Something in Tomura told him to show up to work early the next day. Dabi begged to bring him to work so he could meet his co workers but he flat out refused that request. Dabi was still a wanted villain and he didn't want Mei losing her license as a support hero. Tomura didn't even want Dabi driving his car. He only let Izuku and Mei.

That thought stabbed him right in the heart.

I'm fucking terrible.

He parked in the parking lot to see Mei's car wasn't there just Izuku's motorcycle. He had to do this. He couldn't run back and forth between them. Izuku wasn't a terrible person. In fact- he deserved a lot better than him. He deserved a man that would love him the way he was. Give him everything he ever wanted.

Tomura couldn't do it.

Couldn't or wouldn't?

He pushed open the shop door to see Izuku rolling up a blue print. Their eyes locked but a smile never appeared on that freckled face. Tomura was beginning to panic inside. He almost felt he wanted to pass out. Killing a crowd of people was easier than this shit. Izuku stared at him with a blank facial expression.

"We... Can we talk?" Tomura asked.

Izuku tore his eyes away from his soon to be ex boyfriend then rolled up another blue print.

"Of course. Anything you want."

"I...I..."

He just couldn't form the words.

"Judging by the look on your face and the way you sound, you met up with Dabi huh?"

Izuku's face didn't show anger or sadness. Just disappointment. It hurt so much.

"I... I..."

"Just nod."

Tomura nodded slowly. Izuku sighed.

"I'm not surprised."

"You... you didn't have that much faith in me?" the words almost died on Tomura's lips.

Anger started to flare up inside of him.

"No. You said you two had unfinished business. You lied to me. Ignored Mei's messages and calls. You left her blaming herself."

The urge to scratch his neck came up. He hadn't felt that in a year or so.

"I didn't mean to do that to her-

"But you did."

He said nothing.

"I have a question for you though."

Tomura stared at him.

"Do you really think he'll make you happy?" Izuku asked.

His eyes searched Tomura's face for answers.

"I don't know."

The green haired man looked mildly surprised.

"You don't know?"

"N-no."

"Hm."

Izuku turned around.

"Did I ever make you happy?" his voice trembled.

"Y-yea. All the time."

Izuku let out a breath.

"Why would you lower yourself to that though?" he asked, demanding an answer.

"I didn't mean too- I was so mad he did it to me-

"I wasn't talking about that," Izuku said firmly, "I mean the fact you would go back to someone like him? It has nothing to do with him being a villain. It has to do with the way he treated you. Belittled you."

"I don't know."

Tomura looked down at the ground. He didn't even see Izuku move. The quirkless man grabbed his wrist and the ex villain tried to jerk back to get away from him but he had a death grip on him.

"Why would you do that to yourself?" Izuku asked softly, "Do you really think you don't deserve anything better? You aren't a terrible person. You murdered hundreds of people but that wasn't you. You were misguided. You were raised one way. But this right here... You knew exactly how you want to be treated but here you are accepting 'love' from someone who hurt you."

Tomura couldn't even speak.

"Would you let All for One come back into your life?"

"Hell no-

"Then why is Dabi any different?"

"I..."

He let go of Tomura's wrist.

Tomura couldn't even answer that.

"If you need someone to talk to... I'll be here for you but I need a little time ok?"

Anger welled up inside of Tomura.

"What the fuck is up with you?! Why aren't you mad?!" he screamed.

Izuku face stayed blank, unmarked by emotion.

"How can I be mad at the person I love?"

Tomura's face fell. His mouth opened slightly but no sound came out.

"What? Does that surprise you?" Izuku asked, "Someone really loves you? Or were you just looking for a way out from me?"

"It wasn't like that-

"Well, I'm going home. I need a nap. Best of luck to you and Dabi. Just... be happy. That's all I want for you. I love you Tomura."

Izuku grabbed his stuff and was gone. He left the ex villain standing there dumbfounded.

Izuku sat on one of the roof tops in the bad part of the city. It had been a while since he had been there. He almost felt at peace being there. He had on his red shoes Mei had designed for him and in his hands he held the gloves he made for Tomura. He wasn't sure why he was there but he didn't want ten million questions fired at him from Mei.

Honestly, he just wanted time to himself. To think. To take in everything that had happened lately. So much shit happened all at once and his head was spinning. Everything from Tomura and Dabi to Katsuki. He clenched his fist thinking of the villain. He knew where he was. Why didn't he just go beat his ass?

Would he feel any better?

"It's been a while."

Izuku jumped in his spot. He looked up to see Stain standing near him.

