Michelle and Weiss walked to the infirmary together and looked through the window and they could see that Ruby was awake and laying in the bed before Weiss then placed her hand on Michelle's shoulder to comfort her and Yang and the others arrived not too long after and Blake and Yang stood next to Michelle and Weiss.

Yang then placed her hand on Michelle's other shoulder as she said to her, "Go on Michelle, my little sis is probably waiting to see her girlfriend." So Michelle nodded her head and took a deep breath before entering the room and sat down next to Ruby before she said to her,

"Hey Ruby, how are you feeling? My little rose bud."

And Ruby sat up in the bed as she wrapped her arms around Michelle in a loving embrace as she replied, "well umm...my tummy still hurts a little b-but I feel much better with you here with me Michelle." Then Michelle returned the embrace with tears in her eyes as she said,

"I'm so glad you are ok Ruby...I-I was so scared I had lost you and that I was going to be all alone again, oh a-and Weiss and the others are waiting outside."

Ruby then wiped the tears from Michelle's eyes as she said, "hey don't cry Michelle, I'm still here with you and to me that's all what matters right now although...the doctors did tell me not to eat cookies for a while, anyway you can tell the others they can come in to see me after all we are still a team and we are all friends." And Michelle giggled a little as she sniffled in reply,

"You are such a bad liar Ruby, I know for a fact even though your stomach still hurts a little you are still gonna eat cookies with or without me but yeah I will go and tell the others they can come in."

Before Michelle then stood up and walked over to the door and peeked her head out as she said to Yang and the others standing outside, "Ruby said that it is ok for you guys to come in and see her" and Yang smiled at Michelle as she held Blake's hand as they walked in the room together followed by Weiss and the others.

Meanwhile...

Qrow was in General Ironwood's office yelling at him as General Ironwood tried to sound as calm as possible as he said, "Qrow, please calm down and let's talk about this like men." And Qrow yelled at General Ironwood in anger, "OH DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN JAMES! YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN THOSE KIDS KILLED!"

General Ironwood then slammed his fists on his desk as he yelled back at him, "THEY KNEW THE RISKS WHEN THEY ACCEPTED THE MISSION!" and Qrow snapped back at him,

"HOW COULD YOU SEND THEM ALONE WITHOUT THE REST OF THEIR TEAM! THERE WAS A REASON OZ WANTED THEM IN TEAMS!"

Then General Ironwood then stood up from his desk as he yelled, "ENOUGH! OZ WASN'T WILLING TO MAKE THE SACRIFICES THAT I AM WILLING TO IN ORDER TO STOP SALEM FOR GOOD!" before Qrow then walked towards the door of the office but stopped as he turned to General Ironwood and yelled one last time, "NOW I CAN SEE WHY MICHELLE DOESN'T LIKE AUTHORITY MUCH! ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE IN CHARGE!" before he stormed out and slammed the door behind him.

Back at the infirmary...

Ruby was showered with hugs from her friends and her team mates before Yang said to her sister with a smile on her face, "I'm glad you're ok sis, but I think Michelle is more happy than any of us as she was really worried about you." And Ruby smiled back at her sister as she replied,

"I know Yang, and the doctors say that I should be ok to leave today but they want me to take it easy for a few days to make sure my wound has fully healed so umm it might be a little while before I can go back out in the field."

Michelle then sat there and smiled as she said to her girlfriend, "That's great news Ruby, and umm could I talk to you when we get back to our dorm room?" and Ruby smiled back at Michelle as she replied,

"Of course Michelle my love, it will be nice to spend some time with you as I missed being in your arms."

Before a doctor then came in and smiled as she said to Ruby, "Well Ms. Rose, with your injury healing up nicely we can say that you can leave today but remember to take it easy for a few days to make sure your wound has fully healed and you were lucky your friend made that makeshift bandage for you." And Ruby looked at her girlfriend before she looked back at the doctor and smiled as she replied,

"I will doc, and I know my...friend will help me take things easy while my wound heals."

Before Ruby then got out from her bed as she took Michelle's hand into her own as she said to her, "Come on Michelle, let's go back to our dorm room so we can snuggle in each other's arms and you can talk to me in private." And Michelle smiled and gave Ruby a little peck on her cheek as she replied,

"Ok, let's go to our dorm room then."

