Levi walked out of his room, phone in hand looking over the many texts he had received. As he stared at his phone, he bumped into the coffee table and lifted his gaze up to see Eren sleeping on the couch. Piles of books and papers surrounded Eren, Levi smiled as he saw Eren's chest rise with each breath. Levi's phone began to buzz with more text messages, he sighed and grabbed his coat. He gently closed the door making sure not to wake the sleeping boy.

Levi arrived at the scene and almost turned back at the sight of the crowd surrounding the bodies. He took a breath and chugged the remaining coffee he had before heading over to the crowd of people. As he walked past them he could hear them mumbling, whispering to one another, watching as Levi walked over to the crime scene tape.

"Omg, what happened to that poor boy."

"I heard that there was a girl, too."

"Really? I was only able to see one body."

"I heard it was a gang thing."

"Why haven't the police caught these people."

"What if they come after my children next."

Levi shrugged off the comments and got closer to the covered bodies.

"What do we have here, Hanji?"

"A body and a head. Body belongs to a male and from what I can tell the head is from a female. Male looks to be around his mid-20s, female maybe in her early 20's. Cause of death is kinda tricky considering well," Hanji moved closer to the bodies and moved the tarp that was covering them.

"The male is missing all of his right sides and the only thing we have for the female is a head. The male seems to have some marking around his wounds-"

"Bite marks."

"Possibly, from what I can tell they aren't from any animals around this area, they look somewhat like human teeth but I can't say for certain."

"Any chance of identifying them?"

"The finger-prints on the male seem to have been shaved off, I'd have to work to reconstruct his facial features but with some luck we could try to see if anyone can recognize him. For the female, she has some resemblance to the missing girl that's been on the news."

Levi's eyes shifted to the female's head and sighed, "This is going to be hell," he shook his head and looked at the crowd, "let's hurry and get them back to the lab."

Levi walked into his apartment, exhausted from his workday. As soon as he stepped foot into the apartment he was greeted with the smell of freshly baked cookies. All his worries seemed to melt away, as his body moved closer to the freshly baked goods. When he reached the kitchen, the countertop was covered in cookies. He scanned the messy kitchen, his eyes landing on flour-covered Eren mixing another batch of cookies.

"What the occasion?"

Eren jumped, "Oh Levi," Eren looked at the cookies around him and back at Levi, "I tend to bake when I get stressed."

Levi smiled, "That's an interesting outlet for your stress," he grabbed a cookie and bit into it. "Sweet. What's got you stressed out?"

"I've been studying for days to help prepare for the exam but every time I try to study my mind gets foggy. I couldn't do anything and I just stared at the book. At one point I think the words started to mock me, I almost ripped the book apart. I think I stared at the same page for 2 hours. Before I ripped up all my books, I started to bake."

"Well, as much as I would love to fill the apartment with cookies, I think you are going to end up using all of our ingredients." Levi thought to himself for a moment, before smiling back at Eren, "I sing a song to calm myself down."

Eren hummed as he put his remaining batch of cookies into the oven, "Do you have a particular song?"

"Yeah, it goes like this. ~You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey~ you get the idea."

Eren stopped, "that song sounds familiar. I think I might try it out. Would you mind sending me the rest of the song."

Levi grabbed another cookie, "Sure." Then headed into his room. A few minutes later, Eren's phone buzzed with a message. Levi had sent him a voice recording of the song. Eren put on his earphones and listened to Levi's husky voice sing.

After repeating the recording a couple of times, Eren began to hum along. Packing up the many cookies he had made, as well as cleaning along the way. With the last cookie packed, Eren made his way into his room laying on his back and letting Levi's voice filled his head. He closed his eyes and felt his mind begin to wonder.

Levi is so sweet. He makes me feel so comfortable….which is weird I've only known him for like a month. Yet, I feel like I have known him all my life, maybe we've met in a past life...hahaha what am I thinking?

Eren whispered the song as he started to drift off to sleep.
