Days Later
"What has you so distracted.?" Lucas asked. Focusing his gaze on his wife.
"I promised Ang that i would keep the talk we had in the car while i was driving her to school between us. And i've been thinking it over in my head these past few days about what we talked about. And i know now that you need to be fully informed. You're her dad. You're insight matters just as much as mine." Brooke said.
Lucas took a deep breath. And sat down beside her.
"You have my full attention what do i need to know.? That she didn't feel comfortable telling me." Lucas asked.
"Angela revealed to me that she's in love with him. That i was somewhat prepared to hear. I could tell just by hearing her talk about him how strong her feelings were. What i was taken off guard about was her telling me that she wants to be put on birth control. To be prepared and safe in case she ends up sleeping with him." Brooke confessed.
Lucas's eyes went wide. "I don't think i heard you correctly. She's 14. He's 16. That is already concerning to me. Now you're saying she's planning for this to happen soon. I assume." He replied.
"She didn't give me a timeline she said she just wants to be prepared for the near future. It was alot for me to hear. I told her what i wished someone would of told me back then. As for the birth control aspect of the situation. I told her i would make an appointment with my doctor. And that we would go from there." Brooke said.
"This can't happen. It's too much way too soon." Lucas replied.
"I remember being that young. Being involved with boys that i had no business even talking too. If i go back i would of waited until i was older and knew who i was and what i was doing." Brooke said.
"You tell her that. And anything else you think she needs to hear. I'll be right with you." Lucas said.
"She needs to hear from us both. We decided 16 was the right age for the kids to start dating and nothing has changed." Brooke replied. Turning from him as she left their bedroom.

Lucas got out his laptop and searched up the name Austin Miles. To his surprise nothing came up. And that struck the father as very odd. What 16 year old has no social media presence at all.? He thought to himself. As he closed his laptop. And joined his girlfriend in their daughter's room to talk.
