Chapter 20
The castle was quiet it was around two a.m. and everyone was asleep the only thing that could be hear was the thunder and rain outside.
Suddenly a loud crash rang through out the castle. Rapuzel and Eugene shot up in bed. Skye and Lucas ran into their parents room, followed by Liana and Flynn running out of their rooms.
"Rapuzel, stay with Flynn, Skye and Lucas." Eugene said getting out of bed. "Liana you're with me." He said pointing at her. Liana nodded and followed her dad.
"Where did that noise come from?" Eugene asked some guards rushing by. "The room where we store the crowns." One of the guards said continuing to rush off.
Eugene took Liana to the armory and grabbed them swords. "Here." Eugene said handing her one. "I'm good." Liana said holding her frying pan she kept in her room just in case someone tried to break in her room.
When they reached the room they quickly spilt up and looked around the room. Liana suddenly heard a clink like glass hitting together. She carefully walked towards the sound.
She reached a corner and looked around, she moved a pedestal that was in her way. "Hi." A male voice said looking up at her.
Without any hesitation Liana took her frying and slammed him across the head with it. Eugene heard the clang and ran over. "I got him." Liana said spinning her frying pan around on her finger.
Eugene kissed the side of her head. "Nice work." He said going to look at who she Liana had hit. He moved a piece of hair that was over his eyes. Some candles in the room helped illuminate his face.
He stepped back in shock after moving it. "Brock Thunderstrike?!" Eugene exclaimed staring at the man on the floor.
The next morning Eugene went straight to the dungeon. "Morning Flynn, did you sleep well." Brock said leaning on the jail cell. "It's Eugene and why on earth are you trying to steal the crowns." Eugene said sternly.
"It was a job." Brock said walking around. "For who?" Eugene asked grabbing the cell bars. "My girl." Brock said smirking. "Your girl." Eugene scoffed. "Yeah." Brock said offended. "Let me guess her name's Stalyan." Eugene laughed.
"Actually yeah." Brock said nodding his head. "What!" Eugene exclaimed. "Hey daddy can you help with this new move." Liana said walking towards her dad her face in a book of fighting moves.
"Whoa you got a new girl." Brock said impressed. "And she calls you daddy wow you a freak." Brock laughed nudging his shoulder between the bars of the jail cell. "Isn't she a little young." Brock whispered.
"Shut up!" Eugene yelled. "What?" Liana said stopping and looking up. "Not you sweetheart this creep." Eugene said shooting a look at Brock. "I'm just impressed that you got a girl to call you daddy." Brock said crossing his arms. "She's my daughter!" Eugene exclaimed putting his hands on his head. "Ohh well is she single." Brock said running his hands through his hair.
Liana turned towards the cell. "First off, I have a boyfriend and secondly I'm sixteen." Liana said looking at Brock up and down judging him.
"Stop that." Brock said trying to cover random parts of his body. "Can I help you later Li?" Eugene asked. "Yeah, I'll be in the libary with Derick." Liana said leaving.
"Now back to you." Eugene said turning back to Brock. "You're dating Stalyan?" Eugene asked crossing his arms. "Yeah do you know her." Brock asked sitting on the bed. "Know her, shes my ex-fiancé." Eugene exclaimed.
"Dad, dad!" Flynn yelled running in. "You named your kid Flynn." Brock said judgemently. Eugene shushed him. "Yeah Flynn." Eugene said turning to Flynn. "I hit a bullseye during archery practice!" Flynn exclaimed excitedly.
"That's great buddy!" Eugene said roughing up Flynn's hair. "You should try hitting a bag of money next time." Brock mumbled. "Be quiet." Eugene said looking back over at Brock. "Who's that?" Flynn asked looking at Brock who winked at Flynn.
"No one, why don't you go tell mom." Eugene said pointing at the door. "Ok." Flynn said running off.
"So you and Stalyan huh." Brock said walking back over to Eugene. "Why are you doing jobs for her, you know who her dad is right." Eugene said looking at him confused.
"No?" Brock said nervously. "Daddy, daddy!" Skye exclaimed skipping in. "Damn man how many kids you got." Brock said suprised. "Be quiet. Eugene said through clenched teeth. "Hi baby girl." Eugene said kneeling down. "Are you coming to my ballet recital tonight?" Skye said practicing twirls. "I wouldn't miss it for the world. Eugene smiled.
"Yay." Skye said skipping off. "Who's Stalyans dad?" Brock asked scared. "The barren the guy that tried to kill you." Eugene said crossing his arms.
"That's her dad!" Brock yelled. "I think I'm going to faint." Brock exclaimed throwing a hand to his head. The barren had been forced to serve a life in jail but had been put in the maximum security to ensure he didn't escape.
"Daddy!" Lucas yelled walking in. "Are they multiplying?" Brock asked staring at Lucas. "Can you not make a comment every time one of my kids walk in." Eugene said looking at Brock.
"Yeah Lucas." Eugene said looking down. "Do you have any more Flynnagain Rider books." Lucas asked kicking a pebble across the hall. "Why don't you read my tales of Eugene Fitzherbert book, it's on my nightstand." Eugene said patting Lucas's head.
"Ok." Lucas said walking off. "Why did Stalyan need you to steal the crowns?" Eugene asked looking over at Brock who was freaked about the whole Barron situation.
"I don't know she just said steal the crowns, and I said but what about Eugene and she said just take your time." Brock said putting his finger his chin.
"Hey Eugene guess what." Rapunzel yelled from the hall. "What?" Eugene said throwing his hands in the air. "Look who it is." Rapunzel said walking in with Stalyan next to her. "Babe!" Brock said excitedly.
"Brock Thunderstrike." Rapunzel said suprised. "Yep." Eugene groaned. "Look Rider can you let him go I won't tell anyone." Stalyan said crossing her arms. "You know what." Eugene said unlocking the cell.
"Take him, I can't take him anymore." Eugene said opening the door. "Yes!" Brock exclaimed pumping his fist in the air. "If you don't mind I have a daughter that needs my assistance." Eugene said walking away.
Rapunzel giggled. "Hey Stalyan, Brock." Rapunzel called turned around seeing them leave. "Yeah." Stalyan said turning around. "You may want to pay your dad a vist he's downstairs." Rapunzel said walking away. "Oh that's a good idea, come on Brock you can meet my dad." Stalyan said grabbing his hand."
"Oh no." Brock gulped being pulled away by Stalyan.
