Hermione decided against following Bella. After all, she would just kick her out of the room until she was able to talk. Instead, she left Luna be, and headed back home. She would tell the Cullens tomarrow.
The next day, she apparated into the Cullen house living room. "I bring news." The Cullens stopped what they are doing to listen intently. "Jacob imprinted on Luna yesterday."
"That mutt?" Emmett growled. Hermione nodded.
"Yes." Hermione told them sadly. "She'll be hanging around in La Push for most of the time."
Rosalie huffed, "And I thought I liked her." She rolled her eyes.
Hermione exasperatedly said, "Don't judge her because a shape-shifter imprinted on her. Even though you hate their tribe, you can't take it our on Luna or Jacob. They didn't decide that they were soul mates."
The Cullens exchanged glances but made no further comments.
Alice fell into a trance.
Victoria sunk her teeth into a young girl's neck. She couldn't have been out of her teens. Then, she drew back. "This is what you wanted." She told the girl softly who slowly drifted into unconsciousness.
Alice gasped. Victoria didn't drain her dry. She purposefully bit into a human who wanted to become a vampire. She got another snippet.
The two vampires were running in the woods. Lavender had just asked a question and was looking at Victoria contentiously. Victoria stared, "Oh her? She's with a large coven of vampires in the Olympic region. We should pay them a visit now."
A few seconds later, Edward was pacing and cursing. "Victoria is coming in five minutes with a newborn she turned a few days ago. I think that they ae looking for Hermione."
Rosalie grabbed Hermione's arm. "You can't leave now, Hermione. She'll follow your trail!"
"I'm not going anywhere." Hermione stated firmly. "I'm not defenseless either and you might need my help."
The Cullens were anxiously waiting for Victoria to come. They and Hermione were standing outside in a clearing. They would use Hermione's magic as an element of surprise.
Victoria came out of the shadows. She smirked, "We meet again."
Hermione pointed her wand at Victoria, confidently pronouncing, "Impedimenta."
The red head easily dodged the spell. "You thought magic would work on me?" Victoria sneered, "In fact, I know all about how your wands work and what each spell does." She made a quick gesture and called, "You may come out now."
From the woods, came out a female vampire. She no longer had the rosy cheeks Hermione recognized. Her curly hair was cut short, and she was taller than she had been before. She had blood red eyes. The vampire had her hands by her side and wore a cruel smile.
She was Lavender Brown.
Hermione elapsed in shock. "Lavender," she gently said, "I know you're not this type of person. You're the one who was my roommate for six years and bravely faced Greyback during the battle. But are you really a magical vampire? It is supposed to be impossible."
"It is all your fault." Lavender put out bluntly. "Ron always believed that you and he were always going to work out. And I thought it was time to take it all out on you. You deserve to die in my hands." She went on, "But you ruined my plans. When I met Victoria who turned me, my magic left with my past life." She sniffed unhappily. "But I guess we'll come back later to get you, or maybe your ickle clumsy cousin," She broke into a very wide grin, "When we won't be outnumbered."
"Well said, Lavender." Victoria smiled maliciously.
Without a goodbye, the two vampires retreated into the shadows of the woods.
The Cullens dragged Hermione back to their house. None of them were speaking. "I guess we know what they are looking for now." Edward announced darkly.
Alice wailed, "I saw what was going on in the future! They are going to turn a bunch of newborn vampires in Seattle and form a newborn army."
If it were possible, Jasper would even more white than his already pale skin. He had experience with newborn vampires. They were stronger because they had more human blood in them but aren't that skilled at fighting. He shifted closer to Alice soothingly. She continued, "By sundown this Saturday, our family and Hermione would be dead!"
Hermione woke up from her trance. "What about Luna? Do they know that she's here?"
Edward interrupted, "No, but we'll never know for sure. The future can change."
"If Luna helped us in the war?" Rosalie proposed.
"They are skilled with dodging curses and it still won't help much." Alice claimed.
Hermione thought hard in her head, "Luna…and the wolves…Oh, what a great idea!" She jumped up and down, and shouted at a considerable volume, especially for the fact that she's talking to vampires with extraordinary hearing. "I'll be right back!"
The Cullens tried to restrain her. Emmett argued, "You shouldn't go around the town alone. Victoria and Lavender are probably still guarding the area. Rosalie and I will come with you." He glanced at his wife, who nodded.
Hermione rolled her eyes, they couldn't go to La Push, and she wouldn't be able to apparate two people with her. She assured them by removing the scent from her body with a charm. She took advantage of the astounded vampires. "I'll be back in an hour or so!"
Jasper snapped out of it first and asked, "But where are you—"
She was already gone with a loud crack.
"—going." He finished lamely.

A/N: I'm so sorry…I've been procrastinating a lot on updating. Sincere apologies to y'all. I don't know how much longer this is going to go. Another few chapters—maybe? I want to get the next chapter in by tomorrow.
I may or may not have been stalling for so long because I'm working on a new Harry Potter fanfiction. I've only got half a chapter done, and I don't know when to post it. In addition to that, I had been working on two other unpublished fanfics that I put a hold on. Sorry. And on top of all of that, I've gotten extremely into shipping Dramione. :D -a-potato-forever

To pclauink: Thanks for supporting my opinion. As yes, Hermione would have to deal with a heartbroken and sad Bella in the coming chapters. Thanks for all of your support, a-potato-forever
To Perseus101: Umm, I don't see where I said "Selfies" …(sadness). Thanks a lot! Be sure to keep yourself safe during this time as well! I could go into a long rant about this Coronavirus stuff, but I'm sure you get the point. Heh, heh. -a-potato-forever.
