Authors note: Welcome to the next chapter of the Draugr. We are nearing the finale of this story, as only a couple of chapters are left. :)
In the last chapter Elsa, Anna and Hans were trapped in their own minds by the truth mirror, will they get out and save the day? You will have to read and find out.
Anyway, enough of me blabbering, please continue to read on to your hearts content and please leave a review when done as your opinions matter.
~We are healed of a suffering only by experiencing it to the full~
Darkness, it was all that was seen, all he could see. Was this it? Was this the end? Hell? Nothing but never ending darkness as far as he could see?
Looking around Hans tried to gage where he was, but there was nothing.
He paced, walked, ran, trying to find a way out, but there was non, the more he ran the more the darkness seemed to consume him. Voices disoriented him, the cries, was he loosing his mind? Was this punishment?
Covering his ears Hans shouted out, trying to drown out the voices.
"Hans" he heard, at first he ignored it.
"Hans!" The voice persisted, sounding louder and louder, as it did Hans decided to listen, that voice... it sounded familiar...
Turning to where he heard he saw a faint little light of gold on the distance, like a small star among the darkness, somehow piecing through to lead the way.
"Follow me! I can show you the way out!" called the voice. Hans hesitated for a moment, how would he be sure this was not another trick? Looking behind him then back at the light he immediately took off running towards the light since there was no other way.
If there was any hope of escaping he had to trust this voice would not lead him to his doom.
As he ran he paused when he heard splashing, water? Looking down he felt the floor, he heard splashing, somehow he had entered water, water that was not there before.
"What is this?" though Hans before continuing his way towards the light. Upon reaching it he found the body of a woman, laying face down on the water. Bending down Hans carefully picked the body of, hesitating as he feared this was an illusion or a trap, mostly a trap based on what he has been through the past couple of hours. She wore a purple tattered dress, her brown hair was a mess. Suddenly her eyes snapped open, grabbing his hand she pleaded "Please, save them" before her body vanished leaving behind nothing but a piece of the truth mirror, the rest turned into a light and shooting off into the darkness, leaving a trail of starlight for Hans to follow.
Not sure what she meant Hans decided to follow the light, in hopes that it would lead him to the way out.
Gasping Elsa snapped up and jumped to her feet before looking around in fear. She relaxed a bit seeing there was no danger, but soon began to fear that there would be no way out as there was nothing but darkness.
"Hans, Anna" thought Elsa in a panic as she quickly began to run, she had no direction but she figured that if she kept on moving, trying new directions, she would eventually either find her way out or find Anna or Hans or both. Both being the best case scenario.
After what seemed like forever, running in darkness she saw a glint of light.
"What's that?" she though as she approached it, bending down she looked, it was a piece of...
"The truth mirror?" though Elsa as she took the piece, as soon as she touched it a light burst from it and shot out into the darkness, leaving a trail for Elsa to follow.
With the piece of mirror in hand Elsa followed it for something told her that if she ever wanted a chance to escape, this would be it.
Anna screamed as she fell into darkness, landing in a loud thud. Groaning and holding her head Anna was surprised to find that she was not hurt. How? She did not know, but chose not to think about it as she picked herself up and looked around the darkness. There was nothing.
"What a mess I got myself in" though Anna as she ran her hand through her head only to pause when she spotted a glint of light, it was close at hand.
Taking it and holding it Anna saw it was a piece of the truth mirror, part of the handle and the bottom of the reflective mirror.
Holding it up Anna stared at it when suddenly it burst into light, shooting out into the darkness, leaving a path for Anna to follow.
Getting up Anna chases after it, hoping that it would lead her to the way out.
Her feet touching water Anna yelped, it was so cold. She jumped a little and backed away from it almost falling to her back. Breathing she looked around and soon saw the darkness had lighten a little, not much, but she could see something, shadows forming figures.
The devil troll? And... a woman? Confused Anna approached the figures carefully, ready to fight or flight if this was some kind of trap.
