Aria

I heard Din let out a sigh, something I had heard him do many times before but this one was different. It was a triumphant sigh, instead of one of defeat. It was a sigh that told me he had been holding his breath just as much as I had during his speech. It told me that he was relieved and most importantly… happy.

"Finally." Din half growled, half murmured, dropping his mouth back on mine and surprising me. I put both arms around his neck as he lifted me from the sand, crushing me tightly to him as he kissed me. When he set me down again, it took all my self-control not to open my eyes.

"I love you." Din tells me confidently and without hesitation.

"I love you more." I challenge and he squeezes me in warning, his hands drifting from my waist.

"Not here." He murmurs, "Later."

He takes the ring from me and slips it on my finger, brushing his thumb over it possessively.

Din bends and I hear the hiss of his helmet go back on and I open my eyes, lifting my hand to my face.

"This is beautiful." I breathe, looking up at him in awe.

"And it fits." Din replies, bringing me closer to him and hugging me.

"Congratulations, you two." Cara bellows, throwing her arms around both of us from behind, making me stagger and Din swear. "About damn time, Mando."

"Alright, alright." He brushes her off but I can tell from his tone that he's grinning under that helmet.

Cara kisses me in an unexpected gesture, making me smile at her acceptance of me.

"So uh," She whispers conspiratorially, "Let me know how it all works, ok? What with the helmet and all."

I turn red and smack her, hoping to heaven that Din didn't hear her. He wraps an arm around me,

"We've gotta have some secrets between us, Cara." He says, his voice a little husky and Cara laughs again,

"Right. See you around, Mandalorian."

"I am pleased for you." Kuiil speaks at my elbow, "I wish you many happinesses in the days to come."

"You are a good friend." Din shakes his hand, still keeping one arm around me. "I'm glad our paths crossed."

"Well I guess I know the answer to my previous offer!" Greef claps The Mandalorian on the shoulder, making him grunt. "You're going to be far busier than I'd imagined, what with continuing the species and all."

I let out a groan, hiding my face as Din tightened his hand around me,

"Alright, alright! Get all the innuendos out of the way!"

Everybody laughed and I got the feeling that Din was feeling extremely pleased with himself.

"Come on," he stopped to pick the kid up, cradling him in his free arm, "Let's go home."

"Are you alive in there?" Din asked, his voice muffled through the door and the sound of running water.

"Hold on!" I shout back, wincing as shampoo slides into my eyes.

"You don't smell bad, you know." He continues and I let out a laugh,

"Are you kidding? I smell and look horrible!""Didn't stop me from proposing to you." Din's voice definitely has a touch of pride in it and I can hear it even through the door.

I smile to myself but shout again,

"While that is true, I can't let you near me until I get the blood out of my hair. Otherwise I'm afraid you'll change your mind."

"I would never do that." The Mandalorian's voice sounds right on the other side of the curtain and I shriek, dropping the soap and watching it shoot out of the tub.

"Din!" I say, slipping around, alarmed, "You can't just walk into the bathroom while I'm in the shower!"

"You're my wife."

"Not yet, you bucket!"

Din's form bends as he reaches for something on the floor and he hands me the soap over the shower curtain.

I'm too short to reach it so I hop a little, grabbing it.

"Thank you." I say begrudgingly.

"You're welcome."

I rinse my hair and start scrubbing my body.

"You can't see me... right?" I venture to ask. Din is silent for a moment.

"I can see enough."

Oh shit.

"Well how much?"

"Do you really want to know?" He sounds amused and I shake my head vigorously as he chuckles.

"What are you doing here anyway?" I inquire and he stretches his legs out on the floor, his head still cocked towards me.

"I got tired of waiting for you out there."

"Where's the kid?"

"Sleeping."

Well there's something.

"Din?"

"Hm?"

I poke my head around the corner to find him looking right at me.

"Too bad you're too scared to join me."

He hums, reaching out and brushing his thumb over my lips before responding,

"Too bad that I want our first time to be done properly and in a bed." He quips. "But there's always a next time."

I sigh, turning off the water and waiting but he doesn't move.

"Uh… Din?"

"What is it, honey?" The term of endearment makes me shiver and I lose my train of thought. "Aria?"

"I'm fine." I squeak. "Um… you're really hot. I mean-"

"What?" Din sounds even more amused now.

"I said you're a butt...um… yeah." "Oh ok." Din laughs under his breath, "Good to know."

"Would you be an angel and hand me a towel, sir?" I stick out a hand purposefully dripping water all over his legs and he gets up, shaking his head.

"What am I going to do with you?" He says in a low voice, handing me a towel.

"Hopefully lots of things." I answer innocently, wrapping myself and stepping out. I look up at the sharp intake of breath above my head and I know Din is staring at me. "Hi."

"Hey." He reaches out and runs a finger down my bare arm before turning and walking out, calling over his shoulder. "I'll wait for you in here."

I slipped my way down to Din's small corner in the Razor Crest, hitting my toe on something metal and biting back a curse. I feel around for the bed and then flop into it, disappointed that I don't bounce the way I normally do.

The reason behind said lack of bounce reaches in the dark for me, drawing me close to him and sighing. As my eyes became heavy, I smile to myself as Din fingers the Beskar ring on my left hand, no doubt half asleep himself. Then the sweet sleep overtakes me and I'm out like a light.
