Chapter 26: Stargazing and Bonding

A month passed in the Pride Lands. Ever since Kopa had the nightmare and flashback three months ago, he has been thinking about his half-brother and littermate, Chaka. Chaka has been going through Kopa's mind, and it wouldn't go away. Every time this would happen, Kopa would feel extremely guilty. On this evening, Kopa was going to head back to Pride Rock after going a walk with his two sisters, Aisha and Kali, who were now a year old, and it was also their birthday. "You girls go back to Pride Rock," Kopa said to his sisters.

"Wait you're not going back now?" Aisha asked, shocked that her brother is telling her and Kali to go back without him.

"No," Kopa replied. "I need to be alone for a bit."

"You sure Kopa?" Kali asked, concerned.

"Yeah I'm sure," Kopa said trying to sound reassuring. "And happy birthday to you two girls."

"Well," Kali began, still not sure. "Well ok if you're sure. And thank you, Kopa." With that, the twins gave their brother a nuzzle and headed back to Pride Rock.

"Well now that they're heading back," Kopa said to himself. "I'm gonna go find the place me and Chaka stargazed when we were two months old." With that, Kopa went to go find where he and his half-brother stargazed when they were two months old.

Ten minutes later, Kopa found the place where he and Chaka stargazed. It was now dark outside and Kopa could tell it was night. He then saw two images of two cubs. It was an image of him and Chaka when they were two months old.

"Here should be a good place to stargaze," two-month-old Chaka said to Kopa.

"I agree," two-month-old Kopa replied with a smile. "This at least has grass even though there isn't a lot."

"Agreed," Chaka agreed. With that, the brothers laid down in the dirt and stargazed for the night. With that, the image faded. Kopa let out a heavy sigh, remembering how there was little to no grass at the time. There was now grass. Kopa then laid down in the same spot he laid down at and started to stargaze.

Meanwhile, Aisha and Kali returned to Pride Rock where they were met by their heavily pregnant mother and step-father. Nala realized that Kopa wasn't with them. "Where's your brother?" Nala asked the concern clear in her voice.

"He said he wanted to be alone," Kali informed her mother. "He didn't say where he was going to though."

"Yeah," Aisha chimed in. "I think something is bothering him. He's been acting strangely for the last three months."

"I'm gonna go find him," Nala declared. Then she turned to her mate and said, "Would you mind watching Aisha and Kali for me Simba?"

"Of course I can," Simba replied with a smile. With that, Nala gave her mate a nuzzle and gave her daughters a nuzzle and went to go find her son.

"Well let's head inside the cave girls," Simba said to his step-daughters. "You both had a long day."

"Ok dad," the twins said. With that, the twins followed their step-father to go inside the royal cave to get some much-needed sleep.

Meanwhile, Kopa was staring at the stars. He didn't know what to say because he had no one to talk too. Suddenly, he heard his brother's two-month-old voice, including his.

"These stars are beautiful tonight," Chaka replied, laying in the what used to be grass, now dirt. Kopa looked to his left and saw his two-month-old brother's image.

"They sure are," Kopa said, laying down beside his brother. "For once though," he muttered.

"True," Chaka replied. "It's always cloudy during the night. I'm just glad we were able to sneak out." Chaka and Kopa both snuck out to stargaze for the night. They weren't caught by Scar or his hyenas.

"Yeah," Kopa replied. "We were lucky. Scar ALMOST caught us."

"Well we were lucky on that one," Chaka said. Then he said, "Hey Kopa?"

"Yeah?" Kopa replied, staring at the stars.

"What do you see in these stars?" Chaka asked.

"I can see images," Kopa replied. "Like food is an example. Oh, I also, see a lion up there."

"A lion?" Chaka asked confused. "Kopa what are you…"

"Mom told me that when our loved ones die, they live up there," Kopa explained.

"Wait a minute," Chaka said. "Are you talking about the Great Kings of the Past?"

"Yeah I am," Kopa replied. "Not only are the Great Kings of the Past up there but the queens are too. Even loved ones are up there two. Our relatives, and so for."

"Ah yes," Chaka said. "I remember Auntie Sarabi and Grandma Sarafina telling me about them two weeks ago. Now I understand."

"Glad you understand now bro," Kopa said with a smile.

"Hey, do you think we will be up there two?" Chaka asked, now looking at his right to face his brother.