As she got closer she noticed that they were talking, was this a memory? A truth?
Closing in Anna heard what was said.
"I thank you so much Iduna" said the devil troll as he walked around in a stance that was cool and calculating,
"Mother?" though Anna as her full attention was on the scene before her.
"Your not getting away with this! You tricked me!" snarled Iduna in anger, tears streamed from her face,
"Oh did I?" asked the devil troll in a mocking tone,
"I was a child! I though you were my friend!" Idunn screamed at him.
"And what a good friend I am to you" he cooed "It was thanks to me that Agnaar lived, you wanted to marry him but could not so I made it so when you asked for my help, you could not have kids so I found the problem and healed you" then added with a growl "As for a child... you were not a child when you ask for my help to marry Agnaar, you were not a child when you asked me to help you get children, when you agreed to separate your daughters? Did I told you to go back to the forest to look for answers? Humm"
"You tricked me! You forced me" Iduna continued to scream in denial,
"Forced? Did I force you to do anything? Tell me now Iduna, tell me one thing that I ever forced you to do" said the devil troll as he looked down and smiled evilly to her.
Iduna stared, she opened and closed her mouth. Anna watched, begging there was something, anything, anything that showed that her mother was innocence. Her mother cannot be involved in this! Not her loving mother!
There was nothing, she said nothing as she looked down in defeat causing Anna to back away as she realized there was nothing. Her mother had done all of this out of her own free will...
Anger resurfaced, she was ready to scream and yell at what she saw even if it did nothing... this was not happening presently so her screams would do nothing.
But before she could the devil troll continued "I though so... I did nothing, this was all you, yes I gave you offers and helped you, but it's not my fault you accepted it. It was all you, I did not force you to do anything. I offered you to save Agnaar, then offered you a way to marry him, you accepted, I offered help to heal you so you could get pregnant, this was all on you" then paused before saying "It is very rude to accept help and not expect to repay the person who helped you for all these years when they need your help in return".
Iduna began to shake in anger and sadness, then the devil troll said fake cheerful voice" Well then seeing that we are such good friends and that I was like your fairy godfather" he chuckled "I will give you a deal", Iduna looked up, he gestured to the other side, pass a large river separating the two lands "I will give your daughters a fighting chance if... IF! You manage to cross the stynx river and get somebody, anybody in the Elysian Fields to help you... you do that and maybe your daughters might have a fighting chance"
He back away and stood back, crossing his arms and smirking as he looked at Iduna.
Anna stared nervous as she wondered what her mother would do.
"Not that you would care, all you ever cared about was Elsa" taunted the devil troll,
"Hold your tongue!" snapped Iduna,
"It's true! Tell me when was the last time you spend time with Anna? Gave her advice? Studied with her? Reading to her? Actually talking? Hummm?" said the devil troll.
Iduna said nothing,
"I though so, your a bad mother who never cared or loved and now look what happened. This is all on you Iduna, your choices brought your daughters destruction" said The devil troll "This is the end result, you say you love your daughters, but if you treat them like this, never guiding, never looking for other options... if this is how you treat them, how you did things, I hate to think what you would do to your worst enemies... I mean really! You cannot be this dumb to not see how your actions were wrong! To not ask for a second opinion! In fact you did not need one as anybody can see what a horrible idea it was! How it would end up badly" he paused bend down and said "Unless of course you chose this just because you wanted your daughter gone" this was the straw that broke the camels back.
Snapping she glared at the devil troll and said "I want them you troll! I love them both! Equally! I made mistakes! Yes I am a bad mother! But I shall rectify it no matter what! I will not let my daughters get hurt! They will be saved! No matter what price I have to pay to make things right!"
Turning to look at the river she proceeded to take her shoes off, ripped off her skirt and picked up her hair into a bun. Backing away she breathed before taking a running start, she ran into the water and continued to run before she began to struggle and swim.
