Dragon Ball Z: Alternate Love

Chapter 20: Planet Namek

It had been twenty more days before Planet Namek sat before the group.

During the trip, they had gotten sidetracked by a planet with two aliens trying to fool them into thinking they were on Planet Namek, that they were Namekians, and that they had Dragon Balls.

It had taken about a day or two at most to get through that, and back to the trip to real Namek.

And now, it stood before them, or rather, floated before them.

Everyone on the ship was grinning happily as they had finally found their destination.

Bulma, "alright everyone. Into your seats", she zipped up her flight suit as she said, "we're going down to Planet Namek!"

And so, everyone strapped in as the ship started descending to the planet's surface.

Within a minute, they could see all around them, the environment of the planet. Green skies and water, with blue grass and trees. It almost looked like an inverse version of Earth's countryside.

A minute after they landed, the group of six all walked off of the door, and stood together. Krillin, (who still wore the hat he brought), Gohan, Chi Chi, Chi Cha and Yamcha all wore their fighting gi, while Bulma was kneeling on the ground, opening the suitcase she brought.

As the others all started looking around, Gohan looked to his mother and asked, "mom, what're you doing?"

Bulma, "well, we have no idea what we're gonna run into here, and I don't wanna be helpless like with that space station and that fake Namek. So, I've been working on this little number.

Bulma pulled out a triangular device and stuck it to her chest.

(Think the suit Tony uses in Infinity War, in terms of how Bulma puts it on).

She had built the device and flight suit to magnetize to one another.

Bulma, "watch this."

Bulma pressed the center light of the device, and suddenly, an armored suit began building itself around her. Within a few seconds, she had on her new suit of armor.

It looked like the suit Samus Aran wore, but with dark blue arms and legs with orange boots and forearms. The arm cannon was able to retract within the right arm of the suit, and the a light blue, with the helmet and torso being orange. The suit seemed to have the color scheme of Goku's fighting gi.

Bulma's voice came out sounding robotic, "I wanted to be able to protect myself, while you guys would take on the more dangerous people. It's so you won't have to worry about me too much on this trip."

Yamcha, "that's actually a really good idea."

Chi Chi, "alright, let's get on with our search. Bulma, do you have a Dragon Radar?"

Bulma, "yeah. I brought the regular one, and built one into my suit!"

Bulma reached into her bag on the ground and tossed the radar to Krillin.

Krillin activated it, and saw that there was already one a few miles away.

Krillin, "alright, we've got a Dragon Ball on the radar! We'll have our friends back in no time at all!"

But as Krillin looked at his friends, they all suddenly had fearful expressions on their faces as they seemed to be looking up.

Krillin, "uh, what's got everyone so scared?"

They all pointed into the sky faster than you can say the real name for Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon. Krillin looked to where they were pointing, and his expression immediately matched theirs.

Krillin, "n-no way!"

In the sky was Vegeta's pod! And following behind it was Cui's pod.

Chi Chi, "i-it's gotta be a coincidence, right?!"

Yamcha, "I don't think so babe!"

Gohan, "it's Vegeta. And there's another pod too!"

Bulma, "you mean that guy that beat Goku to a pulp?!"

Chi Cha, "yeah! And if he's got someone with him, that could mean even more trouble!"

Krillin, "we're all gonna die! Aaaaggghhhhh-"

Slap!

Everyone was surprised when Gohan slapped Krillin, "get a hold of yourself Krillin! He doesn't know we're here, or that we have a way to find the Dragon Balls. We just gotta stay one step ahead."

Krillin, "y-yeah. You're right. I need to calm down."

Bulma, "good. Let's, uh, find a place for us to set up camp, all safe and sound. Yamcha, Chi Chi, can you guard the supplies while I try calling home to tell everyone we've made it?"

Yamcha, "s-sure thing."

Chi Chi, "yeah. No problem."

Krillin, Gohan and Chi Cha were looking at the radar as all this occurred.

Gohan, "alright, so there's one a few miles from here. And, wait a minute…."

Chi Cha, "what is it?"

Gohan, "there seems to be four Dragon Balls already together…."

Krillin, "that must mean someone's gathering the Dragon Ball's!"