As both Michelle and Ruby left the infirmary together holding hands leaving the others in the room as they just smiled as they watched them leave.

Inside Michelle and Ruby's dorm room...

When Michelle and Ruby got to their dorm room Ruby sat down on the bed and waited for her girlfriend to sit next to her before Michelle smiled as she said, "I'll be with you in a minute Ruby, I just need to repair my arm a little as I didn't realise how damaged it was after my fight with Cinder."

Ruby just innocently swished her legs back and forth as she smiled back at her girlfriend as she replied, "Ok Michelle, I'll probably repair my sweet crescent rose tomorrow n-not that I don't think you aren't sweet or anything." And after a few minutes Michelle came and sat next to Ruby on the bed and wrapped her arm around her and giggled a little as she said,

"It's ok, I know what you mean Ruby and you are just so damn cute and adorable and you were there for me when we first met so...now it's my turn to be here for you while you recover."

Then Ruby blushed a little as she looked into her girlfriend's grey eyes and said, "oh umm yeah...with everything that's happened I almost forgot that I rescued you from the Ace Ops when I first came to Atlas." And Michelle pulled Ruby closer to her as they shared a hug and stayed like that in each other's arms for a while before Michelle looked down at Ruby with a smile as she said,

"I love you Ruby Rose...and I swear I will never let anything like this happen to you again as you are my world, my everything and you make me happier than I have ever been in a long time."

And Ruby smiled up at her girlfriend and gave her a little peck on her lips as she replied, "And I love you too Michelle Kyoshi Cass, you have changed my life so much f-for the better a-and even though we still don't know a lot about each other I...I think we have become close to each other but...you said you wanted to talk to me?"

Michelle didn't say a word at first as she just nodded her head before she eventually took a deep breath as she said, "I'm done...with this..." and Ruby looked a little confused and she had some tears building in her eyes as she replied,

"W-what do you mean Michelle? Are you breaking up with me?"

Then Michelle just held Ruby tight in a hug as she wiped her tears from her eyes as she quickly said, "No no, I didn't mean it like that Ruby...it came out wrong what I mean is I am done with this mission and I am done taking orders from General Ironwood..."

Ruby then smiled slightly at her girlfriend as she replied, "I...I think I agree with you Michelle, even though we knew the risks...General Ironwood shouldn't have sent us out there alone without the rest of our team, I know General Ironwood is trying to do the right thing but he still should have sent us out there as a team."

Before Ruby then let out a cute little yawn and Michelle gently laid Ruby down on the bed and gave her a kiss on her forehead before laying down next to her as she said, "We should get some rest for now, it's...been a long day for both of us." And Ruby just nodded her head as she slowly drifted off to sleep in Michelle's arms as Michelle tried to get some sleep herself.

During the night...

While Ruby and Michelle were sleeping they tossed and turned as Michelle remembered what happened that day and Ruby did the same as they mumbled different things in their sleep.

Michelle was swinging her frozen sword at Cinder as their swords violently clashed over and over before she saw Cinder's sword shatter as she was bringing it down on her shoulder when she heard Cinder say "Let's see if your fast enough to save your precious Ruby from this!" and saw her launch a fragment of her sword toward Ruby.

As Michelle mumbled in her sleep, "Mmm...Look out Ruby..." before she woke up in a cold sweat and she looked around the room before she looked down at Ruby and sighed in relief as she said to herself, "Thank goodness, it was just a bad dream and luckily Ruby is ok and I should probably try and get back to sleep." Before she laid back down next to Ruby and tried to go back to sleep.

Meanwhile Ruby mumbled in her sleep as she remembered what happened that day, "Mmm...I'm sorry I couldn't get out of the way in time..."

Ruby was dazed as she slowly dragged herself back to her feet with the help of her crescent rose and she shook her head a couple of times as she struggled to stay on her feet from the shockwaves coming from Michelle and Cinder before she then saw a flaming sword fragment barrelling towards her and she didn't have time to use her semblance before the fragment connected with her stomach and she collapsed to the ground before everything went black.