"H-hi. It sure has."

Stain reached behind his back and held out a bag of cheese crackers. Izuku stared at him.

"You want a snack while we talk?"

The fucking irony.

"Sure. Thank you."

The villain sat down right beside of him.

"You look pretty down compared to the last time I saw you."

Izuku opened the cheese crackers.

"Me and my boyfriend broke up."

"Hm. Love huh?"

Izuku put a cracker in his mouth.

"It was for me."

Stain hummed for a second.

"Who was he?"

He stared at the villain nervously.

"T-Tomura Shigaraki."

Stain arched a an eyebrow.

"You're shitting me."

"N-no."

"Hm."

"Dabi is his ex."

Stain coughed uncomfortably.

"How strange."

"How can you go back to someone who treats you like shit?" Izuku asked.

He wasn't really expecting an answer.

"People like what is familiar to them."

Izuku stared at him.

"People are scared of change."

"I... I guess that's true."

"It's no excuse for what they did though. They will realize the person who was there when they had to heal, for them to run back to the damage that the person was the one they should've trusted all along."

Izuku popped another cracker in his mouth.

"I didn't expect to fall for him like I did."

"Did you think you could fix him?"

Izuku frowned, "I never thought he was really broken. I mean... Who doesn't have flaws?"

Stain smiled.

"What a nice thought."

"I guess."

"People hide things well."

"You want some crackers?" Izuku asked holding out the bag.

"No."

"Ok."

"You would make a great hero."

"I've been told that... a lot recently."

"To be a true hero, is to see the good in everyone. To save those who cannot save themselves and self sacrifice."

Izuku chuckled.

"The best kind of hero."

"Then be that hero. Even for one person."

He put down the crackers as tears welled up in his eyes.

"I can't if he doesn't want to be saved."

"I heard the League of Villains was reforming."

Izuku's head whipped upward to look at him.

"It's... it's that far out you heard?"

"Does that brat want the League or does he want the life he had with you?"

"He doesn't want the League anymore. He changed-

"Then you'll have to save him. To save him is to save innocent people. I will kill him if decides to be a stupid child again. People don't know they need saved until it's too late. You can save him before that happens."

Izuku gave him a nervous smile.

"If you need me, come here."

He nodded, "Of course."

"You look rough. Being a cog in normal civilization draining you?" Dabi asked.

He offered Tomura a smile.

"It wasn't that. I actually enjoy what I do."

"What's wrong then?" Dabi asked taking one of Tomura's gloved hands.

"Nothing."

"Liar. I can see you're upset about something."

"I work with my ex. Though I think my boss separated us for that reason."

Dabi looked mildly surprised.

"A quirkless guy works in a hero shop? How weird."

"It's not weird. In fact, he's smarter than most people."

"Don't worry about him."

Dabi pulled him in for a hug.

God, what the fuck did I do? What did I do?

"What are you thinking about so hard?"

"Why did you cheat on me?" Tomura asked.

The villain's eyes widened.

"O-oh."

Dabi ran a hand through his ebony hair.

"I was unsure how to deal with my... sexuality. I used you and Himiko... And other people to try and fix me. I just learned I was bisexual but I realized the person I missed most of all was you. You made me happy."

"What was it that you missed?" Tomura asked.

"The way you smiled. The way you blushed when I said certain things. The way you look leveling out a building. I missed it all."

Tomura cracked a smile, "I don't do the villain thing anymore."

"I know, I know. For now right?" Dabi said.

Something made Tomura feel uneasy. That wasn't a good...

"Wanna have a late dinner?" the villain asked, changing the subject.

"Sure."

"So... You want me to commit a string of small crimes?" Izuku asked looking at the reports in front of him.

He had decided to take Mei with him and he was glad. Katsuki was asking a lot.

"No, not you personally. Himiko will take your blood and she will do it all. She's going to target the area around Dabi's apartment building."

"Why though?" she asked looking unconvinced.

"Himiko said Dabi hadn't asked Shigaraki yet," the hero stated, "So I feel once he gets an idea Deku is doing shit he shouldn't, he'll back out or at least confront him alone. Then we can snag Dabi without adding Shigaraki to the mix."

"What if that doesn't work and Dabi goes after Izuku instead?" Mei asked, "We live at the same house and you're putting my best friend in danger."

"I'm aware."

The hero scratched his hand.

"If Shigaraki were to mention Izuku's abilities, Deku can infiltrate. Take Dabi down when he has a moment to do so. I wanted to move you to another place, rent free. Deku would stay there by himself."