Chi Cha, "but who could that be?"

….

Meanwhile

In the ruins of a Namekian village, bodies scattered the place as smoke billowed in the air.

Out of a house came a rotund man with pink skin covered in spikes, carrying two Dragon Balls that were the size of a basketball! It was the three star ball, and the sixth star ball.

He spoke in a gruff voice, "we've found the next ball Lord Frieza."

The man known as Frieza looked very peculiar. He had pale white skin with purple Saiyan armor. He also had what looked to be a purple shell on his head with two small black horns. His face was white, with dark red lipstick, and the sides of his face and his arms were a light pink color. He was sitting in some form of floating throne.

Several other strange aliens were standing around in the same getup.

Next to Frieza was a man with light green skin and dark green hair, holding two more Dragon Balls. The two star ball, and the five star ball. This man was named Zarbon.

Frieza spoke to the man before him, "very good Dedoria. How many does this make now?"

Dedoria, the spiked man, "four. Only three balls remain."

Frieza, "very good. Things are going according to plan."

He started snickering at this turn of events.

….

At roughly the same time, Vegeta had landed on Namek, looking around the area around him.

He knew it would take him awhile, but he needed to find those balls fast!

But, he hit a roadblock.

In the form of Cui's pod smashing into the ground about thirty feet away. The purple alien hopped out of the pod, grinning evilly at his rival. Vegeta stood his ground as Cui floated over until he was about fifteen away

Cui, "well, well, well, Vegeta. Fancy meeting you here?"

Vegeta, "you don't think I came here for a friendly chat, do you?"

Cui, "oh please, don't try and trash talk me. We were the exact same power level when we last fought."

Vegeta, "right you are. But that was before I went to Earth."

Cui, "what's that gotta do with anything?"

Vegeta, "well, I took quite the beating on that planet. And we Saiyans get stronger when we're brought to the brink of death itself. So, allow me to show you how powerful I've gotten…."

Vegeta started powering up, faster and faster as Cui's scouter started going ape-shit!

Cui, "w-what the?! Eighteen thousand? No, twenty- twenty two thousand!?"

His scouter suddenly exploded and left a small scorch mark on Cui's cheek.

Cui, "h-how?! How are you this strong? No amount of damage could have made you this strong!"

Vegeta took a step forward, "wanna test that theory?"

Cui, "w-wait a minute Vegeta! I've been thinking, maybe we could team up?! Take down Frieza ourselves?!"

Vegeta, "oh, give it a rest Cui. You're not the first person to try that stunt, and you certainly won't be the last!"

Cui, "c-come on! I'm being serious!"

Silence reigned for a solid six seconds before Cui suddenly looked behind Vegeta and said, "gasp, my Lord! Finally!"

Vegeta looked behind himself, "what?!"

Nothing was there though!

Suddenly, Cui powered up an attack, "made ya look!"

He threw the vibrant purple orb at Vegeta, and upon impact, dust surrounded the Prince of Saiyans.

Cui started smirking in relief, only for it to disappear as the smoke dissipated to show Vegeta snickering.

Vegeta, "seriously, that's the best you have? Well…. How about this for a demonstration."

Vegeta powered up his own vibrant red attack, and as Cui tried to turn tail and fly away, he was struck by the attack, enveloping him from behind and turning the alien man to dust.

Vegeta only smirked at the death of his former rival.

….

Back with Frieza and his men, Zarbon's scouter suddenly started going out of control and exploded, leaving a small scorch mark on the man's face.

Frieza took notice, "what happened Zarbon?"

Zarbon, "this thing must've been on the fritz. It showed two power levels around the same as Vegeta and Cui. But, one of them grew exponentially, and destroyed the other."

Dedoria, "you think it was Vegeta who killed Cui?"

Zarbon, "maybe. What shall we do Lord Frieza?'

Frieza, "it is of no concern right now. If Vegeta is here and becomes a nuisance, we'll deal with it. For now, activate your scouter Dedoria. Find us the next village."

Dedoria, "yessir."

Dedoria started messing with his scouter, and picked up about a dozen lifeforms a few miles away. The same place the Dragon Radar caught a signal for the next Dragon Ball!

