"And you brought this memory of the Yule because?" Marvolo questioned to Barty who licked his lips, running a hand through his hair. They were a few hours away from being revealed, but Barty wanted their Lord to know Potter's business.

"I thought it would be beneficial for you to know of the boys..." Marvolo cruico'ed him to silence. This was all just a waste of time. "I see. Thank you for the thought, Barty. But considering all goes well tonight, I have no interest in the boy. Go, before Dumbledork catches on."

Prince's POV

Prince found his way through the common room, to where Hannah and Susan were sitting quietly, talking to each other. He sighed internally, he wasn't sure how this was going to go. Prince hadn't realised how long it had actually been since he had spoken to the two of his best friends. But anything could happen in the task that was just a few hours away. He didn't want to be on bad terms with them, let alone not on speaking terms. He sat down opposite them in the armchair next to the fire and the pair looked up in surprise. Prince smiled sadly and Hannah raised an eyebrow.

"Can we help you?" She questioned, a little too coldly for Prince's liking. Prince shook his head. "I'm not here for your help," He spoke softly. It was Susan who decided to speak next.

"Then go,"

Ouch. That stung. More than it should. He thought. I deserved that. He sighed deeply.

"I deserved that one, Su. Look, I know I haven't exactly been the best of friend -" Prince didn't get a chance to finish as Hannah had interrupted with a glare.

"Oh? Finally realised that have you? Well it's a bit too late. Su said to go, so go." Hannah said and Prince was conflicted. He looked round to see Will and Megan talking not too far from them, but he guessed they were listening in to the conversation. Luce he didn't know where she was, but he would find her later. Maybe Blaise was right. He had left it too late for those two. I thought they were better than that.

"I'll go. But I'm still your best friend. I just, wanted you to know you both mean a lot to me, even if I haven't shown it recently. Anything could happen in the task, I just... wanted you to have an apology from me. I'll go," Prince said with a depressed look in his eyes as he got up to leave.

"Wait, Prince. What do you mean anything could happen?" Hannah asked and Prince smiled a little, knowing that that meant they both still cared as he saw the look of concern in their faces. He looked back, saying only one word that they needed to hear. "Voldemort."

"That looks nasty, Evans. Thanks for the save," Ced spoke as they just fought off a spider. Prince groaned as Cedric helped Prince to stand. They were close to the cup now, both of then could feel it. But to loose Fleur and Krum on the way, it was suddenly starting to feel very, very real. Neither of them wanted to admit that they were scared. Prince managed to stand by himself and grinned towards Ced, the strange moment had passed. The grin turned into a smirk as they didn't need to say anything to each other, both running in the direction of the cup as the hedge behind them closed. Before they knew it, they found the cup, shining a blue light in the middle of the horrid maze.

"Rock, paper scissors?" Prince asked jokingly as they caught their breath back. Cedric chuckled lightly.

"We could do it that way. But I think you should take it Evans. You saved me twice in this maze. And if you hadn't told me about the dragons..." Cedric trailed off and Prince patted Ced on the shoulder. His face turned very serious.

"Hey, we both are Hogwarts champions. This will be a Hogwarts win. I would say we both take it, but I've been warned Voldemort has something to do with this tournament. The way Krum acted, he wasn't himself," Prince took a breather and Ced looked to be in deep thought. "I have this invisibility cloak, Ced. We both take the cup but you hide under it, just in case? Please, you're like a brother to me -" Prince was babbling but Cedric hugged him tightly before Prince said anymore, nodding as he did so.

"Okay, okay Prince. I trust you. Let's do it, brother," Cedric spoke with a cheeky grin and Prince breathed a sigh of relief. He took the cloak from the hiding place and wrapped it around Cedric. Then, he nodded to his brother in all but blood.

"3,"

"2,"

"1!"

They were in a graveyard, the cup had flown off to the other side of the ground somewhere and Prince turned towards Cedric with a look that said 'Be quiet or else'. He made it so he was looking around the graveyard, walking slowly, moving towards a clearing.

"Harry Potter..." He heard and Prince rolled his eyes, the familiar voice of Lord Voldemort strangely didn't scare him.

"I thought I told you it was Prince, Voldemort?" Prince questioned loudly earning a laugh from the Dark Lord. "And I am now Marvolo Slytherin. Now introductions are out of the way... Let's see which of my followers are too scared to see me?" Voldemort asked rhetorically and Prince's eyes widened, surprised he hadn't even been tied up or something. Actually, he was more surprised that Voldemort seemed quite sane.

