Octavia pov
I wake up and realize that I'm sleeping in a real bed. My head is on Robby's bare chest and I look up to see him sleeping soundly. I grin like an idiot as last night comes back to me. He said he loves me he actually loves me. However, he told me he prevented population reduction and hasn't told me the story. He opens his eyes and looks at me.
He smiles and says "hey," in a groggy voice.
"Hey," I respond and lean up to kiss him.
"I love you," I whisper in his ear. Then I playfully nip at his ear lobe.
He rolls over and looks at me smiling.
"What are you looking at weirdo?" I ask as he stares and I assume his mind is lost in thought.
"Oh ya know, just you eyes," he says as he plays with a strand of my hair.
"Yesterday you said you prevented population reduction," I say
"Well that shooting star everyone saw. That wasn't a shooting star," he says.
"Wait really?" I say sarcastically.
We both snicker.
"Raven came down with a radio and I found it and told the ark the ground was survivable. Then during the storm Sinclair confirmed that my response prevented a culling of 320 people." He tells me.
"Robby Kane, the hero of the ark," I say kissing him passionately.
"Unfortunately, Bellamy found me and broke that radio. He was pissed about what I said to you and he pulled a knife on me. I would've been killed if Clarke and Finn didn't show up," Robby says.
"What?! I swear when I get back I'm going to—!" I say angrily.
The fact that Bellamy was literally going to kill Robby made my blood boil. Me and Bell were gonna have a long talk when I got back.
"Octavia it's fine. He apologized and he had a good reason to be pissed. I would've deserved it at the time," he shrugs.
"No it's not okay, I appreciate how much he cares, but he needs to let me live my life however the hell I want," I say.
"Nice callback to our first days on the ground," Robby says grinning at me.
I laugh out loud when I remember Bellamy yelling about everyone doing whatever the hell they want.
"We should probably get back," Robby says.
I don't want to go back just yet I could really use a day off from camp. Plus I haven't gotten to be alone with Robby for more than half an hour besides last night.
"Wait," I whine.
"Why don't we just take a day to ourselves. Plus we haven't really gotten to go on an official date yet," I say
"Octavia Blake, are you asking me out on a date?" Robby teases with fake surprise.
"Yeah I am you drama queen," I tease smirking.
"Well usually I wait until after the third or fourth date to act out last night," he teases back with a smirk.
My heart sinks as I think about how I could just be another tally on his probably high body count.
"Hey I'm kidding it was my first time," he says reassuringly.
"And Im really glad I waited for my first time to be with the girl I truly loved," he says kissing me.
I give him a smirk and say "how bout a day with just you and me."
"I'm game," he says crawling back into bed.
"Plus I could use some more shut eye. I'm not exactly a morning person," he shrugs as he pulls me close.
"Mornings are overrated," I say snuggling up against him and closing my eyes.
After we finally decide to get up, we spend the day walking around the woods laughing and joking around.
He pulls me down when we see a family of deer eating grass.
"Wonder if they have two heads?" He asks me.
They turn and one of them has two heads, but the others do not.
"Guess it's a recessive gene," he shrugs.
"Your such a nerd," I laugh elbowing him lightly in the ribs.
"Guess you think I'm smart then," he says smiling.
"Among other things," I tease.
He laughs and kisses me.
We spend the rest of the day sitting by a clearing that faces a lake. He wraps his arms around me from behind.
"What a view. You being in it is the bonus," he says.
"Your cute," I tease and kiss him on the cheek.
"O, today was amazing I'm glad you suggested taking a day to get away from it all," Robby says.
"Me to, I had a wonderful time. I just want you to know that last night, I wanted it to be you," I say snuggling against him.
"Hmm so I earned my second date?" He asks jokingly.
"Well I didn't say I love you for nothing," I tease and kiss him. The kiss deepens, but he stops. I give him a pouty look.
"We never got to go for that swim like we wanted to that first day," Robby says looking at the lake.
"Water snakes suck," I say grinning at him.
"Well why don't we give it another shot?" He suggests.
"Yeah sure. Figure it's worth losing a leg or two," I say shrugging.
He snorts and says "Cmon,"
I strip like I did that first day and he watches me with a smirk on his face. I wink at him and leap into the water. He tosses his jacket aside and takes off his shirt and jacket. He dove into the water. When he emerged to the surface he flipped his hair back and it fell almost to his shoulders.
"Quit posing," I tease.
He looks at me then smiles "O, you know you love it when I pose," he says the picks me up and dips me into the water.
I yelp when he picks me up. I then come back to the surface laughing my ass off.
"Asshole!" I shout laughing.
I then splash him.
"Hoho your gonna pay for that one," he teases then picks me up bridal style.
"Robby no, no," I warn grinning.
I squeal as he dunks me into the water.
"Guess I win," he teases.
I put my leg behind his then lean in to kiss him. Right before we connect I shove him and he falls into the water with a startled shout.
"Ok that was good," he says grinning as he combs his hair backward with his hands.
I get a good look at his face. I notice that when the sun shines down on him, I can see small freckles on his nose. They're not noticeable unless the sun is out and it makes him look even hotter. Thanks to the sun, his complexion has become more tan since the ark.
"Octavia check it out," he says pointing to the sky.
"Not falling for that one," I say going deeper to where the water reaches my neck instead of waist.
"No seriously look," he says in awe.
I turn around and look in awe at the sunset. It is the most beautiful sight I've seen since coming to earth.
"I can't believe it," I whisper.
"Cmon lets go dry off," he suggests.
We make our way back to land and climb out of the water. We lay on the tiny beach by the clearing of the lake and stare at the colorful sunset. I scoot closer and lay my head on his bare muscular chest. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close.
"A real sunset. I only saw them in pictures or movies," he whispers.
"It's so beautiful," I say.
Once the sun goes down and the sky turns from a color mesh of blue, orange, pink, and yellow to a starry night sky, we put our clothes back on and get ready to leave.
"I know I've said it before, but today was amazing," he says.
"Going for that swim was an awesome idea," I say.
"I've wanted to go for that swim since day one. I couldn't think of a better person to spend this day with," he says and kisses me.
Our kiss deepens and we decide to take it back to the bunker again.
