It was Leon, Helena and Jill that had now spotted Carla as she headed up the stairs leading to a warehouse.

"Is that, Ada or Carla?" Helena pondered as Carla was now opening the door to step inside.

"Let's follow her to find out," Leon told them as he rushed ahead of the pair.

Once inside they now found no sign of her, until a figure slipped right by them. Leon only spotting her as she passed the machines blocking the view.

"What is it?" Helena asked beside him.

"She's there!" Jill quickly pointed out as the pair turned towards the door Carla was just now opening to step through.

"Ada!" Leon shouted, unsure of who it was.

They both always gave a smug look, so that was out of the question. The change of outfit was less of a giveaway once again as this one was wearing a ankle length tight fitting red dress with a golden dragon going all the way down it. There was also a long slit all the way up the side that almost reached her hip. The only thing that would give her away was if he called her by her name, she clearly hated it.

"No, you're Carla." He now said, getting a glare in response to confirm it was her.

He raised his hand in hopes of her staying where she was when the sound of gun shots rang out followed by someone yelling.

"Give it up, Ada!"

Carla quickly ducked to have the bullets now hit the metal door behind her. Quickly pulling out her grapple gun from the holster on her leg, she used the thing to pull herself to safety.

"So you managed to defeat my pet after all," she sighed as she now landed on the walkways above them. "Pity."

"Who the hell was that?" Helena scowled as Jill now ran over to see who it was.

By the time she reached the walkway they'd already moved on.

"Come on, we've gotta get to her before they do." Leon warned them.

"Coming," Helena nodded before turning to Jill. "Everything alright?"

"Yeah," Jill nodded. "It's just that voice sounded so much like Chris."

"Chris is here?" Leon asked.

"Sounds like it," Jill shrugged as she followed the pair on.

"Your partner's real trigger-happy that's all I can say," Helena could only respond.

"That woman is the reason why we lost over half of our squad. She even injected me with the same virus and Chris, Chris lost his memory all thanks to her."

"You're kidding," Helena stopped to look at her.

"How's that possible that you surv..." Leon started before Jill cut him off.

"It's a long story, something which I would rather we get into at another time." She told him as they continued on.

"Yeah, you're right." Leon nodded as they now entered the next room.

It was a large open space that had been separated by glass tanks filled with water and a floating cocoon inside. There were also some other electronic devices between the tanks.

"We need to get to that elevator. Run!" Leon shouted stupidly as it now alerted the others in there with them.

"Someone else is here," Piers was now heard. "Hostiles?"

"Maybe a few of her pets. Ignore them. She's the target," Chris reminded him as they too ran down their end.

Soon enough the five of them had stopped to look up just as Carla now talked down to them from the walkway above.

"Glad you could stop in. Like what I've done with the place?" she taunted them just as a laser wall lit up ahead of them. "Hope you like your stay!"

"Great, now we get to be sliced and diced." Leon groaned as he quickly slid himself underneath followed quickly by the other two. "Carla, stop this!"

She gave an amused snort. "I'm not Carla! I'm Ada Wong!"

"You're not Ada!" Leon shouted back as he reached the doorway. "Try to accept it. You're Carla!"

"Enough!" she snarled before moving on as Leon and Jill were now smashing the senses at either side of the doorway to cut the lasers blocking their way out.

Thankfully they just managed to make it there first as Chris and Piers seemed to still be tackling the laser walls. Helena was quick to press the button once all three of them were on.

"I'm sorry for your men and what happened to you and your partner, but Simmons is the one behind all this." Helena now explained. "He used his assistant to become Ada."

"What do you mean?" Jill asked a little confused by it all.

"He injected her with the C-Virus along with Ada's DNA," she explained. "He forced her to become the person he could never have."

"How is that even possible?" Jill asked, trying to take it all in.

"Anything's possible for him," Helena frowned.

"Look, we're not trying to condone all what she's done." Leon now added. "Carla will have to pay for her actions, but that means you have to work with us to save her. She's a key witness. Will you help us?"

Jill shook her head, but things were starting to make somewhat sense.

"I know it's hard for you," Leon looked to her. "After what she's done and all."

"I just don't want to see Chris go downhill," Jill now worried for her partner. "Alright, I'll have a word with him."

