Greetings from the beach! Well, actually, by the time I'm done with this chapter I will be back home. Thank you so much for 200 reviews! So...because this story hit 200 reviews...this chapter will be 2,000 words! Yeah...not very exciting but it will be the longest chapter I've done yet. So...enjoy! Also sorry this is so incredibly late.
TunderNad: ...username...TunderNad24...confused…*ahem* what? Oh yeah, there's a new story in that trilogy. It's called Fear. So far, it's really good.
INeedADamSnack: Thanks!
PBNJ: Is it weird that as soon as I read 'The suspense is killing me' I got a warm fuzzy feeling inside?
TunderNad24: Thank you :) I've always wanted to be the Queen of Cliffhangers...but I think I'm more of a Princess of Cliffhangers. Rick's the King. *ahem* Mark of Athena *ahem*. Also yeah...as if 2020 wasn't already sad enough...and it's kind of sad to think that there will probably not be any more Black Panther movies...
PlipplopPlipplop: Good! I wish I had some licorice…
Unity
Will's POV
"We need to talk," Will said. The demigods and magicians were gathered in a surprisingly large closet. "We've been avoiding each other for weeks. We barely talk anymore. We all have our own theories and ideas and yet we won't even look at each other. If we want to find out where Leo and the others were taken, we need to work together. That's what being a demigod is about. Unity. Friendship. Protecting and caring for each other even when things get tough. I thought you all knew that, but apparently, I was wrong. So, we are going to stay in this closet until we can talk to each other and act like civilized people."
"I agree," Jason said. "I was talking to Magnus a few weeks ago and it made me realize how little we know about each other. I've only talked to a few of the Egyptian Magicians a little in the month and a half we've known each other and the only Norse demigod or valkyrie I've talked to was Magnus."
"Great," Will said. "Then let's start with introductions."
"Right then," One of the Egyptians said. "I'm Sadie, I've hosted Isis, goddess of magic, and this is my brother Carter, sorry in advance for how annoying he is."
The guy next to Sadie, Carter, Will assumed, waved.
"I'm Carter," Carter said. "I've hosted Horus, and um...should we tell you guys about the time we saved the world?"
"Sure," One of the Norse demigods said. "We've got time. Probably."
"Alex!" Another one of the Norse demigods said.
"So uh...before we do that," Carter said. "We should introduce you to Zia and Walt."
"I'm Zia," A girl behind Carter said, stepping up. "I've hosted both Nephthys and Ra, I'm a fire Elementalist, and I'm Carter's girlfriend."
"Hey man, welcome to the scary girlfriend club!" Percy said to Carter. Annabeth glared at him.
"And this is Walt-or should I say Anubis?" Carter continued. "It's a long story. Anyway…"
Carter proceeded to tell them how he and his sister had learned how the Egyptian gods were real and how they had saved the world multiple times. As they talked, Will noticed how much more relaxed everyone was. No one was looking behind their backs, checking to make sure they had a weapon on them, or making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be.
Even Nico looked calmer then he had in weeks.
For now, at least, they were safe.
The calm before the storm.
Annabeth's POV
As the rest of the demigods talked strategy, Annabeth had to keep reminding herself to keep talking. Normally, she loved voicing her ideas. But now, she was mainly trying to distract everyone and keep them unsuspicious of Thalia, Calypso, Alex, Sam, and, of course, herself.
If she could just keep them talking long enough for Reyna, Leo, and the rest of the 'kidnapped' students to get into the castle, everything would go according to plan and she could focus on something else. But if she didn't, if something went wrong…
Stop it, she told herself. Everything will go just like we planned.
She looked at Thalia.
Thalia mouthed 20 minutes.
20 minutes. That was all. She just had to keep them here for 20 more minutes, then she and Calypso would slip out and find Reyna.
Hecate had promised that if they did everything correctly the rest of the plan would fall into place.
She just hoped Hecate was right.
Leo's POV
"Come on Calypso," Leo muttered.
Everything was going great. They just needed Calypso to give them the signal.
Just then Annabeth came running around the corner.
"Leo? Reyna?" She whisper-yelled.
"Here," Reyna said. Annabeth breathed a sigh of relief.
"Where's Calypso?" Leo asked immediately. If something happened to her-
"Calypso's fine," Annabeth said. "She just had to IM Parvati to make sure she got everyone inside in time."
Annabeth and Calypso always seemed a little awkward when they were together or talking about each other, which made sense, considering what had happened…
"I'm here," Calypso said, running around the corner.
