm sure it will be when we get more into the mood.
"Come here then" Santana smirks as she puts her hand on my neck and pulls me closer so we can kiss. As soon as our lips touch, we fall straight back into a comfortable place where it's not awkward anymore.
"We should cut to the chase and just undress" I say as I reluctantly pull away from my wife's amazing lips.
"Yeah we should because I'm in no position to tease you and strip for you" she laughs.
"That's ok" I smile. I don't expect her to do anything to exert herself when she is basically 10 months pregnant now.
I quickly strip out of my clothes so I'm left in my underwear before I return to the couch. I then gently help Santana to remove her shirt and pants. I gently hover above my wife as I lean down to kiss her before slowly removing her panties down her legs. I am getting very quickly turned on right now and I can see Santana is too. As I'm making my way, kissing down my wife's body, I feel her tug on my underwear meaning she wants me to remove them.
"We can't do anything if there's still a layer of fabric separating where we need each other most" Santana tells me.
"I know" I smile while removing the offending item of clothing. I then lean down and kiss my wife again. After a few kisses, I pull away and sit up slightly so I can pull Santana closer to me by the legs.
"I don't think you'll get in like that" she states as we can't seem to get the correct angle between us.
"Maybe if you lift your legs in the air a little then" I suggest.
"Honey, I can't even roll over in bed so I very much doubt I can lift my legs in the air comfortably" she tells me.
"Right, yeah" I laugh. I guess that was a bit silly of me to assume Santana was as mobile as she usually is because at this stage in pregnancy, you can't do much.
"What if I turn to lay on my side?" Santana asks.
"I'm not sure the couch is big enough for us to do it like that" I say.
"It might be if you lie behind me" she states.
"We'll try it then" I say. I gently help Santana get into a comfortable position before I lie down with her. I wrap my arm around her and kiss her to get things a little more intimate again. Just as I get us into a comfortable position, Santana twists her head and kisses me.
"This works" she smiles at me as she pulls away for a second.
"It does" I smile back as we intertwine our fingers. I then lean in and kiss her again.
"Uh-oh" Santana says as she pulls away from me.
"What's wrong?" I ask in concern.
"I genuinely think the baby might be coming now" she says as she looks at me with fear in her eyes. Yeah, I can read my wife's face right now and she's definitely not lying. I don't know how the hell it happened though because we've barely got started.
I honestly did not mean to take this long to update but anyways, if anyone is still reading this then let me know what you think.