Leon pat her on the arm. "Thank you," he smiled genuinely.

Helena was the first out of the lift as soon as the shutter was raised, followed closely by Leon and Jill. She stood by the next set of doors as the pair now walked over. Quickly pressing the button to open the doors marked 01 after Leon had given her the go ahead, they all then slipped inside.

"What is this room?" Helena asked looking around at the tanks with cocoons in them once again.

"Don't know. And I don't like the look of it," Leon frowned as they all made it over to the opposite end.

Helena was over at the doors, banging her fists upon them before ramming herself into them.

"Locked!" she groaned.

Soon an automated voice was then heard.

"Engaging locks. Testing for prototypes."

Soon enough Carla walked right into the room ahead of them, stopping at the control panel to type something into the computer.

"Carla!" Leon now shouted through the glass at her.

"We've been conducting such fascinating work here," she ignored him as small robots were now set free. "Why don't you have some fun with the one of the new prototypes?"

"Carla, you're not doing yourself any favours by doing this!" Leon glared at her.

"Leon, she isn't listening!" Helena sighed. "She's too far gone!"

"No, we can still help her." He continued to look at the woman through the glass.

Jill watched as one of the robots bumped into her boot, the blue light above it then turned to red.

"I think these might be..." she quickly moved aside as it blew up. "Explosives."

Leon turned to look down now, being extra careful not to let them stay too close to him.

"They're rigged with explosive charges! What the hell is she thinking!?" Helena scowled as she kicked another away from her only to have it bounce into another then come right back at her, forcing her to jump out of the way.

"Carla, we don't have time for your games!" Leon banged on the glass. "Enough is enough!"

Chris and Piers seemed awful quiet as they listened to Leon going on about the woman being called Carla.

"Captain, what do you think they're talking about?" Piers now asked as he dodged another oncoming robot.

"I'm not interested!" Chris grunt as he kicked a robot so hard it bounced off the wall to spring back into two others. "I only know one thing, that bitch is dead as soon as I get out of here!"

Jill now decided to take it upon herself to talk to him.

"Chris," she called out.

"Captain, that sounds like..."

"Jill!" Chris responded back.

"Listen to me Chris, I don't want you to kill that woman out there."

"What!?" he snapped at her. "That woman just slaughtered the rest of our squad with a giant snake, Jill!"

"What!?" Jill now repeated turning to look at Leon.

He shook his head with a glum look. He felt bad, he really did but then he could only think of what happened back in Tall Oaks. All those people that Simmons had killed, hell he'd even used Carla and now the poor woman wanted nothing but revenge, and she clearly didn't care about who she took out as she achieved her goal.

"That bitch slaughtered them all with her fucking pet!" he raged, slamming a fist into the glass tank.

"She's not herself, Chris." Jill tried to explain.

"Why the hell are you sticking up for her, Jill?" he snarled.

"Look, I don't agree with what she's doing. But I just don't want to see you going down the wrong path. Please, Chris, just do the right thing and..."

"You expect me to just allow her to walk after all she's done?"

"No, she'll serve her time."

"That's too good for the smug bitch!" Chris pummelled the tank with his fist, making a small crack in it in which the water now leaked out of.

"Captain!" Piers now grabbed his attention, a little tired from having to keep the robots at bay.

"What!" Chris turned to glare at him.

"I think I can hack that," the Lieutenant pointed out.

"Get on with it then!"

Piers quickly rushed over to start hacking the terminal, while Chris kept the robots at bay this time.

"Hunnigan come in, we've got a small problem..." Leon now called her up just as Jill now walked over to their terminal to start hacking theirs, setting down one lock already. "Uh, never mind."

The automated voice now confirming it as both sides went at it.

"Security breach detected in Room One. Security breach detected in Room Zero."

On and on it went as they managed to bypass the security.

Carla decided now was a good a time as any to send out a few more robots as they were breaching security like it was nothing.

"Carla, enough!" Leon snapped as he almost got caught by one.

"Disengaging locks in Room One," the voice was heard again. "Disengaging locks in Room Zero."

Carla now turned with a smug smile on her face as she stepped from the room to drop down onto the walkway below. Once the doors were open, Leon, Helena and Jill all took the low ground, while Chris and Piers took the high ground. It was now a race to see who would get to her first.