"Yes," Kopa replied, looking to his left and facing his brother. "We will be up there too one day."

"We'll always be together right bro?" Chaka asked.

"Always," Kopa replied with a smile.

"And forever," Chaka added with a smile. With that, the brothers then looked up and continued talking about stuff in general. With that, Chaka's including his image faded.

Kopa felt tears forming in his eyes. He quickly wiped his eyes with his paw and looked back up at the stars. It was the same stars as the day he and Chaka stargazed when they were only two months old. He put his paws on his chest, where there was a small fluff of brown mane growing as he continued to stare at the stars.

"Oh Chaka," Kopa thought. "I wonder how you're doing up there. If you're doing okay. Please show me a sign that you're doing okay." Then suddenly he heard a calm yet concerned voice at the same time say, "Kopa?" Kopa looked up to his right and saw his heavily pregnant mother, standing there.

"Oh hey mom," Kopa said. "What are you doing out here this late?"

"I came looking for you," Nala explained. "Aisha and Kali told me you wanted to be alone. I'm just concerned about you."

"Oh," was all Kopa said.

"Mind if I join you?" Nala asked.

"Sure why not," Kopa said with a shrug. With that, Nala laid down in the same spot Chaka laid when he and Kopa stargazed a year and 8 months ago.

"Still thinking about Chaka?" Nala asked.

"Yeah," Kopa replied with a sigh. "I don't know. I just can't seem to move on from him. Ever since I had the nightmare and flashback three months ago Chaka has been going through my mind. Even when we stargazed a year and eight months ago in this exact area."

"You both stargazed here when you both were two months old?" Nala asked shocked hearing both of her sons have stargazed out here when they were young.

"Yeah," Kopa replied.

"How did you two get out here without getting caught?" Nala asked, curious to know.

As Kopa was about to tell his mother, a flashback went through his mind.

Flashback - when Chaka and Kopa were two months old

"Kopa, wake up," Chaka whispered, nudging his brother. They were currently inside the royal cave with a lot of hyenas including Scar sleeping in the middle of the cave. Kopa was sleeping alone in his sleeping spot.

"Chaka?" Kopa whispered, opening his eyes. "Why are you waking me up now? It's still night."

"Oh come on Kopa," Chaka whispered, trying his best not to beg. "Can we spend some brotherly time together just you and me? And besides, the stars are out tonight."

"They're out tonight?" Kopa whispered, keeping his low so no one would hear them.

"Yep," Chaka whispered. "I checked myself a few minutes ago and they are beautiful tonight."

"Then I'm headin' out now," Kopa whispered, quietly getting up to his feet.

"Then let's go, bro," Chaka said quietly. With that, Chaka slowly exited the cave and waited for his brother. Kopa quietly walked, but all of the hyena snores were bothering him. He then looked at Scar, who was sleeping beside Zira. He then looked at the exit of the cave and saw his brother still standing there.

"Come on Kopa," Chaka said quietly. "The hyenas are in a deep sleep. They won't wake up." Kopa then realized that every hyena including Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed was in a deep sleep. He then tiptoed out of the cave and followed his brother to go find a somewhere to stargaze for the night.

End of Flashback

Kopa then looked at his mother after the flashback ended. "Well," Kopa began. "I was woken up by Chaka in the middle of the night. I asked him why he woke me up and he said because it was beautiful that night. Then I decided to go out with him. Chaka went out first. I was about to go out until I heard the hyenas snoring around the cave, which built up nervousness inside me. Chaka from outside the cave told me that they were in a deep sleep. So I tiptoed out of the cave so no one in the cave will hear me. Once I was out of the cave, that's when we started to search for somewhere to stargaze for the night, and it was here."

"Must have been hard for the both of you to find somewhere to stargaze because the lands were still empty at the time," Nala said.

"It was," Kopa admitted. "We almost lost hopes of finding a good place to stargaze. I'm just thankful me and Chaka were able to find one which is of course here." Kopa then noticed a nervous expression on his mother's face. "Mom what's wrong?" he asked, the concern clear in his voice.

"I..." Nala began. "I was going to talk about your father."

"My father?" Kopa said. "What about him? What did he do to you?"

"Are you sure you want to hear it, Kopa?" Nala asked. "It may sound disturbing to you."