"Oh yes! That's right! You won't make it over there, the stynx river will dissolve you till there is nothing left of her" said the devil troll proud of himself, not that Iduna heard, but Anna knew.
She stared, eyes watering, she always felt unloved and a spare, always pushed to the side for Elsa. To hear her mother admit her faults, that she cared and love both her and Elsa, not just Elsa.
Anna hugged herself when the shadows faded away and the darkness resumed, a new light appeared, showing Anna a path.
Did she wanted to go deeper? Did she wanted to know the truth? She knew it would hurt, but she had to continue, she had to know. For something told her that the truth was what was going to lead her to freedom.
So she took a step, then another and another as she made her way to the light.
Elsas feet hurt as she made her way through the darkness, following the light that pierced through the darkness. As she did the sky seem to lighten up a bit to a gray shade, all around shadows began to form walls, objects, forming a place.
At first she did not know where but as it changed she realized where she was.
"Ahtohallan?" she whispered as she looked around, suddenly she felt a coldness, turning she saw shadows forming... people?
Curious she approached them only to nearly die of fright at what she saw.
It was the devil troll, he stood up tall, taller than anything she had ever seen, in his hand he held dainty strings which were attached to herself or a version of herself...
She was dressed in her fifth element dress, but there was something wrong as she moved closer, having an arm around the devil troll, stroking him gently, lovingly even which almost made Elsa want to vomit at the though of touching such a vile and evil creature.
Looking at the scenes memories began to flash through Elsas head as she remembered her "show yourself" moment. It was all twisted, all wrong, one showed her chasing a light, the other a light pulled her in, one showed her her mother... her mother who had called her... the other.
Elsa shivered even more when she remembered the mirror glass stage she had been shown by the devil troll. She did not step into her power, she did not grow herself into something new... what she became... what she stepped into... it allowed something else to take control of her... posses her...
Looking back up she saw more shadows appeared, three of them,
"Who?" She whispered as she got closer only to jump back as the shadows took their full form.
It was the three main draugrs she had encountered in the cemetery, what were they doing there?!
They held weapons, one a sword, another a shield and the last a spear. The one holding the sword yelled "Let her go! She is not your snow queen!", upon hearing this the devil troll chuckled and did not respond, there was no need as Elsa felt the pure fear and dread, she knew his intentions and they were not good.
Suddenly she saw the shadow of herself let out a high pitch screech, it caused her to cover her ears and the draugrs to jump as her body began to contort, ice began to gather all around her, changing her, icicles formed on her hands and hair, her dress shifted to turn into a battle armor of sorts. Her eyes looked in dead, blue and angry as she moved her icicle covered nails and screeched again.
The draugr took a stance, standing in front of "Elsa", holding out their weapons as one declared "Let her go snow queen! I will not let you and your husband the devil troll take our granddaughter from us!".
"Granddaughter" whispered Elsa in shock as the scene faded away into darkness, only a light which shot out into it creating a new path for Elsa to follow.
Standing there Elsa let what she saw sink in. Yes she knew that what happened all that time ago was not what she though, but seeing what really happened with her own two eyes. It was something else.
Looking at the light Elsa steeled herself, took a deep breath before running after the light. The truth would be hard, ugly it seems as well, but she had to see, she had to know what happened!
Splash, splash, Hans heard as he walked through the ocean? Water? River? Yes maybe river, but it was hard to tell.
Moving on Hans continued to follow the light, as he did he saw something up ahead, waves? No! They were not waves as they do not move like that... currents was more like it.
Picking up the pace he approached it only to find it was a woman, the same woman he had encountered earlier.
She moved and struggled as she swam, gaging and grasping as she swam as hard as she could, trying to reach somewhere.
Looking behind him Hans saw a land, what or where it was he did not know. But must have been important as she was trying to reach it...