Dedoria pointed to his left and said, "that way. About a dozen more of these Namekian's must live there. We find them, we find another Dragon Ball."

Frieza, "good, then I'll have five. Now then, let's shove off!"

….

Meanwhile, at the same time.

Bulma had just put the ship into Capsule Form, (she had managed to configure the ship to be able to do this), and everyone had walked to a cave in order to set up a new camp.

Everyone held a backpack on their backs, each filled with supplies.

Just as they had gotten to a deep but empty, all of the fighters suddenly picked up several powerful beings headed near them! Bulma's suit was able to pick up a signal as well!

Krillin, "everyone hide in the cave!"

And so, everyone followed Krillin's instructions, and felt several beings fly right past them like bullets!

As soon as they were gone, everyone let out a deep breath.

Gohan, "did you feel those guys' power levels?! They were insane!"

Chi Cha, "especially that lead guy. He felt like five Vegeta's!"

Krillin, "waitaminute! Did you guys see what direction they're headed!?"

Bulma, "... The Dragon Ball!"

Chi Cha, "oh Kami, that's the reason we saw four balls together on the radar! They're collecting them!"

Yamcha, "and whoever's got the next Ball is gonna be in danger!"

Gohan, "we've gotta help them!"

Bulma, "are you all nuts!? We can't take these guys on!"

Chi Chi, "she's right. But, we can't leave their people alone either!"

Krillin, "we'll split up. Chi Chi, you, Yamcha and Bulma stay here. Me, Gohan and Chi Cha will go on ahead and see if we can help. We'll keep our energy low, okay?"

Yamcha, "good idea."

Chi Chi, "ngh, fine! But next time, at least ONE of the kids will stay behind with Bulma and either me or Yamcha."

Krillin, "agreed. C'mon you two!"

Gohan, "right!"

Chi Cha, "you got it Mr. Krillin!"

And so, the four shorter members of the group went to the rescue of whoever held the Dragon Ball!

….

Several minutes later

Krillin, Gohan and Chi Cha were crawling to the edge if a particularly high plateau, peeking to see what was going on.

They saw Frieza and his men standing there, grinning evilly at the only three survivors of the attack they had just finished.

An older looking Namekian in a red vest with no shirt and pale white pants, with two smaller Namekian children gripping his legs tightly. One had a deep red vest over a white shirt that hung over brown pants, while the other had a redish purple vest over his white shirt that hung over his brown pants.

As the group of three caught sight of this, Chi Cha felt something as she looked at the 2nd Namekian child that stood there. Something about him just seemed very familiar to her, despite the fact they had never met. As she thought this, Krillin spoke quietly.

Krillin, "these guys are dressed like Saiyans, but they don't look anything like Goku or Raditz."

Gohan, "these must be the guys Vegeta works for."

Krillin, "and that guy with the horns must be in charge. Jeez, he looks like a real fa-"

Chi Cha, "Krillin!"

Krillin, "what? A freaky alien genotype. What did you think I meant?"

Gohan, "oh! We thought you meant the slur for a homosexual male."

Krillin, "Christ no! I didn't even know that they were a guy."

Down below, Frieza said, "you must be the leader of this fine, burning village. My name is Lord Frieza. I have come to your planet in order to find what you call, Dragon Balls."

The older Namekian said, "did you try working the shaft?"

Frieza, "... classy. Look, if you don't give me the answers I want, the little ones will have to suffer."

The elder, "no! Please, I'll tell you anything!"

Frieza, "good. First, your Dragon Ball…."

Before anyone could make a move, Frieza and the scouter all of his men wore bleeped to life, and they all turned their heads to where the signal was coming from. Krillin, Gohan and Chi Cha also looked, and in a matter of seconds, three Namekian warriors stood there, ready to fight. One in yellow, one in blue, and one in orange, (sorry if I got the colors wrong).

Frieza, "oh look, more baby seals to club."

The lead Namekian, "your reign of terror is at an end!"

Frieza, "oh really?"

The 2nd Namekian, "yeah. If you value your lives, you'll leave Planet Namek before we hurt you."