"Well," Kopa began. Then he shrugged, "Sure why not?"

"Ok," Nala said, taking a deep breath. "Here it goes..." A flashback suddenly that day went through Nala's mind.

Flashback *Warning! This flashback is rated M! It contains sexual content! If you guys don't like sexual content, then you guys don't have to read this flashback* - somewhere in between Chapters 2, 3, and 4 that isn't mentioned

"Kopa if Chaka asks where I am say I'm out looking for your father," Nala told her six-month-old son. Nala and Kopa were currently inside the royal cave. "But if Scar comes, say I'm out hunting elsewhere."

"Ok mom," six-month-old Kopa said. "I'll tell him if he comes here, but I'll tell Scar you're hunting elsewhere."

"Thank you, Kopa," Nala replied with a smile, giving her son's forehead a lick. With that, Nala exited the cave to go find Asante. Little did Kopa know his mother wanted nothing to do with his father after what happened two months ago.

TLKTLKTLKTLKTLK

Ten minutes later, Nala reached the gorge. She debated rather or not she should go down. She then decided to go down to the gorge. Once she was down, she decided to take a walk in the gorge. However, after five minutes of walking, she saw Asante standing there with a smirk across his face, much to Nala's displeasure.

"What are you doing here Asante?" Nala asked angrily.

"Oh sweet Nala," Asante said sweetly. "I see you're still mad at me eh? Still bitter with me I see."

"You really think I'm gonna stay bitter towards you Asante?" Nala said, glaring at her soon-to-be-ex-mate. "You're really just a waste of my time. So I will thank you to leave me be now." With that, Nala turned and began to walk away from Asante. But before she could go any further, she felt a harsh tug on her tail that almost caused her to fall. Nala looked back and saw that Asante had her tail tuft in his mouth. He gave her a come-hither look, raising both eyebrows at the same time.

Nala froze. Her heartbeat started to pick up as nervousness and anxiousness started to build up inside her. Asante let go of her tail and went closer to her, putting a foreleg around her, and whispering to her ear in a lustful voice, "Still bitter eh? Admit it Nala. Admit your still bitter towards me. Admit that your still bitter towards me because of me abusing Kopa." With that, he gave Nala a nuzzle, much to Nala's discomfort. Nala then roughly shoved Asante as his nuzzle was getting rougher.

"Don't you have your other mate to be with?!" Nala said roughly, her teeth clenched. "Besides, I'm no use to you anyways!"

"Oh please," Asante scoffed, rolling his amber eyes in annoyance. "That mate of mine is no use to me."

"Oh yeah?" Nala shot back. "If she's no use to you, then why did you have to cheat on me?!"

"Oh please Nala," Asante scoffed, rolling his eyes again. "Really. I just love toying around with lionesses. Besides, why are you even here anyway?" he tilted his head to the side when he said that last part.

"The reason why I'm here is that I need some time alone!" Nala shouted furiously.

"Oh really?" Asante said, arching an eyebrow.

"Yes," Nala growled, her teeth clenched. "And I didn't want to run into you! You're a miserable snake! I hate you!"

"Oh, naive little Nala," Asante said sweetly, a sickening smile on his face. "I know that you're still bitter towards me because of me abusing Kopa. But I know the real reason as much as you do on why you're actually here."

"And what reason is that?" Nala said her tone flat.

"You know you wouldn't be able to live without me," Asante said, his voice low and his face inches to Nala's. Asante then slowly nuzzled Nala. However, Nala did not return the nuzzle. She tried to pull away, but before she could even do so, Asante's foreleg went around her side and a paw was placed in her back, preventing her from pulling away. Nala tried to break out of it, but because of Asante's strong grip, she was unable to do so. Nala suddenly started becoming uncomfortable because of the way Asante was holding her.