This time Ruby woke up in a cold sweat and her breathing was heavy before she looked down at her sleeping girlfriend next to her and looked a little sad as she said to herself, "I can't believe I almost left Michelle heartbroken and alone and I feel so bad, maybe I should try to talk to Michelle in the morning but for now I guess I should try and get some sleep." As she laid back down next to Michelle and tried to go back to sleep as she felt Michelle cuddling her tight.

The next day...

The next morning Michelle woke up and stretched before she tried to get out of bed when she felt her girlfriend Ruby pulling her back down next to her as she placed her arm over her and Michelle smiled slightly as she said, "these are unauthorised snuggles, I didn't ask for this." And Ruby removed her arm from her girlfriend.

Michelle then placed Ruby's arm back over her as she gave her a kiss on her forehead and smiled as she said, "Hey, I didn't say you could stop Ruby." And wrapped her own arm over her as they cuddled in bed for a few more minutes before Ruby then slowly stirred from her sleep as she said, "Morning Michelle." And Michelle smiled at Ruby and gave her a kiss on her lips as she replied,

"Morning Ruby, I was already awake but I didn't want to disturb you."

Ruby then smiled back at her girlfriend as she said, "Oh...well can we stay like this and cuddle for a few more minutes before we get some breakfast and I...umm I kinda want to talk to you about...well about what happened yesterday."

And Michelle gave Ruby another kiss on her lips before she broke away from the kiss as she replied, "Of course, anything for my sweet little crimson reaper." So they laid next to each other cuddling in bed for a few more minutes before they both then eventually decided to get up and get dressed before getting some breakfast.

While Ruby was getting dressed Michelle noticed the bandage around her stomach and turned to her as she said softly, "Do you need help changing your bandage Ruby? Or are you ok doing it on your own?" and Ruby smiled at her girlfriend before she motioned for her to come over to her as she blushed a little and replied, "Umm...could you help me with my bandage Michelle?" so Michelle walked over to Ruby and smiled back at her as she said,

"Of course Ruby, all you had to do was ask."

Before Michelle then gently removed the old bandage from around Ruby's stomach and she saw where Cinder's sword fragment had struck her and saw it wasn't fully healed yet before Ruby said to her, "Y-you can touch it if you want to Michelle, I-It doesn't hurt that much anymore." And Michelle looked up at her girlfriend and faintly smiled before she replied,

"No it's ok Ruby, I don't want to cause you any pain."

Then Michelle wrapped a new bandage around Ruby's wound before Ruby then pulled Michelle up to her feet and gave her the tightest hug she could muster before she said, "You know Michelle, what happened to me wasn't your fault so umm you shouldn't blame yourself." And Michelle smiled a little more as she replied,

"I know, but I still feel like I let you down because I wasn't there to protect you like I said I would."

Ruby then finished getting dressed before she placed her hands on her girlfriend's hips and looked up at her as she said, "Listen to me Michelle, umm Cinder caused this not you a-and I know she is probably still out there somewhere so umm we will bring her down next time...as a team."

Michelle then nodded her head as she said, "Right...as a team because we will have Yang and the rest of our team mates with us, come on let's go and get some breakfast...if Nora hasn't eaten everything." And Ruby giggled a little as she took Michelle's metal hand into her own as they walked out of their dorm room together to get some breakfast.

Later...

After breakfast Michelle was sitting in her dorm room by herself in front of a mirror as she thought to herself, "I want to surprise Ruby and do something special but what could I do? I know I'll call Weiss and see if she can help me" so Michelle went to call Weiss on her scroll when she heard a knock on her door so she went to open it and she saw Weiss standing outside before she smiled at her and said, "Hey Weiss, come in you're just the person I was looking for."

So Weiss smiled back at Michelle as she walked into the room and closed the door behind her before she looked a little confused as she replied, "You were looking for me? Also where's Ruby? I thought she normally hangs out with you?" and Michelle sat down on her bed and looked at Weiss as she said,

"Yeah, I need you to help me with something and Ruby went to go and play Remnant with her sister and the others."