Frieza, "... Zarbon, what does the scouter say about their power levels?"

Carbon pressed a button and as the numbers flashed by, he said, "one thousand and four, one thousand three hundred and fifty seven, and one thousand and sixty."

Frieza, "hmm. Then men, have a go at them!"

All of Frieza's men ran at the three Namekians, but none of them realized what they were in for!

The three Namakians power levels grew exponentially, around six thousand each, and began downing Frieza's men, left and right. Some received simple kicks and punches that knocked them out, or even killed them, while others received blasts of energy to the chests, heads, etc, killing them instantly.

Frieza, Zarbon and Dedoria looked on in interest at all of their henchmen they had brought from the ship being slaughtered. Thank goodness it was only a small number of them.

As the three Namekians stood victorious, the leader asked, "how's that for a demonstration?"

Frieza simply smirked and said, "Dedoria, if you would?"

Dedoria smirked as he put the two Dragon Balls down, and cracked his neck and knuckles, "with pleasure."

Dedoria lunged forward, and punched the first Namekian in the head, knocking it clean off!"

The other Namekians and the Earthlings nearby all gasped in horror. The next Namekian warrior was jabbed through the chest by Dedoria's pointed hand. And the final one was blasted through the chest by Dedoria.

All three warriors were now dead on the floor.

Dedoria gave a shit eating grin as he walked back over to Frieza and Zarbon, and picked his two Dragon Balls up.

Frieza, "now, how about that Dragon Ball?"

The elder halted daggers at the tyrant. He whispered to the two younger Namekians, "children. Listen to me. After I give them the Dragon Ball, I will distract them, while you two run. Understand?"

The two young Namekians gave shaky nods at the elder's words.

He went inside the hut and brought out the Dragon Ball. The four star ball.

As he slowly walked over to Frieza and his two minions. Just as Frieza held out his own hands to grab the ball, the Elder threw it down and yelled, "now!"

The Elder tried to strike at Frieza, but was met with a punch to the face from Zarbon, and swiftly had his neck broken by Dedoria!

The two Namekian children cried in anguish as they ran.

Frieza, "Dedoria, kill the little ones, won't you?"

Krillin noticed Gohan had a look of seething rage.

Krillin, "Gohan, don't!"

Dedoria quickly blasted the Namekian boy in deep red, leaving the other one standing in fear!

Just as Dedoria lifted his hand to blow the other Namekian away, Gohan and Chi Cha both lunged forward with all of their speed and kicked Dedoria hard into a nearby hut. Frieza and Zarbon were so confused by the sight, they didn't even notice Krillin fly down, grab the Namekian and all four of them flew off like bullets until Dedoria climbed out of the hut asking, "did I get hit by a bowl cut and a ponytail?"

Frieza, "I don't know. Why don't you go find out and meet us back at the ship?"

Dedoria, "yessir!"

And so, Dedoria blasted off after the small group as Frieza lifted a finger, lifting the three Dragon Balls from the floor to the air, and he and Zarbon sped off in another direction.

Poll results so far: Ben 10 and Bruce Timm's DCAU are tied at 3 votes each, 2 votes for the Marvel Universe, and 1 vote for Star Wars. Again, Ben 10 is at the top of my list on what I hope wins, but I wanna give the other options a fair shot. This poll will be up until it gets, say, 30 votes maybe? Or 40? A lot, basically.

Note, I went back to the last chapter and fixed a few minor problems. Namely, saying the name of Planet Frieza 79, and changing the name Quee to how it's spelled in canon, Cui.

Also, I kept Kami's ship intact, and put into Capsule form, but the reason they don't try to leave Namek is because there are so many dangers now that would be aware of a ship leaving, rather than arriving.

And one final question. If I were to find a way to bring back Goku and Raditz' mom, Gine, (not from the dead, but that she survived and has been held captive by a certain someone on Frieza's ship), what would you all think of that idea? If you like it, I'll consider acting on it. If not, we'll see what happens. I know I said I wasn't gonna bring back Goku's parents or any of the other Saiayns since they were dead for too long to be wished back, but this idea stuck with me, so I wanna ask you guys what ya think?