He watched as Voldemort used his own tattooed mark, hissing in pain as he called his Death Eaters. Immediately, a handful stood in a circle, though it wasn't as many as he was expecting. Prince was hopping Cedric would use this as a distraction to get back to the tournament. In fact, while Voldemort was talking, Prince turned to face Ced who was just behind him, eyeing the trophy with questioning eyes.

'Go, I'll be fine. Trust me!' Prince mouthed and Ced seemed to be hesitant but after a nod and a push, Cedric was defeated. Prince watched as Ced silently cast 'Accio Trophy' and vanished, Prince sighed in relief. Happy that Cedric hadn't been harmed. If I hadn't brought my Invisibility cloak... Voldemort might have... Prince closed his eyes, not wanting to think of the 'what ifs'. His focus turned back to Voldemort and he relaxed, knowing that he could be his Slytherin self without anyone judging him. Prince walked closer to the scene, out of curiosity more than anything.

"And none of you thought to look for me two years ago, even though it was clear I was back. Perhaps I should have chosen more loyal followers, what do you think Nagini?" Voldemort questioned with a sadistic smile.

"I want dinner. I'm hungry." Was all Nagini said and Prince had to stop himself from laughing at that. He frowned when he saw the late arrival of Peter Petigrew and Lucius Malfoy, who seemed to be clutching onto Petigrew. Prince glared, without thinking, he spoke in Parseltongue.

"Look, Nagini. There's your dinner. Enjoy!" Prince said with a smirk and Voldemort turned to face Potter with raised eyebrows.

"Don't you like Malfoy?" Voldemort asked and Prince shrugged. "Rather him than me. Although my sister may not be very happy if you hurt Draco's father." He said conversationally.

"Sister... Ah. The youngest of the King's. I was told of their relationship. Odd paring don't you think. I suppose Nagini can snack on Petigrew, though. Go ahead, Nagini, have some dinner." Voldemort ordered and Prince actually smiled when he saw Petigrew in pain.

He didn't know if Cedric would bring back up, or whether Ced expected him to get back by himself, which he could do more than easily. Prince just wanted to see what Voldemorts plans were. If he could help the light if he wanted... Though, after this. He was definitely neutral. He definitely wasn't the hero for the light, but neither was he with the dark. It reminded him of his time in Narnia.

Flashback

He was told of the prophecy. The fake prophecy and the actual prophecy. But that didn't matter to him. He was only six, he had plenty of time to decide what side to be on. But... Harry thought he would be neutral. He didn't like how Dumbledore just placed him on the doorstep and didn't fight for his Godfather's freedom. But Voldemort killed his parents. Nothing could ever make that better.

"What are you going to do?" young Lucy asked, climbing onto the camp bed with Harry, who sighed, giving her a one armed hug.

"That's for old me to decide, Lucy. Because right now, I honestly don't know. And until I meet both Dumbledore and Voldemort, I can't make that decision..."

End of flashback

"Potter, I am trying to talk to you. Were you listening to any word I just said?" Voldemort asked and Prince blinked a few times, noticing his followers had gone once more and that it was just him and the Dark Lord. Prince ran a hand through his hair, shrugging sheepishly.

"Sorry, no I wasn't," He said honestly and Voldemort raised his eyebrows, as if he was surprised someone dared not listen to the Dark Lord himself.

"You know, Potter. I think there's more to you than anyone else knows. That's why I am not going to be your enemy." Prince's eyes widened with shock. He was not expecting that. Prince thought the whole reason that Voldemort entered him into this tournament was to kill him... But...

"You weren't going to kill me, you were testing me... seeing how I'd fight in the tournament, this was just -"

"Just a way to get to know an frienemy," Voldemort said with a smile. For once, Prince was speechless. He didn't even know what to think. After all these years, Voldemort was very much sane and perhaps, not even an enemy to him. Though Prince wouldn't trust the Dark Lord, who would? He wouldn't mind not having to worry about Voldemort harming him or his family and friends.

"Don't think I'll join you, Voldemort. After this tournament, I'm neutral. I'm no hero for the light," Prince spoke clearly and Voldemort did not look very surprised at his announcement. "Why don't you look surprised by this?" Prince questioned after a moment of silence.

"Because, Prince. I've been where you are. An orphan, having to go back to the place I hated most every year because Dumbledork didn't listen. I suppose you've been through the same thing." Voldemort said, adding after, "Call me Marvolo Slytherin. I am not as insane as I once were. That name reminds me of that,"

Prince, for the first time, looked Vol... Marvolo in the eyes.