It was no use, her strength was failing, she could not swim anymore and upon closer inspection Hans was shocked to find that the water, somehow it was dissolving her, her body began to look see through and fade away, forming one with the waters.
The woman cried out in desperation, to somebody, anybody who could hear her "Please have mercy on me! Please I beg of you! Let me reach the plains! Please for my daughters!".
Her cries went unanswered, her fate seemed sealed as her body faded away to nothing.
Hans stared in shock at what he saw, falling to his knees at having to witness the death of that poor woman when all of a sudden a little ball of light rose from the water, it floated there for a bit as it seemed to be fighting with itself, much to Hans shock it split into two. One shot at full speed towards the land across the river or ocean while the other went to the hands on the devil troll.
Smirking the devil troll held the little ball of light as a song came from it.
That song? A haunting call?...
Why did it sound so... familiar?
Getting up Hans chased after the light that went to the land. There was a connection between this, that light and him! There was! He knew it! He had to know why!
The heel of her boots hit the leaves in a soft crunch crunch as Anna looked around shadow replica of the forest that changed her and her sisters lives forever.
Placing a hand on the shadow dead trunk she looked around. The place was so sad, there was no life, nothing, whatever was there had long since passed away.
Suddenly there was a crunch crunch crunch, it was loud and fast. Turning she saw a shadow version of her self running, it ran pass her, with... what were those things?
They were not human, human form yes, but that was it. Their bodies were made out of nature, one was made out of a tree, its body was the trunk and hair was made out of leaves and vines, another was entirely made out of ice, snow and frost, the last was made out of autumn leaves.
She stared in shock and awe as she watched the three chase after her shadow self, trying to stop her.
Anna ran after them only to stop when all of a sudden the shadow of a tidal wave coming down, it went pass her and much to her shock it swept up people, destroying the forest and arendelle... and the people inside of Arendelle!
"No!" Screamed Anna as she saw the people struggling to live. This was not right! They were evacuated they were...
She stopped when she saw a giant. Her eyes widen as she stared at his large human like body, made out of stone, trees and earth. It's steps made the ground shake as it made its way over to Arendelle. It went through the place, bending down and saving the people, placing them in its shoulders or head. Once it was sure everybody was saved it turned around and made its way to the mountains where the people were dropped off to safety before disappearing off somewhere.
Trembling and trying not to cry Anna processed what she saw. Her people... her people almost died because... how could this be? This was not true! They were safe, far away... how did they...
She was not able to think more as she saw the shadow version of herself. It walked over, seemed to be in a trance of some sorts, then a snow flake appeared, turning to look she chased after it.
It was then that the vision ended and another light shot forward, making a new path.
Nodding Anna forced herself up and to continue. The truth was horrible, but she had to go on. She had make things right and to do that she had to know the full truth, no matter how much it hurt...
Following the light Hans almost tripped when the light suddenly stopped. It hovered in front of him, it's glow growing dim then bright and back, much like a star.
Slowly approaching it Hans reached to touch it only to back away when he saw shadows forming once more. They formed people, of all shapes, colors, races and of all status, they all walked in a line, going somewhere, but where?
Suddenly the light began to move, it approached different people, it was pushed and swatted away. Ignored as it seemed to grow more and more desperate, trying to get somebody, anybody to listen to it, pay attention to it.
Suddenly a shadow did, gently it took the light unto its hand and held it.
Moving over Hans tried to get a closer look only to jump back when the shadow turned and faced him. Hans jumped back as the shadow walked over to him. It was actually there, interacting with him.
As it reached, holding out the light towards Hans it changed to... himself... the shadow was him.
In awe Hans reached and took the light, once he did the shadow him vanished. Looking down at the hand he could hear the light, it's voice it sang.
Fate has been cruel and order unkind
How can I have hurt you this away?
