Chapter 27: To I-Island
Aizawa's P.O.V
I was continuing to look at the ring that Midoriya found earlier from his encounter.
"What do you think this thing is?" Midnight asked.
"I'm not sure, but I think it'll have an important role in the future."
"hm. That's a bold statement to say, but I think I can agree." She gave the ring a good look, "And it doesent look like some toy you can play with. Should we bring it to principle nezu? " Midnight suggested.
"Good idea," I stated.
"Alright, I'll do that."
"I think we should be prepared for what is to come. I don't know About you, but this ring is giving me bad vibes. Stay prepared. " She warned, and started walking away, ring in her pocket.
Later we were talking in Principal Nezu's office.
Nezu was taking a sip of his tea.
"So you say this ring channeled Discharge's gauntlets?" he asked.
"yes, from what we saw." Midnight confirmed
"Midoriya also told us that somehow he was able to use this ring to have abilities similar to the Aura quirk." I explained.
Midnight thought of something.
Midnight nodded, "You don't think that ring has the power to use the same quirk or a similar ability to what the other quirk user has, do you? " She asked back, looking for Nezu's thoughts.
"It's been passed down from generation to generation to different people who don't even need to be remotely related to each other.. it's a strange quirk phenomenon not many know about. And scientists that do cannot test it's properties and conduct tests on it since there handy been a person with that quick in decades... And if scientists or anyone who is related to politics and powerful companies, midoriya could well be in danger, and the ring could be brought into the wrong hands. We must keep this all a secret and must be told to the smallest amount of people possible. " Nezu explained.
"You mean those rings are ancient?"
"Very much. Not much is known about this ring, but it is told the first person to come in contact with it after the last person with the aura quirk dies gains that quirk, and it will grow far more powerful than any quirk known in existence as there becomes a new owner to that quirk. If put into the wrong hands, it could end the whole pro hero line and anyone trying to do any sort of justice."
"you say not a lot is known about this ring, yet you told me so much information I could make a whole document on it right now. " Midnight raised an eyebrow.
I was amazed.
"So that's how Midoriya has so many semi quirks."
"So there's more than one kind of Aura Art?" Midnight asked.
"The Aura Arts are based off various forms of martial arts such as karate, and kung fu," Nezu explained.
"Do you know anything else?" Midnight asked.
I was curious myself.
"hm, I wish, but this is all the information I hold at the moment. I hope to continue to learn about this unique quirk. And for that, aizawa. "
Nezu looked at me. "I need you to keep a good eye on midoriya and report anything new about his quirk I have not already explained. Understood? " The man nodded.
"I'll keep both eyes on him," All Might stated, "After all he is my pupil, and soon to be my son in law."
"is that so? Well congratulations, allmight." Nezu congratulated.
Deku's P.O.V
We were all getting on the plane to go to I-Island.
I had my books on all the pro heroes that hail from the island, and other things I saw interesting.
"Its gonna be great to see our old friend, Melissa Shield," Ochako told me.
Melissa Shield is a good friend of mine and Ochako. Like most of the students here, she also shipped me and Ochako. She'll be pretty surprised when she finds out we're dating. I was also told by Aizawa to hold on to that ring as it might be important.
As I was falling asleep, I started to see more visions. This time, it was me and Bakugo fighting against another foe who had abilities similar to me. The stranger then went after Bakugo. Just as he was about to attack I was awoken.
"Deku wake up!" Ochako said, "We're here."
I looked through the window and saw the place.
It was even more amazing than I pictured.
We started to land and headed to the airport to collect our belongings.
"Alright everyone, if you'll follow me," said someone, "We'll bring you all to the hotel you'll be staying at."
Mina was overjoyed.
"Our own hotel?" She exclaimed happily, "Free of charge?!"
"Now now Mina calm down," Kirishima said smiling.
"Speak for yourselves," Bakugo said, "I'm home."
We were on a bus taking a tour of the sights of I-Island.
There were training courses, tech support, and many other areas as far as the eye could see.
I was starting to geek out and mutter.
"You're creeping me out," Tsu commented, "Stop it. Please."
Ochako kissed me on the cheek to calm me down.
"So cute," she said.
Bakugo on the other hand was excited to try out the obstacle course to get stronger.
"My shot to overthrow the competition," he said making Starla giggle to herself.
All Might looked to me.
"So why do you think I-Island was created?" He asked me.
"To do research on quirks and also develop hero support items!" I said, "I do remember Hatsume geeking out about it."
I started going into more detail again.
"As I expect from such a smart boy," All Might said, "And my future son in law."
"What?"
"Oh nothing," he said.
Someone approached us.
"Welcome to I-Expo," she said.
She got a good look at me.
"Wait a minute….. its DEKU!"
The minute someone said that name, crowds of people started crowding me.
"You saved dozens of lives by defeating All For One!"
"Can I have your autograph?!"
"What's your best attack?!"
People were asking me a thousand questions.
Ochako pulled me away.
"Thanks, Ochako," I said while breathing.
"Hmm, it seems word has gotten out about your big battle," All Might told me, "Do you still have that ring?"
"You mean this?"
I pulled out the ring with the yellow gem in it.
"You should take good care of it as well, as it might give us answers to that one attack you two dealt with."
We heard someone come by on a pogo stick.
"Well look who it is," exclaimed All Might.
Ochako and I both recognized her.
It was Melissa Shield!
"There you are, Uncle Might! Welcome!" She said jumping into his arms.
All Might chuckled.
"I can't believe you're actually here," Melissa said, "Its great to finally see you again."
She looked down to see us.
"Izuku, Ochako!"
She went to hug us.
"Hey Pen Pal," said Ochako hugging back.
"You two have gotten big, I almost didn't recognize you," Melissa said, "It must be quite an honor working with the legendary All Might."
I scratched my head and chuckled.
"I can't say it enough," Melissa stated, "I am so sorry about what happened to your parents."
"It's ok, they're up there watching over us," Ochako commented.
"Well, Midoriya had some serious guts to go in that burning building."
"Well something big has changed with us as well," Ochako told her, "Deku and I have been dating for a whole year now."
Melissa squealed.
"I knew it would happen!" She said, "You two will make great babies together."
I was blushing a dark red.
She was then going around my costume.
"Um… what are you…"
"Its ok Deku," Ochako said, "She usually does this to people in hero costumes."
Melissa was looking around my costume.
"The costume looks cool, but it seems pretty simplistic, and I don't see any support items either. What's your quirk again?"
I started to glow and aura was surrounding my body.
Melissa was amazed.
"Whoa," she said, "I never thought I'd see the day. And how about you Ochako?"
"I make things weightless and use them to my advantage," Ochako explained, "It also helps out with my Martial Arts training."
"Looks like someone's having fun," commented somebody from behind.
I looked to see Momo and Jirou looking at me.
"Whoa whoa whoa, its not what it looks like!" I said.
"Wow Midori, I never thought you'd stoop that low," Mina said giving me a playful glare.
"Shame on you Midoriya," Jirou said teasing me, "Cheating on your girlfriend like that."
"Damn it, its not like that!" I said.
Ochako put her hands on my shoulders.
"Sweetie relax," she told me, "And girls, ease off on him, Melissa is our friend."
"We know, we know," Momo said, "We were just playing around."
"Well it isn't funny."
"So while the I Expo is starting up, how about I show you all around the island?" Melissa asked.
"Sounds like a blast," Mina said.
Someone was watching us.
"All Might has appeared in I-Island," he said, "This just keeps getting better."
He took another ring and placed it into a machine creating a weapon.
"Let's see how he fares against my new technology."