"Still think you hate me Nala?" Asante whispered in Nala's ear. Nala said nothing. She let out a low moan as Asante's breath went into her ear. Asante then nuzzled the side of Nala's neck, causing her to moan a bit louder. Nala then looked down and tried to raise her paw, but because of the way Asante was nuzzling the side of her neck, she could not raise her paw. Instead, it was shaking as she tried to raise it. Nala gritted her teeth as Asante started becoming more forceful to her body. She tried to catch her breath, but every time Asante put moves on Nala, she was forced to take quick breaths, causing her heartbeat to pick up even more. Then suddenly, Asante stopped but still held onto Nala, who was catching her breath. Then suddenly, Asante gave the side of Nala's neck a lick that went all the way up to her cheek, causing Nala to close her eyes and let out a moan. Then suddenly, Asante started to become more forceful again. His body connecting to hers, as Nala tried to catch her breath, but every time she tried to, she would be forced to take quick breaths as Asante's body was going into her's by force. After a while, Asante stopped. Nala took the chance to catch her breath. Then Asante whispered in Nala's ear, "Say it Nala. Say you don't hate me. Say you're not bitter with me." Asante's claws began to extend and the paw on Nala's back had claws extended as well, causing Nala's heartbeat to pick up.

"I don't hate you," Nala whispered, closing her eyes as Asante's breath went into her ear. "I don't hate you, Asante. I'm not bitter towards you Asante."

"Good girl," Asante said with a smile, licking the side of Nala's neck that went all the way up to her cheek, causing Nala to moan. Then suddenly, Nala was pinned to the ground. Asante licked Nala's neck and the mating process began.

End of Flashback *back to Rated T*

Once the flashback finished, Nala took a shaky breath and then looked at Kopa. She then told Kopa about his father seducing her the day Kopa saw Chaka the last time. Once Nala finished, Nala wiped away the tears in her eyes with her paw. Kopa was absolutely stunned at what his mother had just said.

"Dad seduced you?" Kopa asked, shocked that his father would do such a thing to his mother.

"Yes," Nala said with a shaky breath. "He seduced me. I tried to get away but I couldn't because of how strong your father was."

"Damn that sick bitch," Kopa growled, his sea-green eyes fiery. "He would do such a thing to you?! He's lucky that he's not alive because I would have killed him for what he's done to you. No one does this to my mother and gets away with it!"

"Kopa," Nala said calmly, wiping her eyes with her paw. "Your father is gone now. He will never touch me again. So you won't have to go after him."

"Your right mom," Kopa said with a sigh. "But..." Kopa got up to his feet and walked a few feet.

"But what?" Nala asked, the concern clear in her voice. "Kopa honey are you alright?"

"I don't know," Kopa replied with a sigh. "I really don't know. I miss Chaka every day. It's a pain in my heart that I can't seem to move on. I have not fully moved on from him. He's been going through my mind ever since I had the nightmare and flashback. I just feel so damn guilty. If I had convinced him to try and talk to you when we were two months old then Chaka wouldn't be dead. He would've escaped with us. Not only that, but he would also be living a healthy life after Scar died. I-I just... don't know anymore. I really don't know what's the point in life anymore without him. I'm not so sure if I can continue without him." By now Kopa had tears in his eyes and he quickly wiped them away with his paw. Kopa then felt a foreleg go around him. He looked to his mother, who looked sad expression on her face.

"Oh Kopa," Nala said, nuzzling her boy. "I know how you feel. But we have to continue on in life. If we lose someone we love we have to move on. That's what Chaka would have wanted. I wish for this was all a dream and I can see Chaka standing here with us, but sadly this is reality."

"I know," Kopa said with a sigh, including a shaky breath. "It would make me feel better to see Chaka again in person."

"Me too honey," Nala said. "Me too." With that, Kopa slid his head underneath his mother's chin, letting some tears escape his eyes, gently nuzzling his mother. Nala nuzzled her son back, and then gave her son's cheek a lick. After a few minutes, the mother and son pulled apart.

"We should head back," Nala said after a minute. "Simba will worry for me that I'm gone for this long."

"I agree," Kopa said. With that, the mother and son headed back to Pride Rock.

Ten minutes later, Nala and Kopa returned to Pride Rock and entered the royal cave where everyone was sleeping. Nala gave her son's cheek and lick and then went to sleep beside Simba in the middle of the cave. Kopa then went to his sleeping spot in the royal cave, which is in the corner of the cave. As he got to his spot, he laid down beside both of his sisters. He put his head in his paws to get some sleep. But Kopa knew that sleep would be hard for him because of Chaka in his mind.

A/N: Poor Kopa once again. And poor Nala was seduced by Kopa's father. She tried to get away from it but Kopa's dad was older AND stronger than her sadly. So that's why she couldn't break out free.

Anyways, that is it for Chapter 26! See you guys later for Chapter 27!