The blame was my own, the punishment, yours
Now all is doomed and lost
But into the stillness I bring you a plea
One that you can accept or deny
I beg you for help
Help my daughters who I have caused so much pain
I watched as my daughters unhappiness grow
And yet this horrible mother did nothing to stop
The destruction of the daughters who had needed her most
Fearful and unknown
I never imagined
I'd face the destruction's that I caused
I pray for you
Kind sir
Sweet prince
Open your heart and listen to this plea
A plea from a horrible mother who has done so much wrong
I plea with my heart and soul
Save my daughters
From what I caused
Save their lives
From the evil I brought
Act fast
For they are depending on you
Be brave
For they rely on you
I pray
For this trial you will pass
I pray
For your strength to withstand the pain
I pray
For you to help my daughters in their time of need
I know it is too much to ask
But your my last hope.
Act fast, act swiftly, make your choice for the time is ticking.
Please save my daughters.
From what I their cruel mother wrought unto them
Hans eyes widen as he held the light as he remembered now. Holding his head it all came back. He did die, he did moved on, but this light, this plea... it brought him back...
His reason to hold on, his unfinished business, was not revenged or even Anna, it was this plea. This desperate plea of a mother to save her daughters. Of course he did not know it was Elsa and Anna's mother, but something about it, about a parent asking for help, admitting it's mistake. Wanting to save her daughters and maybe he reunited with them.
It sprung Hans into action, deciding to go back, becoming a draugr, if he could do something right, to help somebody, then he would do it... and maybe... just maybe.. in a way he would finally find somewhere to belong... maybe a family who might take him in so he is not alone anymore...
The light immediately flew away, Hans followed it as it led him on into the darkness
Wind blew pass Elsa as she forced herself through it. It was cold and strong, looking up she saw the dark shadow swirling and forming a scene. It was on top of the glacier, the shadow of herself moving and throwing ice and snow, bellow were the draugr, making their way up to where the shadow her was from opposite sides, two in front distracting her, the other two were coming after her from behind.
"Let her go snow queen!" The shadow form draugrs screamed at her as she shot ice at them, they advanced, the ones that came behind her attacked and pushed her off causing her to fall and scream. The other two shouted as they pointed their weapons, something was shot at her from their weapons, hitting her she screamed and split in two, one being, it was twisted, an idea of a woman, but not quite was sucked back into the glacier. The other was Elsa, she was unconscious as she fell. The draugrs caught and held an unconscious Elsa, gently the one who caught her ran his hand through her hair when all of a sudden the glacier began to shake violently.
Panicked the draugr quickly ran away, getting on boats made out of trees and began to row away with Elsa, pass the sea, as they left the glacier collapsed, crumbling, destroying before Elsas very eyes before nothing else was left as it sunk underwater.
Elsa stared, trying to process what happened. What she saw. Then looking up she saw darkness emerge and concentrate, she watched as it took form, form of Hans, the monster one that had been after her, in the mirror, in the illusion.
Her eyes narrowed into a glare that pierced the twisted form which kept contorting and changing, she knew why. This was a representation of what she hates.
All this time she focused her hate on Hans, her anger at what he did... because it was easier to hate him, to blame him... instead of looking at herself, instead of acknowledging and realizing the truth. No she did not hate him, she hates herself, she did not blame him, she blames herself.
For she was at fault for everything that happened, it was she who caused all this pain, it was she who brought misery and nobody else...
The monster of her story...
The villain of the story...
"It's me" she whispered no sooner than she did the form of Hans began to change and court faster, fading in and out as it changed and became something new.
It was her, a twisted, dark snow version of her, but her nonetheless. It hissed and snarled at her as it slashed its nails.
Glaring Elsa continued forward, the thing hissed and clawed at the air, Elsa ignored the hostile creature and continued to walk forward. It hissed and snarled as it slowly back away, but still tried to intimate Elsa.
It did not work, Elsa was not going to run away, she was done running from the past, she was done ignoring her responsibilities. She is Queen Elsa and she was going to embrace everything about herself, all the good and bad, she knew herself now and would not run. She would learn from the past, she could not go back, but she could move forward, change the future and make things right...