"The Dursleys. Muggle family. I ran away from them when I was six. When I was twelve, at the end of the second year, Dumbledork was going to send me back. I refused and went to the Orphanage with the King's. There were Vampires. To this day I still don't know if Dumbledork knew that, but we got out of there as soon as we could."

Prince saw anger in Marvolo's eyes. He smiled slightly. Finally, someone actually understood. Even if it was the Dark Lord to do so.

"I'll be planning on some revenge this summer. Watch out. Oh and if it comes to it, how will we decide which of us will kill the old man?" Voldemort asked and Prince laughed lightly.

"I have an idea. If he tells me you're back and evil, going to kill me and that I need to fight for the light, I get to kill him. If he doesn't warn me about you at all, even after tonight. You get to kill him, deal?"

Marvolo smirked. "Deal. Will you be able to come up with a story of how you survived, don't think I don't know about the other boy escaping here. I saw the trophy move." Prince swore inwardly but grinned.

"Careful. People might think you've gone soft. Letting a boy go, not killing the great Prince Potter?" Prince teased dangerously and Marvolo smiled innocently.

"What makes you think I won't kill you? And Prince, just to make things more realistic... Crucio!"

OoO

Cedric paced back and fourth as the crowd was silent, Fleur and Krum were back to their normal selves as they waited for the last champion to return. Ced didn't know what to think. Voldemort was there. Prince's concerns were more than just concerns. If he didnt have the invisibility cloak, he wasn't sure what would have happened.

Dumbledork and Snape seemed to be dealing with Professor Moody, as they finally figured out who had been stealing from Snape's cupboard. Which also happened to be more important than finding Prince.

Ced wasn't surprised to see Peter, Susan, Luce, Ed, Hannah, Susan, Theo, Daphne and Blaise run towards him and he gave the group a sad smile.

"I'm sorry Pete. He told me to go, he said to trust him. I don't know what's taking him so long to get back to us,"

Peter sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration. Of course, Cedric would trust Prince. And Peter knew, Prince would be fine. But he couldn't help but worry. The crowd were getting restless. Though, he was surprised to see Fleur and Krum walk towards the group, both deeply concerned.

"'here is zee boy?" Fleur questioned and Cedric shrugged helplessly.

"The Cup took us to a graveyard, it was a Portkey. You know who was there," Cedric ranted and Krums eyes widened.

"Then he is not safe. Vwere are the teachers?" Krum asked and Cedric glared, pissed off.

"More concerned about the Defense teacher than Prince's safety." Cedric responded and Krum frowned, but before anyone else could say anything, they heard a loud pop and a groan of pain. The group turned around to see a very pale Prince Potter, crouched into a ball with his wand in his hand, shivering.

Peter and Blaise ran over first, helping Prince up as they wrapped Prince's armed around their shoulders, helping him walk.

"Prince, what happened? You look like shit!" Blaise questioned and Peter said after, "What he said?" Prince chuckled a little before coughing from the pain. He searched for Cedric and sighed in relief to see that he was indeed, alright.

"Voldemort. Or as he likes to call himself now, Marvolo Slytherin." Prince spoke, his voice hoarse, clearly in pain.

"You need to go to the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey will help you," Lucy spoke in concern and Prince smiled slightly.

"Aw, you don't need to worry about me. I'm fine," Prince was surprised that Dumbledork was no where to be seen, the Professor's seemed to be dealing with more important things than Voldemort coming back, apparently. Maybe he'd have to let Marvolo kill Dumbledork, if it continued like this. But that would be no fun.

As they reached the hospital wing, it was just Blaise and Peter. The group had stayed behind, not sure whether they could go with the trio to the hospital wing or not. He didn't think too much about that though, the pain was becoming too much.

"Madam Pomfrey!" Peter shouted and Prince sighed in relief at the sight of a very concerned Madam Pomfrey.

"What on Earth... Place him on the bed boys. Potter, what did you get yourself into this time? Here take this," She ordered, not that Prince had any choice.

OoO

"Prince, you have done well." Prince heard and he would recognise that voice anywhere. Aslan.

"Where have you been? I have?" Prince questioned, confused more than anything else.

"Yes, you have. Even though you've been an idiot sometimes. But, sooner than you think you'll be in Narnia once more, fighting an important battle. Remember who you are, remember why you're Prince of Narnia."

A/N -The end of year 4. It's been a long journey, but we're finally onto year 5. With me so far? No? Good.