Leo breathed out a sigh of relief. He stepped up to hug Calypso then dragged her over to the little corner of the hallway they had found.
"Hi," Calypso said. "Reyna, you asked Dumbledore about the Halloween thing right?"
"Yup," Reyna said.
"Calypso, you brought me a snack, right?" Leo asked.
"No," Calypso said flatly.
"But-" He started.
"No,"
"But-"
"No!"
"But what if-"
"NO!"
"Annabeth?" Someone behind Leo asked. "What are you-wait Leo?! Where were you? And Reyna?!"
"I really don't want to turn around," Leo said.
"I think we have to," Calypso responded.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" He asked.
"No,"
"On three," Leo said. "One...THREE!"
"WHAT?!" Calypso yelled but Leo was already turning.
Immediately, Leo put his hands in the air. "This isn't what it looks like!" He yelped.
Hermione just stood there, gaping at them.
"You four have a lot of explaining to do," She said.
Hazel's POV
Hazel pretended not to notice when Calypso and Annabeth slipped out of the room. She also pretended not to notice when they slipped back into the room 10 minutes later. Or how Sam and Alex exchanged looks with them.
Hazel had been noticing little things like this for weeks now but hadn't mentioned it to anyone. She didn't know about Calypso but Annabeth was smart. And from what she had just learned, so where Alex and Sam.
"Well," Will said. "Now that we've finally finished introductions and exchanging stories, does anyone have any theories?"
Everyone shook their heads except for Nico.
"I have a feeling something bigger is going on here," Nico said. "Some of us might know more" -he glanced at Annabeth, Calypso, Alex, and Sam- "but I think we should let it happen."
"Or you know, people might just be being kidnapped by bloodthirsty monsters," Jason said.
Nico glared at him.
"I think we should listen to Death Brain here," Percy said. "But I also think we should consider the fact that this very well might just be a bunch of monsters who decided to kidnap some wizards and demigods." (*ahem* Title reference *ahem*)
Suddenly Sam walked forward. Annabeth sent her a look that Hazel couldn't read, Sam seemed to get it though.
"Nico is right," She said. "Something is going to happen. Please let it happen. And trust us."
"10 galleons says she's right," A voice from the shadows said.
"You're on," A similar voice said.
And Fred and George Weasley stepped out of the shadows.
(this would have been a great place to stop...and just leave you guys on another cliffhanger…)
Piper's POV
Piper studied the two wizards. They reminded her of Travis and Connor. But the gleam in their eyes...that was more like Leo.
Leo...no, she wouldn't think about it. Not now.
"How did you get in here?" Percy asked, hand in his pocket where she knew Riptide was stored.
"Well," One of them said.
"You," The other continued.
"See,"
"We,"
"Might,"
"Have,"
"Been,"
"Having,"
"Dreams,"
"And not just any dreams,"
"No,"
"Weird,"
"Dreams,"
"What does this have to do with us?" Jason growled.
"Well, you see," One of the twins started. "My dear brother Gred here informed me that a weird man dressed in a bedsheet had talked to him in his dreams."
"And my dear brother Feorge accused me of lying," The other twin continued. "So, naturally, I had to prove him wrong. And, after a month of spying on you lot, I can safely say that he owes me a Butterbeer."
"What are you trying to say?" Percy asked.
"We know you're demigods," Feorge-gods, what were that names?-said.
"Wha...how…" Percy gapped.
"Oh please," Gred said. "It's a miracle you kept it secret this long."
"Also we've had plenty more dreams," Feorge said.
"Hermes likes his mysteries," Gred muttered.
"Which certainly didn't hurt," Feorge finished.
"One, your names are Fred and George," Nico said. "Travis and Connor pull that trick on all the new campers. And two, weren't you guys the sons of Hermes we were supposed to find?"
"About that-" Gred-no, Fred, Piper corrected herself-said.
"Who are Travis and Connor?" George asked.
"Hermes cabin Co-Counselors back at camp," Piper said.
"So it's true then?" Fred asked.
"Yes, the Greek Gods are real, we're their children blah blah blah," Percy said. "What were you saying about being sons of Hermes?"
"You might want to sit down," Fred said, gesturing to the cramped space where there was no possible way for them to all sit down comfortably. "It's a long story."
Harry's POV
"Don't do it," Hermione gasped as she ran into the Gryffindor common room.
"Do what?" Ron asked.