Starting now...
As Elsa walked pass her other self it crumbled and vanished into thin air as if it was never there. But it was there, it was a part of Elsa, a part she knew existed, but will never again she will let it influence her.
Before her another path of light appeared, she hurried up and ran following the light. As she did she saw something, coming from different directions she gasp in delight when she saw it was Hans and Anna.
"Hans! Anna!" called Elsa, noticing her the two ran and when together they hugged and held one another. Happy to have found one another.
Before they could speak screams were heard, looking around they saw they had stumbled upon another vision.
A battle was before them, the forest, it was covered in darkness and creatures of evil. Much to their surprise the army going against them was a group of the tribes people, Arandellians, the southern isles and the Weselton.
They watched the battle as the four worked together, the tribes people much to their shock using magic of nature to bind, the weselton and the southern islanders kill the creatures, the arendellians used their swords and shields to capture and kill the creatures.
They worked as one to defeat the evil before them.
Then the image shift till it formed four soldiers, the four leaders and then devil troll. The tribe leader, Elsa and Anna's grandfather and much to their shock... the Duke Weselton... were fighting against the devil troll.
The group worked together in an effort to defeat the devil troll, so far nothing helped, then when they least expected it. The troll froze, looking back they saw the tribe leader moving its hands and whispering. The devil troll yelled and struggled as he was sucked into the tribe leaders body.
Holding the devil troll the tribe yelled as the devil troll tried to posses him.
"Kill me!" He yelled, the king back away shaking his head "I... I can't... there has to be another way!",
"There is no other way! Kill me! You promised! You promised! No matter what price! We cannot let this monster win! If you do! Then our friend! The king of the southern isles sacrifice of his life to get the truth mirror will all be in vain!" the tribe leader screamed before crying out in pain "Please! I cannot hold this monster in forever!".
The king held out his sword, shaking, he raised it before closing his eyes and yelling "I am sorry!" Before bringing it down, slaying the tribe leader, but at the same time trapping the devil troll in the reflective blade.
Dropping the sword he fell to his knees and scooped up the tribe leader, looking over him as he died.
"We won?" the tribe leader asked weakly, forcing a smile the king nodded and said "Yes, we won, the devil troll will not bother our people anymore", smiling a little the tribe leader whispered "Good..." before letting out a gasp... his last breath... and succumbing to death.
As the tribe leader died his true form was revealed, a human form he had, but his body was made out of tree trunks, as if somebody had literally carved a human body from a tree trunk, his hair vines, he wore moss, leaves and crystals.
Picking up the tribe leaders body the king carried it away with the duke following him.
Silently Hans, Elsa and Anna followed, the shadows shifted and changed, forming a new vision.
In it the duke and the king approached a mirror, they both looked nervous then the king gestured the duke to back away. Which he did.
Holding up the sword he pierced it into the mirror, transferring the devil troll inside, trapping him. As this happened the king held strong then yelled as the devil troll reached and pierced him through his abdomen.
The king screamed and held on, continued till finally the devil troll was transferred, its reflective side turned black.
Injured he collapsed as the duke went to the side of his friend. The king looked sad and said "He is not beat... he can still escape... I don't know why... we destroyed the elements",
"Not all of them" said the duke sadly,
"You must... you must hide the mirror... nobody can find it... nobody can-" he gagged before falling limp. The duke held the king before crying out. He was alone... the solo survivor.
Elsa and Anna looked on sadly, they disliked the duke, but after this, they felt nothing but sorrow and pity for him.
The shadows shifted, changed once more, it was of the duke, throwing the mirror into the ocean... only to be picked up, fishes out many years later by a southern isles ship and brought to the present king..
Then it stopped, turning back to darkness, letting Elsa, Anna and Hans reflect about what happened.
Looking at one another they spoke, taking their time, saying what they saw. When finished they let what they learned sink in then looked at the mirror pieces they had with them.