Mei glared at the blonde man across from her.

"You're using Izuku."

Izuku stared at Katsuki.

"In a way... yea. I had no idea how I could give that asshole the push he needed but after I had time to think about it... I was going to ask Shigaraki to help us but then... Things happened."

"I'm ok with it."

Katsuki's office door flew open just as Mei was about to protest. Himiko entered, almost looking like a high schooler all over again. She had an angry look on her face like she just had a bad day from the moment she woke up. She plopped down in a seat next to Izuku and stared at the red eyed hero before her. The tension in the room was unreal at this point.

"Nice to see you."

Himiko gave him the middle finger.

"Alright bitch, I was trying to be nice."

"Why are we here waiting?" she snapped, "I could knock that bitch out dead already. In fact, I could get Tomura's blood and decay his face off!"

Mei grinned but she did her best to hide it.

"We need more real evidence."

"He's a wanted criminal!" she screamed slamming her fist on his desk.

"You're half right. He helped us get All for One but he disappeared before we could get him. Well, he didn't help as much as Shigaraki but we couldn't arrest him."

"Ugh."

"He said yes."

Himiko looked at Izuku.

"Hold out your arm."

"Can't you go into the next room? Fuck."

She rolled her eyes and stood up. She held out a hand to Izuku and helped him to his feet.

They exited the office and went down the hallway a little. Izuku didn't question her as they were six rooms away from Katsuki's office. Once she closed the door, she locked it. She turned around to stare at him with her yellow eyes watering. He was alarmed by this but before he could say anything, she broke down crying.

"I- I'm sorry! Why are you crying?!" Izuku cried out.

He barely knew her.

"I-I'm so s-sorry for what S-Shiggy did!"

She buried her face in his chest and continued to ugly cry. He hugged her and patted her back.

"It's ok."

Himiko took another minute to calm down before looking up at him.

"How are y-you not upset?"

He looked away.

"I am."

She took his hands.

"We'll get him back, Izuku. I promise."

He turned his head to stare at her, "I don't know if I want that. Even if I love him. He left me for... for him."

"I know. I understand."

She let out a sigh.

"Let me have your arm."

He held it out. She pulled a case out of her back pocket.

"I'll need a few vials. I do need a good bit though so if you need to sit down let me know."

"Are you going to be ok?"

Himiko had a little runny nose going on and her eyes were red.

"Yea. I just have been struggling with this. I felt like both of us finally fit in, ya know? It was hard for me to get in until I met Vlad. I finally felt home. I question whether or not I deserve such a great and patient man but... I can't go back. As much as I want to at times because it was who I was. It's normal. I was surrounded by people who made me feel accepted. We were a family of misfits."

Her eyes started to water again as she placed the rubber band around his arm.

"I miss those days. Maybe not the so much of attacking people but the days we spent together laughing. The days we spent together just watching TV. No one thought I was weird. No one attacked me. It was my family sitting there. When I heard Shiggy got onto a normal job I was happy for him but I was afraid if I showed up too soon, we would fight or relapse into old ways."

She cleaned off his arm.

"I hurt him so much and I never meant too. I would've never hurt him. He was like... an older brother to me. I would've followed him anywhere. I missed him so much! Vlad understood me and told me I could talk to him if I wanted but I had held off. I think it was my fault... I told him the things Dabi had told me and I think wanted more answers. More answers to the whys he had..."

Himiko pulled out a a needle and hooked up a large vial.

"I don't blame you."

She looked at him with a smile and tears staining her cheeks.

"Thank you," she whispered.

She felt for a vein and slid the needle in his arm without inflicting any pain.

"I guess I would've fit in with you guys after all."

Himiko looked at him curiously.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm quirkless."

"Really? Bakugou didn't tell me that."

"I am."

"He talks so highly of you and how powerful you are."

"It's because I am."

"Have you been in a real fight?"

Izuku blushed.

"A few times actually. Don't tell them that though."

She giggled.

"I won't."

She popped out the vial and replaced it with another empty one.

"Could you stand face to face with Dabi?" she asked.

"I know everything about him already. I study and analyze villains for a hobby. I used to do heroes too."

"I suppose you would have a chance."

"Since, I'm quirkless... Do you need items to aid you in your mission?"

She smiled and shook her head.

"I am close to being quirkless myself. Instantly having to learn new quirks isn't easy. Don't worry about me."

"Alright."

After a minute, she popped in another empty vial.

"When everything is fixed, maybe we can double date?" she offered with a soft smile.

"Maybe."

Izuku smiled.

I still need time to think.