She rolled her eyes. "I know you're planning on 'exposing' the Americans but you don't have to."
"What do you mean?" Harry asked, now curious.
"Just wait until tonight," She said.
"What do you mean-wait, isn't today Halloween?" Harry asked.
Ron stared at him in surprise.
"You forgot?!" Harry asked.
"Well, kind of," Ron said sheepishly. "With everything going on it just sort of...slipped my mind. I'm sure the food's gonna be great as always though."
Harry nodded absentmindedly but Hermione walked away.
He could have sworn he heard her mutter 'Boys' under her breath.
~time skip to dinner just because I haven't done anything like this in a while so ima randomly dedicate this one to Cameron Boyce and Chadwick Boseman~
Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked into the Great Hall to see the Americans sitting at their table already talking loudly.
"You've never heard of Little Mix?" Piper was asking Sam.
"Come on," Hermione said, rushing over. "Even I've heard of Little Mix.
"All right," Piper said. "Raise your hand if you've heard of Little Mix."
Piper, Hermione, Annabeth, Alex, Magnus, Percy, Frank, Will, Sadie, Carter, Zia, and Walt raised their hands. It had taken Harry a while to memorize all of their names but he could now name all of them.
"What's Little Mix?" Ron asked.
Piper gaped at him. "Only the best girl group ever."
"What's your favorite Little Mix song?" Hermione asked.
"Shout Out To My Ex, Strip, Wasabi, Good Enough, Power, Break-Up Song, Bounce Back, Wings, Secret Love Song, Woman Like Me, Salute, Woman's World, Little Me, Only You-" Piper started.
"Um, Pipes? Are you just named all of their songs?" Jason asked.
"No," Piper said. "I don't like A.D.I.D.A.S. Wait...Jason...you've never heard Little Mix...have you?"
Jason shook his head. "I mean, I've heard you talking about them but…"
"As soon as we get back to Camp we are going to binge-watch the X-Factor 2011 then listen to all of their albums and singles," Piper said.
They were interrupted by all of the candles flickering once, twice, three times.
Annabeth, Calypso, Alex, and Sam stood up.
"Remember what I said about trust?" Annabeth asked.
Most of the Americans nodded but Harry had no idea what she was talking about.
"Well, trust us," Alex said.
Calypso grabbed their hands and whistled loudly.
Then the candles went out and darkness engulfed them.
Calypso's POV
Under the cover of darkness, Calypso snuck out of the Great Hall. Annabeth and Alex should be causing chaos in the Great Hall right about now while Calypso and Sam got the rest of the kids onto a stage-thingy Leo had installed in the middle of the night a little while ago.
"Hey Sunshine," Leo said from behind her, jumping out from behind a statue.
"Gah!" Calypso jumped. "Stop doing that."
"What do you mean? I've only done that a few times….well nevermind, but you keep falling for it!" He said.
She just glared at him.
He glared back.
"Well, are we doing this or not?" He asked, breaking her stare.
"Follow me," Calypso said.
"I know where the stage is," Leo said. "I built it."
"Just follow me," She said with a laugh.
"Fine but-Ow!" Leo said as he bumped into painting. "When did that get there?"
"Watch it, buddy," The night in the painting said.
Leo stuck his tongue out at the knight.
"Okay...we're leaving now," Calypso said, dragging Leo away from the knight who was now trying to find his sword, which was actually stuck on his shirt behind him.
They walked over to the stage and stepped up to the mic Leo had installed. Even in the darkness, Calypso could see Sam give her a thumbs up, meaning that everyone was in position and it was time to begin.
"You ready?" She asked Leo.
"As long as you're here with me, I'll be ready for anything," He said.
"Aw, that was sweet," Calypso said.
"Hey, that's the first time anyone's ever said anything like that to me," Leo said.
Calypso bit back another laugh.
Then Leo took a deep breath and light flooded the room once again.
Before you kill me, just know that I'm sorry. Still gonna kill me? Oook...This chapter totally feels like an 'I'm-sorry-this-is-so-late-but-I-tried-to-make-it-good-for-you-guys-because-you've-been-so-nice-and-supportive' chapter but oh well. Umm...also I'm kind of confused about the whole TunderNad24 and TunderNad thing...soooo...uuuuum….yeah…..
Headcanon of the chapter because I forgot to do one last time:
Will: So, you have 12 apples and your friend asks you for 6. What do you have?
Nico:
Nico: *tears up*
Nico: A friend.