It was at that moment it all clicked...
"Three pieces" began Anna,
"Three truths" whispered Elsa,
"Three sides of the same story" finished Hans then he looked at the sisters.
"Our mother began this" said Anna,
"Our past kings, the duke, they tried to save everybody" said Hans,
"But we failed everybody... I caused this... If i had not been such a coward and faced my fears this would not have happened" Elsa ended sadly,
"No Elsa it was my fault, if I had shown more self control, if I had stopped and though of my actions instead of just barging through situations without thinking this would not have happened" said Anna sadly,
"No it's mine, if I had just left or confronted my family sooner, nothing would have happened" said Hans,
Elsa then shook her head and sighted "Guess it does not matter anymore" looking up into the darkness "The devil troll, if we do not escape, he will win" looking back with determination she added "We cannot let that happen",
"But how will we escape?" asked Anna,
"We will find a way" said Hans and extended his hands "Together", looking at one another they nodded before taking his and each other's hand before saying "Together".
As soon as their hands touched the mirror pieces began to vibrate a bit. Looking down they flinched as suddenly light began to shine above them, lighting the sky which was once dark in such a strange way, a contrast of dark and light, the light was the sky, the dark made the shapes and the shadows.
Elsa, Anna and Hans huddled closely as they each held one fearing the worst as before them new shadows began to take form, one was a figure with horns on its head and a long cloak, the second was one of a man with blue tattooes decorating its chest, arms and head, the third was of.
"The devil troll" whispered Elsa nervous as the three got closer, if these things were actually there, if they were with the devil troll, then best stick together for the best chance at defense and a fair fight.
Suddenly the figures began to move and speak, they were happy as they did.
The one with the horns in its head said "We did it boys! Our master will be quite pleased with us as we now hold in our hands the most priceless treasures humans possess, the very things that have helped them achieve the impossible",
"Where shall we hide it?" said the tattoo one,
"Me? I shall hide what I stole in a chest, in the deepest part of Tartarus!" Declared the horned one,
"Tartarus? That is ridicules, people will soon be brave enough to face even death itself" said the devil troll with a laugh,
"Not going to happen, people are too cowardly to do such a thing" said The horned one with a laugh,
"True, but you will not defeat me, for you see, I will hide what I stole in a chest and I will hide that chest in the bottom of the ocean!" Declared the tattoo one,
"Bottom of the ocean? Could you have not come up with something more original?" scoffed the devil troll.
"Oh really? What about you!? Bet you cannot come up with something better" growled the tattoo man,
"Actually I have" said the devil troll with a smirk "For I know the perfect hidding spot",
"Oh please do enlighten us mister know it all" growled the horned one.
With a flourish the devil troll declared "I will hide what I stole in a chest... and I shall hide that chest in the one place no mortal or god or any living creature will think to look",
"There is no such place" said the horned one shocked,
"Oh but there is, for someday people will be exploring the worlds, facing their fears, soon there will be no place to look in the world, yet..." he stopped for a dramatic pause, looked and added "There will be one place they will never dare to look, one place they will not even think of looking",
"Which is?",
"Inside of them" said the devil troll "For people will be too scared to face themselves to find what is truly inside of them, in fact they won't even want to know, for to know will break the selfish fantasy and desire they want to keep"
As soon as those words were spoken the vision faded as it did the shadows swirled and shaped, forming a box.
Carefully they approached the box, as they did the mountains words echoed.
"The most powerful force in the world... it is not love for love has become conditional... the most powerful force in the world..." it said over and over as they made their way to the box.
Placing their hands on the chest the three of them though in awe "The most powerful force in the world".
With that together, they pushed open the lid of the chest, as they did a stream of bluish light shot up into the sky, piercing the darkness like an arrow, consuming everything till there was nothing but bright light.