Weiss then smiled as she replied, "Of course I'll help you Michelle, what is it exactly you want help with?" and Michelle sat there on the bed in silence for a few minutes before she took a deep breath as she said,

"Ok, you see I want to do something special for Ruby but I'm not really sure what I could do so that's why I asked you for help Weiss."

So Weiss then sat down next to Michelle and smiled as she replied, "Well...I'm glad you asked Michelle because I have the perfect idea on what you can do." And Michelle smiled at Weiss as she said,

"Cool, so...what is this perfect idea of yours then Weiss?"

And Weiss looked at Michelle and replied, "You should take Ruby out on a date, and I don't mean something like a nice day out together I mean take her to dinner at a restaurant and just show Ruby a nice time and she will want to do things like that with you more."

Then Michelle gave Weiss a hug as she said, "Thank you Weiss that's perfect, and...I think we have come a long way from when we first met each other." And Weiss simply returned the hug as she smiled and replied,

"You're welcome Michelle, and yeah...we have come a long way from when we first met each other and I'm glad we are friends and I would do anything for you and Ruby and that goes for Yang and Blake as well."

The two then broke away from the hug as Michelle said sheepishly, "I-I umm should probably get ready for my date with Ruby and thanks again for your help." And Weiss smiled as she replied,

"It's no problem Michelle, that's what friends are for, anyway I'll leave you to get ready for your date with Ruby and I'll go and have a talk with my sister."

Before Weiss then stood up from the bed and left the room leaving Michelle to get ready for her date with Ruby.

Michelle's P.O.V

After Weiss had left to talk to her sister I got up from the bed and got changed into my purple and black dress that I wore when I had that dance with Ruby not that long ago as I looked in the mirror and thought to myself, "I know I don't usually wear dresses but...tonight is special and I kinda like my dress and I just hope Ruby will enjoy what I have planned"

I then braided my hair on one side just like my mother used to do before I then sat down on the bed and looked at the picture of my mother on my scroll as I said to myself, "I think about you everyday mum and I wish you were here so I could introduce you to my girlfriend Ruby, do you think Ruby will like going on a dinner date with me?"

Ruby then came back into their dorm room she was shocked to see Michelle wearing her purple and black dress and her hair was braided on one side and she blinked a couple times before she said, "Hey umm Michelle what's with the dress? Is it a special occasion?" and Michelle blushed a little as she replied,

"Yeah, it is a special occasion as umm Ruby w-would you go on a dinner date with me?"

And Ruby stood still for a few moments and Michelle was worried Ruby didn't like her idea before Ruby then leaped onto her with a hug as Ruby said, "Oh my god, of course I would like to go on a dinner date with you!" before she then broke the hug as Michelle smiled and gave Ruby a deep and passionate kiss on her lips before they both fell onto the bed with Ruby on top of Michelle.

They then broke the kiss as air became an issue for them and Ruby smiled down at her girlfriend as she said, "well, umm I guess I should probably get ready for our date then shouldn't I?" and Michelle smiled up at Ruby and giggled a little as she replied,

"Yeah, you should probably get ready for our date Ruby but I also wanted to talk to you about what General Ironwood said about us living in Atlas when this is all over."

Ruby then got off her girlfriend as they sat on the bed together before she smiled as she said, "I'm listening Michelle, and to be honest umm I have been giving that a lot of thought as well." And Michelle smiled before she took a deep breath as she replied,

"As much as I like Atlas...I think when this is all over I want to live with you in patch I-If you want to that is."

Then Ruby smiled as she gave Michelle a kiss on her lips before she said, "I would love to live in patch with you when this is all over Michelle because I umm I agree with you and I do think Atlas is nice but I think patch would be much better for us." Before she took a deep breath as she continued, "Anyway, I am going to get Yang to help me get ready for our dinner date." Before she skipped out of the room and down the hallway to find her sister to help her get ready for her dinner date.

A/N: I am glad you guys are loving this story because I am having a ton of fun writing it and I borrowed from RWBY chibi a little as I thought that episode where zwei tried to cheer Blake up with cuddles was cute and so I thought it would be a cute idea to do something like that for Michelle and Ruby. Anyway the next chapter will be all about Michelle and Ruby's dinner date will it be a perfect evening? Or will someone interrupt their little date? Stay tuned to find out.
