After Richards was done injecting the serum into me he walked over to lucario who was struggling against the straps barring his teeth and snarling "now now lucario is that any way to treat someone who is just trying to help you reach beyond your species full potential?"
Lucario only snarled and barked as Richards filled up another syringe filled with a black and blue liquid and prepared to inject it into lucario " You bastard stay away from him I'm the one you want to experiment on! or are you so old and senile that you already forgot?"
"Oh Andrew you really think petty insults are going to stop what is about to happen?" I glared at him with eyes still burning "and what is about to happen what the hell are you going to do to my pokemon?!?" Richards smiled and spoke
" oh I'm glad you asked .as you may or may not know there are certain species of pokemon that can evolve past there final form this is referred to as mega evolution. lucario is one of a handful of species that can mega evolve and I am going to make your lucario my favorite test subject undergo an artificial and permanent mega evolution!"
With that explanation done he put the syringe into the iv and pushed down the plunger I watched helplessly as the liquid made its way down the tube and into lucario as it did I saw lucarios muscles tense up violently as he let out a howl of pain. After a few seconds of lucario howling in pain he stopped and passed out.
Richards pulled out a tape recorder from his pocket "human trial H-01 has been a success forced evolution test 21 has failed again subject has passed out will try again tomorrow " he clicked a button and put the recorder away "You...you bastard I swear to God whenever I get out of here I'm going free my lucario and jolteon then I'm going to beat you to death with my fucking hands !" Richards walked over and looked me in the eyes "my my what fowl language theres no need for that besides you'd only have to free your lucario because well you're jolteon Is no longer with us."
At those words it felt like my heart had shattered into a trillion peaces " oh why so sad don't worry we didn't kill it well at least not directly anyway it was weak probably from lack of food the men "forgot" to feed it so we threw it into the wild if it doesn't die from starvation well let's just say the wild pokemon will have an electrifying meal" With that he started laughing and left lucario and I alone.