Covering their eyes Hans, Elsa and Anna heard the mountain finally finish "The most powerful force in the world, it's what keeps us strong, it's what we have when all else is lost, it's the very reason why we live, why we fight, why we keep going... the strongest force in the world"
There was no need to hear, for Elsa, Hans and Anna immediately knew.
"The strongest force in the world",
"Is hope" Elsa, Anna and Hans whispered at the same time.
How could they have not realized this sooner?! Hope! It was Anna's hope of being reunited with her sister, it was Elsas hope to be accepted, Hans hope of finding somebody to accept him.
It was hope all along!
Hans, Anna's and Elsas hands grew hot, looking down they saw the mirror, it was glowing, it's surface was red hot.
The trio reacted, Elsa and Anna screaming with pain, Hans jolting back from surprise but did not scream as he did not feel anything.
Despite the heat they forced to held on as something told them that they had to. Then looking at one another they held up the pieces and pressed them together, the glowing and heat grew more and more intense.
Despite the pain and such they forced the pieces back together, fingers burned, their palms sweated and shook as the mirror vibrated with power.
Then with one final push Elsa, Anna and Hans managed time force the pieces back, it fused, flashing before bursting with power as it became something new.
It's reflective mirror thinned out and grew long, turning into a blade, it's handle morphed into a hilt. From a mirror to a sword.
Gone was the truth mirror, in its place was the reflective blade.
Followed by a loud crash.
Darkness swirled and churned through the sky, somehow many what was dark even more darker, people began to succumb to the truth mirrors effects, those who already were the hold got stronger.
Watching from the castle the devil troll smiled, he knew this would happened, after all he had been watching humans since the beginning of time.
Despite all these years humans never changed, they were always selfish, cowardly, self serving creatures, liars too or ignorant. It was laughable, they though that they were special, that they were on the top of the world.
Oh well that's their downfall he though with a smirk as he reveled in his victory.
Then as he turned to leave he stopped when the ground shook, "What?" He though as he looked down then back outside through a window to see a light piercing through the darkness on the ground.
Looking down he saw the light came from the people, inside of their chest a ball of light, it started small but grew brighter and brighter before raising itself away from the body and giving up to the sky, gathering on the thousands, lighting the area before shooting up to the sky, piercing the darkness and lighting the sky.
"Impossible!" Shouted the devil troll as the shadows and darkness burst and exploded in bright light before dispersing to reveal a starry night sky meanwhile the shrouds of the mirrors spell broke freeing the people who shook their heads and looked around confused.
"No!" yelled the devil troll in anger when all of a sudden Elsa and Hans shot up and looked around to find themselves back in the throne room. As they did the devil troll jumped back and yelled "Impossible! How did you break the mirrors curse!? How did you find the box I hid!?"
Before anything else could happen the ground began to violently shake.
Immediately sitting up Anna was wide awake, turning she saw she was literally in the middle of a battle, the shadows fought against the Gjengengar who fought by using chains and slashing the shadows.
"It's about time!" She said when she saw Anna was wide awake "Help me stop this madness!".
Nodding Anna got up to her feet and ran to the vault, reaching it she pressed and moved the runes.
"What are you doing?! Help me!" Gjengengar Yelled.
"I am!" Anna yelled as she pressed the final rune and backed away as the rock mountain vault slowly opened, as soon as she there was a loud crash and the group shook as the cave vault crashed open and broke apart as a giant form came out.
Slowly Anna backed away, the shadows and the Gjengengar stopped their battle to watch as the giant of stone and tree stood well over them.
The Gjengengar was quick to make herself scarce while the shadows watched in horror as the giant raised it foot and brought it down, destroying it.
"Yes!" cheered Anna as the tables have turned in her favor, turning she saw the giant bend down and place its hand on the ground which Anna quickly got on.
With Anna in hand the giant stood back up and began to make its way to the castle while the Gjengengar appeared in its shoulder.
"Let's end this!" Anna declared as she pointed.
